I still use poshmark more because there is no easy way for me to look at ONLY who liked my items, only in notifications which is messy. I don’t like my likes being mixed with notifications about the people I follow’s uploads. I have to scroll through forever to check all the interested people in my stuff so I can message them offers. There should be a way to see who likes your listing from within the listing, like on poshmark or on Facebook or instagram (when someone likes your pictures or comments it shows their name under that picture) that would be extremely helpful. Or a way to organize notifications so you can only see notification related to your own closet. App would also make me switch from poshmark if there was a way to filter while shopping for listings that have “swap” in them. Like if I wanted to look for items that people have checked off “swap this item” there should be a search parameter for that, so I can find items that are definitely swappable and not have to awkwardly ask people if they would swap. Other than that the app is excellent and if it weren’t for those things I’d be using it over poshmark but right now poshmark makes it easier to sell to specific people because I can SEE who liked my listing from within the listing.

Very easy app, I appreciate the frontend it's really crisp and good looking. I haven't experienced any bugs. I used it solely on the phone and it was running smoothly. I sold only one item. It's not much but it's a honest work.

I love Vinted more than any other method of selling online. They make it so easy to sell and ship. And all the users I’ve worked with are so friendly. But lately there has been an issue with 7 out of 10 of my transactions, both on the buying and selling side. Things like, the buyer received their package physically but Vinted says I never shipped it. So it auto-refunds the buyer even if they contact Vinted to try and reverse the refund. Or there are such lags in the USPS integration that it causes auto-refund, or at a minimum, confusion between buyer and seller. No matter how many times we contact the support team, we are told the same thing over and over. That we should either create a fake listing and try again (which would make the buyer pay for shipping twice and also the minimum listing is $1) or pay using another app/service like Venmo or PayPal. As a person that works in the supply chain technology industry I can say this is getting ridiculous for the integrations and error handling to be so poor. And they don’t have a way to handle it manually or reverse canceled transactions? Or just don’t want to? Makes zero sense. What if the person I was selling to wasn’t a kind person and just decided to never pay me on PayPal or something? There would be nothing I could do according to Vinted. Truly wild.

Yes , where to start ... since I have just started selling for about a year now on other sites ; I can compare Vinted to this site too . I expect to see more traffic on vinted soon in to the future . I sell on this site . Not as often as other sites , but I have had the nicest experiences selling here on vinted !, the people are nice ! Vinted cares that you connect with your buyers and let them know that you appreciate their business. It’s important to do that . I’ve had returning buyers come back to my humble belt closet to purchase more belts ! I love connecting with real people that live in places that I have only dreamt of visiting like Puerto Rico !, they are so nice ! I don’t use social media . It just never was my thing . I just work hard to put together the nicest selection that I can of mostly belts . As a seller , I’m not selling really expensive items so I really appreciate that this site is free .. I get charged 20% on posh and 10 % on Mercari . The shipping is a much better price here on vinted too (-; LOVE this site ,,, traffic is going to increase because it is just so positive here for us hard working sellers and “ love to shop and find cool stuff “ buyers !

So i downloaded 2 apps at the same time to sell some of my clothes that still had a lot of life let in them. And to my surprise Vinted came out the winner compared to Poshmark. So a few things that made vinted easy to use are. 1. You get to keep a 100% of your earnings so, even if you are putting up things that are $5, you get to keep the $5. Unlike poshmark where you get $2’s back from your sale. 2. Putting up the item for sale and contacting the buyer is also very easy. If anyone likes your item, you can message them to start a conversation. Describe the item, give measurements, give the buyer a private discount if you want. You can also meet up with someone in your area to buy/sell the item( but i have never done that..so not sure how safe that is). 3. You don't constantly have to check the app to promote your clothes. However Vinted will charge a small fee to show your item more often or something. But i don't mind that, because if you don't want to you don't have to. With poshmark you have to share your items all the time, get likes so someone might be interested in your items. 4. You can review someone as a buyer and seller. Instead of just the buyer giving you a review like in poshmark. You can choose not to sell to someone with bad reviews or buy from someone with bad reviews as well. So overall its a good app...but i have noticed that with less use you do get less interested buyer, compared to when you are super active on the app.

