  • Learning how to self love Jul 7, 2020

    By Shorebot
I had a wonderful 2018, but mid 2019 my world shifted dramatically, and everyone knows how 2020 is going. My heart aches for my old self. I would cry seeing photos of me being happy because I knew I wasn’t the same person I was before. My passions have vanished, and I felt like a shell of who I used to be. I have done almost 20 meditations so far. I am learning a new skill which is helping me learn how to stop my (negative/anxious) thoughts, and stories I tell myself (which never happen), and I just listen to the woman talk and follow her directions in regard to where my attention should be. The sleep meditations have me asleep before she gets deep into the story with is only 15 minutes long! I am starting to finally feel like I am not suffocating in my life and can breathe again... Thank you...

Hard to say what is off with this app. Maybe it is the balance between voice and ambience, where you have to strain to understand the words. Maybe there is some slight but tangible tension in the voice. Background music also lacks the soothing rhythm. Or maybe I am imagining those things. But when dealing with anxiety such nuances may become pronounced, even if very slight. I am comparing Meditopia to Calm, and Calm is better - interface is more intuitive, music and sounds choices are more calm.

This app has brought a new meaning of gratitude. I have come to a place of learning what works for my life and what does not. This Meditopia app has assisted me in my transition of change with a peace of mind and heart for the greater good of my sanity/health. I was once a Christian who never left out of the prism’s of her mind. Placing restrictions on God himself with religion. I receive the healing the universe has to offer. I have awaken my spirit to live and not suffocate and die. To release negative energy and to focus on positive energy. Meditation through meditopia is one of Gods greatest gift to regenerate our very being of existence from our head to the very souls of our feet (like regenerating a cell). I had forgotten the basics the simplicity of health and wellness, so I encourage people to use the Meditopia app!

Never in 1 million years did I think I would meditate, I didn’t even know what meditation was. This app was recommended to me by a coworker, I have always been a little bit high strung and it was starting to affect my health relationships and even work performance. Reluctantly I sat down listen to the lady on the app and followed along long story short, I have not missed a day in the past 5 months, I meditate daily, my life has improved drastically in all parts. Health, relationships with others and work performance,And I attribute a lot of that to finding this app and doing the work that is recommended it was an accident that I found it but I am glad I did thank you made it over yet

The app is really good, I had a little hiccup with the free trial, and they solved in no time. :).

I've been enjoying music from this app from time to time and thought about trying premium because planet series looked interesting, but payment plans looked ridiculous for only long run available. After uprate I found that basically all music is now locked behind the paywall, so this app is only a waste of the memory storage.

  • Please make a male voice version. Mar 24, 2020

    By ksfjanalfownsn
This seems probably a personal preference, but I find the female voice pretty disturbing and at times even creepy and unsettling. I find this somehow relates to sexism and gender bias in machine/ human-imitating voices like with Echo, Alexa, Siri for instance, that somehow female voices are assumed to be more soothing, therapeutic, servient, helpful etc. - it’s not. I just don’t understand why there isn’t a male version to all the wonderful audios that I’m listening to with their wonderful content. Or even, a variety of voices from where I can choose. I hate the current voice. Please change this for the wider audience.

So I downloaded this app thinking i could try it out to see how I liked it before the free trial ran out? Not a chance. A day later, I was charged $70 for the app, for the whole year. Nowhere did it state that it would take that amount of money out, just $6 and some change per month. Unless you really have the money so spend, it’s definitely not worth it. Apple was so great with giving me a refund, but the maker of this app needs to be more specific on the charges.

I downloaded the free app and looked at it for a minute and decided I didn’t want it and deleted it off of my phone. I never signed up for a subscription but wound up being charged for a monthly premium subscription days later. It seems that by downloading the app signs you up for a subscription that will then charge you monthly so please be aware and make sure to cancel the subscription and not just the app from your phone.

I tried this every night and it never helps me. If anything, it makes me more tense. First off, you have to pay for almost all the lessons. The voices of the people really annoys me and makes it hard to concentrate on sleeping or whatever I’m trying to do. Lastly, I don’t like the layout of the app. To wrap this review up, I would like to be able to just listen to the sounds and not the voice. A different layout for the app. More lessons that don’t need to be paid for.

  • Best in class meditation app Aug 2, 2020

    By ErnieAttorney
I’ve used three or four of the other popular meditation apps, and found one or two to be very helpful. For example, Headspace was responsible for helping me establish a regular 10 minute per day practice that I have maintained faithfully every day for the past five years. I supplemented my meditation with other apps from time to time. And recently I discovered Meditopia. I like this app best of all. Mostly because of the combination of soothing music that has a special quality I’ve not found elsewhere, and the quality of the woman’s voice that guides the meditation. There’s something about the blend of music, voice, and the words she uses, that make this meditation the most enjoyable and most relaxing of all the apps I’ve tried. So there several really good ones, but this is the best in my opinion. Of course, my opinion is just one perspective. You’d have to try it and come to your own conclusions based on your unique preferences. But, if you’re looking for a good meditation app to try, this one is worth checking out for sure.

A very beautiful app. Has a lot of features, daily meditations, sleep meditations, stories, beautiful music, nature sounds, blogs and many more. It soothes your mind and you become really calm. You can definitely notice some changes in you if you practice this daily. However I have a complaint that three-fourth of the meditations are for the premium members. There are not much meditations for the free users. I would give 5 stars if you enable atleast some of the meditations for free. Plz do this

  • Woman Is Annoying but Music is Great Nov 9, 2020

    By Lovelavish
I would definitely give five stars if they had more than one person do the meditations. Unfortunately there is only one woman who does all of them and I don’t personally like her meditation style so I have to take away a star. The other four stars are for the music meditations which are really amazing.

I have been through some spiritual doctrine. Listening to these words during meditation, ı can say that they were well thought and aligned. Only con that i can say is it can be easier to find the last meditation you did before and do the next one. Thanks for how you contributed to our lives in a gentle way.

I got this on my apple watch and it keeps making me put my password in! I love the app and all but my watch keeps vibrating to put the password in! You people are killing me. Fix your system, yet it is STILL here.

I'm going to be honest, I'm a little annoyed with this app. I loved it at first because it was a really easy way to get my meditation in without spending too much time or thinking about how I was going to do it. I had somebody guiding me the whole time. But after a month or so all I could find were meditations that you needed the premium subscription for. If you're not planning on buying a premium subscription don't get the app.

  • It’s nice but.... Jan 25, 2020

It’s nice but some people just want free sleep, meditation, or advice... and this app gives those things to you, but not for free, I would prefer an ad, then like an option to go no ads, or have a subscription for more deeper features, but no. Almost everything is locked, and I’m not willing to pay. Now on to the good, what is unlocked is fabulous. It helps you meditate and sleep. I’ve been way more calm since I got the app. Please respond by taking my suggestion. If you did your rating of 4.8 might go up to 5👍😀
