No driver can expect to know a big city like the palm of their hand. With free updates and voice-guided navigation, this app can cover every single country in the world. It can also direct you towards 100s of the most affordable parking lots and gas stations in your state - all while offline.

Much like 99% of the cities in the world, Kabul is not covered by wifi throughout. In fact, you are likely to go through many parts where connectivity is very limited. This is why an offline map will be an important addition to your digital toolbox.

GPS is an indispensable part of driving. Every teen should get used to it - especially with an app as simple as Sygic. It covers turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions, alternate routes, 2D and 3D maps, speed limits - and it works offline.

Update disaster. Don't purchase unless they fix it... Apr 23, 2021

It was almost perfect. I purchased full lisence and all the add-ons. The new update in April 2021 is a disaster. It's not sygic anymore and now I have to look for another gps. The guide is crazy. Many function, settings, and options are lost. If they don't fix it soon, I have to delete it. Don't purchase unless they fix it.

  • Good maps. Poor navigation Aug 22, 2019

    By LifeInLoFi
The maps are good but not the best. The off-line maps and navigation increase their value, however. The turn by turn directions has some good features including speed camera warnings. The navigation needs a lot of improvement and can be confusing and possibly dangerous if you don’t know the route. Directions are often vague and confusing, and sometimes even incorrect. While driving on a highway, the directions often do not give exit names so you don’t know which road you exit on. They often told me to turn where there are no turns. Directions tell you to simply “turn left” instead of “turn left to merge onto the highway”. And the directions missed the Walmart 5 miles from my house located in the the middle of a major US city, instead directing me to the back of the strip center one block away from the Walmart. I bought the heads up display option which is a good feature — basic but well done. But it’s useless if the rest of the app is going to get me lost along the way. For turn by turn directions, the two major iOS map apps are much more accurate and easier to follow.

Nice app, It takes a while to get the hang of it as the blue lines at the beginning confused me to whether avoid or stick to these. Volume was down though and it all made sense when I heard and saw the instruction. Would suggest to change to green colour though as green is always “go this way”. I travel a lot to different places and I bought the world unlimited version. I’ve just tried it in Spain where in Madrid worked pretty nicely, the only problem was when inside a tunnel with junctions in it as these are not shown (I reckon due to loss of GPS signal) but the commands need a bit of improvement to get in the correct lane. Between Oliva (Valencia) back to Madrid, the app got lost four different times showing junctions that didn’t exist and erroneous turns when is not even possible. The way is very straight forward, very much a motorway where there is only one time at which you need to make a slight turn to move onto another motorway (Barcelona or Madrid). I just ignored the spurious commands but this definitely needs to be looked into as may cause confusion. Once the turn commands were ignored the display reverts back to normal. Also, a heard quite a few times “slight turn” when it was a nearly 90 degree turn. All the best and keep updating and correcting these minor bugs. It’s definitely a worth to have app

GPS for automobiles is serious, very serious thing. Nowadays, erring the route is always a sign of lost time, unnecessary spending and nervousness. If you are looking for a professional geolocation tool to navigate safely and not be hostage to 3/4/5g and Wi-Fi, do not hesitate! Sygic is an excellent off-line browser with incredible accuracy and updated maps. Drive safely and assured that Sygic will always lead you to the best path. I did several tests with other GPS applications, but none proved so stable, precise and with an essential characteristic: Do not leave you in the hand, when it is more precise: when there is no internet or satellite signal. Sygic will take you wherever you want to go. Congratulations!

Based on Sygic responding to this review and the fact that I updated Sygic and speed warnings have indeed been fixed I have upped my review to 4 stars. Thanks to Sygic for responding!!! On version 20 of Sygic GPS Navigation you can no longer set you own speed limit warnings. On all previous versions I have been able to configure when a warning sounded and choose the alarm sound, this has been removed in ver 20. I really need it back. Any idea if this will be fixed?

