Best Apps for Paleontology Enthusiasts
Love dinosaurs and fossils? Then we are sure that you love paleontology. Here are some apps that you might find helpful.
Do you remember June 11, 1993? Whether you do or you don't, it was quite a momentous occasion. This is when the first Jurassic Park movie first came out, and people who loved dinosaurs everywhere rejoiced.
Although the idea that we could clone dinosaurs from blood found in mosquitos has been debunked, for now anyway, it sure brought the love of paleontology to many people. If you are interested in science and fossils, or you just want to see dinosaurs, Dino Quest is a good place to start.
Now, if you are looking for something beyond a game and what you can find out through Hollywood, there are a couple of helpful apps that you can download. First, I recommend the Palaeontology Dictionary, which helps you to learn all about the different fossils.
The other app is the Coursera app. This app has many different paleontology courses that you can take. It's a great choice for people who really want to learn interesting things about the past. Who knows? Maybe you'll want to become a paleontologist.
Finally, if you love dinosaurs and you'd like to see a T-rex, then you will want to download Jurassic World and Jurassic World Alive. The second game is similar to Pokemon Go and Wizards Unite in that it uses AR so that it looks like the dinosaurs are real and right in the world with you. Of course, the main advantage is that you don't have to run for your life and worry about being disemboweled. That's a big advantage in my book!
Whether you want to learn some cool stuff about fossils or you simply want to walk with dinosaurs, there are plenty of apps out there to help you out.

I have this huge rock that I’ve had probably since I was 10. It has a large variety of fossils in it and I was so happy to find this app. I’ve downloaded it and as soon as I get home I’ll be trying it out.
