  • “It’s educational!” Aug 31, 2019

    By Avid film viewer
I love programming games in general, but this one adds something special. I bought this thinking it would be like the rest, where you have a goal each level which you would solve with an ever expanding set of available commands. This game is that, but more. I love that when a new concept is added, you are given the context of that concept originating in the history of machine learning. I really appreciate the links to articles and videos relating to those real world concepts. I really feel like I’m learning a lot playing this game!

I've been playing lots of programming games lately (human resource machine, Zachtronics stuff) - and this game has history and knowledge of ML, but it's a sorting game. That's it. Sort, sort, sort, credits. There's other aspects that just aren't fun: * "evolve" parts just take up time and could just be sped up and or skipped. * Startup stages just immediately fail after the 4th startup, and you just lose money. No real lesson to why I failed, AND I have less money now. * 3x speed is still slow.

  • Great puzzle game! Nov 15, 2019

    By thejesterbot
As a programmer/developer I was curious about this sure, but it approaches the puzzles in a very non-programmer, easy to consume way, that I believe would appeal to a wide audience. It’s basically teaching computing concepts in a way that could have mass appeal! The cat theme and most of the fluff material in the game is completely forgettable, but the instructions are pretty helpful, as are the random history bits they throw in about the real world. Overall, thumbs way up on this!

I love this game so much from the theming to the puzzling gameplay. It's explained simply but never actually holds your hand. Great game for people with spare time and brain cells.

  • Amazing game, deleted save after Halloween patch Nov 20, 2019

    By Bilogik
Would be 5 star, if not for the fact that you completely erased all my saves with your new update. Have to start all over again.. once, and if I muster the strength to get my progress back, I’ll update to 5 starts again. For now, suffer alongside with me. UPDATE: finally got to where I was before. Here are your well deserved five stars.

  • Keeps blacking screen, can’t continue unless I hard restart Sep 10, 2019

    By Kula706
I am always working so hard at creating a good scheme and then the entire working area goes black and freezes. I have to hard restart each time to get the app back, and all of my progress is gone. This is quite annoying and needs to be fixed.

If I had one complaint it would be that can't run this game in portrait mode, which isn't even a big deal. Otherwise, it is absolutely perfect.

I really loved this game on PC. But on mobile the interface is a little lacking. It is hard sometimes to copy and paste nodes. And I can't find a way to copy and paste things.

  • Good game with a few UI issues. Aug 24, 2019

    By Anon grumps
This is a cute and fun basic sorting based game, great for kids to learn the basics of statistics and programming, but it’s UI could definitely do with some work. Copy /paste is always being triggered during drag/navigation which is super annoying, it would be better if this required a additional action or used an actual friendly button. It’s very hard to see which wire goes to which node port a lot of the time because the wires connect mid way through the little port arrows rather than at the edge of the node, this could also be improved by using a nice curved line from the connections or even just a straight line out then a wire between. Wiring connections is fiddly and could be improved with clearer hit zones and animations on the UI elements.

  • Fun game for coders (has many typos) Aug 26, 2019

    By Joejoe32
I’m a programmer and I am enjoying this game. I’m learning a bit about machine learning (something I wanted to do anyway). The game does have a bunch of careless typos and spelling errors in the story part, but it doesn’t get in the way. I can’t figure out the difference between the StartUp daily graph colors (yellow vs orange??). The game could use a FAQ section. Would recommend the game to other coders.

  • Just getting started Aug 23, 2019

    By mcarthey
Just picked up the game so I’ll update my review as I play more but my first impression is it’s well made with a nice story. The issue I have immediately is the size of the text. Wow! It is so tiny I can barely read it on an iPhone X. Can that be modified somehow?

  • Needs to stop vibrating and pasting accidentally Aug 23, 2019

    By moshimochi
Keeps vibrating. No optionality to change this. Keeps pasting nodes. Seems to be too easy to trigger what you don’t mean to do. Please fix these two things.

  • Evolve button not working on ios Aug 24, 2019

    By xocoMom
I'm playing on an iPhone xs max. The Evolve button on the Genetic Solver doesn't work. I tried a long press as well but then it triggers the copy/paste function. So I'm at a standstill because I can't "evolve.". Fix this and I'll give it one more star.

  • Everything so tiny Aug 31, 2019

    By shartypants
Neat idea but everything is so small on my phone. Also, for me personally I don’t like all the pages and pages of words, I skip them all without reading them, I’m just interested in solving puzzles.
