  • Good app but improvements are needed Aug 29, 2021

Over the last 5 years of driving this app has gotten a lot better but still has problems. Lots of map problems though as roads that have been completed for several years are not on the map but a few roads that just got completed are on the map. The surge from uberX shows up on delivery only accounts and makes it confusing if the delivery should have a surge. The rewards should be better. Send us notifications of when it gets busy for delivery in an area so it gives us the opportunity to go online. Support has been getting better over the years but still needs major improvement. Biggest issue is the competition for when we make it to a restaurant and they only allow drive thru and it has 20+ cars in line (that’s like an hour wait) and then we don’t get compensated or we have to wait the entire time. Same type of issue with closed restaurants and order and pay restaurant that refuse to take orders. More promotions in Montana for Uber eats and uberX would be great as a 1.3x boost for delivery at dinner isn’t that helpful. Some of our drivers have over 20,000 deliveries completed. Feels like Uber doesn’t care about its drivers and is all about greed. Late night drives are risky and $150 cleaning fee doesn’t cover the cost at all. Most details in Montana cost over $500 and won’t be available for a few weeks.

The app has improved a lot over the years however accepting reservations is far from reliable. Numerous times I have accepted reservations and while on my way to do the pickup I keep getting requests and even when trying accept trips in direction of pickup the app doesn’t process the accepted trip. Worse yet they count the trip not provided against my acceptance rate which could hurt my rating. On 2 different occasions I had 6-8 trip request sent and counted against me lowering my acceptance rate by 6% taking me from 98% down to 92%. Also on my way to pickup reservations the trip drops off and I have lost the trip also losing money, time and gas. The last trip my screen told me finding trips instead of giving me the navigation route as if the trip never existed. I had also turned on Waze and that got me to my destination and I picked up the customer and only then did the Uber app begin working again showing me I still had the trip. So again these problems and the lowering of my acceptance rating has made me hesitant to accept further reservations going forward. Customer service was useless when I relayed the problem and said they would note my account but never corrected my acceptance rating which is very disappointing. Again the app has vastly improved but the reservation component doesn’t work well at all.

Overall, I am pleased with the app and it's one of my favorite gig options. One click decline is a huge plus for safety (I'm looking at you, doordash. Do better). Payouts seem to be better than other gig apps. I'm hovering around 60% acceptance and still making decent money. I don't feel the need to decline more. But app glitches, GPS issues, and support hold this back from being a 5-star option. I gave them more detailed info in the survey but I'm not naive enough to think it will be noticed.

After driving for UberEats for several months I can say the driver app does the minimum of what it needs to do to connect you with deliveries. However, the constant glitching of many key features can be incredibly frustrating. The map’s GPS software is sluggish and often thinks roads exist where they don’t, or subdivides straight, continuous roadways in ways that create confusing delays in providing directions. At the time of this review, the tip notification system is totally haywire and sends at least two notifications per tip, often more and at random times. The weekly and daily earnings pages frequently fail to load, especially the expanded trip summary pages. If one trip summary can be accessed, it sometimes seems to keep all the subsequent ones from loading properly. The messaging feature used to constantly cut out in the middle of typing, which made it difficult to keep in touch with customers and insanely annoying experiences retyping the same thing 5+ times (this seems like it may have been fixed by the most recent update, but time will tell). The help section of the app is unavailable while on an active delivery, which makes it the most difficult to contact support precisely when it might be most urgent to do so. Overall, the app accomplishes the necessary basic functions, but the user experience is frequently unpleasant.

I’ve been doing Uber eats trips for a couple of months now and my biggest problems with this app are as follows. 1.) The GPS leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are locations completely inaccurate but when the app asks you if the correct location is accurate it doesn’t update. It constantly tries to have me perform dangerous maneuvers to get to a specific place when it should know that making a u-turn when it could have told me to make a right or a left a block before to be able to make a safe turn. And the repeated voice prompts are completely annoying. I don’t need to be told 4 or 5 times back to back to head to my pick up or the like. 2.) While I appreciate the system trying to give me the opportunity to stay busy, it is completely unreasonable to be bombarded with trip requests when I’m trying to see where I need to pull over or make a turn as I’m approaching my destination. It is also annoying to be sent requests as I’m trying to take a photo or put in a delivery pin and inadvertently accepting a request I have no idea about and then having my trip requests paused because I cancel the request I had no intention of accepting. Sending these requests after the current delivery is completed would be the best in my opinion. I’m sure there are other points that could be made but these are ones that are really bothersome for me.

