  • Love the app but apple watch integration is spotty Apr 12, 2021

So I do a run/walk/cycle every day but almost daily the distance isn't available in the app to post to my challenge. It seems like I have to post it manually more often than not. My iPhone and apple watch are both connected and configured correctly but the distance that shows in the app under the 'post a distance' tab is usually plain wrong. Today for instance I did a two mile run, yet the distance is only showing as 0.1 miles in the Conqueror app, meaning I have to enter this manually again. This app would be great if it would reliably show distances covered. Also, I have referred three people but only one is registering in the app. I watched as the second person registered a challenge using my link. This was a week ago and it still doesn't show in my app. Edit: I'm not asking for a refund because despite all the minor issues, I want my medals and I need the motivation to get out! Overall, the app and experience is great, the niggles are annoying but not deal-breaking.

It's honestly such an amazing app and a great experience you get from using it. I have not run into problems yet at all. I have been doing virtual challenges for a few months now and have completed a few challenges. All of them are very fun to participate in. The only thing that I have noticed with some of the different challenges is that on some of them you will be given a race bib but on other you don't. I really like the race bibs and I hope in some way we can get more pushed out.

An awesome Virtual Challenge program with rewards that you earn at your own pace. Great platform that offers tracking along the journey and gives great satellite and 360 street views of places around the world. And when you have completed your journey you get a finisher medal to remember your victory! There is also a great social media support group on Facebook with some amazing people from all over the world making their journey to better themselves. This has kick started my old love of running and now in addition to the 4 challenges I have completed in the Conqueror Challenges and the two current ones I am on I have signed up for a series of races the Marine Corps Marathon is sponsoring including the Marine Corps Marathon in October. As a Marine Corps vet that has a couple of bad knees and back from my service this has provided me with an enjoyable challenge to rehab and enjoy running at my own pace for myself. Sometimes it is not about racing against people but the race we must run for ourselves. At the end of the day, I have completed the race and fought the good fight. That begins with yourself! Do it! Challenge yourself and connect with others and support them in their journey! Making a difference begins with YOU!

I've been part of The Conquerer community for a few months now. I find the site easy to use, the medals are really nice and you can virtually travel around the world and discover new places and most of all follow your day to day progression. What continues to amaze me are the comments on the site which are positives and encouraging so you keep pushing yourself to do better which is not the case with the majority of social networks. Being part of the Conqueror community is definitely a plus.

Latest Review: Beautiful app. You can view yourself and all others’ progress in the races, or join a special group. Being able to assign special start dates to do a digital versus race with random people would be fun. User interface is a little challenging in that some items that I wish would click for editing do not do anything. And it’s finally logging from Fitbit. Could have been a low battery, despite the watch still logging to the Fitbit app, but I won’t know for sure. Secondary Review: Previously, I couldn’t get past the login screen, but that might have been because everyone was downloading it for the first time and crashing the servers. A big sale for races had just opened up. Anyway, I’m finally past that and the app is very beautiful, however, my Fitbit steps and activities don’t appear to be automatically logging. I have to manually log, which is a bummer when I have all the settings set to do exactly what is listed. It is possible that my Fitbit’s battery was too low and turned off some features. Currently troubleshooting. But if it’s not that, I hope this gets fixed in an update. Original Review: I wish I could get past the login screen. I just signed up for these virtual races and am pretty excited. Restarted phone and app. Every time I try to log in or even attempt to register, I get dumped out of the app. Using the old MyVirtualMissions app for now, I guess.

Great app, easy to use with clear visuals showing progress, motivational extras (postcards of points of interest on your route and tree planting) and a choice of challenges that are hard to choose between. Pick your challenge, set your time goal and enjoy whilst getting fit and active but at your own pace with excellent support from the team if needed. Completed 3 very different challenges and now embarking on the 4th...highly recommend.