  • I don’t recommend Feb 9, 2020

    By Why not do this
There are several apps like this and I use two others besides Vinted. Vinted makes the purchaser pay a buyer protection fee. I have recently found out this fee is a scam and offers the buyer no protection. Buy from this app at your own risk. My package was damaged in transit. The tracking update had listed visible damage from two different post offices. I didn’t think anything about it, I had recently received some packages that did have damage but the contents was fine. Not this time. This time I received a label in a USPS envelope and no package. This was not my fault or the seller’s but we were both out. Vinted informed me the buyer protection fee is in case of a lost package and since my tracking showed it was delivered, it didn’t count as lost. It didn’t matter that only the label was delivered, I was told to check with neighbors to make sure they didn’t receive it. If only I had the time to check with the million of households between my home and the seller to see if they received it. Or the post offices where it was obviously damaged. The seller and I worked something out but, we were both still out on this issue and Vinted was useless. I can guarantee you with other selling apps, this is not a problem. They take care of the seller and buyer. I’d suggest checking out the other apps, there are two I really like and two my daughter likes. She sells a lot and refuses to use Vinted due to issues. So, choose another one, you’ll have better luck!

I sold my product, but I couldn't get back the money, that I spent for sending the package. When I try to contact customer service, shows "unexpected error", so I can't even ask anybody to bring my money back. I don't recommend that app.

Vinted has changed a lot since I started in 2014 (when it was awesome) but things are changing and they’re making no effort to respond to these changes and improve the app. First, I think profiles that haven’t been active in literally years need to be deleted all together. Not put on vacation mode, but deleted. One of the only way to make sales is to follow people, but I’d say a good 75% of everyone I follow is inactive, not just for a month, but for years as I said. That also compounds the other problem. I can only follow a limit of 10,000 people which is the only way to make sales. I wouldn’t even mind paying a percentage of every sale just to get them to update the app, but the only way to get people to buy is to follow people and 7,000 of those 10,000 haven’t used the app in years. Vinted was sure quick to chastise me for a forum post, but seems to care less about things that actually make a difference. That’s probably why so many people have given up on the app in the first place. I feel like it had to of been bought out by someone, and whoever that someone is doesn’t care about the app because they don’t make money on the sales themselves. I’ve been on this app for 6 years and I’m very close to giving up on it, even though it’s by far my favorite layout and user interface compared to other apps. It’s a shame.

Vinted has the most ridiculous rules of any secondhand clothing venue available and I sell on many platforms. They ban items right and left for incredibly random reasons and they now charge you zero seller's fees but in order to have your items seen, you have to pay to "bump" them to the top of the catelog. Vinted banned 20+ of my listings because I had too much "New with tags" available in my closet and they don't condone "buying to resell" although their most famous sellers buy clothes to resell. Move to Poshmark where you have the artistic freedom to make money your way. I've had 10x more sales on Posh anyways. Don't waste your time with Vinted for an occasional sale. They also have more technical issues than all other sites combined. I have been on Vinted for four years and have a large following but I will definitely be leaving this venue. They're so picky they make you feel like you're in high school detention. After 8 years I’m updating this review and letting you know VINTED IS A PIECE OF CRAP. Their staff members are terrible at reviewing listings and randomly delete my items BECAUSE THE PHOTOS ARE SO GOOD THEY ASSUME THEY HAVE TO BE STOLEN and just ban them out of thin air. I hate Vinted with a passion. If I didn’t make a tiny amount of money off of them from time to time I would ban them from my phone!