The app is pretty great. I ONLY do UberEats.. The quests are generous and help make you extra money. I actually do this full time now to focus on my own business and I get by. However, they should have an option for us to decide if we are willing to deliver out of the state. I understand that people that aren’t from NY or NJ think traveling in and out of the city is a breeze, and when you live in Jersey City and Bayonne it really is, but that doesn’t mean I WANT to go back and fourth, MORE THAN ONCE in a day, let alone an hour, idk how tolls are anywhere else but getting into any part of NY is EXPENSIVE. Especially now that the pandemic has made the state of New York even more broke. I don’t mind doing it, but there are days when it’s just not worth it and when I really just don’t want to. So please, idk if you people at Uber actually read these but please consider giving us an option to travel out of state, or maybe give us an option to enter how many miles from our preferred location we are willing to go. And can you maybe figure out a way to get us to our destinations without having to pay multiple tolls, I’m doing this to make money, not to pay 2 to 3 tolls for a person who’s only gonna leave a 1-2 dollar tip. If there are going to be multiple tolls, you should figure out how to make it worthwhile.

I have only been working with Uber for about 4 weeks and have been VERY eager to earn money !! I have done OVER 137 trips and it says I have declined 30 trips !!!!! There is NO WAY I have missed that many and I have NEVER declined 1 trip !! But the WORST one is where the app messed up while finding trips, and a customer called me from a previously accepted trip that ‘dropped off’ and went back to looking for trips. He seemed desperate to get to the airport so I agreed to take him. I verified with Uber that I would be covered insurance wise even though the app was OBVIOUSLY having issues. I tried 6-7 times over 10 days afterwords to reach out to CS to get this trip ‘fixed’ so I could be paid. The kicker was when I received an email notice that I would NOT be paid due to NOT contacting them within 10 days and to “in the future be sure to notify Uber within 10 days of any issues”. To say I was upset would be putting it lightly !!! In calling CS I informed the rep that it was not their personal fault but I was VERY upset and took it out on them. And she was able to ‘fix’ it right then !!! WHY DID IT TAKE 10 days & 6-7 reps before I could get it resolved !?!?!? I am gonna get my CDL license so I can make REAL money driving for delivering goods instead of people so I can provide a living instead of just side hustle money with Uber . This is such a shame since I love to meet people and drive my car !!!

I have no idea why you allow ratings that do nothing to help your drivers improve. I have never done anything to deserve less than 5 stars, other than when there are app glitches, and when I get rated below I have no what I need to improve. This is the most frustrating thing for me personally. Hardly any riders tips me and I am polite, careful, and help them with their bags or assistance getting in out of the car when needed. We are providing a service that takes most of our fare and tipping should be automatic. The only other thing that could explain no tips is if the company is taking them. But how can that be proven? I am grateful I have a job to work until I can find something better, but I constantly worry about what will happen if I ever have a real problem with a customer or anything else really. I have been driving for almost two years now and wish the fear of actually being able to trust the company I work for would go away. You have so many drivers though so the opinions of a few don’t seem to be worth your time. It really is not becoming worth the wear and tear on my personal vehicle with prices going down and the passengers having no idea what we have to pay just to drive for you all with commercial insurance costs, fuel, tires and everything else that goes into taking care of our vehicles to provide safe traveling for YOUR customers.

Major problem currently with the app. Whenever you get the signal for a new delivery, it drives the volume all the way up. If you try to turn it down when it's ringing, it just pushes it back up again. This is very annoying if it goes off while you're dropping the food off and the customer asks you not to knock or ring. Or if you have another order in your queue, and your dropping off in a hotel or apartment hallway when you hit 'delivered' it blasts your next pickup all over the place.

  • Need improvement for security Dec 7, 2018

    By Gabieriam
Before I start with the security matter that concerns me I would like to highlight the fact that I put a destination that I was going to and what happened was that the gps put me trips that took me far away from where I was heading to and also I didn’t make it on time which shouldn’t be happening. Know the security concern, I live and drive in Miami. I started doing uber about a week ago and on my first day I picked up a person who was heading to the airport and started complaining because I was delayed dropping her off but it was because of the gps. It took me to a street one way to the right and the gps was telling me to take a left. At least I was familiar with the area and I could make a turn even though the person was complaining because I wasn’t taking the route the uber app was showing to her and to myself as well. But it could cause a huge accident, plus the gps is not very clear at the time of using it. Even though is not recomendable to switch apps I’d rather use Waze instead of the Uber navigation since the route directions can be confusing sometimes and the customers gets mad because I as a driver didn’t took the correct ways. Last but not least we should have the opportunity of having unlimited destinations to take more advantage of the app and other placed rather than only home. Otherwise, the app works really well overall.

