Pretty good, but I am not very happy about new updates (version 1.0.2 - where is dark mode?) I hope they will continue to work hard on that app as I do like it.

HTML version is great, but the iOS app needs work. However, both versions suffer from the disappearance of recurring list items (they show up as future to-do’s but disappear on the present day). Once this happens I have to recreate the affected item and set it to occur daily...again and again. I’m on my third try with some items. Aside from that, the app isn’t quite intuitive, despite the simplicity of its design. I often find myself checking off items that I mean to edit. I don’t like that moving an item requires so many steps and a lack of push notifications is a curious omission for such a pricey app (the email feature is not an adequate replacement and looks messy if you’ve decided to use markdown to make an item bold or italic). All this for $3 a month subscription? Nah.

Well I thought I'd try out this app, as I'm always looking to improve my horrible memory skills, and I wasn't that impressed. First of all, if you want to add something to your list there's no way to insert it in where you want it. instead, you have to type it in at the bottom then move it up, which is annoying on my phone. The PC version is a lot easier to organize your lists, but that's not convenient when your out and about. Also I didn't like the fact that there were no checkboxes.

This app once it started was the BEST to do list ever! It was simple to use and I would pay the anual fee without complaining. But they have done a few changes which made it so difficult to use. My to dos that I check on my phone are still on the web, so I have to remove those twice. I have to click the button + to add new things, instead of just pressing return as it was before. I sent a few emails hoping that they would bring back the app as it was, but they didn’t see the need for it. Deleting it from my phone and not renewing it again. I hope you guys could hear what your customers say because apparently I’m not only the one complaining about the updates.

I love the web version, but app is just a link to web. The app doesn't work ofline (visibility only) and it's complicated to move my to-dos to another day. Hope it will be fixed soon.

This is the best and only to-do app I will ever use. I just wanted something as simple as a paper planner, but that would always be accessible (on my phone or laptop), and easier/neater to use as the unfinished to-do’s automatically travel to the next day. Every morning I arrange my to-do’s in the order in which I need to accomplish them, and it’s so satisfying to get them all checked off. I also keep several lists on TeuxDeux, including a grocery list and a list of books I want to read. Please never change or discontinue this app!

The app is okay but as many other reviews say, it lacks more stability and simplicity. I'd like to see a widget or more than one implemented for the app, at least to have a quick checking of my tasks.

Super simple list/todo app. I love that items not completed simply move to the next day. Separating the additional “someday” lists from the daily items is quite clever. Navigation between these lists is a little clunky. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the concept of this minimalist to do list, but the app presents many serious problems that make using it become really annoying sometimes. First of all, the items most of the times don't sync properly between the app and the website. They jump from column to column, or sometimes get all scrambled up in one place. Some items get crossed out randomly. The worst part is whenever I try to refresh it (by scrolling down) all the said issues get worse. Please fix it!

I love TeuxDeux. I’m a very visual person. TeuxDeux really hits the mark with me being able to see everything I need. I easily forget tasks, especially when they are not in my routine. TeuxDeux keeps me organized and it’s amazing. What I would love even more is if I could highlight the list items that are done instead of crossing them off. That would make my day if one day this could be another feature.

  • Love TD, but having subscription problems Jun 5, 2019

    By senglander
I signed up for TeuxDeux over a year ago under the email I use for my iCloud account. I stopped using it for about eleven months and since it had been so long, I wanted to try it again before subscribing. I attempted to delete that account about a month ago and TeuxDeux said they would. I made another account with a different email so I could try it out again before paying for a subscription. I loved it (the app itself is 5 star worthy) and tried to do a monthly subscription but it refused to let me because of the other account, I guess? I was emailing TeuxDeux support on how I would be able to subscribe to the app with this new account (since this one now had all my information) when I got the email from Apple saying I'd been billed by TeuxDeux (for the account I wasn't even using, which I guess they never deleted).

