Best Apps for Choose Your Own Adventure Book Fans
The Choose Your Own Adventure books were so popular back in the 70s through the 90s. Now, thanks to apps, you can choose your own adventures in a whole new way.
I know I'm dating myself here, but I grew up with the Choose Your Own Adventure books. I loved them! So, I came up with this concept to help all of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s to find new and exciting ways to choose your own path with apps.
First, I'm going to discuss a couple of my favorite types of apps. I already mentioned Choices down below, which is my go-to app when I want to make choices that affect my character. A friend of mine loves the app called Chapters. I am going to reiterate, however, that these apps are not for kids. They are definitely written with an adult audience in mind. But they're a lot of fun, and although they don't have pages like the books did, they take you on adventures just the same. My favorite story from Choices is The Royal Romance and the books that follow. But they have horror, fantasy, mystery, and more. There's something for everyone, and they help you with filling lots of spare time.
Now, another app that I love, being a huge Harry Potter fan, is Hogwarts Mystery. This is an RPG where you create a character who goes to Hogwarts and becomes a witch or wizard. You get Sorted into your House, you choose how your character looks and interacts with other students, and you learn magic. If you are like me and a huge fan of the franchise books and movies, this is one app that you will want to download. It's not quite as good as actually going to Hogwarts yourself, but until your letter comes, it's close. Not only that, but it's great for kids and kids at heart.
Finally, if you have read other bundles I have written and seen my other recs, you know that this is not the first time I have mentioned this particular game. However, the number of times I bring it up should indicate how much I love playing it. Dragon Quest of the Stars allows you to choose what type of character you want to be. Whether you choose to be a paladin, a strong warrior, a ranger, or something even better, you are in charge of your fate. Every character style has pros and cons, and they work together with other styles to defeat the NPCs. It's easy to play this game for hours.
I hope this brought back some fond memories of reading the Choose Your Own Adventure books. Please check below for recommendations from other people to see what apps they like.

A friend of mine recommended this app because she'd gotten into it over a year ago. I started playing and I was HOOKED. I've completed 190 chapters on this game and it's highly addictive. Just fair warning - this is NOT for kids. It's very suggestive, so only play it if you're 18 or older.