The GPS in this app is not very accurate. It also has an option to set a destination to only accept rides going in that direction. It tells you you've arrived at your destination way before you ever even get there and you can't click the screen off or sign offline. Started receiving notifications for more trips in the direction I just came from and I hadn't even arrived at my destination yet. 🙄

Holy piece of garbage app. You go to log in, email then password. Then wants to send a code to your phone. What if you changed phone numbers maybe?? Didn't think of that did you guys? No place to log in if you don't get the code to your phone. Total garbage. How are you designing this this way? Used to use your company....can't do it now I guess.

Since the 1/4/21 update, I am only getting 3-4 rides per week. I have talked to other drivers in my market that are also not getting requests. I've made $42 this week while being online 39.5 hours. $20 of that is a cancellation. Even the scheduled trips appear to be broken. I have had one scheduled trip request in the last 18 days (I usually get 3-4 per week). When I got that request, I clicked on it within a minute and it already said it was unavailable.

Had no trouble with the old app. This new one's gps is terrible. Never had an issue with pay, this one has had an issue for 2 days straight with them saying check every 2 hours. This app sucks. Theories behind it are good though. Don't suggest driving with them. They've saturated the market with new drivers, and the ones that came back after not driving the pandemic. They run no promotions now. Earnings have plummeted. This company is taking 50% of the fares now. Greed, greed, and more greed.

Where to start. The GPS is off, having me turn down a 3 lane 1 way road. Luckily it was super late, there was only 1 car and I noticed before getting to far. That was fun. Instant cash out, how? I've done everything it says and I still can't. Chat support, what a joke. I wait forever to talk to someone and I'm on 4 times now of waiting because everytime it gets to my turn I get a message saying sorry we couldn't get to you in time. Really? Do y'all even actually do your job? I've done mine.

I've been using Uber off and on since 2020. It has had many flaws but what has really pissed me off is that over the last two weeks I've noticed reduced trips when I don't pick a few because they're like $2.50-$5.00 for long drives. I've had less food requests because of that and that's unfair. What's frustrating as well is that trips pop up and accidentally get pressed or get selected on their own without me touching it. I use Google maps because Uber maps dont work that well. I'm dissatisfied
  • Auto background checks are awful… Nov 27, 2021

    By WellsCobra
I decided to get this app and sign up for uber just to find out after the strenuous process of finding my papers and documents was for nought. If their automatic background checker messes up or finds a “discrepancy” kiss your uber driving dreams goodbye and say hello to painful weeklong processes of trying to get in touch which their support team (which can take more than an hour if you even get the help you need). I got in touch with a support agent after 40 minutes of waiting and she said there was an issue with their auto background check and that she would have the internal team fix the issue and that I would get an email saying I'm ready to drive in a day or two. To my surprise instead of an email saying Im ready to go I got an email saying there was a discrepancy on their auto background check, checkr, website and that I would have to manually put in my info to the website. I did it after the strenuous process I’d been through to get here and to my surprise it said i would need to contact someone in checkr support to get my “discrepancies” sorted out. With no info on how to actually do such a thing on their website and the pain and suffering I had gone through up to this point I decided to throw in the towel. In conclusion this is the worst experience I’ve ever had applying to any job, so if you’re as lucky as I am with background check “discrepancies” I recommend moving on and considering a different company to work for.

Hello, I started using the Uber Driver app on Nov 01, 2021 and fell in love with it immediately. I am a 61 year old female and I am not able to carry cases of water up 2-4 flights of stairs. I have tried contacting support in the past about removing Walmart deliveries from my offers but I was told that it was not possible and to just decline the request which now penalizes me. I did not sign up to deliver cases of water or groceries. We need options to remove Walmart offers please.
  • Useless Customer Service Oct 5, 2019

    By Kendall858
I have only been driving for a month and 141 rides but have been in contact with Uber customer service 4 times and they have never resolved an issue any of those times. 1 - Received a 1 Star rating and wanted an idea on what I did wrong and then explain I did have a passenger with special needs (his words) have issues getting out of my vehicle and left his phone in my car. Mom called and apologized and we took care of it but just wanted Uber to know. 2 & 3 - I have had 2 riders call me and want me to cancel the ride because they can’t figure out on their end how to cancel on the Uber app so I cancel and get dinged. 4 - Acceptance rate - For some reason I keep missing rides with the Uber app and not Lyft. I’m at 97% on Lyft only missing 3. On Uber I can’t get above 84%. I think it is because when I am helping with luggage or opening the doors for riders the rides are coming up. On Lyft they automatically put them in the que and I asked if I can make it so Uber does the same thing because I can’t get to 85% to become GOLD. On all these issues they just keep saying no one can call me back but they will pass on the information. You would think they would want input from a new driver learning for the first time but that’s not the case with Uber. Just go out and have fun giving rides and enjoy your riders and try not to worrying about the stats because they don’t track them fairly...that is my opinion of coarse. Have a great day..