  • HORRIBLE APP!!! DONT DOWNLOAD!! May 7, 2020

1st problem: I uploaded a Kylie Ulta Special Ed lipstick NWT and the app marked it as fake and deleted my listing, then proceeded to block me from using the app for a day. It wouldn’t let me post it again, I had to verify a bunch of personal info to make sure I wasn’t some kind of ‘robot’. It was my 1st day using the app. Unimpressed 2nd problem: They keep taking down my posts for no reason??? T shirts ect 3rd problem: I uploaded a bundle of VS PINK leggings for $35 and PAID the app to put it on the welcome page as a ‘promo’. They took it down within an hour and marked it as ‘scam’ because one of the leggings in the bundle was listed separately aswell ($12). They said they would KEEP my money I gave them for the promo because my post was a ‘scam’ although it was in the welcome page for less than an hour. 4th problem: You can’t use stock photos??? How can you show people how a lipstick looks on if you can’t upload pics. I uploaded some swatches and they took it down for copyright Extra notes: The app forces you to buy ‘buyer protection’ in every purchase you make. (So basically you pay $ for the item, $ for shipping + $ for buyer protection) The app let’s people ship your items in +21 days. Not so cool. App is worse than Mercari. I’ll just stick to Depop.

I do not recommend this app-recently left I had been using it for quite a while and the last encounter with them was bad as a seller. I had an order that Vinted reversed and refunded the buyer after it was already delivered to buyer saying it had not been shipped. I reported it and they did nothing—they kept asking me to provide them with updates and told me to solve it myself and get paid from buyer either from a bank wire or another means and they couldn’t help me (even though Vinted reversed the transaction themselves not me or the buyer). This is the whole point of using the app as a seller to have trust that we will get paid for the items we sell but not only did I lose the money and the items—Vinted never told me why this issue occurred or if it will be fixed. Another point—I had to google how to even report issues—there is no phone number or email or a contact page—I had to follow instructions to find out how to even contact. If you are selling items I would suggest finding somewhere else until they improve their customer service and do the right thing by fixing issues.

  • Super irritating app Nov 22, 2018

    By Flurpp
First complaint: the app crashes all the time. Second: they have way too strict rules! They kept deleting listings i made because some of the photos i used were screenshots of the original ads where i night the item. Screenshots like that help a person determine authenticity and if i can't show pics of myself wearing something because it doesn't fit using stock photos of the item should be an acceptable alternative. Also, we're allowed to make "bundle deals" but yet we aren't allowed to make a listing that includes more than one item.. contradiction. And if you have a bad experience with another member and have to cancel and order then you don't get to leave them a bad review which is stupid. Third: they went from charging the sellers to charging the buyers. With as many ads as they have all over their site you'd think they could make it cheaper to use. Lastly: there should be a free shipping option like on Mercari so i can do my own shipping if i want to. Because if you choose the wrong shipping size and the person has already paid then you can't change it without canceling the stupid order.

The people who run vinted have become ridiculous. I accidentally clicked on the wrong brand once and it deleted the entire listing while I was making it. Didn’t even let me change it. The reason this happened is when you go to type in a brand, even if you type in the exact brand, like five are visible and they jump around. You’re not allowed to use stock photos, which is fine, but they’ve deleted my pictures of MYSELF without even allowing me to tell them it was me and gave me a warning. For using my photo, of myself. The latest thing they’re doing is deleting things if they feel they’re in the wrong category. The categories are very specific. If you have something for a child, especially, there aren’t many categories. This leaves you with the other option. Although, if you chose that, even with multiple other people having used the same category for similar items, they will delete your listing. It’s nice that you make your price but with the people who run it being so ridiculous it’s barely even worth it anymore.

