I've had issues with Waze in the past but now it's just completely not working. When I open it, there's a message that says 'just a sec'. It never goes away. I thought it was my phone but I see it's not. Get it together Waze! I used to love and spend on this app. Back to Google Maps. Update: I've contacted Waze and they are no help. Guess I'll give up on this app and try another. Google Maps will have to do for now. Very disappointed.

Zooming in on the map just totally distracts your attention as it zooms into what appears to be a random 5ft x 5ft blank spot on the map. Unusable for live navigating already confusing traffic patterns. Not adjusting my device for this poor quality. No photo view option? By default puts your user account info on the map itself (other waze users) and you have to manually turn it off. Looks like a cartoon. Now I remember why I never used this.

The latest update is horrible. Wazw now has GIANT ads popping up ALL THE TIME covering the screen completely. Massive buttons and search field on the bottom of the screen. Not only that, since the latest update, it's constantly searching for gps. Google maps doesn't, neither do two others I've tried. Just waze. And, if you miss a turn because waze was late telling you to turn, it screams constantly make a u turn make a u turn. Please keep your canned response to yourself waze. Horrible app.

Loved it for a long time and used it over Gmaps. For the past year it's been nothing but buggy. Crashes whenever you swap apps, or if you turn the screen off. You have to keep checking that it's still running, only to be disappointed and have to restart the route. Sometimes when paried with Android auto it bugs out and gives you directions from the ocean. I tried a few troubleshooting steps such as clearing the cache, app data, and uninstall/reinstall but it still has the same issues.

Great app with one EXTREMELY ANNOYING problem. The app completely shuts off after a few minutes if you turn your phone screen off. It happens every single time I use the app. The only way you can use this app is if you have your phone screen on the entire drive. So, if you start navigation, and turn your screen off, you'd think it would continue providing directions but the app shuts down if your phone screen turns off. It's very helpful. What isn't helpful is that I recently upgraded my phone and my previous Waze account didn't have an email associated with it. They stopped that 2 years ago but I had no idea. Now I have lost all my saved places and progress. Even if there was a way to somehow save that information, it's too late now. Despite my issues, it is a very good GPS.

The arrival minutes to the location display is so small you can barely see it, but the time clock is 5x bigger?! I have a watch on my car, my hand my phone, didn't download this app for time telling purposes... Also the routes are not the best option available anymore

Waze has been my preferred navigation app for several years now. I just got a new phone and I cannot get Waze to work. When I start the app, I get the button that says, "Just a sec ..." and then it just hangs. I've tried re-installing the app, restarting my phone, changing my battery optimizations, clearing the cache and the data. Nothing helps. Waze will simply not work on my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S22+). Very disappointing.

Saved my a$$ a few times. Would like to see information that destination is coming up on the left or right. Also, a few more seconds is needed to answer There or Not There. Need to fix the sort alphabetically on saved places. Too many ads. I understand you need to make money but I would and I'm sure others would pay for an ad-free version.

Good at knowing where traffic is AWFUL at getting around it
more lessYou wanna know where traffic is jammed? This app is wonderful for that. Want a route around? Avoid Waze. This app is useful for for ETA’s if you sync with your calendar, and to show you where traffic jams are. However, expect it to always take you through traffic jams. The most use I’ve gotten out of this app this app during traffic hours (aka the time you would most want to use this app) is zooming out to see the full map and then seeing myself how to get around the jam. Without fail, if I’m trying to get home from work, Waze will want me to take a Street that I know for a fact will be jammed. I decided to follow the directions twice thinking maybe Waze was smart than I am and knew something I didn’t. Both times I was backed up a solid mile before where Waze thought the real jam started it. And I’m talking I was in bumper to bumper traffic waiting for the light to turn 3 times before I got past a single block. Despite this, Waze insists this is the fastest route — it’s not. Waze also becomes unresponsive to traffic reports during peak hours it seems. You could report bumper to bumper traffic in a downtown street and Waze will only mark the small section where you are even if the jam stretches 10 minutes in front of you. You would think it would gather that you’re in a bad jam and find a different route, but it doesn’t. Your best bet is to zoom out the map, and try to find a better way yourself.

For an app that's been out this long, there are some truly embarrassing issues. You can't preview voice options, navigating by voice only is risky and will cause you to miss turns because it announces too late, when searching for addresses there's no zip code in the results, so if there are multiple results with similar names, have fun figuring out which one is your destination. So many minor issues that literally don't have to exist 🤦🏿♂️. Always a frustrating experience using this app.

Dangerous for me to use. When this app first came out it was great, but then they started using intrusive ads that are very distracting and also covers the entire map on the screen and you have to swipe to remove it when you are stopped at a red light. I ended up having to park at a grocery store and switch to Google maps since Waze is no longer safe for me to use