  • Poor Directions Jul 29, 2020

    By FM-Pros
I got this because I was going to be traveling in the western U.S. and knew I would have sparse internet connectivity with my phone and tablet. However, when I put in a destination and asked for directions, it gave me a 155 mile 2:51 minute route, which I knew was wrong. Fortunately, I had WiFi at my hotel and was able to produce the correct route in Apple Maps: 43 miles and 1 hour. As it turned out, the mis-routing was a result of the fact that the shortest route sent me across the border of another state for a couple of miles, and I hadn’t downloaded that state’s map. But rather than inform me that I needed to download another map, I got a route that was three times as long. Not great. Also, when navigating, if a road changes its name, the app instructs me to “turn right”, when I really need to go straight. This means that I have to look at the app and cannot rely on audio cues alone while driving - also not great.

Bought the lifetime subscription about a year ago and it was worth it until recently. There have been a few addresses that can't be found. My biggest issue with this app is that there is no way to report or suggest an edit to the map. I drive on the interstate every day and always come to a section where the map does not recognize changes.

I purchased this GPS app and it works good, not great but just good. Sygic wants an annual fee for voice directions. Not sure why, maybe they just want me to use Google maps all the time which gives voice directions and pretty much everything else included. Since I purchased Sygic maybe "voice" should come with it??

Downloaded this app months ago but only used it once or twice because the search bar was horrible. I was using Google Maps and I never had issues finding places near me. This app seems to expect you to know the full address of where your going. You can’t just type in the name of a restaurant. This is just frustrating. A few days ago, I decided to give the app one more chance because I liked the idea of the augmented reality feature ( which I paid for). I tried it for the first time today and it was a total let down. The idea is awesome but it’s hard to tell where your next turn is. The AR screen tells your speed and distance but there are no cues to warn you about exits, turns, NADA! Nothing! I missed my exit because the sound was turned down and you simply can’t see the turns in AR mode. I’m going to triple check that I didn’t miss a setting somewhere because I really want this to work. If not... I’m going to request a refund. UPDATE: still no sound! Then when you get online to try and contact the seller, they just send you in circles. There is no clear way to request a refund. I’m sure I can call itunes but why not make it easy? BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO GIVE $$ BACK FOR A POOR APP! Sometimes customer service is what makes or breaks your company...hiding your non existent service Dept behind links that send you in frustrating circles. I WILL BE TRYING TO CONTACT SOMEONE to try and get my money back.

This app is terrible. "In 900 yards, continue straight." This happens about every 30 seconds at 40 mph. It mutes my music and gives me the above announcement...literally every 30 seconds or less. The road may not even have any turns off of it, but it still will drive you bonkers. No thanks for this app, I tried for a whole day, but I just cant.
  • Still frustrating! Aug 4, 2018

    By Histnrd
Update:the search function has greatly improved, but now the directions leave much to be desired. I have noticed that the map shows all lanes of a highway are fine, only to find that it tells me it is time to turn less than 1000 feet from the exit, sometimes it finally tells me I am turning right when the exit only lane appears. Also, on my last trip it kept telling me to get into the carpool lane so it showed me turning, every mile or two; this made it impossible to know when my real turn would be. It would be nice to get more specific info about future turns too. Finally, why is the info bar at top sometimes blue and sometimes green? I am sure there is a reason but haven’t figured it out yet. At this point I only use Sygic when I am in areas with no cell signal, otherwise I use Apple maps. I used to love Sygic and keep hoping they will finally work out all the bugs. If I can get the program to understand where I am going, it is top notch, but actually getting it to recognize an address or find a location is frustrating at best and an utter failure at worse. At one point you could share an address from Apple maps and that was great but then it was removed, by Apple or Sygic I have no idea, but pretty much an epic failure now most of the time. As I do like the maps, once I have gone someplace I mark the location so I can find it again.

1st. The good: app has the most beautiful UI, very easy to use and some great features like sharing exact location coordinates. Now the bad: premium is expensive, and this is needed for spoken directions. Free version you have to look at the screen. I wouldn't mind paying for it if it worked. On my first trip within Philadelphia metro, I got 'cannot find route' 3 times, and when it finally found it, looking at the screen is useless as it kept spinning when I approached a point I needed to turn.