A bucket list item has always been the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Up pops the Conquerer Events and the ability to do Virtual Challenges. What a perfect way to spend the pandemic by completing virtual challenges. The Camino de Santiago has been completed (480.9 miles) the Great Ocean Road Race (149 miles) has been completed, and the Ring of Kerry (120 miles) is 14 miles from completion. Also signed up for Mt Everest (40 miles) Mt Fuji (46 miles) and Mt Kilimanjaro (60 miles) trifecta next. The Conquerer app is awesome to keep track of your challenges. It is intuitive, provides postcards whereby you learn a little history about places along the way, and I have to say right here and now, the tree planting for every 20% of challenge completed is a wonderful bonus. Help the environment while helping yourself stay healthy. You can join communities of walkers, runners, cyclists, etc., or you can remain in solitude if that is your thing. I have referred other friends to the Conquerer Events app and challenges and they have enjoyed as well. I will continue to do the Conquerer Virtual Challenges as we continue through the pandemic. It is my sincere desire that these will continue long after COVID as these are motivational, inspiring and keep me accountable. My Apple Watch tells me I have hit my exercise and move goals for 127 straight days, mostly by running. Well done Conquerer! Keep up the good work. Go hard, or go home! Michael Shaver

This app is brilliant it interacts with the map my walk app so easier as the miles load up automatically when you close the walk you are doing. It's been great to do the virtual walks to see the places you are going and receiving the post cards and the trees that are planted encourage you to keep going to reach your target. I came across the application by accident and have been using since before Christmas and I can honestly say have really enjoyed the experience and have had no issues at all.

I am new to doing exercising through a virtual app, and I am enjoying the Conqueror Virtual Challenge app. very much. I realize that there are many different ways to track exercise progress from different devices with this app, but I am not a high tech person. I have the app on my phone and add my results of my exercises manually to my challenges without difficulty. I have completed 5 challenges in the past month and a half, and am almost done with my 6th one. I enjoy all the features of this app and love being able to see what the actual landscape looks like as I travel on my journeys. The app is easy to navigate and has many other features. Added to this is the responsiveness of the staff that immediately sends out notifications and emails regarding what I have accomplished on my journeys, and mails out the medals earned in a very timely manner. Congratulations on developing a great app!

Such a good app. I'm on my 5th challenge so far. Really easy to use and great to be able to follow exactly where I'm up to in my challenges in time and distance. I like that most of the challenges have a street view so you can have a quick look at where you've "got to" (the Giza one sadly didn't, but that's a google maps issue not because of this this app). Distances covered are easy to post either manually or direct from my garmin depending on what activity I'm doing

This is actually worse than the old app. It's slow to open, slow to load the map, EXTREMELY slow to load streetview and spins forever on "Optimizing Google Streetview" sometimes actually going forward and sometimes not. The app is trying to do too much on a server that is way too small. Promises were made of a better experience and that these problems would be fixed, but I am not seeing any changes at all.

The basic concept and much of the visual experience is fine, although slow. But I bought 2 challenges in December on the basis that Google Fit integration was promised mid-January. I have nearly finished the first challenge and there is still NO sign of Google Fit integration. It is NOT fun entering everything manually, Google Fit users steer clear of this app. Update mid-April: still no Google Fit integration. Refund for second challenge was processed quickly, I won't be using this app again.

  • Awesome new app Jan 12, 2021

    By Utter sadness
Other than the improved aesthetics this app functions a lot better than the previous app. I don’t get logged out of it constantly. The data from miles upload within minutes from Strava updating my challenge quickly. Everything is easy to find and the icons do not make you second guess where they might lead you. The only thing I would like to see changed would be the total miles calculating one time per upload and not per challenge they are applied to. In general I do not do more than one challenge at a time, but this year I am having the 2021 challenge in the background to capture the over all miles, but the total miles listed is doubled since the miles are applying to two challenges. At the end, of the day though it doesn’t really matter as I can just check the 2021 challenge for total miles so far.