Customer service is TRASH, app update & interface is TRASH. I had to jump through hoops just to change & verify my phone number, I have to wait for the weekly pay out because it won't let me update ANY of my payment info. If it's not a weekday, you're SOL on a live agent on the phone. They only give you a chat agent that has ZERO understanding of your issue & the supervisors in the department are just as bad. Save yourself the aggravation & just drive with door dash.

Thanks Uber for giving me a way to earn extra income. As of now, I have had only good experience working but one incident.. A customer reported that I was driving while intoxicated and was swerving, which I can only laugh at the report.. My body rejects alcohol and even smelling it causes me to lose my breath so in no way can I consumerist.. I probably would not have made a big deal about it but, there was a concert and I was unable to drive... Uber should force each driver to submit to a alcohol and drug test any time a report of this topics is made so drivers can quickly return to work.. if driver is has a negative result, the rider who report the issues should pay for the test and any lost wages that has occurred due to the false claim... Uber has already given me 2 drug test which I passed so I was willing to submit to a third.. Uber should also have bonus like Lyft does so we can be encouraged to drive... One last issue, for whatever reason, a friend I invited to drive always gets promotion bonus and I Never do.... being here for 2.5 years you can only imagine the bitterness I feel towards this issue.... can someone please let me know the EXACT reason why I’m not able to get the same promotion bonus...

I think NOT , Waste of time and my energy . Uber apparently not for me cuz they have made it very difficult for me so m taking heed and movn along this is not meant to be for me Ill stick w LyFt and if I want to pick up and deliver food ill continue to use Door Dash. So I’ve been doing Uber Eats for over a month now.. I also signed up for Grubhub, DoorDash, & Postmates. Let me tell you that Ubers earnings and the app are light years ahead of the competition. It’s almost not worth taking other deliveries (if you’re running multiple driver apps) because you might miss out on an Uber delivery which 9/10 times is going to pay you more. I’ve made almost $40 an hour on a busy Sunday night. I’ve made more in one night then I was able to make all week with Grubhub. To be fair I signed up for DoorDash and haven’t been able to do 1 delivery because they require you to fight to set your schedule with other Senior drivers who get access to scheduling 2 days in advance. DoorDash and Postmates both make you wait in line sometimes to pay for the order which is a joke in 2019 since everything’s digital. DoorDash also makes you sit inside your car (or stand outside your car) while scheduled because you have to be inside the boundary to receive an order which eats gas if you’re idling with a/c at ($4.09 gallon in CA) vs taking orders from home and making double 😀. For all of you debating what to do.. I hope this helps!
  • Do not understand Apr 18, 2020

I have been driving for 31/2 years and rarely I cancelled a trip however my acceptance rate has tanked. Do not understand. The only thing I can think of is at one time I had to decline a trip because I had a handy app customer and knew he would need extra help to wich I have no problem with. Another situation was I got notified by Uber, someone else used my account. The other is, ever since I got my Beam my aceptance rate has been going down. It it possible the Beam could interfere with the info you are getting. It is very discouraging to be doing what your supposed to and getting penalized for my efforts. My acceptance rates have been averaging in the 90% recently I’m down to 73%. Went out the other night for less than four hours. Had 2 trips. I had to travel 20 min to take someone 1.5 miles, then got one 25 miles. Felt good about that till I checked my acceptance rate and it dropped from 74%to73%. Does not make sence. Please check my account in full for the last 6 months. If I’m doing something wrong I want to know so I can improve the problems. Thank you. Think you have a great company. Respectfully BigAl

I started back driving for Uber. Drove one day after putting all my new information in for my new car I had to get after and accident I had in my previous automobile that the insurance company for Uber didn’t do anything for me after I had a hit and run accident and then another vehicle hit me behind that one. Uber left me hanging on that one. But now to this problem. After I started driving again, after the first day my app and account was put on hold for a back ground check. I had to call in after a week to see what was taking so long. I was told it was back and they had to go thru it and would probably take five to ten business days and they would let me know when I could drive. I just happen to check at four the next morning and my account was back active. Part two. I sat here and drove people around and can’t get my money put on my card for the bank or Uber card. They keep telling me call back in two hours. Hell its been four and I still can’t get paid. I’ve used half the gas in my car driving people around and can’t get the money I drove for to fill it back up. Why drive when Uber can’t get there part straight.
  • Why with the riders preferred partners Sep 11, 2018

    By Jay9739
The new app finally came to my market and like many others, I was counting down to start driving with this new partner app BUT surprisingly I noticed that my Uber profile has been changed and the Select has been removed out of my available options. I did went to the green hub not once but twice and even though they can verify I have done hundreds of Select rides during the last four years but they are not able to add Select on my profile again. The issue was escalated to the higher level and there is not even a single response back. I have been chosen as a riders preferred partner and I received the beautiful package but the promise of getting one month reward based on $1.0 for every rider who is tipping is getting close to the end of the second month (last month) and again there is no change or any explanation from Uber! I said millions of times, Uber is a great company and I love driving for Uber but for the first time after four years history, I am quite disappointed. There seems absolutely no way to reach out the headquarter office and support is completely unable to do anything.

