Must-Have Apps for English Teachers
Teaching is such a rewarding profession. Make things more enjoyable for you and your students using apps this year.
Whether you're a first-year teacher or you've been teaching for 10 years, one thing you know is that classroom management is essential and smart. Now it's even easier than ever with apps for teachers and online teaching apps. There are apps that you can download to create your lesson plans and organize tests and grades. These phone apps can make your classroom even more organized and ready to help your students learn.
Along with apps to manage your classroom, you want to make sure that your students are engaged. It used to be that teachers had to look for software for teachers to use in the classroom to make learning fun, but now all they have to do is look at their smartphone for apps. Some of the best apps for teachers in 2019 are created to make learning interesting and fun. You may have an effective language teaching strategy, but if you don't make the information interesting for students to learn, they'll simply get bored.
Finally, you want to make sure that you're tailoring your teaching to your students. After all, you're going to use a different method of teaching English in primary classes than you would in middle school, high school or college. Younger students may not be able to totally grasp the structure of the English language while older students will. There are many English teaching methods and approaches that you can choose from, so you want to look at your students' needs and then choose the right one for them. This will help you be successful in your job.

Sharing this as we shouldn't leave those kids behind with reading difficulties. This app helped my dyslexic daughter to practise reading and gain confidence and motivation to keep going. The Montessori way of colouring letters helpt her with letter reversals (no more stopping mid word to try and recognise the shape only) and so much with decoding! We use the app to practise reading with our non dyslectic son too as he loves the word-to-text to learn new words independently.