I’ve had this app for a few years. Let me tell you, it is phenomenal!!! Women’s, Men’s,& kids clothing and accessories. Of course like any other site there are some scammers who will try to get you, but they are taken care of quickly and the vinted team is always 100% ready to help with any issues. You can pick your preferences so you don’t have to scroll through tons of items you’d never want. All items I have ever purchased have been exactly as the seller has described. You can get some AMAZING deals and the bundles are even better! 99% of the people are super nice and very communicative. Tracking is super easy. The only thing I will say that needs fixed is when a scammer leaves a bad review on your account, it cannot be removed. That is my only complaint. Poshmark and Mercari do not compare in my opinion because everything on those sites are so pricey for the same quality pieces you would get on vinted and for a lot cheaper! Definitely recommend vinted ❤️

  • Great selling app. May 17, 2018

    By Lil Jay:)
It’s a great selling app. It’s improved so much since I first got it about five years ago. It’s super easy to sell on this site, easy to get your money for your items. They even have a “vacation mode” that other sites don’t have; so when you’re out of town and can’t ship out orders you can “close” your “store” for whatever time needed and be able to turn it back on whenever. I would give it 5 stars but the only things that need work on is being able to edit multiple similar items at once, especially for those who have a lot of items to sell (such as myself with 300+ items). Maybe even be able to rearrange the items in a certain order or have them set in categories? Also be able to take more picture of the items when listing them. Other than that, it’s an amazing app.
  • Good purchase, but a couple of things... Jan 24, 2021

    By Rosenbmata
Ok, so good things first- awesome deal, everything was packed very nicely(which I appreciate) and a little gift inside (very sweet-thank you) and items are in great condition. Buuut, I cant leave 5 stars for 2 big reasons. One is, there was dog hair on the clothes and I’m not a big fan of dogs. A quick run over with a lint roller would’ve been great. And the main item I wanted (the work pants) were listed as a size 10, but they are really a 6 (per size tag). I get that waist measurements were taken, but sizes aren’t just for the waist, but also the hips & thighs. I actually really needed the 10, so I can’t wear these, and a bit bummed. But, I am happy with everything else, so thank you :)

I started reselling my things on Vinted years ago and as changes happened I sought other platforms to sell on and unfortunately left as many other users. But with more years to come those other platforms have either become so diluted (Poshmark) that it’s impossible to sell or other platforms that simply take too much from the sale. Coming back to Vinted it’s clearly improved as far as selling fees and the overall app design itself. I feel like it has so much potential of more users were to get on board or if they made a couple of slight changes to help bring more people back to Vinted like me, and ultimately help resellers make decent sales!

Out of all the applications I have used to sell clothes, this one has been the best! However, I would recommend for an easier way to contact the team if an issue occurs with the selling/buying process. I sold a shirt to a customer, and Vinted "claimed" there was an issue with the transaction after the guest received the shirt. This was over a month ago, and I have yet to receive any information about the transaction and have yet to receive my payment. I wish a simpler way existed to contact the team about this issue (or similar problems) because it is something that can not be answered by the "Frequently Asked Questions" article.

I used to love this app, I still like it but I think it could be better. The bump feature is terrible and doesn't even work. I've bumped two new with tag items from free people, priced over half off, and the views on the item hardly went up and no one even offered to buy it. While I know that this isn't the apps fault I think that there should be a free way to show off items and share them so more people on the app can see it. Also it's very difficult to sell items on here for a reasonable price, it's easier to get my asking price on other selling apps.

the app is great, i LOVE how there is no selling fee, and everything is easy to do. however there’s little things that need to be fixed: first, i have my notifications on but it never sends me notifications, when i have notifications and i open the app and click on them it gets stuck and the little red dot for the notifs don’t go away, the app itself is overall suuuuper slow and for some reason always takes forever to load things. hopefully they fix it soon cause it’s super annoying!

I love this app, and there's a lot of Apps out there but this is by far my Favorite! The only thing that takes away from it getting 5 stars, is that I don't think Vinted has enough credit yet, bc lots of people I know still haven't even heard of it, but yet they have heard of "Poshmark", "Mercari", Letgo" & "OfferUp". I just think Vinted needs to be promoted a bit more so more people know that this is a Great App 4 Buying Great Stuff n Selling great Stuff!