$60 WASTED I purchased a subscription w/premium upgrades last year. Since SYGIC forced me to update maps the APP won't load. Thinking it was a glitch, I uninstalled & reinstalled the app, It worked fine, but I couldn't access my premium services, so I purchased another subscription. As soon as I attempted to download any of the maps, THE APP CRASHED AGAIN & WILL NOT LOAD. SYGIC has been unresponsive to help request. I should have just stuck with Google maps. What a WASTE!!
  • Ducati partnered with the app Nov 28, 2021

    By Rick Ayers
But the app doesn’t seem to have partnered with Ducati. I bought a brand new motorcycle in Italy, and it connects directly to my phone to display a map function when navigating. It’s super helpful but the only map application I can use is Sygic. I thought it would be fine, but when I went to look up directions to go back to the dealership for routine maintenance, the map software couldn’t even locate the Ducati dealership in Naples, Rome or anywhere nearby (I bought in Caserta). I had to go to Google to get the coordinates eventually to copy and paste into the app. On a later drive, I had an appointment and the navigation sent me on a new route it said would be faster through an area I didn’t know. It was directing me to go through an area that has been closed for two years and I ended up late to my appointment due to backtracking. To top it all off, I keep getting asked by the app to upgrade to premium when I can use Google maps for free, which overall provides me a better experience. I don’t care for the spam, the bad instructions or lack of a proper search function (other major landmarks are equally difficult to find, regardless of searching in Italian or English thus far). One star

I've been using this app since 2018. In the beginning it was OK. I even purchased premium version to have access to more fancy stuff. Waste of money. In Europe it worked pretty good, some minor issues. But in U.S. it is unbearable. Everytime I start the app I have problem with finding the address I want to go. Google maps or Waze have no problem with that, but Sygic does and very frequently. And the maps are up to date!! While driving, when I stop at the traffic lights the app gets lost. Waste!

We used Sygic for two years touring the western USA in a Sprinter Van type RV. Other than downloading maps, it does not need cell data for navigation. Even in the desert where there was no cellphone reception, and therefore no Google or Apple maps, Sygic never failed us. The app keeps getting better and better with updates and features like head up navigation on your windshield — which is so helpful driving at night. Much better than a Garmin or Rand McNally dedicated GPS. On the iPads you get an amazing large navigation screen, unlike a small GPS screen. The small lifetime payment gives me Sygic on my iPhone, iPad and iPad Mini. This is one of the top ten apps of any kind I’ve ever used.
  • A disappointing “Follow the Route” Mar 22, 2018

    By Jefrox77
the “follow the route” is very annoying, you will not know your next turn till the last minute or 1-2 miles before it tells you the name of the exit of your next turn. In this case its very hard to prepare your next route or especially if someone will ask you whats your next turn? Because it doesn’t show up on your screen constantly. This is my only problem with this app and its very annoying. AGAIN VERY ANNOYING “FOLLOW THE ROUTE” instead of showing the name of your next turn!!!!! So im deleting this app till they will fix it😡 i paid premium and i say what a waste....

    By Thorax 1a
I’ve used this app in Italy and the USA and overall it has been quite helpful. However, I have seen a persistent bug where the app stops providing audio cues. It stops talking for no reason at all, right in the middle of trips. This is very bad because it’s dangerous to have to look at the phone carefully while driving. Without the audio the app is not nearly as useful. I have a standard iPhone 7 and I can’t seem to fix this problem. I hope the company will respond and address it, or suggest something I should be doing.
  • Hasn’t failed me yet. Jul 1, 2018

Does seem to get confused over medians in some areas. Will tell me to turn right and then make a u-turn as soon as possible when I should just turn left. This is always in a place where there is a median but there is a break so you could turn left with no problem. Aside from that it took me on my family vacation from IL to NYC them up to Niagra Falls and over to Sandusky,Ohio and back home again without a hitch. I drove directly downtown in NYC and stayed at a hotel 3 blocks from Times Square and didn’t give me a single wrong turn!
  • Generally works great, but has a few flaws Apr 27, 2019

