Multi-faceted game. Dangerously addictive.
Apr 16, 2022 ... more lessTbh all the ads convinced me to play and I thought it was going to be exactly like it was shown and those are just parts of the gameplay. It’s a mix of those Hollywood HP type games with the puzzles to try and kill the zombies with a storyline in between so more like a Harry Potter type of game app if you want an idea of how this game is like so you have limited refillable HP and time constructs for builds and challenges. I like how they designed the game so that you can come up with different strategies to get the resources you need and to improve the player stats. I don’t like that you need a particular resource to raise the heroes’ stats so even when you have them in many battles they stay at the same level unless you give them the HP booster or the fragments. I understand the fragments need to be collected but the HP should at least have a skill gain. It’s not even available in a large bulk in the store and sometimes it’s not available as an option. It’s hard to obtain a lot for higher skill levels yet the output at home or at a zombie raid is the same. For that reason even though I’ve loved and enjoyed this game for literally 2 days straight I could not put my phone down I’m going to stop playing because it’s really hard to raise the hero stat.

May 15, 2022 ... more lessPuzzle duel game mode is imbalanced. It puts you against a player with a completely different health pool from you own. Which gives one player complete advantage. Not to mention the moments of lag time during a real-time match. If you end up lagging through to the end of your turn, you automatically lose the turn or end up losing the match entirely. The entire experience is frustrating because there is barely any sense of strategy when all the falling pieces are just randomly generated.

Feb 12, 2022 ... more lessWill give more stars when certain ads are removed that literally hold you hostage. Example: Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles, when this ad pops up when I'm trying to get my daily ad free stuff, it is impossible to get out of it no matter what you do. All you can do is restart the game and hope it doesn't come up again. I've had to do this twice a day for a fkn week dude. And you won't get that reward so it's a giant waste of time.

Locked out after refund
Jan 4, 2022 ... more lessI started this game about 6 weeks ago and was having fun. Decent game, minimal issues, similar to many idle games w/ their own twist. I made a purchase of $3.99 which I thought was a monthly purchase to receive rewards each day for 30 days, but it turned out to be a one-time purchase so I requested a refund. I then got 5 or 6 pre-form, in-game mail messages about how I was cheating the game and would be locked out of pvp content and other rewards for requesting a refund. At this point I opted not to make another purchase and see if this lock out would eventually go away, but it has been 3 weeks and I am still locked out from even participating in daily, basic pvp. Really glad I didn’t end up putting any more money into this game as it is a terrible policy to lock folks out. I’ve seen games that will take away the purchase you made or make you make up the difference by subtracting gems or items from your account, which I would have been fine with. But to lock out content is idiotic. Uninstalling the game today as there are plenty of other games on the market to scratch the idle-itch that don’t cut you off from content because you refund a purchase from them, and then try to force you to make the purchase again to access the full game.
