Runner UpHello!
My name is Seong-kuk Yun, and I'm the director of Lord of Heroes.
In addition to the screenshots, videos, and other details about the game that we've shared, I wanted to also give you a peek behind the curtain into our hopes and vision for the game.
Our goal for Lord of Heroes was to capture the essence of what games are.
Games can be merely something you enjoy when you're bored or have time to kill, but they can also inspire and influence you in ways that books, TV, online videos, and other media can't.
When I say that, I speak from experience; I became a game developer thanks to the games that inspired me.
The most beloved and highly revered games always find a way to show us something new amidst the familiar, which is exactly what we wanted to do with Lord of Heroes.
Rather than have players step into the role of an unassuming hero who saves the world, we decided to have players take on the role of a monarch who revolutionizes a fallen world.
When designing our characters, we wanted to avoid making them seem overly violent or sexual, and instead focus on diversity and individuality.
As for the gameplay, we worked to design the game in a way that players could progress without having to spend a great amount of time playing.
Some people might not like the game for not having suggestive or violent content, or for not requiring all of your time.
However, we hope for the game to be one that you can easily introduce to your family and friends, and one that will be a natural part of—not an obstacle to—your everyday life.
We are always open to suggestions and feedback, and will do all we can to improve and refine the game.
We hope you'll join us on this journey.
P.S. We've got social media channels you can follow to receive updates, news, and even special gifts! Our Facebook page is listed below.
Sincerely,
Seong-kuk Yun

The 411 from our Appventurer
How we tested?
As I tested each one, I took note of how they compared to Genshin Impact.
To do this, I focused on:
- The story and how engaging it was.
- What the general gameplay was like.
- How good the graphics and animations were.
- How much action was involved in the game.
- The characters that were available to play with.
Plus, so much more.
Why get the app?
We also found that all of the games we tested had very clearly been built for mobile. The graphics were great, and the stories were interesting, which made it more enjoyable as you were playing a game that hadn’t been adapted from another platform but which had been specifically designed for mobile.
More About Dragalia Lost: Our Pick
This game is more action-focused, and in all honesty, it gave us similar vibes to a game we’ve previously tested, Oddmar, although this had nothing to do with the content of the game, and relates more to the actual style of the game.
That’s something you don’t often see with a gacha game, and we’re sure you’ll be just as impressed as we were with it.
It may not be as bold as some of the other games we tested, but the layout fits perfectly with the game's general vibe, and we loved it.
As you get more experience and go further into the game, you’ll continue to be impressed with everything you see.
Because it’s so simple, it can feel a little too easy in the beginning, but it does get more challenging as you progress.
Snags but not drags:
It does get easier after you’ve explored the game, but if you’re brand new to this style of game, you would benefit from spending some time familiarizing yourself with what’s available.
More About Lord of Heroes: Runner Up
The graphics in Lord of Heroes are phenomenal and very possibly the best out of all the games we tested. They are incredible, and it almost feels as though you’re actually watching an anime TV show.
The interface of Lord of Heroes is extremely user-friendly, and if we’re being honest, it probably had the best layout and design of all the games we tested, with the biggest draw by far being the amazing graphics and animation you will find in this game.
It is also possible to recruit stronger heroes in the game, and you’ll be happy to know that by using a ‘contract,’ all you have to do is log in daily to keep them.
More About Dragon Raja: Also Groovy
Initially, we did find the controls a little difficult to use, and we had some trouble trying to move our character and navigate the world, but once we figured it out, it did get easier.
For example, when we first started playing (as we were getting used to the game), we were asked to go somewhere and couldn’t figure out how. Still, by using the ‘auto’ feature, our character automatically went to the designated area, which kept the game moving.
We thought this was fantastic, as with some games, if you get stuck, you have to spend hours trying to figure out the right way to proceed. We didn’t have that problem with Dragon Raja, which is great for the game's flow.
When playing the game, the graphics were good, but we wouldn’t say top tier. However, when the game went into the computer-simulated story, the graphics were incredible, which get you hooked on the story and the action.
This made the game stand out from others that we tested, as this was certainly something that we enjoyed.
Other Apps Considered
The storyline, graphics, and design of this game were great, and if you like strategy games, then this could be for you. However, we felt the gameplay was a little too slow, and some areas could be improved.
There were too many downloads in this game, which stopped us from truly being able to enjoy it. In the end, it used up too much data, and we started to lose interest. We also found that the actual gameplay was nothing like advertised, which left us a little disappointed.
If you’re looking for a fun, well-designed game that almost feels like an old school JRPG, then this is a great option for you. It didn’t make our top 3, but it’s still worth considering. Just be aware, you may have to invest a lot of time to see real progress with your characters.
The style and design of this game are great; however, when looking for something to follow Genshin Impact, we felt it could do more because as good as this game is, we felt a more free-flowing gaming experience would be better.
Unfortunately, this game wouldn’t work at all. It kept crashing on me the entire week of testing, and I was unable to give it an honest try. It's a shame because the reviews of the game were good, and the trailer that I did see looked fantastic. I'll have to try again in the future upon revisiting this review.
Unfortunately, this game wouldn’t work either. It continued crashing on me, and I was unable to test it. Hopefully next time it will cooperate better, but in the meantime, we think our top picks will more than satisfy your needs. Especially if you want to avoid the chance of having a disappointing run of crashes and glitches.

WriterAs a freelancer, I use all types of different apps so that I can manage my time and remain organized with ease. I’m always on the go so I love anything that can help me to stay on top of my tasks but for fun, I love playing games or watching movies.
I’m a huge sports fan so I’ll usually be checking the latest scores or following up on my teams and I also like to expand my mind with audiobooks and podcasts. Using apps allows me to get through so much more in a typical day that I simply wouldn’t be able to cover otherwise and I love it.
Being able to write about apps is pretty great as I get to research the best apps out there and find the hidden gems that people may not know about then share that information to help others discover their new favorite apps.
Introduction
Genshin Impact is no doubt a winner when it comes to gacha games. Obviously, the fun of these games is the "gacha" aspect of getting pulls for gems, weapons, and other items, and those in-app purchases can add up. We set out to test the best Genshin alternatives to see which are a good enough value to be your next game. Our pick, Dragalia Lost, is a slightly different vibe, but we feel it is worthy of the top spot for its quality and cost-effective play. Read on to find out why it comes first and who else we feel is worthy of a place in our top 3.