I am very grateful to Mr. Llord of the offices in sears in Tucson Arizona because I owe him to continue working for his attention and passion in doing his job well, on Friday 20 he lost many hours of work because i made two calls to the costumers of service and they did not help me, I was initially attended by a person in Spanish on the sears office and after trying it for a long time He suggested changing my number and wait a few days to finish his service he retired to go to the bathroom, Mr. llord offered to try it and then to analyze I noticed that my email was badly written and nobody observed with careful care that I had 2 different profiles, for the same reason they never paid me my promosion of the beginning of my first 120 rites that I am still waiting for. Also customer service does not consider that this is our job and we live from it and without caring if the problem was not resolved they ask us to call back or go to the office, I am very grateful to Mr. llord for his commitment and dedication that made it possible for you and I will continue to earn money. grasias for him and your attention to these letters. Ok number 1: whenever the app updates it resets my app settings. What it does specifically is it turns on voice navigation. And believe me when I say that ubers voice navigation is nothing short of the most annoying thing I have ever experienced. Where do I begin? It messes with my cars Bluetooth thinking it’s a phone call so I have to manually reset my Bluetooth every time it talks. It interrupts my music. And the best part I can’t change it while driving because the account button is deactivated while driving. Which makes no sense because the help button isn’t deactivated. So are you saying it’s safer to read an entire help article rather than pushing two buttons that would help with this app pushing all of my buttons? Lol I kid Problem number 2: it’s not as bad but when a customer texts me in the app I get two notifications. Just a minor annoyance. Problem number 3: sometimes I accidentally complete the delivery before I deliver the food. Would be nice to have a undo button so I can find the address.
  • Good app but improvements are needed Aug 29, 2021

    By Mas_non

    By reservation problems

It's a great app. My only complaints are I wish I could see the exact or even just the street name of the drop off location before I pick up the food, easier to see"busy" areas and I'd like it to be easier to change my profile picture. I would drive 45+ mins to go deliver somewhere where I could get 6+ deliveries in a few hours than stay in my hometown and get maybe get 1 a day. I would love to do some long distance deliveries also.
  • No interaction warrants safety reporting? Bad news. Nov 5, 2021

    By burttruthdude
Hi I’m a driver and also a rider. upon looking at my trip history as a rider I recently discovered that I have an option to view my drivers profile and report my driver which is understandable should I have reason to. However I canceled 2 Ubers within the grace period to get a closer driver. I’ve had absolutely no interaction with these drivers what so ever. These canceled trips display in my trip history showing I was charged no fee, and also give me the ability to enter that drivers profile as well as report the profile even though I had absolutely no interaction with these drivers. Why do you give me the ability to report my driver for ALL categories of safety when I never even had an interaction with them? There is no reason to reporting anything other than a fare review to challenge a cancellation fee. You should not give riders The ability to report just anything, they should only be able to report something they have a direct correlation to. I shouldn’t be able to report my driver for rude or vulgar language when I never even gave them the opportunity to talk to me.
  • My reasons for 4 stars Jul 17, 2018

    By Tserenity11
Been driving for over 2 years with both major platforms but prefer this one over the competitor for several reasons. 1. People are more familiar with Uber which provides more rides. 2. The driver app has pretty good algorithm in major cities (iPhone 7plus) to navigate with a few mishaps, including driving Uber pool or Express 3. I tend to make more money on Uber on most given days when driving both apps. 4. Longer rides. 5. Cancel fees. 6. Fast Driver support in app. 7. More heated maps with surges. 8. The freedom it provides of a flexible schedule with discipline. The things I dislike. 1. Low pay outs on rides which require a longer travel distance TO the passenger than what you actually get paid for after completing very short rides. 2. Low payouts for mileage according to particular markets. 3. Not receiving some cancel fees (my opinion?) 4. Some passengers seem to feel a lil entitlement and can be rude. 5. The wear and tear on your vehicle period! I'm sure there's probably now I can't think of at the moment but I will say this. It does provide opportunity to change your career or change your lifestyle. I enjoy what I do and plan on moving out of state to continue.
  • Great with mainly one BIG issue Nov 14, 2019

