  • Love the app but apple watch integration is spotty Apr 12, 2021

    By Scoot1ng
So I do a run/walk/cycle every day but almost daily the distance isn't available in the app to post to my challenge. It seems like I have to post it manually more often than not. My iPhone and apple watch are both connected and configured correctly but the distance that shows in the app under the 'post a distance' tab is usually plain wrong. Today for instance I did a two mile run, yet the distance is only showing as 0.1 miles in the Conqueror app, meaning I have to enter this manually again. This app would be great if it would reliably show distances covered. Also, I have referred three people but only one is registering in the app. I watched as the second person registered a challenge using my link. This was a week ago and it still doesn't show in my app. Edit: I'm not asking for a refund because despite all the minor issues, I want my medals and I need the motivation to get out! Overall, the app and experience is great, the niggles are annoying but not deal-breaking.

The app is super easy to use and I love that you can enter steps as well as various other exercise to be converted to miles/km. Love that it's in both miles and km too. I like seeing the progress percentage alongside the time percentage so that you can see how much faster/slower you're going than your initial goal, and challenge yourself or make it easier for yourself next time. I like that you can change the goal time too, you never know when, say, a pandemic will hit!

An awesome Virtual Challenge program with rewards that you earn at your own pace. Great platform that offers tracking along the journey and gives great satellite and 360 street views of places around the world. And when you have completed your journey you get a finisher medal to remember your victory! There is also a great social media support group on Facebook with some amazing people from all over the world making their journey to better themselves. This has kick started my old love of running and now in addition to the 4 challenges I have completed in the Conqueror Challenges and the two current ones I am on I have signed up for a series of races the Marine Corps Marathon is sponsoring including the Marine Corps Marathon in October. As a Marine Corps vet that has a couple of bad knees and back from my service this has provided me with an enjoyable challenge to rehab and enjoy running at my own pace for myself. Sometimes it is not about racing against people but the race we must run for ourselves. At the end of the day, I have completed the race and fought the good fight. That begins with yourself! Do it! Challenge yourself and connect with others and support them in their journey! Making a difference begins with YOU!

This is the best app EVER! It has motivated me so much to get moving and explore the world during a time we aren't necessarily able to explore the world. The events and challenges are amazing and I love the postcard features as well as getting a street view of the places you visit. Things have always worked very smoothly for me in the app and I am on it every day. Thank you so much to The Conqueror Challenges for challenging me! :)
  • The concept is a solid one, but Apple Health integration needs work May 26, 2021

    By Vaijon
it’s been said multiple times that this app and concepts are a great idea. it motivates you to do something that you might not normally do during the course of your daily life like climb mount Fuji or scale Everest. so I do love the concept. The problem is with integration on the Apple iPhone and Apple health. no matter how many steps I take during a walking session the counter only appears to account .1 miles of steps. i’ve seen other reviewer‘s post this but when you read the details it says that it accumulates and posts Apple health information approximately every six hours. so far I do not find that to be the case and there’s a complete mismatch between the amount of walking that I do during the day and the amount of distance posted to the app. now there is a fix for you to do this manually and you can post your distance but you would like to have some evidence on the app that those steps were actually walked for miles run or miles cycled. I will continue to use the app and should my review change I will update accordingly. I look forward to future updates.

What a great way to see the world and not leave home. We're just a couple that was looking for something to add to our walks and this app did that and more. This app gets us out walking and exploring. It's always fun to come home afterwards and log our journey with the app, then using Google street view to see the trail section we were just on. We are hooked. 6 journies since then and going strong. Great app!

