  • I love it ! However... Oct 10, 2016

I love it! However the game has been showing one issue for me. It has lag. Yes I know that updating it can contribute to that but the game is updated fully and it still won't not lag. Its not even normal lag either where the game won't respond to the level but its jumping lag. Every time I jump and move to get to the next platform the game lags mid jump and sets me back a little and I end up not making the jump, dying, and having to restart the whole level again. This has been specifically happening in the fire dungeon and the finale stage in the lighting dungeon. If you could fix this issue then the game would be much funner and not as frustrating to play then it should be. Other then that the game is well made and fun to play with beautiful graphics.

Not a great phone game--too precise with no margin for error. You do the levels over & over & over until you tap everything perfectly. Since there are no checkpoints, once you go beyond the first few levels, this becomes more of a chore than an enjoyable game. Too bad because everything else is done well.

If you are looking for a challenging retro platform game, you might love this. But if you are looking for a less intense blast from the past this might not be for you. This game reminded me of the platform games I played years ago. The setup and graphics are true to that retro feel and when I first started playing I was loving it. Until I got to the really tricky levels! It’s easy to figure out what you need to accomplish, but in some of the harder levels you need absolutely perfect to the split second timing combined with perfectly executed maneuvers. Add in the touch controls that aren’t always perfectly responsive and you have a recipe for frustration. If you die half a second from the end you have to start all over again. I pushed through at first and just died dozens and dozens of times, but when these time crunch levels kept popping up I finally gave up. In my opinion the difficulty was harder much earlier on than in the games from my past. It goes from super easy to insanely difficult. I’m looking for something in between.

Just finished playing through the whole game again and it solidified my longstanding opinion that this is the best mobile platformer available right now, and the fact that it's so polished, has so much content, and is completely free is absolutely insane to me. Please give this game a try, it's fantastic!

  • I like it, but the ads.. Mar 15, 2020

I really like this game. It’s a good challenging mobile game, but the reason I’m not giving this five stars is because of the ads. When I was in the lightning dungeon trying to get to the secret rooms to get the treasures needed to open the final boss door, I was getting SPAMMED with ads. Also it was the exact same ad, and they happened at the worst times. In the middle of a jump, an ad happens. Before I jump to avoid something, an ad happens, and the game continues outside the ad, and I die. After I jump to avoid something, but also have to keep doing it, the ad happens. While I’m on the conveyor thing trying to avoid the block coming my way, an ad happens and I get pushed off the conveyor and die. It’s the worst.

Great game! It kept me entertained all afternoon, with great puzzles and challenging obstacles, and looked amazing with it's simple yet colourful pixels. It also had a small story to it that I think could of used some more work, but as that wasn't really important I don't really care. I would highly recommend anyone to play this game!

  • Fantastic Frustrating Game Mar 14, 2020

    By Hmm...Interesting...
It reminds of the old platform era where precision is key and deaths are unforgiving. I believe they mentioned in the credits it was a remake of a 2011 original version. But anyway, the levels are short but they are hard too. But they are also pretty creative and it feels great when you beat them. Some levels I speed through with no deaths others, I died probably more times than I count. Especially the secret level for the gold location and the final boss level 😩. Also for the final boss you have to do the hidden levels for each location to unlock it. The final boss level almost made me give up. But the challenge is why I love this game so much. The reward to overcoming these crazy frustrating levels are worthwhile. Those challengers out there know what I am talking about. Great game with cute story too. I like how our character looks like link’s cousin lol. It fits wince he is all about dungeons. Just made me like it even more. I haven’t attempted the time trials, but I am trying out the extra levels which are fun and creative as the ones in the main game.

I really do hope they add more DLC to this game. Amazing controls. Level designs never felt bland, music is catchy (with a SNES vibe), pixel art looks quality. All I want from this game is more.

This is by far one of the more challenging platformers. It brings back nostalgic frustration stemming from similar titles that were released as you developed and progressed through ages. I can't highly recommend this enough. However, only if you are used to obsessing over beating levels even when you die countless times near the end of some of the hardest ones.😁

  • Really enjoy it! But.... Aug 11, 2020

I really enjoy this game, but I have two problems that need to be fixed. 1, Why do you have to watch an ad in order to do a time trial? I know it costs a dollar to have no ads but I just felt like it was kinda pointless. 2, I use an iPhone 6s and IDK if this is a problem for other people but when my phone starts to get pretty hot, the game starts to lag, so i’d really appreciate it if you fixed this!

This is a nice upgrade to Tiny Dangerous Dungeon, however in a lot of ways it's a step down. Ditching the metroidvania style for level based puzzle platforming was a disappointment. However the game is a lot of fun. The levels are varied and challenging, though balanced. My main gripe is once again not being able to use a Bluetooth controller. Had this option been available I think the game would be a lot more fun over touch screen controls.

The game is great. The mechanics are wonderful but they are to far apart. But it might be be that way because I'm using a tablet. The levels are amazing. I'm on the third section of the game. But the second section was just annoying. With bad level design. The rising and falling water combined with the rotating spike balls. What was most annoying was the blocks that fade away and activate they have no warning in the. Other than that the game is great.

  • Fun game, but hard to control Oct 25, 2016

    By MatHadd3r
Honestly this game would get a 5 star, but the controls can be very frustrating. The levels are really well crafted and can be challenging. There even is hidden levels within the game...but man those controls. They sometimes stick or just not work, plus something's wrong with the mechanics when moving and jumping. I gave up trying to finish the last levels because the controls kept getting in the way. Not sure what the devs need to change, since the issue is touch screen not scripting, but they seem smart enough for the task!

  • I like the game but... Jun 30, 2019

This game’s graphics and looks are amazing, the game has a few hours of gameplay and, the controls are responsive but there are some things that need to be addressed. For one, what happened to the Metroidvania style of game from before? It’s just me but I really liked that style of gameplay. Second of all, what is this difficulty? It ramps up way too fast and I was so confused about the end of the game that I had to look up a video on how to enter the door at the end. I would like to give the game 5 stars but I’m so confused and frustrated at the end that it’s only ok

this game, though maybe good by itself, promises to be a sequel to Tiny Darkest Dungeons, and it could hardly be further from that. In tiny DD you explore the map, getting powerups to explore other parts, while in Super DD it is level-based, leaving behind all the fun of finding the secrets, revisiting previous places to get somewhere else and making it impossible to lose progress as, in Tiny DD, saving meant travelling several rooms to find a save point while here you just finish the level.