    By Julesbug
App is great and decently easy to use. Driver support has been awesome for me. If I have a question with the app, I get immediate help! This very important. But, there is one big issue and that is they are not giving drivers the estimated time/ distance to the customer’s route *while en route on another order.* It is very difficult to make an informed decision as an independent contractor if you have no clue what the second leg of your route is! Why not follow through and give all of these details no matter if you’re sitting, waiting for an order are already in route. There should be no lack of information just because you’re in the drop-off phase of another order when receiving a new order offer. Many of us are dealing with time constraints or may want to stay in a particular area. This issue makes it impossible to predict those specifics and bring a major inconvenience especially if your customer is 24 minutes from the restaurant and you thought you’d have time to take one more order before picking kids up from school, etc. Please, please fix this and things will be nearly perfect except for unpredictable slow times.
  • It’s not bad considering Uber is a terrible company Aug 31, 2021

    By bowe6420
I have been a driver over 4 years in a small city, and I enjoy it. It’s an ideal part time job. The downside is that the app developer blatantly does not care about people. If Uber were a person, he/she would be a sociopath. They are a cold, heartless machine with zero moral or ethical boundaries or interest in maintaining a healthy partnership with their drivers. Fortunately for drivers, Uber is at least forced to provide drivers with the bare minimum essentials to be successful at it, or they wouldn’t stay in business. Only problem is they don’t play nicely or fairly, and you have to be wise and keep yourself protected, while also somewhat having to play along with their games. Whether you are a driver or a customer, it becomes quickly apparent that this screwy company is not on your side. You will see what I mean. Lyft is much better that Uber with driver and customer support, though they have their flaws as well. Anyway watch your back and good luck. And try not too get too frustrated with things not going your way because Uber is not your friend, just your partner if that.

  • Accomplishes the minimum Sep 18, 2020

    By Labdidhwjsdu

  • This app needs work Aug 17, 2019

    By bonkers !!

Wish I would see more of the surge pricing and availability to actually get on board and make it by the time I even get there it dropped instantly I've never been more frustrated with gas prices and etc I feel if I'm losing money the cost seems to be going up but we the driver make less and less
  • Recommended Uber driver app improvements Feb 18, 2019

    By Cynthianica20
I give it a 3 because after Ubering for a week, sometimes it takes me on toll routes without notifying me ahead of time. Since I don’t have a sunpass in the state of Florida. Then I have to go online and look for the bill for my toll. I wish it had a feature where I can avoid tolls like the app Waze offers. Also one the iPhone gps. Another reason is it’s not current with road construction within the city you are driving. This would be an amazing feature to avoid long drive times with and without the customer in the vehicle so we can avoid traffic build up. Also I’ve noticed when it tries to cut through some turns within plazas or a neighborhood, sometimes I approach an intersection that’s only one way and then I have to think quick and come up on when to bust a U turn so that the gps can reroute quickly. As an Uber driver I am required to have a profile photo. When an alert comes through on the gps I wish I can see my Uber riders photo so that in a large crowd, I know who to look for and kind of know what he or she looks like. It would be helpful if the rider is ordering a ride, that they confirm how many seats would be taken. I’m aware that it gives you the option to use waze but I like to stay within the app since everything I need when I’m “on the clock” is there all in one screen.
  • Inconsistent experience working for Uber Nov 6, 2021

    By illie42
I feel like the app is overlooking me for some reason - I constantly get delivery offers that are 15 to 25 miles one way and near no other restaurants, so this translates into 30 to 50 mile deliveries that will take me over an hour to complete for $5 to $10 in pay… If I don’t accept the offers then the app doesn’t send me delivery opportunities for extended periods of time (even though it is busy in my area with delivery perks of $1 to $2). The app is super glitchy and Uber support just keeps repeatedly sending me troubleshooting steps that don’t work - tips don’t show up in my inbox so I can send a thank you to customers, my cash outs are missing info and only say “your cash out of _ was successful”, busy areas on the map don’t fully load so I have to refresh the app constantly. I have days where I make less than $10 an hour before expenses, even though the app has $1 to $2 delivery perks. Seems like the longer I work for Uber the worse the pay gets and the worse the app works. I have a 99% customer rating, so not sure why the app doesn’t keep me busy during peak times. I worked 6 hours yesterday and made less than $70 before expenses, it cost me $25 in gas for the day, so that means I made approx $40 for 6 hours worth of work.

