This app is the most annoying convoluted garbage. Damn near impossible to find half the settings required to change anything in the app. I have to use the Xbox web page to do anything and even then you can't find the setting you're looking for 90 percent of the time cause it's buried under 10 other options.

This is the least useful app I have ever downloaded. It promises to allow you to set screen times and age restrictions among other things. However, when you open it for the first time and log in as administrator, you are told to create additional accounts for the child/children by creating additional e-mail adresses for each child. If you do not create e-mail accounts for the child/children, the app shows you that you are the administrator and that you cannot do anything. Waste of space.

This app works about 40% of the time. The schedule does not work at all, only the total time limit per day. Even the time limit gets wonky some days. This morning the app said they had 4 full hrs left for the day, however the xbox said 0 time left.

Not impressed
The old app was better. I could add money to my sons account, limit time on specific games, and it just seemed to have a lot more options. On this app I can’t do that and the old app was completely changed so now I have to go to some website to change the time allowed on my sons games. I give him a little extra time on weekends so it’s a pain to have to go through extra steps. I’d love the old app back, or combine the two to give us parents those options again. -
Doesn't stop Xbox use once the daily limit is hit, only when the daily time range is hit. Also, says my child has used xx hours today with a breakdown that doesn't add up to the usage. How is this app supposed to be useful, when the 2 key reasons for using it do not work! Latest update now doesn't work if using a VPN.

Why do they always make things worse
Microsoft has a habit of just making things worse and worse with every iteration. Just roll this into the main freakin Xbox app as a tab you nimrods!

Whats going on with this app? It was working good for a few weeks, no I can't click on settings for my son. Ive checked for updates, changes some settings un/reinstalled the app and tried from my wife's phone..all with the same problem.

Kids time control on xbox used to be perfect. Now everytime my kids ask for more time and I give through the app they first get logged out and then have to log back in again to get the additional time. Making this feature garbage.

Make this more user friendly
This is much better than the Family Safety App (a nightmare). But I think you must have both apps if you want to manage your kids screen time. Clunky and counterintuitive. Adding screen time should be easy. It’s not. You can only add time in specific blocks. For Instance: If you want 1 hour and 15 minutes for your kid you have to select either 1 hour OR 15 minutes...then wait for your kid to shout from the basement “I thought you said 1 hour 15 minutes! My time just ended!” THEN you can add the rest of the time. Once you select a time you’re bound to it. It’s a pain and silly. This is one example of the sloppy design.

Privacy settings
I was just trying to change privacy settings on another device since I do not own a Xbox and i want to do online play so it recommend this app and it did not show me what I looking for and every time I go to the Microsoft page and click privacy and online settings it brings me to support and it only talks about changing the settings on Xbox and nothing about a Microsoft account on the Nintendo switch. -
Settings made in this app are not applicable on other devices. My young siblings can still play freely on PC, tablets and phones using their Xbox profiles. Edit: My custom settings are now applicable on Windows; However, the time limit is not functional for Windows. They can still play even when they reach the time limit. Edit 2: Time tracker does not work anymore and my siblings left the family on their own although they have child accounts. Totally useless right now.