It’s a great selling app, I sell lots of old clothes on here and they get sold easy and fast- how I like it! But after the new update some glitches are there because when I put an item on my page, it’s there but then a few days later it deletes itself or doubles itself, so I have to go through my 100+ items and make sure what is on there still and what’s not on there still. Please fix these glitches!

Truly wild.

Too often the app crushes while adding an item. Instead of saving it, the loader shows up forever and the draft of the ad is not being saved so I have to add an item all over again. And sometimes it doesn't accept a price change even though I'm using numbers only. Also, when I try to give discount but the other person can't finish the transaction e.g. due to lack of funds in the wallet, I am unable to regive the discount to let her finish transaction

Add more to your shop. You’re just another clothing site, one in a million. Here’s what you can add to be better: Bundling; Look at Depop. They not only offer bundling, they offer the seller a chance to sell their bundles and items with or without free shipping. Offers; Give people a chance to offer to an item. Not sure if you have this as I’ve listed 30 items so far and no one has done anything to it. More than clothes; Give me an option to sell comics or books. Branch out and get a wider array of sellers as well as customers. Don’t be limited to clothes because that is a corner in the app business you are not going to win. Instead do better. Look at Depop, Offerup and especially Mercari. Learn from other shops and do better. Depop has perfect bundling. Offerup has easy selling for all customers local and shipping. Mercari has no bots (something offerup has) and is filled to the brim with sellers and buyers because it is so strong. But dadly strict. So be better.

I have tried to stick with the Vinted through all their changes, which were many and frequent. Quit using this app for many reasons. These are the top three. Number one. I absolutely hate that you have to pay to get your items from the bottom to the top. #2. I also hate that they don’t contact you when they don’t like something about your listing and they just erase it & THEN contact you. #3. I hate that you cannot use stock photos, even when you include your own. #4. Another reason I quit was I don’t like the fact that if they don’t like your pics, they throw a huge orange flag across the top of my listing. So Unattractive and unnecessary. Who does that? Use a machine to determine whether or not your pictures are OK? #5. I have never had an app that tells me I use too many capital letters. That is simply annoying and unnecessary. When they started telling me I couldn’t use capital letters, I just shut it down. The app is more annoying and this is supposed to be fun. Last but definitely not least, they use the same people and their shopping feed all the time. It is totally unfair the way they do it and stick with the same girl with vintage clothing & Long blonde hair. Anyone who was on Vinted, knows exactly who and what I’m talking about. I bet you she makes a lot of money while we struggle. I’m done and through. Adios Vinted.

I’ve been using vinted for about 3-4 years. I used to make sales all the time, but now I haven’t made one in almost a year. If you sell only big brand items, you may be more successful selling through this app versus boutique and vintage items. In order to promote your items, you have to pay money, which I dislike. And there is no easy way to publicly lower your prices on items, requires editing each item individually. You also cannot use credit from old sales to make purchases, everything has to go through your bank account, which I also do not like. I use 4 selling apps, and this is my least favorite for promoting my items. However, you do not have to deal with high selling fees. Because of this, everyone expects your items to be dirt cheap, so you make basically the same amount anyways.

This is the bargain bin of reselling sites. The customer service team is a nightmare. The buyer pays for shipping and included in that is a fee for “buyer protection” but due to the number of issues I’ve had as a buyer I can assure you buyer protection does not exist. The terms of service and rules contradict themselves. As a seller, the buyers are few and far between. It’s good if you like trading clothes. I personally use Vinted as my “clearance rack” it’s sufficient for that. My hot items never get listed there first. Unfortunately it’s now becoming flooded with sellers who wildly over estimate the value of their items. Be careful what you buy on the chance you need a refund. They have 21 days to process it. And they are never quick. So boo for fees and yay for hidden treasure. Do not make this your first selling outlet.