Latest Review: Beautiful app. You can view yourself and all others’ progress in the races, or join a special group. Being able to assign special start dates to do a digital versus race with random people would be fun. User interface is a little challenging in that some items that I wish would click for editing do not do anything. And it’s finally logging from Fitbit. Could have been a low battery, despite the watch still logging to the Fitbit app, but I won’t know for sure. Secondary Review: Previously, I couldn’t get past the login screen, but that might have been because everyone was downloading it for the first time and crashing the servers. A big sale for races had just opened up. Anyway, I’m finally past that and the app is very beautiful, however, my Fitbit steps and activities don’t appear to be automatically logging. I have to manually log, which is a bummer when I have all the settings set to do exactly what is listed. It is possible that my Fitbit’s battery was too low and turned off some features. Currently troubleshooting. But if it’s not that, I hope this gets fixed in an update. Original Review: I wish I could get past the login screen. I just signed up for these virtual races and am pretty excited. Restarted phone and app. Every time I try to log in or even attempt to register, I get dumped out of the app. Using the old MyVirtualMissions app for now, I guess.

A bucket list item has always been the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Up pops the Conquerer Events and the ability to do Virtual Challenges. What a perfect way to spend the pandemic by completing virtual challenges. The Camino de Santiago has been completed (480.9 miles) the Great Ocean Road Race (149 miles) has been completed, and the Ring of Kerry (120 miles) is 14 miles from completion. Also signed up for Mt Everest (40 miles) Mt Fuji (46 miles) and Mt Kilimanjaro (60 miles) trifecta next. The Conquerer app is awesome to keep track of your challenges. It is intuitive, provides postcards whereby you learn a little history about places along the way, and I have to say right here and now, the tree planting for every 20% of challenge completed is a wonderful bonus. Help the environment while helping yourself stay healthy. You can join communities of walkers, runners, cyclists, etc., or you can remain in solitude if that is your thing. I have referred other friends to the Conquerer Events app and challenges and they have enjoyed as well. I will continue to do the Conquerer Virtual Challenges as we continue through the pandemic. It is my sincere desire that these will continue long after COVID as these are motivational, inspiring and keep me accountable. My Apple Watch tells me I have hit my exercise and move goals for 127 straight days, mostly by running. Well done Conquerer! Keep up the good work. Go hard, or go home! Michael Shaver

I started my journey in May with this app. Not only is the app easy to use but seeing the sights with "pegman" is fantastic. As a working mom of 2 young boys I needed to find some time out of the day for me and Conqueror Challenges definitely does that. Choose movement u like (swim, walk, run, steps, etc) - it all adds up. I started walking 2 km a couple of times a week and now I am 5 challenges (280km) in and running 5-7 km 3 times per week. The medals are beautiful & motivating. So happy I joined.

I am new to doing exercising through a virtual app, and I am enjoying the Conqueror Virtual Challenge app. very much. I realize that there are many different ways to track exercise progress from different devices with this app, but I am not a high tech person. I have the app on my phone and add my results of my exercises manually to my challenges without difficulty. I have completed 5 challenges in the past month and a half, and am almost done with my 6th one. I enjoy all the features of this app and love being able to see what the actual landscape looks like as I travel on my journeys. The app is easy to navigate and has many other features. Added to this is the responsiveness of the staff that immediately sends out notifications and emails regarding what I have accomplished on my journeys, and mails out the medals earned in a very timely manner. Congratulations on developing a great app!

User friendly app. The Street View is a super fun part especially taking the pegman and dropping him in hilarious places. The tracking and uploading of your progress is good. The medal quality when you finish is top tier quality. The artistry is phenomenal. Heavy metal! You really want to get them all! There are not many short challenges like 30 miles and under so not for our little kids BUT the fact is they come out with new ones all the time. My husband and I are hooked on the big ones :)

I love the new app! It is Brill!! Kudos to the development team at The Conqueror Challenge for creating such a lovely 2.0 version. The new app is si easy to navigate. I love how easy I can navigate around the map/course that I'm currently competing. The drop-down menus make it really easy to toggle to my updates and postcards. Great Job@

Due to all gym closures I needed to find something else to motivate myself. That is where The Conqurer Challenge came in. This is a fantastic way Idea to self motivate and get out and exercise. It's simple and easy, just pick a Challenge, pick a time frame and away you go. In a few short months I have completed and received my first medal and have lined up 6 more to chip away at. This is the most fun I've had in ages and I also get to take my boy's along for the journey. Keep up the good work.

