    • I have lost weight with this app. I love that I can pick a diet and it tells me all of the things I need for it to go shopping. Also love that it reminds me when to eat. The app is free, but when you open it up there is an option to buy the premium addition. I would recommend buying it.

    • I’ve use this app twice before once during and after my third Pregnancy and now two years after my fourth. I love this app, it keeps track of everything. You can set alert to drink water, eat more veggies, go on a walk... etc... also keeps track of weight loss, meals, exercise. You can put pictures that motivate you. It also gives great motivational quotes so if you feel like eating something you shouldn’t or not exercising you can go on there and read them and remind you why your on this journey. It’s a great app. Helped me lose all 50 pounds last time and this is day 4 and I lost 1.4 pounds so far with gaining muscle! 😀 It’s like a personal couch for free. I use the free version but you can buy the app and get even more! 💯

    Calorie Counter - MyFitnessPal
    • This app has been what I have been lacking in my fitness journey. I’m finally able to see little differences in my body because I’m keeping to my calorie deficit. I have the app connected to Apple Health, but isn’t capable of connecting with the FitBod app which is what I use. The only thing that I’ve experienced is that frequently I will refresh the app to add in my workout and it will subtract the calories leaving me with even less for the day. Usually I will close and re-open the app but it hasn’t been working lately. I re-installed it in the hopes of it getting fixed. EDIT: Once re-installed it worked for the next couple times I opened the app but now is taking longer to actually load the exercise calories burned at all. Upon re-opening the app time and time again it still doesn’t add the calories burned from exercise. UPDATE: It appears that my “HealthKit” was turned off to sharing information and that’s why the exercise hasn’t been logging. I changed my rating to 5 stars because this app is doing exactly what it needs to.

    • I don’t normally review apps but this is one EVERYONE should definitely try. This is the first app that I’ve actually lost weight with.. it actually helps you develop better eating habits. I know that there’s a lot of hype behind My Fitness Pal, but I swear, after trying both, LIFESUM BEATS MY FITNESS PAL HANDS DOWN. Nearly everything since the app has gone through updates is perfect. The user-face is simple and easy to use, without the annoying ads other apps have. You can adjust everything to fit your personal goals, even if they go beyond what the app recommends. They even include a macro calculator that makes things easy to calculate. The grading scale is really helpful to see where you can improve. It takes everything into account, calories, macros, sugar, fiber... it’s pretty comprehensive. Also, I love that I can keep everything private, it’s not necessarily a competition against all of my Facebook friends. The graphs and diagrams make seeing long term trends quick and easy. One thing I would love to see is something that suggests meals or specific items that would meet the goals of the meal. If I have 200 calories left and haven’t met my protein, fat, or carbs goals, what can I add to my meal that fits my goals? Other than that, the developers have done an absolutely stellar job.

    Lose It! - Calorie Counter
    • My whole family is on WW so I jumped on board. However, I quickly discovered that WW does not work for people who are whole food plant based because of their ridiculous zero point food list. Almost all fruits and veggies are on it, but so are beans, which are super high in calories! Beans and legumes are one of the healthiest things we can put in our bodies. Anyway, I started assigning points (1 per 60 calories) to beans and I started losing weight. Then I realized I was PAYING WW and having to do their job for them! I did a bunch of research and found Lose It! and it has been amazing. Two months now and so easy to use! Same bar scanner and food database tools as WW, same ability to add my own recipes (a must for WFPB people), and even does a better job of tracking weight, exercise and patterns! I love this app so much. Weight loss is about calories. Period. Counting calories used to be a pain but this app makes it so easy and even fun while helping you learn how to eat healthy for a lifetime. Two big thumbs up! Why are people paying for WW?!
