We r homeless due to the pandemic and it has help provide healthy foods for me as a diabetic and for my daughters and grandkids. I praise God for this program. It has also provided food to share to my roommates in the shelter placement that we all live in..more -

Issues with delivery
Jan 21, 2021 I give it three because the app is easy to use. There’s just issues with people getting back to you and the delivery service. I’ve had an order that consisted of 2 boxes and only received 1. No one responded, I didn’t get the second box. Haven’t ordered since then. It takes about a week to get your order which is probably due to Covid and not enough people to cover every order. The food though is not worth the prices. Most of the time I don’t get what it said in the description but it states there that you might not get what you order. Unless they are adding the price of delivery. It’s nice to have because of the pandemic though and I hope they fix their issues.more

Jan 20, 2021 While they do deliver the food, all three times they have attempted to deliver it to a nonexistent address and each time I wrote to them explaining the situation. And every time I explained the situation they’d say they were hard at work, that they are taking this matter very seriously, that they were working on it at the moment. Personally I do not understand how one could constantly get the address wrong. It shouldn’t even have happened once. Aren’t addresses supposed to be sent electronically which essentially eliminates all errors? And why was it wrong all three times that I ordered? I also know for a fact that I put the correct address in. I showed the employees my order which shows my order number and address. In addition, I also typed my address out for them in our conversation and yet again and again it’s the same responses with absolutely no effort whatsoever to fix the problem.more -

Dec 25, 2020 This app is 100% a scam. First off, they will take ages just to “approve” your current address. After waiting a while, you will be able to “place” and order which will convince you this may not be a scam. Then, they will cancel your order the day you are supposed to receive it, and when you contact them they will ensure no such thing has taken place. The contact support offered within the app are bots and not very helpful. Save your time please, this app is a scam. Do not download it and do no believe the replies stating otherwise.more -
Feb 6, 2021 One of the worst Apps I've had to deal with in my life. I placed an order I wanted it cancelled you there's no way to hit cancel there's no way to back out of it you have to contact support the support is in the Philippines in these people don't understand English. You tell them what you want done they confirm that there going to process it for you they don't process it the order does not get cancelled the delivery comes in incorrect boxes show up there's no way to reach them to tell them intomore -

Dec 9, 2020 I’ve redownloaded the app, I’ve restarted my phone, I’ve done so many things to have the app work but all it does is glitch and show me the same pages even after I was deemed as qualified and approved. I do not see any other page on the app other than the one that makes me answer the questions and submit my documents. I’ve heard from other users that they face the same problem. This HAS to be fixed ASAP.more

Feb 10, 2021 I just want to say thank you for helping out the community who been affected by Covid. I was going through food insecurity especially now since I stop getting the help from cal fresh. I still pay bills so this food resources helped me stay on time with my payment. I’m able to eat very good for a month. Thank you so much. I really appreciate this help. Thank youmore

Dec 17, 2020 This is a real program. The app is shady looking and they give automated responses that seem fake. They will also leave you hanging and not tell you that there’s a problem with your documents. I had to keep pestering them and threaten to report them to get an actual real customer service response (maybe don’t be as much of a jerk as I was). If you already applied, keep at them, you will prob need to submit documents again (black out any account numbers or ss numbers). Make sure you submit them to a customer service rep and they’ll tell you that day if there’s a problem. There are probably many people going without help because of the app design and opaque verification process.more -
Dec 16, 2020 The staff was always ready to help, got my $200 worth of groceries, it was easy only down side is that it takes up to 72 hours for confirmation to get food, only works on weekdays and dont tell you all the sizes of the product you're receiving or full type of item.more

Feb 3, 2021 Every time there is something missing in the order. When you reflect to them, they will only reply and have no action to give you the miss items.

Dec 3, 2020 I managed to order once, and then I couldn't get the app open again because it kept crashing. Then I got a notice of a door dash delivery being ordered for $150. I cancelled it immediately thinking my info had been stolen, but it turns out it was my tangelo order. A little heads up that it would be delivered through door dash would have been nice. Now I can't make another order because the app wont open. It's a mess! I'll try to reinstall it and see if that helps.more
What’s Groovy
I'm grateful for the help but not happy with the selection of the deliveries I got. I chose foods that would not perish so easily and got milk, yogurt, etc that were easily perishable.

What’s Subpar
They really only deserve 1 star because they are actually providing some food. But they are so inconsistent. I got the $600 free for food but those boxes of food are definitely not worth the price for what they send you. Idk who's donating to them to provide free $600 but they're definitely making a profit. You buy a $50 box of dairy and protein and it's really worth like $30 (if that) market value. Not to mention they take forever to send you the boxes you order. I've ordered three times and the three times there have been an issue. One order placed in December never came (talking to them now) one took 3 weeks to get here and the last order was missing a box because they ran out? And that box never came. If you qualify for the free money everything you're getting is for free and we should be grateful, which I am. But the service is terrible, you don't get your orders quickly if you're someone in need and this is definitely a scam to make someone else money so don't doubt that.
Edit: Oh they're taking money from LA county's food security branch for Covid 19

Keeps me on track!
I love the Tap-a-Tangerine feature, keeps me eating my fruits and vegetables everyday. Really easy to use, does exactly what I need it to do. The in app customer service is fast to respond and great to work with. Really enjoying this app, highly recommend.

I love the Tap-a-Tangerine feature, keeps me eating my fruits and vegetables everyday. Really easy to use, does exactly what I need it to do. The in app customer service is fast to respond and great to work with. Really enjoying this app, highly recommend. -

Looping back and forth to sign up again and again, even though you send me a text that I have been matched? Not sure what's up with that. Several reinstalls, do zero. "Great! We’ve registered you into a program that’s available to you in your area. Please return to the home screen and choose “LOGIN” to get started in your new program. Stay safe, stay healthy. Tangelo is here for you! ". Time after time, you send the above quoted text" to sign back in for benefits.???
