Great Apps to Become More Organized in Daily Life
Is it your New Year's Resolution to get organized? There's an app for that, or several, to help you do that. We'll show you how.
One of the things that 2020 taught us is that life is a lot better when you are organized. When you are working from home, and the kids are learning from home, things can get pretty hectic. So, I'm going to give you some apps to help you get organized and stay organized even after life goes back to normal.
The first thing I suggest is getting a good calendar app. This way, you can keep up to date with your work assignments, your children's school assignments, and any appointments that you might have, virtual or otherwise. Everyone knows where they need to be and when, and what needs to be done by a certain point.
The next thing you need is something to track your home inventory. My colleague is going to suggest his favorite below, but this is something I believe everyone should have, even when we aren't stocking up on supplies due to a health crisis. Some apps send you alerts when something is about to expire, so you don't waste money, which is a great feature. But this way, when you are making up your food shopping list or placing a grocery order to be delivered, you know what you have and what you need so you don't wind up with 100 cans of peas.
Finally, one of the best things you can do is organize the items that you have. Go through your closet and all of your DVDs, books, etc., that you have amassed. If you're like me, you have switched to mostly digital movies, music, and books anyway. There are plenty of apps where you can sell items, such as OfferUp. Or, you could do like I do and give your movies to your friends. They were so happy to get them! Not only that, but I now have a lot more room.
Being organized can be difficult sometimes, but using apps can make it a lot easier. When you are organized, you are a lot more productive and efficient.
