  • Learning how to self love Jul 7, 2020

    By Shorebot
I had a wonderful 2018, but mid 2019 my world shifted dramatically, and everyone knows how 2020 is going. My heart aches for my old self. I would cry seeing photos of me being happy because I knew I wasn’t the same person I was before. My passions have vanished, and I felt like a shell of who I used to be. I have done almost 20 meditations so far. I am learning a new skill which is helping me learn how to stop my (negative/anxious) thoughts, and stories I tell myself (which never happen), and I just listen to the woman talk and follow her directions in regard to where my attention should be. The sleep meditations have me asleep before she gets deep into the story with is only 15 minutes long! I am starting to finally feel like I am not suffocating in my life and can breathe again... Thank you...

I really wanted to try the 7 day trial and I pressed the subscription button. But it would still tell me I am not a premium user and restrict me from exploring several sessions. There are only 3 sleeping sessions I can try. Would be nice of you could fix that bug, because its hard to decide to buy an app if you can't really get an idea of how it truly works. :)

This app has brought a new meaning of gratitude. I have come to a place of learning what works for my life and what does not. This Meditopia app has assisted me in my transition of change with a peace of mind and heart for the greater good of my sanity/health. I was once a Christian who never left out of the prism’s of her mind. Placing restrictions on God himself with religion. I receive the healing the universe has to offer. I have awaken my spirit to live and not suffocate and die. To release negative energy and to focus on positive energy. Meditation through meditopia is one of Gods greatest gift to regenerate our very being of existence from our head to the very souls of our feet (like regenerating a cell). I had forgotten the basics the simplicity of health and wellness, so I encourage people to use the Meditopia app!

I don't subscribe to paying for apps like this and things of the sort. However, i am considering doing so with this particular one. I no longer listen to music on my walks, i found myself listening to this app. The sessions guide you on feelings and emotions. It is relatable. I'm learning that meditation has more to do with just falling asleep at night. It's also about centering self and handling emotions and anxiety. I have been incorporating this app into my daily life. It helps

Never in 1 million years did I think I would meditate, I didn’t even know what meditation was. This app was recommended to me by a coworker, I have always been a little bit high strung and it was starting to affect my health relationships and even work performance. Reluctantly I sat down listen to the lady on the app and followed along long story short, I have not missed a day in the past 5 months, I meditate daily, my life has improved drastically in all parts. Health, relationships with others and work performance,And I attribute a lot of that to finding this app and doing the work that is recommended it was an accident that I found it but I am glad I did thank you made it over yet

Love the ambience of the music. One thing that needs attention on the app is, Everytime during or in between a session, if the screen locks or times out. It doesn't provide the following session details. For me, I have to restart the app and load up that session again to have it marked as completed, slightly irritating because it doesn't show accurate stats after the session if I have restart the app. I like to know how many people meditated during my session, I'd like to know who was with me.
  • Best in class meditation app Aug 2, 2020

I’ve used three or four of the other popular meditation apps, and found one or two to be very helpful. For example, Headspace was responsible for helping me establish a regular 10 minute per day practice that I have maintained faithfully every day for the past five years. I supplemented my meditation with other apps from time to time. And recently I discovered Meditopia. I like this app best of all. Mostly because of the combination of soothing music that has a special quality I’ve not found elsewhere, and the quality of the woman’s voice that guides the meditation. There’s something about the blend of music, voice, and the words she uses, that make this meditation the most enjoyable and most relaxing of all the apps I’ve tried. So there several really good ones, but this is the best in my opinion. Of course, my opinion is just one perspective. You’d have to try it and come to your own conclusions based on your unique preferences. But, if you’re looking for a good meditation app to try, this one is worth checking out for sure.

I work night shift and on my days off it’s very hard for me to fall asleep before 6 am. I found this app last week & tried the free sounds they really knocked me out within like 5 minutes. I did pay for the upgrade so I could get a variety of sounds and not play the same ones over but so far it’s my own type of melatonin. I stopped taking melatonin a few months ago and this has been a life saver. I passed it on to some fellow night shift nurses so hopefully they’ll have the same experience as I did.

The best app so far. Not gonna lie, in the last couple of months I've been trying to learn how to meditate, find my inner peace and myself, I've been in a jouneg of ups and downs, ups and downs but now? Wow, I just really feel so.. Good like I don't have that horrible weight in my back. I don't usually rate apps but if you wanna see if this app is worthy in the premium way. IS WORTHY, the best decision that I made. Thanks meditopia, we'll be together for the rest of the road.

