Apr 1, 2018 By LJDK8I loved the games, I paid a couple bucks for it and it was completely worth it. I learned the cords quickly. That was about a month ago and then it updated and said that it had a new tabs button and could teach better, cool beans, clicked the buy button in the app. It said purchase confirmed - $22 bucks. Nothing has changed, tabs is just a white blank. It hasn't taken the money out of my account yet but I'm confused as to why it keeps harassing me in the app to purchase what it says I've already purchased for nothing to change? Good app until it became really annoying and just keeps crashing now. more -

There are however some things I would change. The whole premium thing, kinda gets in the way of learning how to play. I get that this is a free game, but it’s kinda difficult to play sometimes. So that’s one thing I would change. In fact, the only thing I would change. The premium is fine, but maybe just free some things up. So, If you’re thinking about getting this app, do it! It’s such a great app! If you’re a developer or something, thanks for reading my review! You’re app is awesome! Cya! more -

I couldn’t use this app at first which I get because the uke was SOO out of tune so it didn’t pick up the notes but then I got it and it this app works pretty well! I love how I can find different chords I’m not familiar with on it and metronome is helpful also. So that’s the good part. The meh part is that those are the only things you can do on there without paying for premium. Everything else is quite limited. I can only play one song that uses tabs which I just started learning. It would be nice to have some more songs you can play that use chords too. Another “meh” thing about this app is that it’s kind of hard to figure out what everything is. The directions should be clearer. But it a good app. I use it all the time for tuning. more -

The clarity of a nicely tuned ukulele is amazing. I didn't notice my ukulele wasn't tuned all the way (tried by ear) but when I perfected it, I noticed that it makes all the difference. I'm definitely keeping this app on my phone. It isn't complicated but I think we as a society tend to complicate things for no reason which is what I did at first. But all in all, this is the best one I've used. Very straight to the point. No ads also which is great because I can focus on the important thing- my ukulele. more -

I found this app and now that I understand how to use it I think it's incredible but as a brand-new musician the one criticism I would make is that when you open the app there should be an option to explain how this is used. If there is one then I missed it and it should be more obvious. I suppose that people who play the ukulele and the guitar are familiar enough with this that they wouldn't need it but for someone like me a quick instructional would have been nice. Otherwise this is a real life saver for a quick tuning. more -

I got this app to learn cause I’m a beginner but then I didn’t play the Uke for a while. So I deleted the app for more space. Now I have more time on my hands and I wanna get back to playing the Uke and I still need to learn how to tune and all of that, and I liked this app before so I went to download it again. And I downloaded it. And I can’t open it. And no matter how hard I try I can’t. I don’t know what’s wrong is it my phone? And I tried downloading other random games and I can open them. Just not this specific one. more -

Here I download an app expecting to be able to tune my new Ukulele given to me by my girlfriend for my birthday, but the app keeps me from making melodious and incredible music with my phresh (so fresh it’s a ph) Ukulele. This app is like a firework that shot into the air but didn’t burst. It’s like a story that ends “and then he woke up”. Julie Andrews could’ve written a song called “My Least Favorite Things” and this would be the first thing listed. I hope your experience is different, but sweet mercy I don’t have the patience for it. more -
Actually pretty good

But some how the app was deleted from my phone I didn't notice for awhile though. When I did I immediately added it and tried to use it, but it can never get past the loading page. It always crashes and never gives me a notification telling me why. I've tried restarting the app several times, delegating and re-adding the app, I even tried restarting my phone, but nothing works. This is for sure a 4 out of 5 app if I didn't have the issues with simple opening up the app. more -

With multiple tools like a beat counter, Tuner (of course), and a place where it shows you cords, I only need the tuning but for a beginner this would be great since it shows and helps you get started. I really like this app and is a great tool. And I hugely recommend it. Great job developer!! more

But it is a good app overall so if you just need it for tuning or learning basic chords, than get with out hesitation. I give it five stars because I just need it for tuning and I don’t need the other stuff. My mom and Dad say that I am going to need better teaching so I am asking for a membership on my birthday which is March 13. Thanks for making this app! Love it! more

The app would only pick up the G and E strings, completely not acknowledging the C and A. As in I would play the C string and it would only say that it was an off-key G or E string. It was very frustrating because I couldn’t play my uke (correctly anyways) for a while since it it was so out of tune and I am not experienced enough to do it by ear. I had to purchase a Snark tuner and had to wait a while for shipping. Also, I was especially disappointed after seeing that this app had worked so well for many other people. p.s.- I am usually not a person to write a rude review but after my experience and the fact that it still continuously asks me to write a review, I thought it was necessary more -