I’ve been driving for Uber since April and I am noticing so many problems with the app I can’t even get a hold of customer service to get help with the app I have been stuck not being able to work for the last three days because they’ve yet to figure out the app issues as to why I can’t login after they said that my account is still active and I should be able to deliver. I’ve called support now 10 times in yet to get my issue resolved and I’m still out of work thanks to this app having this many issues. I have deleted and re-download this app and I still can’t even get on after calling support they said I should be able to get on but the app is so bad I can’t even use it. I’ve literally been forced to apply to other delivery jobs because of the app not functioning like a proper app. I have tried to contact Uber headquarters yet my problem is yet get resolved and I’m still missing payment from one of my customers and they yet to resolve the issue as well. I haven’t been able to drive since 16 August and we are now on August 19 and Uber support has not figured out how to get me back on the road. I really do enjoy driving however this app is making it entirely difficult for me to complete my job efficiently without problems. Please fix the issue.

I’ve been trying to get my Uber debit card issue result for going on three weeks at this point because of the language barrier majority of the people I get in contact with cannot comprehend the issue all they do is copy paste a generic response when they see the word “bank” and “debit card issue” it’s absolutely ridiculous they’re not even comprehending the actual issue and just do nothing on top of this the app it’s self is not like it is for everyone else on my end. I do not have an option to pause while I am online nor can I see the map of gas stations and bathrooms available to meet in my area it’s really annoying and frustrating that I have to go off-line every time I need to pause for a second and that I don’t have access to this awesome feature every download the app five times at this point and it still doesn’t provide me with these features if someone could actually fix this for me and get back to me with it in the month that would be OK since it seems like every other issue takes weeks upon weeks for you guys to fix even though it’s super simple y’all really need to move your customer service call center from a non-English-speaking country it is doing nothing but make you guys look awful as none of you are testing if these people can actually speak and comprehend English just because they put it on the résumé doesn’t make it so

If you are looking for a way to make some money on the side, this could be a good place to look, but know, the app and dealing with Uber leaves a lot to be desired. I haven't been able to cash out for a few days now, and it's been way harder to find out why than it needs to be. The app itself is junk. Very little about the app is intuitive, yet Uber insists you use it for basic things like contacting help or managing payment.
  • Uber has failed Sep 15, 2018

What can I say about Uber. Although I have a great record/rating as a driver, Uber has failed me multiple times with there glitches and errors. I didn't think I would ever have to write a review until now. I am very upset! The whole purpose of drive Uber is to make quick cash. I drove Uber for several hours last night and my funds were not available to me. The reps on the phone couldnt give me any type of time frame or estimate when this mistake may be fixed. I stopped doing Uber for the night since I couldn't cash out. This morning, I expected to cash out, but now my funds won't be available to me until the 17th of September!! I needed that money to pay on something now which is why I drove last night!! On top that big problem, Ubers drop off locations for passengers are still not accurate. I took one women to a location and she didn't even stay in that area. This has happened multiple times. I try very hard to give my passengers the best experience possible(and it shows on my account) and Uber can't even give me that. If the money issue happens again, I may switch to lyft. As a company, you can not promote your business telling people you will make quick money or earn money fast if your app doesn't work correctly. Thats considered FALSE information. I understand that apps/programs have issues sometimes, but one thing you must try to avoid is mess with someones money (and I mean hold/freeze it).

The volume thing is not only annoying, it's rude. Like George Foreman said in Rating, it goes off at the worst time, when it's late and people are sleeping, or the library is really bad, but I think we know how to control our own volume, you don't need to do it for us, it won't let you turn the volume down, it's ridiculous

Uber will give you the money you earn most of the time, but the app is so glitchy that they have “temporary outages” where your earnings will not appear for up to three days and after that it is up to you to reach out to them and force them to look into it. I had to reach out 5 times before someone actually attempted to assist me and then they only gave me a fraction of what I was owed, claiming I had already received it. This was untrue and I could see that they were basing this off the wrong information in my pay statement. That didn’t matter to them though so I spent an additional hour trying to get help to receive 5/20 dollars owed. So with the time seeking help and the trip I did that’s 5 dollars for 2 hours. The online help tab is useless and they will cut you off before you are able to discuss the whole problem with them. If you receive an incorrect address and they ask if you want to deliver it to the new one for additional fare do not do it. Just keep the food and take the fare you will receive from arriving at the original location. This app is a good way to make money fast as I have had to rely on it for income for some time now while in between jobs but I would not call it reliable. Make sure to count the money you should receive as you go and don’t rely on the app to properly keep track.
  • I Love UberEats but Definitely Needs Improvements.. Jun 14, 2021