    By GZukes
Overall the app works great. Pros: Works with CarPlay Offline Maps Navigation works very well Maps appear to be up to date Easy to use Cons: Listed speed limits are often wrong especially for suburban surface streets near residential areas. Searching for locations by location name needs a lot of improvement. For example, searching for Dunkin’ Donuts in my area results in only listings hundreds of miles away. Searching for Dunkin’ Donuts in other nav apps results in listings within 3.5 to 4 miles. Searching by location names results in listings of places that show the distance from your location, but not the address. Locations may be close, but may not be in a desirable location or you may be looking for a place in a specific location, but can’t tell which location by the listing.

This app is great for those that want a truly offline map option and the lane assist is great....in theory. What I don't like is the fact that it waits until under 2 miles to tell you which exit you're looking for, which doesn't give you enough time to get over on some interstates. And quick interchanges are very confusing. I'm talking about those interstate exits that split into multiple lanes for different roads. This app doesn't give me enough information to get into the right lane fast enough. The only way to help this is to make sure you have the sound turned up because the voice seems to give you a bit more information. However, I prefer to drive with voice off.
  • Directions need work, can drive me crazy Mar 2, 2019

I love the app for the little speed limit notice in the lower right corner. It also shows my speed a I set it to turn red a 5 miles over the speed limit. For this, it would be better if it flashed a couple times as I exceed the 5 MPH over. But my big gripe is the verbal directions are quite stupid. I recently drove along a straight road with one route number for about seven miles. At virtually every intersection with a traffic light a voice told me to continue straight ahead! This happened about 15 times before I shut the voice off! Please fix it. I am Stephen in Safety Harbor Florida and I was traveling to the USF eye Institute in Tampa.
  • Good when driving, but when walking the voice commands go haywire Feb 14, 2019

    By JVP in Silverlake
Generally works as expected, and the downloadable maps are a godsend when driving where cellular or WiFi are not available or affordable. But when I connected earbuds to the iPhone in my pocket and used Sygic to give me directions while walking through Paris, France, the routing and voice commands went haywire, telling me arbitrarily to turn left, right, left, right, left as if I were doing somersaults. I had to turn off the routing and just use it as a plain map. Also, when using GPS my iPhone’s battery drained rapidly; a backup power pack is essential.

This NAV application is by far the best out there. I've used all of them and this on stands apart. The only suggestion I have is making it easier to find the location your going to EASILY. Often, you are in a rush to get on the road and finding the CORRECT place just doesn't work out right so you need to slow down and try every way to "fool the application" in finding the correct place. Sometimes I need to drop off the APP and go to google where I find the place right off and then just use Google to get me there. ALL THE TIME WISHING THAT I WAS USING THIS APP. User needs yo know that finding the place is just as bullet proof as Google
  • Good but dashcam needs work. May 7, 2018

    By Packetrider
This is probably the best set of offline map tools I’ve seen for mobile. I know the dash cam is a secondary gimmick component to the maps app but to really be able to market it as a dashcam replacement please add a mini-map or split screen map/video recording option. The saved video file needs to include more than just the gps location, it needs to show your car moving on the map as you drive along with the camera video. As a dev myself I know this would be fairly easy to do just by copying your map canvas and overlaying it on the video frames before writing.
  • Pretty awesome navigation app. Only problem Aug 16, 2018

    By dirtslingrman
This is a really good navigation app. Only problem I've found is you can not use dash recorder while using navigation. Really??? If I would have know this I would have bought the heads up display instead of dash can. I really like the idea of using a dash cam. But what good is it if you use navigation. Sure record your drive in case of a accident but you can't record as see where you are going. If you could I would give it 10 Stars. Refund my dash can money and I'll buy heads-up display.