Jun 26, 2018 By HoshiAkariI downloaded it to help me tune my ukulele and it was doing an amazing job... until they updated the app. The display and design is a lot worse, it doesn’t even fit my phone screen, the bottom display and right side display is cut off so I can’t even read or figure out how to use this app anymore. It’s slow and glitchy and I don’t know why it’s acting this way. I deleted and redownloaded it and it’s still stuck this way. It’s really frustrating when I want to do simple things like figure out a chord, or just simply tune and I can’t because of the display. I really liked the display before but now it’s a mess. Wish it could go back to what it was. more -

But every time the subscription renews I lose full access to the app that I’m paying $5.99 a week for. The first time it happened they fixed it right away and I was able to access the full within an hour of reporting the problem. This time, however, it’s been two days since reporting the problem and I’ve received no response about the problem, I still don’t have full access to the app and they haven’t reimbursed my money. They’ve charged me for the week , they should either fix the problem or give me my money back. more -
It is absolute garbage

When I try to tune, I tuned low far too much, tuned higher even more, and the tuner in the app stayed at the red color, and at lowest number, “-50”. This app is a waste of time and I highly unrecommend you downloading it. I am in the backseat of a car going to a tryout for the South Carolina School of the Arts right now, and I need to play quite a few songs to get in. Now I am a minute away from the audition with an untuned ukulele. Absolutely wonderful. Just trust me. It is a rip-off. It had quite good reviews when I downloaded it, which were obviously botted. This is probably one of the few true reviews (if not the only) you will find. more -

I go into the tuning part of this app and I play a note. When I play the not it doesn’t respond to my not to tune it. I play a different note and it still doesn’t work. I would rate this no stars if I could cause that’s just one part that doesn’t work. I go to play a song to see if this app deserves at least a star. When I go into the learning tab I see one of my favorite songs and I learn that it’s premium and the only one I could do is MARY had a little lamb. more -

I have been working on my picking skills and when you’re picking instead of strumming, it is SUPER obvious when your uke is not in tune. This app does absolutely nothing to tune your uke. Ukuleles get out of tune often and very easily (like you have to tune it every two-three songs depending on your instrument.) But every time I try to pull out the tuner it says all of my strings are in tune. If you’re intending this app as a tuner, I would look for another one. There are other benefits to the app for beginners though, so I wouldn’t completely shirk it. 🤷🏼♀️ more -
Great app, poor customer service

After I deleted the app I assumed that it would stop charging my card. However, even after removing the app, it continued charging me every week for over a year. After scouring the app and internet, I found no obvious way to cancel my payment. I contacted their services and still haven’t heard back. Extremely unprofessional and not user friendly. more -
For me it did not pick up my A chord
Apr 26, 2019 By x___x.vkthe app picked up all of my other chords flawlessly, granted my ukulele was really out of tune and im a beginner at tuning for this is my first time using it in a couple of months, the strings were practically brand new but as i got my other three chords perfect my A chord wasnt picking up for anything other than ‘too low’ on the tuning option, so i kept tightening it until eventually my string snapped, so now i have a tuned 3 string ukulele, i hope they fix this bug soon or perhaps my ukulele was too out of tune to fix. more -

I have not gotten the better app yet, but I just wanted to say this about this app. I also have to say how it makes everything so you have to buy” ExtRa” all the things in this app should be free because this is meant for musicians so that they can learn. I have to say I wish I had not tried to tune my ukulele with this. more -
Take this with a grain of salt

I didn’t know weather my violins tuner would work on the ukulele correctly so I used the app. Either my ukulele is SO out of tune that when I play a string the tuner says I’m playing a different one. Like if I’m playing A string it will say C string no matter how I tune it. Take this with a grain of salt Bc I don’t know what I doing really. It’s my first time an I may just be bad at it idk 😐. more

Apr 10, 2018 By Cytlaly gomezI just bought my first ukulele yesterday and I didn’t know that it was so out of tune when I got it but when I watched tutorials on how to play it I noticed it was waaaaay to high pitched so when I downloaded the first tuning app that popped up (which was this one) it was incredibly accurate on recognizing the strings your trying to tune and it helps a lot because once you finish tuning the ukulele it sounds so clear and calming. 5 star rating for me👌 more -

I’m giving this app 5 stars because if you enable notifications every day at 8pm this app will give you a notification that just says: UKULELE TIME! and it seems very happy and makes me quite excited, so every night at 8pm when I see the notification I will yell “UKULELE TIME!” to my partner and it has caused several laughs and brought us even closer together. It’s about as accurate as my snark tuner and is a great tool to have for the many times I or someone I am with forgets to bring a regular tuner or the tuner is out of batteries. For months this is what I used when I kept forgetting or didn’t have time to pickup batteries for my tuner (I probably should’ve just ordered them but because of this app I didn’t need to!). 😆 more -

