This is good so far. It is a battery drainer on my iPhone X and the phone is gets hot as a result. Gameplay feels standard for this type of game. I need to point out that you’ll come across the odd level that feels much much harder than than it should be. I suspect the game is trying to push you into buying stuff to level up and leveling up is a chore. I really am stating to get freemium fatigue. I don’t think this game is heavy on it but it’s still there and on the whole it’s balanced well enough for being a free game with the normal throw away purchases.

Crashed twice. Works fine at the lowest graphics quality. Enemy AI units are able to stack on top of one another in one square. Which makes gameplay feel cheap, at times. Using a laptop, the dragging of the summon marker can be aggravating, as well as dragging to equip items or move your view of the board (the game is prone to zooming in all the way at random). I enjoy the concept, and the gameplay is original, with the combat AI being pretty clever. It still has a way to go.

The most major issue I experience with the game is a bug in which one of my characters begins a movement action but then doesn’t complete it. They move maybe a square without showing any loss in action points but then they stop and become unsellectable. When this happens, the end turn and menu buttons also don’t seem to work, leaving me with only the option of restarting my phone and doing the mission from the beginning again. This has been especially bad today (this motivating this feedback) and I restarted my phone 5 times before giving up on a mission (at least for now). When the game doesn’t force me to restart my phone to continue, it is quite enjoyable and I wish there was level appropriate content to play after I finish my daily missions. Since the main campus is above my units’ power level, I’m left with nothing to do in the game till the next day when I finish my daily missions. I hope the developers work out the bug I’m experiencing and wish them good luck with continuing the development of the game.

  • Perchang captures the magic of the best iOS game ever Sep 8, 2020

    By TheSquidKing
The original Warhammer Quest mobile game is, to this date, easily my favorite iOS game of all time. It perfectly captured both the feeling and the style of the board game while being simple and enjoyable enough to work well on a touch screen. Perchang seems to be what came of the developer of that game, Rodeo. Perchang’s first venture, Warhammer Quest II, was fine enough, but kind of cumbersome. It really lost the magic and feeling of the original game. This version seems to almost entirely recapture things. We’re missing the map, and we have a new system of micro-transactions (or macro if you’re a whale, I guess), but those actually line up pretty well with the Silver Tower board game. To be frank, this game is basically exactly what I wanted from them. It needs to be a little easier to collect characters and gear, and we probably need some more enemy variety, but otherwise, I’m loving all of it.

A really well put together game but the progress is far too slow to be engaging. Basically the first day you'll get 3 heroes, the progress is tediously slow so it never feels life any progress is worth it, secondly don't expect to get another hero to try in the first week, there may be loads but never seen them. Together the two problems compound because when you finally do get a new character they are too far behind to practically use anyway.

  • Buggy and boring Sep 9, 2020

Was really excited when I saw this, and at first I thought it was awesome. Nice art, music, sound, and overall production. But then as I got into playing, I realized how poorly done the game is. Dungeons are all basically the same - a short linear path with a few obstacles and a few enemies. Only goals being to either kill all the enemies or kill some and get to the escape zone. Very minor rewards. Nothing to pick up or loot in the dungeon. Champions have one attack and one skill they can use every couple turns, and enemy AI seems pretty stupid (even bizarre/random at times, as sometimes the enemies will just move away to some random spot before moving back the next turn to attack), thus involving little real strategy. So gameplay quickly gets repetitive and dull. And on top of that, there's a major bug that prevents progression, in which upon ordering a champion to move, he starts the move but doesn't complete and gets stuck, forcing you to quit the game and start the level over. It happens randomly but often enough to be a real problem. Unbelievable that the game was released with such a major bug.

This game has so much potential to be great. But it is super unimaginative, repetitive and boring. The campaign also has no story. I've given up after my second summon was identical to a previous character only with a higher level cap It needs some ability choices, level trees and weapon/equipment choices. Also the AI needs a big overhall. I'm also surprised there is no PVP. Seems like a big opportunity wasted. Big disappointment from a warhammer game

It’s a pretty basic dungeon crawl; each “quest” is one room with some enemies. If you like Warhammer as much as I do you might get some satisfaction out of it! HOWEVER, to get heroes, you need summoning stones. A summon uses up to 250 stones and they are very dear; you get some for leveling up sometimes, but the only other way is to buy them. 40 stones are a buck and it’s 250 to summon non-trash heroes, so you’re looking at about six bucks per spin. Worse, even after getting enough stones to summon a hero (every few days if you really grind) there’s nothing preventing getting duplicates. So far I’ve gotten six heroes but three have been duplicates, and I had to REALLY work to get those stones. Putting in all that grind to get a spin and getting a duplicate feels real bad. It’s an okay game, but it’s real greedy with the heroes, and heroes are kind of what it’s all about.