I love the features that come with this app; from planting trees to exploring the area. From February 12th 2021 I've been using Conqueror to push me towards new goals. I started walking a mile a day, then further and further until I can hike 10 miles. I've now started running the challenges. The online community are absolutely amazing, and the one time I needed to contact customer support (issue my end) I had a helpful and friendly reply within 6 minutes. I highly recommend this app.

  • Apple Watch/Health only downside, so many positives! Apr 18, 2021

    By Bibliokate
The app is beautiful and I love seeing my progress on the Challenges. I’m currently on my second one, with more planned. The FaceBook group is an exceptional community of support and encouragement. And they plant trees to celebrate your milestones!!! Which is just a lovely added bonus! The one downside is the connectivity with the Apple apps. The app updated with my steps without a problem for the first couple of weeks, and I liked that I could push an update. But if I did a “workout” on the Apple Watch, that did not push through to the Conqueror app. I’ve since just disconnected both Apple Watch and Health apps and do a manual post of my daily steps each night. I get the satisfaction of seeing my distances accrue without the frustration of “when will it post? Why isn’t it posting?” I highly recommend the Conqueror Challenges as a way to motivate and encourage oneself in one’s fitness and health goals.

The App is pretty good. What would really make it 5 stars is, if you could set a future date to start and if the Challange would not start automatically. I bought a bundle and I would love to just put all the codes in, to start the Challange back to back and have an overview of all of my challenges. Other than that the app takes a moment to find everything (especially connections, It sounded like friend connection, but it's actually your apps and devices, which I was looking for)
  • Not Perfect, But Much Better Jan 19, 2021

    By fmz0311
This app was redesigned to replace the previous app for The Conqueror. That app wasn’t bad at all, and it had a simple format. This app seeks to raise the bar - both in accessibility as well as aesthetics. I agree this app could do more - more map choices, and perhaps sub-milestone markers in between significant tourist attractions. These would help provide map needs like me some more choices in visualizing our journey from above, and liven up some portions of the trails which have 200/+ miles between significant points. That last change is probably more of a format change, but I think it would be a good one and easily-transmitted on the app. For this app itself, I do like your incorporation of Google Streetview, and the easier transition between missions and additional features. I’d still like to be able to purchase a mission directly through the app itself, so if you’re looking for a way to make more changes, that would only benefit you.

I haven't used any other similar apps but this one gives me all I need so I don't have to switch. Sign in to your challenges, see your journey, connect with Google maps to see where you really are. Notification of milestones reached and access to a really supportive community of fellow conquerors. Connects with existing tracking systems samsung garmin, apple, under armour... More to come.

I love the concept of the Conqueror challenges and I think the medals are incredible! However the app leaves much to be desired, the pacer app has a real time fitbit sync which shows you how far you're getting day but day. With Conqueror the fitbit doesn't sync until 1am which means your progress is delayed to the next day. Also the post card thing is weird and the facts seem like they're pulled from the wikipedia page of the area.

The service is really awesome so far. The community seems great from what I've seen on the Facebook group. But the app needs a UI overhaul bad. It's very cumbersome to navigate. Not unusable by any stretch but could be a lot better. I still recommend people sign up and do the challenges. It's a lot of fun. And also an improved app would make it an even better experience.

The concept and layouts are good, but the most important feature of the app, syncing activity data from devices, is inconsistent at best. Since the recent update on Feb. 1st, no data from my Apple Health app has synced to The Conqueror app. Previously, most of the data came over, but not all the data. Now, no data is posting. I’m going to turn off all connections and add all my data manually. It takes more time to figure out what data has synced and what hasn’t. Until there is a reliable connection to Apple Health, it isn’t worth connecting devices to this app. I hope they will fix all these bugs, because it would be a good app if the data integration actually worked reliably.

I love idea of this app and am completing the LEJOG challenge currently. However this version is even slower than the previous one. It takes forever to change pages when I click on the functions to the point where it often stops working. I have removed and re-installed it several times but this does not seem to help. I do not even bother checking it that regularly, which is a shame as the point of these challenges is that you keep tabs on your progress, which in turn motivates you!