    By JewellSamantha
I wish I could give Uber full stars because I’ve been earning extra money as a mother of 3 boys through Uber Eats since March; I gotta say I absolutely love making extra money on my own time but with that being said, I also hate waiting my time. Uber definitely needs to improvement how Uber Drivers get to accept and view orders. In my opinion Uber Drivers should be able to see or view a list of ALL orders in their area (depending on what town you are in) OR AT THE LEAST when you accept a single order to a restaurant; you should be able to view or see all of the available orders you can accept as doubles! Instacart has a layout where you can view all the instacart orders in your area WHICH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE because you know you won’t be wasting your time.. As a Uber Eats Driver it’s very annoying to be “roaming” town to town - restaurant to restaurant trying to find a order that is worth my time. there are other improvements I would love to mention such as reviews, OPINION PERSONAL INFORMATION BEING LEAKED, navigation, time efficiency, rude customers, glitches etc but I’m really HOPING Uber can just research a little bit more on other delivery services apps in competition and do some BIG improvements. I have stayed loyal with Uber for a reason and I’m hoping that reason doesn’t get buried. -Uber Driver with Hope!

I’m new to the Uber App after doing Door Dash for about 6 months which I have an acceptance rate of 95%. I usually don’t decline trips/orders. However with this Uber App which I do Uber and Uber Eats apparently while I’m on a trips my vehicle and the Uber App fight with one another for my GPS on my apple car play. Therefore my Uber App on my phone goes dark and doesn’t alert me or vibrate when I’m getting another trip. Therefore my acceptance rating is like 55% even though I rarely decline trips. So I can’t understand how I declined so many trips and now that I’m working through the kinks in the App there’s no way to reset you acceptance rating. In addition to doing Uber Eats there’s been a few times they’ve sent me to stores that are closed or not serving the food the customer wants. However I didn’t get compensated for driving to these restaurants. I’ve tried calling support with no help so driving 30 minutes to a restaurant that can’t fill an order is my fault I guess. I also think they should tell you how long a trip is going to be. The app sent me to a location and a customer said 16 Uber drivers canceled on him it was a 4 hour trip one way from our location. Then I had to drive 4 hours back without a return trip totally not worth it. Thinking about trying Lyft because I don’t really like the way this App works with me or my vehicle.

    By to the moon;

  • No Customer Service or Care for the Chronically Ill Mar 15, 2021

    By veronavixen
I have been working with UberEats for over two years. I have a chronic health issue that makes working a “normal” job as impossible since I ebb & flow between being okay enough to work & extremely bedridden with a chronic disease. UberEats gave me the independence & sense of personhood I needed after my chronic disease took so much away from me - financial stability, my dream job, friends, family, the sense of safety. Until today. I was informed last week my background check was being redone. I agreed & then was informed first thing morning that I was able to work again. Awesome! I am feel good & have less then $30 in my account. I need to work. But when I go into the app, it says my background check is being processed. I am getting text messages to get out there to work. Even a notification in the app, but I can’t go online. I sent the online messages system over a dozen text messages over five hours with ZERO response. Uber is literally taking away the little I have left & won’t respond. You are keeping a chronically ill person from their prescriptions & making a living. With not even a response. If this is how you do business; I am better off on the street, which is going to happened to me. Thank you, Uber. I have defended you & worked with you for years before the pandemic & this is the gratitude I get shown. I hope you can sleep at night putting people who have very little out on the street.

    (1) After declining/accepting a new rider, the map exits Navigation mode and presents a top-view. (2) Due to the aforementioned, pressing the arrow button to return to Navigate mode often accidentally accepts a new driver due to that pop-up appearing in the same screen area. This is MASSIVELY annoying! (3) You send me a plethora of alerts. How about one I would prefer: Deposit made for xxxx.xx to my bank account on xxxx/xx/xx! (4) Tracking my expense vs earnings, averaging 1 USD per mile only!
  • Don’t change states if you’ve been driving a while. Sep 9, 2021

    By Mdog31
I drove in Utah for over 2 years. Requested to change cities when I moved to Atlanta. They made me submit ANOTHER background check when I had just completed one earlier in the year. And to my surprise the background checked flagged a speeding ticket and listed it as bail forfeiture and unpaid. How is this possible when the speeding ticket occurred in July of 2020 and I passed a background check on the same account in February of this year? Then when I try to bypass the system and creat a new account to drive on. They flag both my accounts for fraud. After deactivating my diamond account, they only opened up my new account to basic trips and deliveries. Meanwhile I’ve done over 200 trips already on this account and not earning any points whatsoever towards the higher tiers of pro status. My pro status doesn’t exist after four weeks of driving. And now all of a sudden they stopped offering promotions in my area. These guys are morons and just give you someone who speaks broken English to talk to through their support line. They never resolve your issue and you waste your time and lose money. When I asked Lyft to change my city. They said, “ok. What’s your new address?” An hour later they had me approved to drive. That’s almost laughable on Uber’s part. Meanwhile Über continues to charge riders upwards of $25 for a 15 minute ride and only pay me $10. Think I’m just about ready to tell them to shove it.
