  • Amazing Game Jun 8, 2018

This is one of my favorite games of all time and unlike most mobile ports this is just as good as the console and PC versions. (Though it’s missing the level editor.) This game was difficult at first but I’ve beaten it a few times now so even things like Edge Games and Doing Things The Hard Way don’t give me too much trouble. Anyone who enjoys difficulty, which I do, will most likely have a blast with this game. The level design is great, the music is great, getting all the trinkets is fun, and it’s overall just an amazing game. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely the best game I've played all year. It's like best elements of 8-bit micro games yet it still offers something new. Once the main game is complete you have the fiendishly difficult user levels to play meaning this game gives you a lot of playing time. Please make more.

I love this game, but ever since I updated to iOS 11 the left direction sticks and my character moves on its own. Any fix?? I’ve tried changing control type and restarting the app but didn’t work.

Dude, the fact that i beat this in a day kind of proves the game is easy. But it still kills time and that makes it a good thing to have on your mobile device. You can play it again and again and player levels are a blast! I truly reccomend this game!

Other than a steep learning curve for the touch controls, the game is exactly what I remember and loved about the PC version. Thanks for an awesome, non-cash-grab game! 😃

I absolutely love this game... But it is completely unplayable on my Samsung S20. The resolution makes it sit off center and half of the game is off screen. If this gets fixed, I will definitely purchase it again.

Let me switch of the sound! Unbearable, switched off after 30sec (and looking through all menus for the sound toggle)

I'm sure this game would be really fun to play on a system with a real controller, because swiping to move left and right is by far the worst control mechanic I have ever heard of in a phone game. I regret paying for this.
  • Fun game but sound is a dealbreaker Jul 7, 2017

The fact that you can't turn down the music in the game kills this game for me. I want to be able to listen to music or a podcast when I play and I can't.

would be an easy 5 star if the music could be muted. beautiful game, but its impossible to overstate how annoying the short soundtrack gets on its unstoppable loop.

  • Challenging and very entertaining Feb 10, 2019

This is one of my favorite games available on iOS. The soundtrack is catchy and immersive and a great complement to the challenging gameplay. VVVVVV is very difficult but it’s replay-ability is high because it is so driven by the core mechanic of the game. I recommend this to anyone who loves challenging platformers.

Personally, I spent 4h 45m with the game practically in a single sitting. It drew me in and kept my attention extremely well. That said, the game wasn't great for my sanity. Some of the rooms are designed in such a way that after solving them, you'll know you hate yourself for putting yourself through some torture for a shiny that seems to only unlock chip tunes. If V stands for death, the title of this game would be die die die die die die. The game claims I died 2600 times in 4.75 hours. The title of the game is a representation of the games worst enemy, the spikes, and also represents the manner in which you traverse the levels: Down up down up down up. I'd recommend the game if you like platformers and puzzles and you hate yourself. I couldn't put it down, but a significant portion of the game was frustration with only a short lived payoff of satisfaction.

A decent mobile port of a great game. Honestly not really fit for mobile though, definitely better to play with physical controls.

Great game, unfortunately not optimized for screens wider than 16:9. The graphics look very blurry and you can't open the map or settings.
