Best Apps for Getting Story Ideas
Whether you are writing for school or you are writing for yourself, sometimes it can be hard to find topics. We'll show you how apps can spark your inspiration.
Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I was so happy 13 years ago when I discovered that I could make money doing it. Although most of my writing is for clients, sometimes I want to write something that is just for me.
As I write blogs for various clients, one of the things I often have to do is to provide them with a photograph to go along with their blogs. I often go to websites where you can find free stock photos, such as Pixabay. However, when I am looking for inspiration for stories, one of the best places you can go to is social media apps. Apps such as Instagram, Reddit, and other platforms have a wealth of photos that can just spark inspiration, even when you aren't looking for it. Sometimes you can even find writing prompts on them.
Now, when photographs really aren't doing it for me, or I simply want a different kind of inspiration, I use an old standby from my fanfiction writing days - writing prompts. It's been years since I wrote fanfiction because I simply don't have the time anymore, but having someone give me a writing prompt that was specifically for me back then challenged me. I was often surprised at what I came up with because many times it was out of my comfort zone.
There are a ton of writing prompt apps, and they can help you to end your writer's block. Some of them are what-if scenarios, and others give you the plot. With so many from which to choose, you can find the right one for you.
Finally, it's amazing what will spark inspiration sometimes. I can't tell you the number of times I will be doing nothing at all and suddenly get an idea for a story. It could be when I'm listening to music, when I'm playing a game, or just when I'm relaxing. So, when you are having trouble coming up with ideas, don't push yourself too hard. Simply play a favorite relaxing game or listen to some music. If you've been struggling to find something to write about, maybe it;'s time to give your brain a rest and do something else. Many times, that's all you need, and inspiration will come.

When I was doing my research for this bundle, I have to say I was doing it because it's a problem I have myself. So, I was really happy to find this app, and it's one that I'll be using a LOT this coming year. It has lots of features, so you could literally write 100s of stories from it.