  • Apple Watch/Health only downside, so many positives! Apr 18, 2021

    By Bibliokate
The app is beautiful and I love seeing my progress on the Challenges. I’m currently on my second one, with more planned. The FaceBook group is an exceptional community of support and encouragement. And they plant trees to celebrate your milestones!!! Which is just a lovely added bonus! The one downside is the connectivity with the Apple apps. The app updated with my steps without a problem for the first couple of weeks, and I liked that I could push an update. But if I did a “workout” on the Apple Watch, that did not push through to the Conqueror app. I’ve since just disconnected both Apple Watch and Health apps and do a manual post of my daily steps each night. I get the satisfaction of seeing my distances accrue without the frustration of “when will it post? Why isn’t it posting?” I highly recommend the Conqueror Challenges as a way to motivate and encourage oneself in one’s fitness and health goals.
  • Fantastic motivation to get moving May 28, 2021

    By Waka waka 87
I love the Conqueror challenges. The app is really cool, the medals are beautiful, but what I love the most is the motivation to move and the postcards and tree planting. I am 51 and never ran as an exercise regimen before. I have run/walked over 1000 miles in the past 6 months! And lost that 10lbs I needed to lose. My suggestions for improvement are better updates to Apple Watch. I hate the current update twice daily mess and the double counting or missing data. I have chosen to manually enter based on my Health App. It’s accurate and easier than letting the app pull the data. My understanding is it works very well with the under armour app and Fitbit though. Also the navigation in the new app is a little funky. The icons really don’t help you to know where to go for what you want to see/do.
  • In app notifications are annoying Sep 13, 2021

    By Leash556
First of all, I love this app and I love all the challenges. I have started training for a half marathon and it has been giving me something extra to focus on, plus getting the post cards in my email when I hit milestones on the route is so fun. But the in app notifications kind of drive me insane, I know it’s nit picky but I hate seeing little red notification bubbles as it just feels like one more thing I have to take care of and I cant find a setting to turn them off. I check and make sure each time that my distance was posted correctly so I don’t need an extra reminder that it got posted, and then have multiple clicks to get rid of each notification. Please please please allow me to just turn those off 🙏
  • Not Perfect, But Much Better Jan 19, 2021

    By fmz0311
This app was redesigned to replace the previous app for The Conqueror. That app wasn’t bad at all, and it had a simple format. This app seeks to raise the bar - both in accessibility as well as aesthetics. I agree this app could do more - more map choices, and perhaps sub-milestone markers in between significant tourist attractions. These would help provide map needs like me some more choices in visualizing our journey from above, and liven up some portions of the trails which have 200/+ miles between significant points. That last change is probably more of a format change, but I think it would be a good one and easily-transmitted on the app. For this app itself, I do like your incorporation of Google Streetview, and the easier transition between missions and additional features. I’d still like to be able to purchase a mission directly through the app itself, so if you’re looking for a way to make more changes, that would only benefit you.

I love this app. It helps me keep track of the virtual races I'm on. I also like that you can change it from Miles to Kilometers. I also like that it shows a total of how far you've gone since you started, as well as for the month. I would recommend it to anyone who is completing the Conqueror Challenges. :-)
  • The concept is a solid one, but Apple Health integration needs work May 26, 2021

it’s been said multiple times that this app and concepts are a great idea. it motivates you to do something that you might not normally do during the course of your daily life like climb mount Fuji or scale Everest. so I do love the concept.
  • Medals are great but.. Jun 15, 2021

About the app: I am experiencing some sync issues with UnderArmor’s Map my walk app. It used to sync data with in couple of hours of my walk/run. Since past few days it’s takes overnight or a day to sync data. This defeats the overall purpose of the app and kills the fun. If there is going to be such delays than one can manually enter all info too. I really want this app to start syncing data on more real-time basis. I hope the developers take this into account and improve basic functionality of data syncing with apps that they claim work with this. Real fun of conquering missions, I feel is the journey, automated postcards and milestones, it is no fun if I have to manually enter data every day to see myself progress. Better data sync mechanism can fix this issue. About the medals: Medals are great, it keeps the motivation going. But really you are here for challenges and medals.