Pros -Interface is nice and not too overwhelming -Easy to use -Newsfeed page is constantly refreshing and leaving you with new results -You get to keep all of your money from sales and the app does not take a portion of it (unlike Depop) Cons -Some sellers are inactive and my or may not respond back on time -Notifications can and tend to go under the radar (at least for me) -Most people do not bother replying back to you, especially if it’s an important question regarding their items I have been using Vinted since 2017 and I was expecting to make a decent amount of money from selling clothes, but I haven’t made much since now and then. I’m on and off with the app and try to find better ones out there since like everything in life, Vinted is not without its faults. For instance, the algorithm isn’t the greatest and can be ages before anyone finds your stuff. It’s best to use well known brands if you want your stuff to get noticed. Sometimes people can be pushy about wanting you to buy their stuff. Overall, Vinted isn’t terrible but I just think that it could be better. Maybe similar to apps like Offerup.

Ive sold a few items and it was relatively easy. I dislike that you have to pay to have your items reshared. Poshmark lets you do it for free. I also don’t like that people can place offers on your items but even once you accept those offers you have to wait for the buyers to place their payment. If they don’t place their payment your item sits in shopping limbo for a while. I’ve had this happen a few times and it’s disappointing to think you’ve sold an item just for there to be no follow up. I do however like that you keep 100% of what you sell unlike Poshmark that takes a pretty big cut of cheaper items.

I sell online like it was a job. I sell on poshmark, mercari and depop and all together I have sold over 1000 items/bundles. I thought I'd give this a try since the meow the merrier. I posted quite a few items. At the start I was posting daily but nothing ever sold so I posted less and less. And now it's been about 5 months and not one single item has sold. I'm very confused because during these 5 months I've sold around 200 items on my other shops. For now I'm deleting. I may come back later and try again but it didn't work out for me.

Because it’s not good. I’ve been using this app since 2014 and I used to love it, but now I would never recommend that anyone use it. It’s so difficult to sell items (that I have no problem selling on other apps) because they totally changed the app and made it so it’s extremely hard to get your items noticed. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to contact the “support team” and on the off chance you do actually communicate with them, they give copy and paste answers and don’t listen to your issues. The language barrier is also a problem. If you receive an item that isn’t as described, they force you to pay for return shipping. They also charge “buyers fees”, so after shipping and fees a $5 shirt ends up costing more than twice that. No other app charges a fee just to make purchases!! The developers of Vinted honestly don’t care about its users, they disregard every complaint and concern but instead implement weird changes that no one wants. Vinted used to be great back in the day but it’s gone SO downhill.

It really sux that there is no option to buy stuff without provision and forcing to use your protection program, when on other services protecting customer transfers is always for free, also you don't provide free returns in case seller sold products not fitting descriptions. Additionally it really is problematic that app is only in Polish and not translated in English.
  • My own pictures deleted Sep 7, 2019

    By deleted my pictures
Was enjoying my time using this application until i woke up to find that three items were deleted because of my pictures. I take all my own pictures and was told they are being deleted for copyright, which is impossible because i took them in my studio bedroom last night. To delete my pictures of my own clothing and claim it’s not mine is the weirdest thing ever. I tried to email and repost and they still won’t let me post. Sure enough i saw someone else on Vinted using my pictures and Vinted is allowing them to keep my pictures. It’s unlawful and just weird. Shutting my page down now so no one else can take my pictures and claim them and delete mine. Vinted should really be checking time stamps or when people post items to see who truly might be copying someone. Thanks Vinted for letting someone take my pics and deleting my own. Weird.

    By Lihhf
I used to use this app for all my online “thrifted” buying/selling. However, I feel like this app has fell out of its prime. Apps like Mercari which are similar to this app don’t have its sellers pay for promoting their items. It’s hard to get views on items you are trying to sell. Shipping needs to be updated because some areas have cheaper shipping than others so why make the people with cheaper shipping pay more than necessary? The shipping price can put people off of buying. Again, look at Mercari you can offer free shipping, chose between FedEx and USPS, or allow the buyer to chose. This app needs to catch up with the competition because you are not the only one anymore! Bundling on this app is better than most so that’s the one positive that sticks out against the competition. Needs to catch up or die off.

