Also, separate some of the communications settings... i.e. allow voice chatting everyone/friends only/none, allow messages from everyone/friends only/none, allow party join with everyone/friends only/none, can recieve messages from everyone but can't reply until they are added as a friend, etc. Let parents be able to read inappropriate messages on the app.. The more options the better.

Great App w/ Minor Issues
This app is great for managing and moderating all of my children's game time. Rather than having to constantly watch the clock to see how long they have been playing, on top of them constantly bugging their mom and I to play, I am able to set specific times they're allowed to play and for how long. Now that the app will moderate their time for me by forcing them off after two hours, etc. I can just let them get on the Xbox whenever they want and know that they won't be on ALL day. Yep only complaint I have is that when you add extra time, it doesn't seem to add the time correctly for some reason. It seems like sometimes it doesn't add whatever time they still had left to the extra time that I added. It just simply gives them an hour etc. Otherwise, this app is amazing and my wife and I use it regularly now. -
As of lately I'm not getting all the notifications when the kids request more screen time it takes several minutes to come through when they request to purchase I never get it I have to login in to my Microsoft account to allow it and purchase it after they alter me to wanting something saying they sent me a notification that I never received.

Need
An option to cancel the added time or just an option to turn off the activity -
Very useful app... although it would be really good if you could further define the screen time limits between xbox apps (Netflix etc) and xbox games. As a family we'd probably be less strict on watching netflix (sometimes the kids just have it on as background) but this would eat into their screen time limits which we've put to minimise how much time they spend playing games...

Works perfectly. It takes 3 seconds to add time for my child. Nice to see what he is doing and even better that I have class come control. 1 hour per day. Great app if you are a parent of children. You will need to set up a primary parent account in the xbox then add child accounts and make sure the adult account is password protected. Password protect all user profiles in the xbox. Add the account to your parental account and it works perfect.

Easier to use
Makes it a lot easier to control kids settings....would be nice to be able to add or remove family members from it though. -
This app is great! You can give your kids a set schedule of when they can sign in and use their name on xbox one. I like how you can add time for rewards during their time off. I also like how you can add time before their time completely runs out. Great for when they're in the middle of a game and need just a little more time to finish their match! Highly recommend for parents who want to lock their kids out for any reason!

App is great just wish they was more options... my child has autism and can't keep out of settings and there is no way of stopping this. Along with been allowed to install cloud games when store is blocked. He also finds away around the blocked games by adding a second account on his username witch guest accounts are blocked or when Internet drops and comes back he can get on blocked games

Suspend / Pause button
I know it may not be popular but I need an effective way to get my kids attention without physically standing between them and the TV. Please add a “pause” button for us parents! Great app

Should be combined with Microsoft Family Safety
I now have two separate apps - Microsoft Family Safety and Xbox Family Settings - that I can use to manage my kids’ access to their devices. I can set app-specific limits in the former, but not the latter. Other settings are available in the latter but not the former. Why have these not been consolidated into a single app that can do everything? -
Add screen time feature needs work
As others have pointed out the mechanism to add extra screen time is not intuitive. Additionally you can’t add more time once you’ve given some extra time. For instance: I gave my son an extra hour. I’d like to add another fifteen but I can’t because he’s still got two mins let’s on the hour. Suboptimal. -
Addition needed please
Please add the ability to change whether my child needs permission to make purchases or not. This is the main thing I use and it’s basically the only family safety setting missing.. -
Not easy to use
Nice to bed able to manage things on my phone but not everything is available and kind of hard to use