Although the game design is thought out, there are three HUGE issues. 1. There is NO description of what character types are available and what the rates of obtaining those characters are during the champion summon. The same characters are in the normal summon and epic summon, the difference is the star rarity which determines maximum level. You will want 5-stars to have a sporting chance at the higher levels. It takes about a MONTH to save up enough premium currency for one epic summon for a slim rate to get that 5-star. 2. It is nauseating the amount of ads. After beating each mission (takes about a few minutes) you get a chest. Getting a second chest requires watching an ad for 30 seconds. You will want to do this at boss battles to get a chance for better loot, but also for every other chest because leveling characters is a grind. And good luck getting tokens to advance them beyond level 10. 3. The game FREEZES A LOT after using special skills. There is one character either a teleport: game becomes unplayable after using it. One enemy I defeated left behind some lightning. Game froze after. This is ridiculous that they released what amounts to an ALPHA VERSION. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY

Super early review, but I’m very excited for this title. So far, it seems pretty streamlined (and the previous two iterations were no slouches either). I’ve been waiting for this for a long time. The classes seem pretty well thought out, and the graphics and audio are still on par with the excellence I expect. That being said, I’m hitting a bug where it’s not actually displaying my rewards post-quest, they’re just showing blank. I’m also trying to watch the videos for extra rewards, but the link doesn’t actually do anything.

I never really liked that there is chat features on all the other war hammer games but this one allows strategy with solo playing. there are easily multiple ways to defeat each level and although I haven't gotten very far yet I have already sank 3 hours into it. I must have for those who like Warhammer and like the basic strategy fighting games.

While not the most complex turn based strategy game available, Silver Tower offers a robust experience for zero investment. Fans of the board game will find a lot to like here, if on a simpler level. More importantly, however, is the respect given by Perchang to its players. I had a problem with one aspect, and offered feedback on it. Within a day the developer messaged me that the issue had been fixed. Couldn’t be happier!

Fairly new to the game. Turn based RPG. Only have two characters so far and still trying to get gems to add my 3rd character (I have enough for the lower tier pull but not enough for the higher tier yet - they use the same gems). That is a bit slow. Am getting gold, equipment and xp along the way which is working well. Make sure to focus on the quest goals. Many times you don’t need to kill all the mobs.

Pretty fun so far, love the fact you don't have to spend money to advance like most games. Only think I'd like to see is a way to get rid if champions you don't want otherwise you run out of space quick and I'd love to see cosmetic upgrades come up more often and be featured in the store

The game is actually pretty fun. Cool character with abilities that require good timing and strategy. A good use of an awesome IP. The only thing is the all too common problem with games at the playstore, the further you go the tougher the enemies (higher stats than your champions') the same enemies just tougher....so it is fun up until the part where the challenge becomes unfair, and one is forced to grind through earlier easier quests, or pay money to empower your champions artificially.

This game has potential, as of right now it’s a solid game with quick missions and plenty to do, the champion roster is lacking but it just came out. My main concern is characters could use another skill or two and the ability to upgrade them to higher rarities, having only one ability is kinda lackluster.

I've had no crashes yet. Game looks and sounds great. Challenging but fair. Just knocking a star off because there isn't a lot of content just yet, but that is to be somewhat expected. I'll add a star of it feels like this won't end up being an abandoned game.

  • Potential, but killer bug exists Sep 13, 2020

    By TritonicIII
As mentioned in a few other reviews, but as of yet STILL unremedied, this game with high potential (I feel iOS is missing a really good turn based genre) this bug occurs that stops your heroes movement, freezes it, and requires a restart of the game, sometimes losing the progression of the whole quest. This is a big deal, developers. I’m done playing until this is fixed, nor will you get another dime from me.

    By Lurching Dead
Love the game. It was fine until you get to the higher missions- you pretty much get one-shotted by everything even if you buy the epic packs. The funny thing is that my highest hero is 49 power, but he’s getting one-shotted by enemies more than 20 levels lower than him. No real way to grind xp to keep leveling your heroes. Also, the epic hero randomization is terrible. I purchased three of them and received two Stormcast (already start with one) and another chaos archer (already start with one of them, too). The game needs some serious rebalancing issues.

The developers of this game clearly thought they developed the perfect level in the first one they made because they didn’t bother to make more. Each level and mode has no change to it defeat a hand full of creatures or just run to the escape tiles no strategy at all to the game. You don’t pick up loot or follow any kind of a story. You just get chest with 10 coins that’ll buy you nothing. I honestly don’t know where anyone would get any enjoyment or entertainment playing this game it was just have done with the hope that they could grab money from people before they realized that they’re playing the same level again. Don’t waste your time...

It's nothing like Warhammer Quest. It's a lame, dumbed-down, pointless, waste of your time. All that was good about the table-top game is missing and there's no fixing it. Just move along... P.S. the developer deleted my one word review so I had to try a little harder and I'll do it as many times as it takes.

No reward for killing monster, all the levels are pretty much the same kill for enemies or get to the exit. there is a limited amount of daily missions to do to level up your characters and the hard daily missions often scale to far above your level and you won’t be able to match the dps checks. and it’s definitely looking like you have to pay to progress. And how about an iap to get the additional rewards without adds if that’s how you are going to limit progress