The app is a pleasure to use. It is easy to find destinations, and the directions are flexible enough to take into account traffic changes. One problem with the app is that there is no setting to prevent directions from sending you across through a non-signaled, busy intersection. An alternative used by UPS is the ‘no left turn’ restriction, which is generally faster. Either or both of these options would be an improvement. Don’t let me talk you out of getting this app — it is excellent without my suggestions.
  • Works great! Especially in remote areas Dec 17, 2019

    By Upticktrader
I used this in Sicily on tiny little back roads and it didn’t miss a single turn. I had no phone data so it just use the satellites. Was perfect! Now I use it in the US. Find every little road even without cell service. Update: in the US I don’t care for using it as much as others. It doesn’t allow you to see the route ahead. Doesn’t give you other route options. But great in a pinch when there is no gos in an area.

  • Poor Directions Jul 29, 2020

There’s great features in this product. I love the stop light camera warnings, I love that it warns you if you’re going over the posted speed limit in an area. The traffic updates are far better than competing products or the built in iOS app. There are some quirks: speed limit zone aren’t accurate in my area - sometimes being off by as much as 15 MPH and there are weird artifacts like my next door neighbor’s house being listed as a restaurant(it’s not). Also - everything is an upgrade or a “premium feature”. Some things I can see why: Their real time dash cam is an upgrade - ok that’s fair. Their real view AR navigation is an upgrade - ok. I can see that too. Map updates for life? Painful but at the moment cheaper than competitors. But CARPLAY SUPPORT IS A PAID ADDON? Really? That’s just gouging people. Either offer support or don’t.

I have just driven from El Salvador to the US border. This program has taken me to parts of Puebla and San Luis Potosí that I would not recommend anyone traveling to. The routing algorithm is flawed, or the maps are not up to date. In Mexico, where I was advised that they had up to date information, there are hundreds of petroleum stations not in the database. I have not been able to find hotels that have been built for at least five years. Just this morning I wanted to leave San Luis Potosí for Monclova and even though I could see the correct road in front of me, just 20m away, the program tried to route me down backstreets that were not in any way main highways. I drove to the highway and the program continued to try to route me elsewhere. It’s flawed, no doubt in my mind. I ended up having to use Waze to find my way correctly. Waze knew every point I put in. It found all the hotels I wanted to stay at. Also, the color scheme for the day is absolute rubbish, it can not be changed, and it’s almost impossible to see roads around a route. Want to try to divert to a different route? Forget it. Once the program runs its impossible to try to look for an alternative to avoid accidents or roadworks etc. In short, it’s a flawed product.
  • Crashes constantly … Mar 8, 2020

    By ArnellTheBlaster
Update: App has been stable for the last few days with no app update. This makes me think the issue was in the backend when it was calling home (traffic updates etc). Going on a trip to test. Finger crossed (which is not something I should be thinking of). This version or combination of iOS causes this app to crash constantly. I have been unable to keep this running while driving and driving/navigating. (Will not stay active for more than 10 minutes before crashing). It will crash and go to the home screen. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, including the maps, but have the same issue. For me, the app is unusable. Went back to an older unsupported nav app and it seems to work fine on the latest version of iOS.

This is a great-looking app, and I really like that you can download maps for offline use. And the other cool functions seem awesome. But the problems I’ve run into so far will keep me from using Sygic to replace my current driving app. The first problem is that my place of work doesn’t show up when I search for it (it’s a high school, and a big one at that.) I had to go to the map, find the school (it was listed by name there), and drop a pin on it. After reading another review with the same issue it seems like it might be somewhat of a thing with this app. The second problem I’ve noticed is that as I’m currently trying to use the app the GPS is placing me about a mile north of where I actually am. That doesn’t bode well for navigation accuracy. Also, the map I downloaded for my state is not up-to-date. One of the main roads I take to work isn’t listed. It’s a more recent road, but it’s been there long enough that I’d expect it to have been added at this point (the road was completed about 2 months ago.) I hope they get things fixed, because I really do want to love this app.

