In a perfect world, people would sit down and eat a well-balanced breakfast and eat the right foods for their meals. But the truth is that with work, family commitments, and other things, it's rare that we eat healthy foods. We often will grab a cup of coffee, a meal at the local fast-food restaurant, or a pizza. If you are feeling sluggish and low on energy, there's a good chance it's because you're not getting the right vitamins in your diet.

The perfect thing about juice is that. unlike a piece of fruit, it's a lot more portable. Think of it this way. Not only does this give you the health benefits of the fruit and veggies that are in your drink, but you don't have to deal with sticky fingers and trash like you would with a fruit or vegetable. This is a huge bonus.

Making Juices at Home

Now, you can go to the grocery store and buy cartons of juice - this is true. However, there are a few problems with that. First of all, you don't know what is in the juice. There could be additives and preservatives in it, plus a lot of sugar and other things in it. Not only that, but it also could have a taste that you don't care for. Finally, if you want to try different flavors, it can be expensive.

When you do your own juicing at home, you can try different combinations right in your own home. For instance, if you are trying to get your children to eat more healthy, you can use your blender and add some carrots into your peaches and make carrot/peach juice. There are plenty of websites and ebooks that you can purchase for juicers who are beginners to experts. There's a great chance that even picky eaters are going to find some yummy juices that they will like.

Once you juice your own juice, there's a good chance that you won't want to go back to drinking store-bought juice again.

Juicing for Weight Loss

In addition, a lot of people have said that drinking juice can help greatly with weight loss. Now, the problem with the juice that you buy in the stores is that it often will contain extra sugar, which of course adds calories. However, when you juice your own fruits and vegetables, you know exactly what goes into your juice so you don't have to worry about extra sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

When you drink homemade fruit and vegetable juice, you are getting the vitamins and minerals that the fruit and vegetables have in them, including the fiber. There are even some juices that are said to be fat burning, such as carrot juice and cucumber juice.

Since juice can often fill you up, your calorie intake also may be reduced. This obviously will help you with losing weight since the fewer calories you take in, the less you weigh. 

Juicing for Better Health

Not only can drinking fresh juice help you lose weight, but it's also is great for your health. There are many people who prefer not to eat fruits or vegetables, but who love juicing. Whether it's due to the taste or another reason, sometimes someone who won't eat a raw or cooked carrot or piece of broccoli will have no trouble drinking a glass of juice. This is especially true when it comes to kids or teenagers.

It's been mentioned before that when you drink the juice of fruits and vegetables, you are going to get the benefits that eating them whole will give you. That's why drinking fruit and vegetable juice is good for your health.

Some people believe in doing a juice cleanse to help clean out their system. Whether you believe this or you just want to use freshly squeezed juice to help your health, you'll find plenty of reasons why it's a good idea.