That was about a month ago and then it updated and said that it had a new tabs button and could teach better, cool beans, clicked the buy button in the app. It said purchase confirmed - $22 bucks. Nothing has changed, tabs is just a white blank. It hasn't taken the money out of my account yet but I'm confused as to why it keeps harassing me in the app to purchase what it says I've already purchased for nothing to change? Good app until it became really annoying and just keeps crashing now. more -
Great but more instruction would be useful

I found this app and now that I understand how to use it I think it's incredible but as a brand-new musician the one criticism I would make is that when you open the app there should be an option to explain how this is used. If there is one then I missed it and it should be more obvious. I suppose that people who play the ukulele and the guitar are familiar enough with this that they wouldn't need it but for someone like me a quick instructional would have been nice. Otherwise this is a real life saver for a quick tuning. more -

And I downloaded it. And I can’t open it. And no matter how hard I try I can’t. I don’t know what’s wrong is it my phone? And I tried downloading other random games and I can open them. The sentence isn’t even proper English and it’s kind of annoying. Sometimes I can bypass it and go to the app, other times not so much. So is this a weird ad or are you really changing to app and want everyone to download a new one? more -

Just because you are playing the E string doesn't mean your tone is closest to an E and the app (free version at least) just helps you get closer to the note you are already close to, so look at which note it's steering you toward lest you tune two strings to the same note... more -

I think it’s kinda expensive, I personally would pay that per month but it’s around $24 monthly! Just that but anyways i’ll stay with the free tools. I couldn’t use this app at first which I get because the uke was SOO out of tune so it didn’t pick up the notes but then I got it and it this app works pretty well! I love how I can find different chords I’m not familiar with on it and metronome is helpful also. So that’s the good part. The meh part is that those are the only things you can do on there without paying for premium. Everything else is quite limited. I can only play one song that uses tabs which I just started learning. It would be nice to have some more songs you can play that use chords too. Another “meh” thing about this app is that it’s kind of hard to figure out what everything is. The directions should be clearer. But it a good app. I use it all the time for tuning. more -

But some how the app was deleted from my phone I didn't notice for awhile though. When I did I immediately added it and tried to use it, but it can never get past the loading page. It always crashes and never gives me a notification telling me why. I've tried restarting the app several times, delegating and re-adding the app, I even tried restarting my phone, but nothing works. This is for sure a 4 out of 5 app if I didn't have the issues with simple opening up the app. more -

There is an auto mode where you can specifically choose the string your playing, but you have to pay for that. I get that’s how they make a profit but some of us barely use the app or don’t have the money. This made me really frustrated. I don’t use the app anymore but it could also be my iOS or my microphone but the app I use now fits perfectly. more -

Also if you try the ‘repeat’ mode which is critical for learning, the app glitches heavily every time. It does not work. They have some bugs to work out. Lastly the pricing advertised is different in each screen. I hope my ‘lifelong use’ purchase doesn’t disappear next year! more -

Amazing but a lil Problem

The only problem is that when trying to practice he beginner songs it thinks that my A string is my G string, my E string as my C string, My C string as my E string, and my G string as my A. When I press the listen button to the song the G string sounds like the A string. It may or may not just be a bug of some sort but I really was looking forward in practicing with the songs. more -

I also can’t see the whole display, the top parts are not visible (where the camera is on iPhone XS). Also could use some mainstream songs especially for beginner. The app would only pick up the G and E strings, completely not acknowledging the C and A. As in I would play the C string and it would only say that it was an off-key G or E string. It was very frustrating because I couldn’t play my uke (correctly anyways) for a while since it it was so out of tune and I am not experienced enough to do it by ear. I had to purchase a Snark tuner and had to wait a while for shipping. Also, I was especially disappointed after seeing that this app had worked so well for many other people. p.s.- I am usually not a person to write a rude review but after my experience and the fact that it still continuously asks me to write a review, I thought it was necessary more -
Was great until the update

It’s slow and glitchy and I don’t know why it’s acting this way. I deleted and redownloaded it and it’s still stuck this way. It’s really frustrating when I want to do simple things like figure out a chord, or just simply tune and I can’t because of the display. I really liked the display before but now it’s a mess. Frustrated

But every time the subscription renews I lose full access to the app that I’m paying $5.99 a week for. The first time it happened they fixed it right away and I was able to access the full within an hour of reporting the problem. This time, however, it’s been two days since reporting the problem and I’ve received no response about the problem, I still don’t have full access to the app and they haven’t reimbursed my money. They’ve charged me for the week , they should either fix the problem or give me my money back. more -
For me it did not pick up my A chord
Apr 26, 2019 By x___x.vkthe app picked up all of my other chords flawlessly, granted my ukulele was really out of tune and im a beginner at tuning for this is my first time using it in a couple of months, the strings were practically brand new but as i got my other three chords perfect my A chord wasnt picking up for anything other than ‘too low’ on the tuning option, so i kept tightening it until eventually my string snapped, so now i have a tuned 3 string ukulele, i hope they fix this bug soon or perhaps my ukulele was too out of tune to fix. more -