This is one of the better GPS app outside of Apple Maps. I love the number of lanes it shows while drive and which lane to stay in before exiting the highway. The required speed limit for the road has been accurate and the navigation has been accepted. My disappointment has been in how slow it responds to redirecting when a turn is missed or when it suggests a faster route. You can drive another 10 yards before it catches up with you to get you back on track. This almost a deal breaker and hope the next update addresses this critical issue. Also, it has trouble locating me when sitting in my driveway and i'm ready to goto my destination. It doesn't locate until I begins driving so I'm not sure if I have to make a left or right when I leave. Another problem I've found is that when it's time to exit it doesn't show or announce the exit until around a mile until it's time to exit. This is way too late while you are in rush hour or unfamiliar with the area. Redirection is too slow it takes about 20 yards or so to realize that you've missed your turn and need be redirected. Not good! Taking this app down one star.

App is ok but my home address is wrong and sometimes gives the wrong directions or sends you the long way around if your gonna charge so much for the app you should be doing better research of the state maps and roads can’t ask customers to try and recall every missed turn or wrong direction the app gave them on a trip that’s why we pay for the app so we don’t have to do your research for you I hope you get the app fixed soon I had to stop using it for now considering it doesn’t even know my own address and I can’t change it I should be able to change the address myself at least on my map so I do like the design and the way it’s laid out but am disappointed in the way it executes the directions

  • Still frustrating! Aug 4, 2018

Waste!

I’ve had Sygic for several years now and have really loved your app. Its best feature is being able to download maps and use them offline as many places I go have limited or no cellular service. I like it even though the maps aren’t always correct and one time led my wife to a cow pasture instead of the Hershey park! I’ve always given you a break since your a British company and I’m in the US. Despite these issues, I’ve purchased every lifetime offer they’ve put out. My only issue is that, as of late, you’ve switched their business model to a subscription service instead of allowing your customers to buy your product outright. This is why I dropped my rating by two stars and have switched to mainly using a competing product. The main reason I was attracted to your product, besides the offline maps, is that I could pay once and be done. Your latest add says “you can get a yearly Premium+ license for a special loyalty price”… “Loyalty” they say… I’ve already purchased EVERY product offered to date and THIS is how you reward my loyalty? By changing the rules mid stream? I’m sorry, but I’m not going to play anymore. I’m sure you don’t care about losing just one customer… but I’m placing this review out there to warn all your future customers. Slowly but surely we’re losing more and more of our hard earned income to this type of business model and I for one am not going to participate.

Sygic works well from the phone but has problems when run from Android Auto. One immediate problem is that if I'm on a numbered route and I'm going to be turning onto an unnumbered street, it tells me to turn onto the route I'm already on. If I'm on route 10, turning onto Happy Lane, it tells me to turn onto route 10. That's a terrible glitch. It also tells me to take the second right even when it's the first right. I've posted about this since April and they're still not fixed.
  • Basic Functions Bug-Ridden on iPad Pro Oct 19, 2021

    By Disappointed in Va.
I have had Sygic on my iPad for years now, hoping the developer would eventually fix the software issues. It has been to no avail. While new bells and whistles have been added, bugs in the basic functions of the app have not been fixed. I will focus on the two issues that concern me most. The most debilitating issue is with map management. Map updates are highly problematic. The app often crashes during map updates. If a map update is interrupted for any reason, crash or otherwise, the app does not recognize that the update is incomplete. This means you can never finish the update. In the past I got around this by deleting all my maps and re-installing them. However, in the latest version of the app, I am unable to delete maps at all after a botched map update. Therefore, the maps remain in a state of limbo. My second major issue is with the Favorites list. It is impossible to delete a location from the Favorites list – if you open the Edit window, select a site to be deleted, press Delete, nothing happens. I get the distinct impression that the IOS version of this app is not high on the developer’s priority list. Otherwise, why would such basic functions still be glitchy after so many app updates over a period of years. I have paid a significant price for this app and its add-ons. I expect solid, reliable software for my investment.

