It's a very good app to have as a companion or driver for my Yeelight accessories.

Really disappointed with the product. Response: Basically connection issues, the same I've read complaints about here. I tried different servers, dns ip, several devices and all I found to fix it. The product worked for like 4 months with a few connection issues until it stopped working completely for about 2 months ago. Update: it works now I hope it lasts.

It's fine as long as you disable auto updates. You'll still be signed out eventually (but way less often). Once I'm signed out I update and then sign back in. Why do you have to sign into a service you never wanted in the first place just to control a stupid led over LAN? Who the F knows.

Most of the time control center shortcut(Turn All On & Turn All Off) doesn't work. And it always show app feature page when opening the app and then automatically exit after tapping Experience Now button. I locked the app to prevent battery & ram manager to kill it and given unrestricted access to network.

Update on app and my Yeelight, since my first review, the app has had several updates and the bulb has had firmware updates. I use this light every day and have had no problems with it. For the money this is a excellent smart bulb!

If there was a possibility to give negative stars then I would have done that. I recently bought a Mi bedside lamp 2. During the installation process I realized that the App is asking permission to access my phone contacts , microphone , location, storage , camera and telephone records. Don't really understand why these things are needed. Later I found out that while installing the device sends the latitude, longitude, phone model etc to the company servers. That is a violation of my privacy.

I really wonder who is the mastermind that designed this app. Whenever there is an update, we have to sign in again in the app, otherwise we don't have access to our goddamn lights, we need to go to find the remote until we manage to log in again! And, of course, the sign in email and password don't work, you have to find the time (and the light) to restore them. Whenever this app works, there is a perceivable delay between the command you send through the app and the action happening. Yeelight state that the command doesn't go via their (recommended) server but through the home's lan but it doesn't feel so with this delay. The ceiling lights that this app controls, are excellent by the way, real eye catchers. It is a pity that they rely on such a poorly designed app.

The light has very low brightness after turned on by app. I need to reset the lamp wall switch manually to get normal brightness everytime. Move to another room and reset the connection also not affect anything. That means using automation only give a low brightess result, this is not smart bulb anymore. what a waste of money if I still have to toggle the wall switch manually

When it works properly it's fine, but often times it's so infuriating and difficult because the lightbulbs won't connect to my phone. I have to reset and reconnect them every few weeks. Terrible!

The app is overall OK, but the device share feature doesn't work. So, there is only one person can control the lights. The support team never replies to inquiries. Very poor support service.

"I have tried two other brands before trying out the Yeelight:1. Philips bulbs connect to my phone via the network but cannot link the bulbs to my philips hue account or alexa.2. Lifx app cannot even detect the bulbs on my network.3. Yeelight bulb works with both my phone and alexa."

Loving Yeelight Smart Lights! I hope they develop RGB spotlights. It's pretty easy to do for them since they just have to modify their existing designs. Just need a reflector inside and a different diffuser design.

Way to many updates recently, that don't seem to be doing anything. And when they happen you have to redo the whole process of pairing it.

Awful application. There's a terrible bug that whenever the lamp is connected and enabled, it affects my mobile's wifi, disconnecting it all the time. That's so annoying having to connect over and over again to the wifi.

Can't connect. Lightstrips work fine, followed all steps but connection times out at 100. Have tried multiple times. It says to move device closer to router but still times out when it's less than 1 metre away from my router.

App stopped working 3 months in. Extremely disappointing. Connection times out despite restarting the app and device multiple times. Lesson learned...always go for the option that sells a separate physical remote even if it costs a few extra bucks.. These newfangled apps are gonna be a pain in the behind, (excuse my foul language) with their constant updates and recurrent connectivity issues. Heck! Truly dreadful...1/10 (1 for false hope)

It's been almost 2 months and a half that I've been waiting for you to fix the connection problem. The app is no longer connecting to the bulbs and connection keeps timming out even if it gets to 100%. I tried changing the dns but it didn't connect I'm using the tunable white bulbs