  • Please make a male voice version. Mar 24, 2020

    By ksfjanalfownsn
This seems probably a personal preference, but I find the female voice pretty disturbing and at times even creepy and unsettling. I find this somehow relates to sexism and gender bias in machine/ human-imitating voices like with Echo, Alexa, Siri for instance, that somehow female voices are assumed to be more soothing, therapeutic, servient, helpful etc. - it’s not. I just don’t understand why there isn’t a male version to all the wonderful audios that I’m listening to with their wonderful content. Or even, a variety of voices from where I can choose. I hate the current voice. Please change this for the wider audience.

So I downloaded this app thinking i could try it out to see how I liked it before the free trial ran out? Not a chance. A day later, I was charged $70 for the app, for the whole year. Nowhere did it state that it would take that amount of money out, just $6 and some change per month. Unless you really have the money so spend, it’s definitely not worth it. Apple was so great with giving me a refund, but the maker of this app needs to be more specific on the charges.

I downloaded the free app and looked at it for a minute and decided I didn’t want it and deleted it off of my phone. I never signed up for a subscription but wound up being charged for a monthly premium subscription days later. It seems that by downloading the app signs you up for a subscription that will then charge you monthly so please be aware and make sure to cancel the subscription and not just the app from your phone.

I tried this every night and it never helps me. If anything, it makes me more tense. First off, you have to pay for almost all the lessons. The voices of the people really annoys me and makes it hard to concentrate on sleeping or whatever I’m trying to do. Lastly, I don’t like the layout of the app. To wrap this review up, I would like to be able to just listen to the sounds and not the voice. A different layout for the app. More lessons that don’t need to be paid for.

I’ve only had this app a few days. I marked my calendar for July 20 to cancel before it started charging me in case I didn’t use it. I used the app a couple times and decided I’d better delete it because i wasn’t using it. I went to settings and canceled it and instead, it charged me. Others complained about this same business practice but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you charged me. Please refund.
  • Money Scam Jul 17, 2019

    By Mariana ;-)
I decided to do a trial run of only $1 for a month, because I was starting to love the App! But after the moth expired I was charged $64 (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION), not only that but when trying to get a refund they were unable to help me... I even sent them an email which they did not respond. I am truly disappointed because as said before I was loving the app but it turned out being a complete money scam.
  • Unable to play meditation in ios14.2 Oct 13, 2020

    By Markers1994
I haven’t used Meditopia for a while but have found myself in need of it. I was a public beta tester for iOS 14 and it seems this app is not functioning for iOS 14.2. I go to a meditation, it gets stuck on the loading symbol and never plays. Here is what I’ve done so far: - Power cycle of phone. - Airplane mode 30 seconds to reset network connectivity. - Force close of the Meditopia app. - Uninstall/reinstall Meditopia. No change with any of those steps. I did notice when I go to start a meditation, the volume graphic appears even though the volume buttons have not been touched. Please help with this app.

Ever since I started listening to this and trying to use it to fall asleep to my feet just randomly started hurt. I know this sounds weird but when ever I even just think about my feet, they just start to hurt, but not like a stinging pain it hurt inside my foot. This happened right after I used meditopia. Can anyone at least tell me what it is.

I have tried every app I could find on meditation. I don’t have issues sleeping but getting good sleep is the problem. With the voice guidance in combination with the relaxing sounds, I was able to relax and really feel the difference. I can’t wait to try some of the other sounds. If you are looking for a meditation app that actually works and helps you, this is it. Thank you so much to the developers and people who made this app.

I’ve tried several meditation apps but this is by far the best. I love the soothing voice and cadence of the speaker for the daily meditation. I find the special series to be timely and lightning. And I love the variety of the special series. I have never been one to stick to meditating but I have now meditated 90 days with this app. Can’t say enough about the work they put into it as well as the motivational boost I get from it.

I would definitely give five stars if they had more than one person do the meditations. Unfortunately there is only one woman who does all of them and I don’t personally like her meditation style so I have to take away a star. The other four stars are for the music meditations which are really amazing.

It’s nice but some people just want free sleep, meditation, or advice... and this app gives those things to you, but not for free, I would prefer an ad, then like an option to go no ads, or have a subscription for more deeper features, but no. Almost everything is locked, and I’m not willing to pay. Now on to the good, what is unlocked is fabulous. It helps you meditate and sleep. I’ve been way more calm since I got the app. Please respond by taking my suggestion. If you did your rating of 4.8 might go up to 5👍😀

I used the app a couple times and decided I’d better delete it because i wasn’t using it. I went to settings and canceled it and instead, it charged me. Others complained about this same business practice but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and you charged me. Please refund.
  • Money Scam Jul 17, 2019

I decided to do a trial run of only $1 for a month, because I was starting to love the App! But after the moth expired I was charged $64 (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION), not only that but when trying to get a refund they were unable to help me... I even sent them an email which they did not respond. I am truly disappointed because as said before I was loving the app but it turned out being a complete money scam.
  • Unable to play meditation in ios14.2 Oct 13, 2020
