  • Great at first Feb 12, 2020

When I had my Samsung phone this app worked wonderfully. It gave accurate and fast feedback for just one minutes worth of audio. Now, on my iPhone, all that happens after I record a sample is a message that says the app needs a better/longer sample. I’ve tried several times and the same message always appears.

I am going to try to log the min pitch feature weekly to gauge as a comparative marker for tracking relative testosterone level changes over time while experimenting with various input factors (supps, diet, weights). I just installed this and did a preliminary test with a few pitch drops, and I was happy to note that the results for min pitch avg seem fairly consistent.

  • Very basic but helpful for me Feb 3, 2018

I'm trying to inch my natural speaking pitch down past the androgynous range where it's always been. This is the best app I've found so far. No bells and whistles, just a straight pitch analyzer. It could do with a few more features, maybe options to keep track of previous measurements and some analytics as to how your voice has changed over time. Overall though it's just what I want.

I Love this app. Wish there was an updated version that had record and play back. I would pay for that. It would really be helpful if the pitch over time graph, was more like an EKG, therefore it would be more real time.

Does exactly one thing, and does it well. I find it stable, easy, and consistent. If you want to work on your voice, you might want more features, but then you should be paying for a different app. As of this writing, this app has no ads, no in-app purchases, it’s just simple free.

I spoke in the same voice into 4 different apps. 3 pitched my voice as maintaining an average of around 170, close to 260 at peaks and around 120 at troughs. This one said I was hovering around 130. I highly doubt the others were wrong. It's been a while since I was in choir, but I definitely know I didn't hit a G2# at any point in that.

  • Won’t capture recording anymore Mar 18, 2020

    By Deliasmommy
The past several times I’ve tried to record myself, I receive an error that says there was not an adequate sample obtained, after I push record and read the entire passage. I could previously use the app with no problem. Additionally, I wish the app stored recordings, with dates, and also tracked the voice range over time. I’m having to do all this with other apps, and on spreadsheets, and it’s frustrating to not be able to do it in one place.

Idk seems decent I guess but I tried going the lowest I could and it went up and then I went high and it went to androgynous and male so I don't think it's too reliable to be completely honest. Though I do have an androgynous voice it just kept fluctuating without me even changing pitch of my voice. The graph over time also just seems too wonky tbh.

  • This App only gives you 3 possibilities. Jul 28, 2018

This app only tells you to read a long essay. Then when you hit the stop button, you’ll see 3 words: male, female, or androgynous. If you decide to read in a deep voice, it will highlight (male). If you decide to read in a high pitch voice, it will highlight (female). If your decide to read the long essay in between high and low, it will highlight (androgynous). THATS IT! That’s all you just wasted your time on.

  • used to work fine Jan 2, 2020

Ive has this app for about a year and 4 months, using it to record my voice changes while transitioning from female to male. It used to work fine and would allow me to see the exact point in which my voice went from sounding female to sounding male but now when I hit record and talk, no matter how long I talk it says there was not enough audio recorded.

I'm currently trying to feminize my voice and the point that it shows ur progress, provides a story, and saves past readings is quite helpful for me. For MtFs or for VAs id strongly recommend it^^

Great aid for voice training! Had a friend introduced me to this app. I am very glad to have been introduced to it 😁

Good app! I only started using it recently, but I think it'll be a great help in tracking my progress. Only one thing I wish was different - there's no way to delete your recordings. I accidentally recorded a couple audios that had a way higher pitch than my normal speaking voice, and now my average level is definitively feminine, instead of androgynous like it would be with just the recordings I intended to make. If there was a way to delete recordings, I would definitely rate five stars!

As a post-op transgender woman, I find this app to be such an important tool for my transition journey, I certainly value it very much, as voice is so important to me. The only negative thing being that it does not appear to make an audio recording for playback along with the analysis. Thus would be so useful, I just hope there will soon be an update with this feature. Pippa Jones , Wimborne Minster, UK.

Simple and nice. If the app had options to remove an entry (I accidentally saved an empty one) and to zoom in (I tried it once half a year ago and now it's hard to see my progress during the past couple of weeks because most of the space is taken by that empty 6 months in between) I would give 5 stars. Please fix! :)

I really like how this is not one of the estimated 90% of apps that use ad enforcement when you use it, also it does what it claims to do. Although I suggest a function to replay my recordings, but more importantly, how old I sound as a male or female. While growing up it got alot easier to change my voice naturally, so the chart went very upwards on my high notes and within "male" in my lowest notes. Although I am a 22 year old male, I can make myself sound alot younger or like a female.

I’d really like if I could see all of my past readings, and to not have to do a reading to see them. When I want to show my friends my vocal progress, I don’t want to have to sit there and read for a minute before they can see it, and I want to see all of them that I’ve done, not just the current and 1 previous

  • Wish for Other Platform Version Feb 28, 2018

    By Arts Nerd76
When I first found out about this app, I was hoping it would have the tools and tracking that is featured on the other platforms that this app is available. While it is still nice to have, the app doesn’t have as much functional use for me.

  • Helpful to a point, but inaccurate Nov 28, 2018

I've no doubt that this is useful to people with more normal voices, but for some reason my very deep bass voice is categorized as a woman's. It makes me wonder how accurate this whole thing is, that a guy who sounds a Johnny Cash record slowed down is apparently a normal-voiced woman.

The version in the google play store goes into more depth, saves previous recordings data, and some other stuff that this one doesn't do.

Heard about this via the NATS voice conference. Downloaded it thinking it would help me find my average speaking pitch. The recording process to analyze my input is super slow, I terms of text scrolling. The results are not explained at all and there is no further info or interpretation. More follow-through, please.

  • Doesn't work Feb 24, 2018

    By GailenNico
I'm a man and when I used my normal voice the bar was lower in the male zone, but when I tried again with a deeper voice, it went higher into the female zone. Also it isn't the most helpful app, because there's no explanation of the graph. Doesn't tell you why your bar is big or small or why it's placed where it is on the graph.