would be 5 stars but over the last few years you’ve added ENTIRELY TOO MANY ADS. it makes the site look so unprofessional and cheesy. and you click on them accidentally (which I’m sure is by design to make revenue) but you spend more time avoiding them or getting out of them than actually shopping. the cost of shipping has also significantly increased over the years as well and I’m not impressed. the point is to buy discount clothing.. so if I’m buying something for $10 and shipping is $6.99 it’s like what’s the point? that’s over 50 % of the cost of almost all the items I’m buying. definitely gone down hill vinted. And when they asked me to review the app in the actual app you couldn’t submit the post because the text box covers the send button. It’s clear this app transitioned to from user focused to making money.

This is a really fun and easy place to sell your stuff, but I’ve been having some issues lately. The first thing that bothered me is how messy the notifications page is. Second, the only form of app support is just a FAQ page. I keep running into an issue when someone buys something from my closet. Usually, I get sent a shipping label right away. Sometimes it will say something like “processing payment. this could take up to 1 working day”, so I wait. Every time this happens, I never get a shipping label even after a few days so I have to end up just cancelling the order. This is really frustrating for me and the buyer as they have to wait a couple days for that money to be put back into their bank account. I wish there was somebody I could contact to help fix this.

I have been using this app for almost 2 years now and have had zero troubles with it. However, after this previous update, I'm not receiving notifications about messages from my buyers. Please fix ASAP because I'd like to respond to them as quickly as possible. -UPDATED REVIEW FROM 4 STARS TO 2- In my 3rd to 4th year of using this app. The first time I have ever experienced someone scamming me happened a week in to coming back to this platform. User blocked me after receiving their items I noted were flawed and refused to say she received the items even though she already had them. After blocking me, the money stays stagnant. I just cancelled the order, because it was not worth going to support with their insincere, vague, and aloof responses. Other users can send you the wrong item or do the same thing when they purchase from you. It is not necessarily Vinted’s fault for this, but they do not guarantee any protection or support from people like this. You cannot even report these users from having accounts. Go somewhere else, unless you receive purchases or buy from users who already have a strong review background.

I’ve used Vinted for quite some time now. 2 years give or take. At first I really liked this app now it’s just annoying. It seems like every other day I’m getting a notification saying I violated the rules. Customer service reply’s very fast and are helpful but I just can’t use this app anymore. I have payed multiple times (bumped) my items to be noticed. I can get 2000+ views and not a single offer (which I know is my fault but it’s getting tiresome). I’ve encountered people who try to scam me. Asking to send me a check? I would NOT recommend this app for reselling. I recommend downloading Mercari instead. It’s for sure my favorite app for reselling right now.

Vinted was the first app I started with and it’s the first one I’m deleting forever. This app is a scam so be careful. There is no customer service and zero real people on the app. Their Instagram hasn’t been updated since 2016 and many of the people who run the app haven’t been on since that time either or have deleted their accounts. They do not pay for return shipping and have every automated response ready for whatever issue you have. I currently have a lost package and vinted will not do anything for me or the buyer, whereas Poshmark would immediately reimburse the both of us. I hope this app burns to the ground.

I downloaded the Vinted app as a secondary resale site after reading about it in a blog. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews here. I uploaded a few items that I thought would be productive. I was surprised that one of my items sold within a few hours. Immediately I was asked to verify my identity with typical information. I then received a notice that this had failed and they needed my personal ID. Not sure what this was, I sent a message to the help center and was told this was my SSN-but don’t worry, we don’t store this information. RED FLAGS!!! Then I began searching and reading reviews and feeling lots of regret for ever having gotten on to the platform to begin with. Besides the issue of providing too much information (passport?? Really??), there are stories about scam sellers and having to work out issues with them on your own. I’ll be canceling my sake and directing the buyer to my main platform-Poshmark. Although they take 20% if your sale, their customer service is solid and they do take care of buyers-sometimes more than the seller-but that’s another review.