I want to give it 5 stars! I love everything about TeuxDeux (website, design, features), except the app. The app is practically a link to the mobile website. I'd be willing to give it a higher rating if the app was improved.
  • PREDATORY “SUBSCRIPTION ONLY” MODEL Jun 9, 2020

    By Zacharoni and cheese.
TeuxDeux does not have an option for one time purchase and will lock off all functionality after the “trial” expires. $3 a month or $24 a year is a rip off for a simple list maker no matter how streamlined. Within 4 years I would be paying ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS for a simple list maker. I would gladly pay a ONE TIME fee but never a subscription. As an example I paid adobe several hundred dollars for a one time fee to avoid costly long term downfalls. I would happily give 5 stars if they sold this for around $20 for a one time fee.

I’m on my free trial still and I think I’m gonna switch to another to-do list app because my daily tasks keep disappearing. I have 12 tasks to do everyday and I have them repeating but every day the app loses one. I’m down to 5... from 12. The future days say they are there but when it comes to the day they aren’t actually there. I’m trying to stay productive and start new habits but this app has too many glitches. Not worth any money, there’s better apps out there, I assure you.

The whole idea and how it all works is fantastic. But the execution is very poor. Even the web version. When I read your pledge to keep the app simple and as it is I thought it's probably a masked attempt of being lazy with making the app good. After trying both the web version and especially the Android app, I'm sad to be right. But still, the whole idea is fantastic! I truly hope you'll get a team of proper developers together and implement the idea right!

I used to love this app but have had so many problems with it recently. The calendar is constantly moving things to different dates and there’s definitely some type of bug that doesn’t allow my repeating things to work properly. Often, all of a sudden, there are things on my list from months before or from days ahead. I’ve seen a decline in this app and I’ve used it for 4 years. Think it’s time to find something more dependable.

i love this app so much i plan on paying for a subscription real soon. Could you guys make the interface for iPad too? i’d like to be able to view my tasks on a big screen while i work so i can see what i need to get done since i’m not always on my phone and i basically use my iPad as a monitor to view things. Thanks !

This is a great App that stays to be exactly what you need it to be. I used to do everything on notion, but having a separate place to only cross my tasks is useful and satisfying.

I have used Teux Deux for years because it was so easy to start with that it just slipped right into my daily routine and has been there ever since. I recommend it to anyone looking for a completely fluff-free to do list app with only the most satisfying features like tap-to-cross-off and drag-to-reschedule.

Perfect simple to do list. No unnecessary features bogging down on you. Only complaint is make the iOS version have smaller space between lines so you can see as many to dos in the screen at once, just like the spacing in the desktop.

I tried different apps, and never stuck to any! Within a week, I would quit using the app and go back to my pen and paper to do list. Until I found this one!! If you're a pen and paper user, you're most probably gona love this one!

i really appreciate this app. it's interface is smart and uncluttered. i like that i have a daily view and a scrolling view of my plans. the "someday lists" page has been incredibly helpful, though i would also like to have the option of creating lists within each task (for instance, if i add grocery shopping on tuesday, i'd like to be able to tap on grocery shopping and pull up a list of all the items i need to pick up). a widget would also be very helpful. otherwise a wonderful and useful app.

I love this App, it has a layout that really suits me and how I like to organise my current and future tasks. However, the issue I have with this app is that it doesn't work offline! I need to be able to see what I have to do all the time not just some of the time. If this is something the app doesn't yet have then it definitely needs it, if it does have it then it doesn't work for me on my android phone. 4/5 Stars. 5 Stars when it has offline :)

Love the minimal interface great for focusing on tasks rather then just making some. App needs serious work though if this wants to compete, it needs a widget for the days tasks and to not be just a web view in app. I like keeping a todo list on my home screen and anyone into productivity probably wants to keep there space clean. It's a great price for a year so I'll give it a long term shot I think but get the app some serious quality of life features for Android.
  • Don’t like new design Jun 20, 2021

    By shaaleena
I really liked the old design, simple, very convenient to use and nice looking. That was the main reason why I chose this app among all other “to do” applications. However new design is frustrating. Agree with previous review that the bottom date navigation is irritating and doesn’t give the feeling of completeness of interface. Unfortunately I don’t think app will get back to the old design and I will have to cancel my subscription. 😢

Love the Web App, Not So Much Android. Feels like it's just a link to the web app. It's not native, and has no offline features. I could've just added a link to my Home Screen and got the same result. But I won't complain too much, its still one of the best productivity apps out there.