I didn’t know weather my violins tuner would work on the ukulele correctly so I used the app. Either my ukulele is SO out of tune that when I play a string the tuner says I’m playing a different one. Like if I’m playing A string it will say C string no matter how I tune it. Take this with a grain of salt Bc I don’t know what I doing really. Until I accidentally hit one of my ukulele’s strings, which somehow ended up in it loosening a LOT. So, I needed this app again. It was the A string, so when I started tuning it again, it kept saying it had to be higher/tighter. I tightened the string, and it snapped. Either the mic on my iPad didn’t work, or it’s the app being dumb. Really disappointed and frustrated. more -

I just dealt with the glitching until today and I deleted the app and then I just went and found a new one. What the glitches did was it wouldn’t let me even get on the app and it would just close the app out. It also would ask me for my iCloud password so I could buy things when I didn’t even touch the screen.. more -
Stuck on the title screen

I have to close the app repeatedly in the hopes that it will open on one of several tries. When I try to tune, I tuned low far too much, tuned higher even more, and the tuner in the app stayed at the red color, and at lowest number, “-50”. This app is a waste of time and I highly unrecommend you downloading it. I am in the backseat of a car going to a tryout for the South Carolina School of the Arts right now, and I need to play quite a few songs to get in. Now I am a minute away from the audition with an untuned ukulele. Absolutely wonderful. Just trust me. It is a rip-off. It had quite good reviews when I downloaded it, which were obviously botted. This is probably one of the few true reviews (if not the only) you will find. more -

I go into the tuning part of this app and I play a note. When I play the not it doesn’t respond to my not to tune it. I play a different note and it still doesn’t work. I would rate this no stars if I could cause that’s just one part that doesn’t work. I go to play a song to see if this app deserves at least a star. When I go into the learning tab I see one of my favorite songs and I learn that it’s premium and the only one I could do is MARY had a little lamb. more -

I have been working on my picking skills and when you’re picking instead of strumming, it is SUPER obvious when your uke is not in tune. This app does absolutely nothing to tune your uke. Ukuleles get out of tune often and very easily (like you have to tune it every two-three songs depending on your instrument.) But every time I try to pull out the tuner it says all of my strings are in tune. If you’re intending this app as a tuner, I would look for another one. There are other benefits to the app for beginners though, so I wouldn’t completely shirk it. 🤷🏼♀️ more -
Great app, poor customer service

After I deleted the app I assumed that it would stop charging my card. However, even after removing the app, it continued charging me every week for over a year. After scouring the app and internet, I found no obvious way to cancel my payment. I contacted their services and still haven’t heard back. Extremely unprofessional and not user friendly. more -

Recently I got a new phone and every time I try to tune my ukulele it doesn’t pick anything up. I’ve tried re-downloading the app to see if it would fix it and nothing happened. Quarantine has made me so unmotivated to do my school work that I decided to pick up the uke. Needed an easy tuner bc I don’t know how to do that. This ain’t it chief. Whenever I would tune one chord and move on to the next, it would say that the previous chord I had tuned was wrong. Don’t spend your money or time on this. Should’ve done my homework instead of trying this app smh more
What’s Groovy
First off this is the best app I’ve seen for a beginner looking to learn uke, or just someone wanting a reliable tuner. I adore the selection of tabs provided, and the game has just the right amount of tools to guide you into learning the songs. Major flaws however. Namely even though I purchased premium, I have to exit out of this annoying add for another tuner every time I open the app, even if I just want to quick tune. I even ended up caving in and downloading the advertised app just to see if the screen would go away, news flash, it didn’t. Another major flaw is the constant crashing if the app, and how the star system at the end is completely broken. It’d be nice to see my progress across all the tabs I’ve practiced, but the star rating just never seems to register. All in all I’d highly recommend it, but if the flaws mentioned above are never addressed I could see myself dropping it.

What’s Subpar
Ok so I am a beginner so I’m trying to figure out how to play these notes and tune it and play songs easily but When I try to listen to Mary had the little lamb the beginner song it’s like oh you need to have premium for this and I’m just like I’m just trying to learn how to play and your trying to charge me money just so I can listen to a beginner song?!! NO! Also if you are a beginner DO NOT GET THIS APP it’s SO confusing with all the different parts and everything you click I feel like it just pops up with HEY you need premium for this so you need to give money to have this! For a stupid app that you probably don’t even need! Ok so I am definitely deleting this app and creators I know you are just trying to make it work and you know trying to teach people but like can you stop it with the premium this and maybe add directions to everything so like beginner beginners can understand more, if you did those two things the app would be fine.