This app has a better UI than Google maps. But lacks the details and real time Information Google maps has. It now supports Android Auto. But charges $49.99 on subscription basis. Marginal utility diminished after initial payment. AA should be free like any other app. It is a bit more computation intensive. I think the phone gets warmer quicker. When Google maps with Android Auto is free, not sure how long they can get people pay for them. Google has more and accurate information than Sygic!

The latest update causes the screen to freeze when using it in vehicle dash. Fix it and stop changing things! I paid for Sygic Car Nav when it was out. When Sygic GPS Nav came out I bought the individual components and in Aug. I will have to pay a yearly subscription. Don’t think I will. Maybe, when it settles down and stops changing fee structure and the way it works, I might check it out. Earlier problems - I use this in BRP Connect which is a smartphone integration to a motorcycle dash. The most current problem is after a short while Sygic goes silent. The only way to get the sound directions back is to stop and restart everything. So many hiccups in using another navigation app. Map colors are limited. Announcements are quirky. When using it in a vehicle dash the route you set up on the phone disappears when you open it in the dash. Time consuming have to set up again.

So far so good. Am giving 5 Stars and will be updating my thoughts after using each one and getting a feeling of the functionality of each. I have paid for every other app and am Hopi g this one will prove to the best one over time. Update: 1. Ability to reach customer service and no where on site map can I locate a customer service link for assistance. 2. I have been a long time customer and user of Sygic and have always been disappointed with the lack of customer service and also unable to find workarounds for iOS application issues. 3. Sygic does not recognize past purchases, such as my dash cam and front display (app for night driving). In other words, Both in the sygic website and App Store I am being ask to pay for a service that I already paid for months and even years back. Sygic has to step it up making it easier to reach customer service which is now nonexistent to be frank. As a longtime customer, I do hope that Sygic puts more time in assisting customers either by email or better yet an 800 number to confer with a live Sygic CS Representative. I hope someone from Sygic reads this below satisfactory rating and reach out to me being that it may be the only way to get in contact with someone

Admittedly I have only been using this for a short time, but since the free trial period is almost over I believe I’ve had enough experience to know that I don’t want to pay for the full version. I use the app via CarPlay in my RAV4 since it enables me to use other apps as well. The problem with Sygic and CarPlay is that the app is always in Dark mode, no matter the time of day, and even when other apps are running in Light mode. Side roads are hard enough to see in Dark mode at night, during the day time it is near impossible. The area I live in is mountainous, because of this cellular tower connections aren’t always reliable. This happened during one trip causing the app to lose track of where I was. The other problem is that when I was back into cellular range the app never recognized it, and so didn’t re-establish navigation. Sygic claims this is a GPS navigation app, but it is not. It requires strong cellular connection to function properly. This is great if you happen to live in Cupertino, but in the real world there are just too many places where cellular service either isn’t strong or just doesn’t exist. Traveling cross-country several times a year I need something that is truly reliable, Sygic isn’t it.

One star

This was a great app when I purchased it a year ago but greed has corrupted it since. Ever since they started the map subscription towards the middle to end of last year the software is full of bugs. It will no longer give you the fastest route and will give you a route that is 1-3 hours longer. Will not reroute it’s directions. Crashes at least twice each 2 1/2 hour trip. Maps are still incomplete such as 3D building feature. Incorrect info on maps such as street names. And the dash cam plugin is the most frustrating bugfest. The dash cam will only record for a certain amount of time and when you go to start a new recording it will over write your last recording. Customer service will not actually read any bug reports you send them and reply with a canned email that doesn’t actually address the bug reported and try to up sell more of their plug ins. The core software has bugs that are overlooked while they focus on adding more pay-to-use features that have their own bugs. It’s just a cash grab now with little tech support and broken features.

Previously I would have given this a pretty good rating, but recently most of the "Get directions" have resulted in a "Can't create the route" error, all of which have been reported, but to no avail, as I've never received any response from support, who used to be responsive, but not any more. In response to the developer comment, I don't think a route from one district of Los Angeles to another needs multiple maps or is excessively long.
