If you love to create things or give old items a new life, then magazines with DIY ideas would be beneficial to your craft skills. There are many DIY magazines out there in print form, but many of them are also featured online and in apps. Some apps, like Better Home & Garden, are digital prints of the monthly magazine in which you can subscribe to. With an app designed for the digital print of one magazine, you're able to read articles offline, as well as save certain articles to make it easier to reference them later. For example, if there was a great article on how to use reclaimed wood, which was interesting, but at the time, you didn't have any access to buying or scavenging for it. With the magazine app, you can save it to your favorites so you can find it later when you have some materials to work with.

If you're looking for a new hobby to get into, then you might want to find an app that features many different kinds of DIY or craft magazines. That way, you can read up on different home projects or crafting ideas to see which new hobby or idea gets you inspired and excited.

If you're a die-hard sports fan, then being able to access an article on your favorite player, teams, and stats on the go is very important. For example, having ESPN The Magazine gives you access to everything the printed magazine can offer and so much more. You can find everything sports-related on this app as well as articles about topics surrounding sports or upcoming events.

If you want to focus on a particular sport, such as European or American football, then you may want to be able to find a magazine app that is devoted to only that sport. That way, you get all information in one spot and even more in-depth articles regarding your favorite pastime.

Most importantly, these apps allow you to access articles offline, so whether you're commuting to work or heading out for a weekend getaway, you can read up to date news on whatever sport you enjoy.

If sports or trending popular culture are not of interest to you, but you are instead glued to the latest news from around the world, then news magazine apps can help you stay informed no matter where you are.  For instance, with the Time Magazine app, you can stay up to date on global news, save articles for offline reading, and even be able to share articles with friends and family. The subscription is only a couple of dollars a month and is worth having for the latest news on health, politics, and technological advancements across the world.

If you're a news junkie, but you prefer a more alternative news source, then you can download the Huffington Post app. With this app, you can customize what articles are on the top of your feed as well as receive notifications when breaking news appears. For instance, if you are closely following a local or national election, you can set an alarm to notify you if an article on the related topic is published. This way, you never miss any breaking news on any topic that interests you.

Lastly, if you're a lover of reading articles on all kinds of topics, then you will most definitely want a magazine reader app with unlimited amounts of articles on all different types of topics. For example, an app containing thousands of magazines in one place, like Readly, gives you access to more articles than you'll know what to do with. Also, your online subscription to this app features a sharing of up to 5 family members, so you can save and share articles.

Another app that gives you loads of information and entertainment in one place is Feedly. Here you can organize all the sites and sources that interest you. You will no longer have to bounce in between different blogs, channels, or other platforms. You can read and even share all the content you have as well as keep it organized so you can easily access the content at any time.

Luckily, there are loads of apps out there boasting magazine articles on all kinds of topics. Check out the top 10 magazine reader apps to see if one fits for your interests and style of reading.

    • I love Zinio plain and simple. I can get magazines I love for good prices, across different platforms and devices. I love the interactive features that are exclusive to the zinio editions of magazines. I am a collector, and if I had all the space I needed I would love to collect the hard copies of magazines, save them, reminisce with them. I can do all of that with Zinio except my 2 daughters both under the age of 3 can't destroy my Zinio magazines. They may spill water on my phone but that leaves my iPad etc....I would like to see the library expand to include more titles especially when it comes to sports. You can get the big all inclusive magazines like ESPN, but you can't get The Ring if you are a boxing fan or the Bowling Journal if you are a bowling fan etc... But I really enjoy the magazines I subscribe to on Zinio. It's great now and can only get better.

    • I've had my nook for years. I found taking hard covers places difficult due to size and weight. I don't have a problem with the hyphenation or wrapping of text since I u sweats s that different font sizes will place differently in the viewing page. One suggestion to display by author is a good one since sometimes it alphabetizes by 'The'. For people who can't remember what they've read, they can try archiving books once finished. They are available to unarchive if they want. Keeps the volume down. The fact that I also have the app on my iPhone and tablet allows me to read anywhere. You can also archive a book from your phone or tablet. One suggestion I would offer is Xcode the reader to be able to group 'like' books together while still grouping by author, i.e. Mystery vs Horror vs Self Help vs Health, etc. I would recommend nook for everyone.

    • I am currently on a free trial of Magzter Gold and I like the UK magazines but what I don’t like is that they want to charge me for reading the American magazines which is crazy considering I live in the US. Also another thing I don’t like is that there are too many magazines that are of another language (different languages to be exact) and less of the English language magazines whether it’s UK or US version. Please change my mind and consider including the American magazines as part of your gold subscription? Otherwise I’ll just stick with Apple News + and purchase UK magazines a la carte.
