Best Apps for Entertaining a Sick Child
Having a sick child is hard both on you and them. But with the right apps, you can keep them entertained throughout their illness.
As a parent, it hurts you when your child is sick. You also know that there are different levels of sickness. The first level is your child is sick in bed and just doesn't want to do anything. So first, we're going to go with a couple of app suggestions that require very little to no participation from your child.
If your child loves books, especially Harry Potter or another series, why not let them listen to one of their favorite books as an audiobook? It will keep them entertained, and they can even drift off to sleep while listening to it. There are several options to choose from, so look around and see what one works best.
You can also add some of their favorite songs to a station on Pandora just for them to help them get through their illness.
Next comes the second stage. Your child is feeling better. Instead of being in bed, they're on the couch. But they still want their blanket and they still have the sniffles. Now is a good time to pull out Disney+. Fun and familiar characters like princes and princesses or even their favorite Marvel superheroes might just make them feel better and forget about their cold or flu for a while. And if they fall asleep while watching it, it's not like they haven't seen it 1,000 times before, right?
Finally, your child is much better. Now, they may not be cleared to go back to school yet but they're up and around, and let's face it, you're so over "Let It Go". Now is the time to have them play some games, color, or draw. You might even sneak in something educational to get them ready for returning to school.
Congratulations! You and your child have weathered another illness and kept your sanity with a little help of apps.

If your little one is feeling crappy, this app can help them see that even their pets can get sick, too! From the popular Toca game series comes this fun app that lets children help out sick pets. It's lots of fun and will help them get their mind off of feeling sick for 1-2 hours s. The artwork is fun and sure to make them smile.
