Its very buggy since the May 12th update. It showed on the app I was scheduled for a job. Although, I was emailed my job was canceled via the customer. So, I showed up anyways since the app still showed the job on my schedule. It was a waste of 8usd in gas RT and time. The app stopped working, and it froze on the loading screen. Then, it prompted me to create a new account when I kept trying to reset my password. A lot of bugs in the new update. This is my income for school and COL.

Terrible Custoemr Service
more lessIn an attempt to fine flexible work, I hopped onto the App Store and found Wonolo. I decided to download it since the interface looked nice and it had several high scoring reviews. Immediately after creating my profile, the app let me know they are not allowing companies in California (the state I reside in) to make job postings. Understandable, I’ll just delete/deactivate my account. Wonolo does not allow you to do so on your own— you must contact customer support, who’s only form of communication is through email. I fill out the form and await a reply. I am unable to respond until a few days later. By this point, I receive an auto response saying the ticket has been closed and I need to resubmit. Frustrating, but I create a new ticket. The following day I go to respond to the new email and it says again the ticket has been closed, even though it has been opened for less than 24 hours at this point. Again, I’m instructed to resubmit yet another request. I scour the internet in an attempt to find any other contact information, to no avail. I had no negative feelings about not being able to use the app to its fullest abilities, but this is downright ludicrous that you cannot delete your account on your own. Obviously I do not recommend this for anyone in California but beyond that, I will never recommend this to anyone for the simple fact that you cannot address concerns en vivo and the customer support is a joke.

more lessDont plan your life around this app because employers will cancel 1 hr and in my latest case, 7 minutes before the 12 hour cancel and still get half pay. Ive grabbed shifts that nobody wanted last second and obviously i wasnt on the job site, arrived 15 minutes after the start time just to get reprimanded and given a late start on my badge. Not only did that late disqualify me from the $550 bonus at the time, all my jobs that week got canceled and i ended up not working that week đź« . Its real funny how a job will get cancelled and then reposted for a shift no one wants to work; overnight or 10 hours (usually both). Whats the point of grabbing multiple different jobs ahead of time if every single one of them gets canceled literally right before the 12 hour mark. Literally went to sleep and woke up just to find out i wasnt going to work that day? Other apps at least give you a 24 hour window. In my honest only use this app if your desperate and even then dont put all your eggs in one basket. Also its been taking longer and longer to get paid and its no wonder clienta are dropping them and using other apps to fill their work quotas. Support for this app is non existent, phone doesnt work and never get a reply from the messaging system. Wish i never used this app and i wont be using it going further đź‘Ž

I wish there was an immediate address shown of where the job is actually located.to show distance from your location. As a new user I'm afraid of clicking on the "onboard to accept job" button (unsure if this is where you find the job address) and have to commit to a certain job then kicked off the platform because you clicked on that button and only wanted to see an address and not actually "commit". Great idea for an app but poor execution.

Dishonest & Grossly Irresponsible
more lessWonolo takes advantage of hard working people trying to get by. I smell a class action lawsuit very soon. A company without integrity, Wonolo will make a statement in their App store description, say something different within the app itself, and then actually do something inconsistent with either. For example: “Get Paid 1-3 days after completing a job”, becomes “Get paid 3-5 days after completing a job”, which in reality is: get paid whenever we feel like paying you, which can take a week or more. Another example: “Our people’s health and safety are important to us. During the COVID-19 outbreak- if you feel sick or have been in close contact with someone sick you can withdraw from a job within 12 hrs of start time without any penalties”- in reality- you follow their recommendations, yet they penalize you for doing so. Another example: “After a job is complete, if a requestor wants to change the Wonoloer’s agreed upon hours, this MUST be approved by the Wonoloer before any adjustments are made” - in reality- they will adjust your hours without your knowledge and pay you accordingly- regardless of how long you actually worked. I could go on and on, but my point is that Wonolo is greedy, dishonest and irresponsible & they need to be held accountable.

more lessWhen I pulled up the app said I wasn’t at the location so it would allow me to use the clock-in pin, so someone clocked me in. at the end of my shift it did same thing wouldn’t allow me to clock out. so someone had to take extra steps to make sure my shift closed out

No work in Cali per App
more lessI normally would have just deleted the app and moved on. I’m leaving this review because I don’t think it’s right that this company has you fully sign up for work then tells you that there is no work in California per AB5. Suggestion… Have potential workers type in their ZIP Code at the beginning and give the disclaimer if you aren’t supporting that State so that time is not wasted on either end.

Be Advised: The Pay is Inconsistent
more lessThere is no set day when you will get paid. It doesn’t matter how many times you go to a job site, it doesn’t matter how long of a shift you do, it doesn’t matter if you complain to customer service. Your pay will always be inconsistent. Doing this DOES NOT replace the dependability of having a traditional job. This is literally something you do in between jobs or if you just want money on the side that you don’t actually need. Having any kind of delusional that you will get paid consistently will have your bills late, your car out of gas, and you will be hungry. This is strictly a side gig. THIS IS NOT TO BE USED IN PLACE OF TRADITIONAL EMPLOYMENT. You have been warned.

more lesscan someone please make it so i can add washington dc when signing up. i don’t live in a state. i live in washington dc. there is no state that i can put on the sign up and it wont let me sign up. dont feel bad though, plenty of applications and job applications leave off washington dc for some reason and we be unable to able for certain things.

UPDATED: I gave a 2 star from a 1 star because support is really good. i wish i could give it more but the app has been useless, most links on the main page are broken and pull an error message, especially irritating because i can't select the types of jobs I'm looking for, and the jobs i can see are either expired or have less than 12 hours online. i had one pop up with an hour before start, would have taken it if i had enough time to get there. great concept and i hope it gets working right

Pick up shifts through the app only to be cancelled shortly after which then results with you being a no call no show! Purpose of the app was to get shifts easily without having to deal with the coordinators! What a joke!! Update: 1/29/19 Went to login and I get a "Oops login failed" notification telling me that my account exists already and if I keep having problems to contact the support services. Opened an account using a different email address and the same thing. This app has many bugs!!

This app was a crafty idea, and comes in handy for those who are in need of a second source of income. However, in some cases, once you've accepted a job and are scheduled to work on a particular day, it randomly cancels your acceptance. Then it will repost the job all over again in just minutes after cancelling your acceptance, not allowing you to reapply for the position again. I'm not sure why it does that, but it's very inconvenient for ones who truly need the work.

the concept is perfect. my problem is that I'm between the cities of Arlington,tx and dallas,tx. even though I'm in this large area with plenty of jobs I get a notification maybe once a day. and all of the jobs that are posted have already passed. I know you have to do a few jobs to get access to more, but with the options being so low the app really won't benefit me. I'm trying to fit this app in around my fulltime job. cant do that with one option once a day that doesn't work time wise.

Have started to not see jobs that are seen by other people's apps. Have absolutely NO jobs in the surrounding area or really anywhere in most of the state for that matter. The ONLY job around requires a "deeper" background check which if you do not pass that, which would be the second background check on Wonolo, you will lose access to the app altogether which is complete bs. However doesnt really matter since there are no more jobs available for me personally, its absolutely ridiculous.
