I mean, it’s cube escape without actually being cube escape. The puzzles, graphics, music, all very similar and the level of difficulty is on par as well - except for a little twist. So I’ve got nothing bad to say at all. That said, one small drawback: be sure you disable your inventory item when tapping around to investigate room elements, because some may not react at all while the item in your inventory is selected. And some of the items were really small. But great game!!!

It's fine. It's entertaining and the graffics are decent. I only gave it 3 stars because a couple of the puzzles I could only solve after watching the walk through (x-ray puzzle and weight puzzle). I don't care that I couldn't figure them out, but even after watching the walk through I still do not understand how they were solved. They seem a bit nonsensical and that pisses me off.

Most people seem to be rating 5 stars, which is fine, BUT I do have a big pet peeve personally. Sometimes it was difficult for me to know what I was looking for as the images don’t change when there is a change (I know this made no sense, let me explain). When you had to move the stones in Chapter 2, it would glow red when you got that part of the puzzle right, but when you would go back out to the room view, the stones were just regular. There were a few changes in room pictures, but mostly for things you would only go to once and then never visit again, (like the suitcase). Also one thing that was annoying is that for the last one, the place you used the cross, was not actually shown in the room image, even though it should of been visible. Those kind of made it hard for me to get around, but the puzzles were a good difficulty, easier at times, more difficult at other times. Overall, I enjoyed this and I do recommend it if you like these types of games. Also yes, this is obviously a Rusty Lake “inspired” and honestly a bit more than inspired... butttt you can still enjoy it.

The game is crafted very nicely. The puzzles are challenging, but logical and solvable without having to "cheat". The story is decent, though it could benefit from a little more detail and maybe some more cut scenes. Overall good work devs.

This is honestly one of the better animated games I’ve played Yes it’s kind of a copy cat of Rusty Lake but there’s lots of games that do that. Doesn’t make the game any less exciting. Its challenging. I had to look up answers twice, but honestly what’s the fun in it if you don’t get stumped. Anyways just play it. What’s the worst that could happen? You play for 10 minutes and you dont like it, then delete the app. Give it a try though

This game is one of the special ones that stood out from every escape games I've played. The levels are fairly moderate but really fun to play! I wish there's more chapters to it. The artstyle is the cherry on top, the spookyness adds to it was well! It adds the unsettling feeling toward us players. It could have more cutscenes with some voice, but overall it's a great for such a small indie game!! You my friend gain these 5 stars!

I had to look at most of the tutorials to even understand what to do, I feel like things should be more clear as to help the player understand where they should go next. I love the complexity of it though with adding two sides of the same room to help you navigate. Its great, but adding some more clues to help the player figure out where to look for things would make is a 5/5. Keep working your games are really good!

I’ve played hundreds and hundreds (literally) of escape games. This is definitely a standout. It’s not easy enough to be boring but just hard enough to make me walk away for a minute then get drawn right back to it. Love the walkthrough (would prefer in game hints). Lots of fun and can’t wait for more chapters and games. PLEASE JUST TAKE MY MONEY was my reaction when asked to purchase to remove ads and support developers.

Similar to Forgotten Hill games. It's fairly straight forward and it leaves you to figure out what to do and the not too hard puzzles yourself which I like. One of those where you try everything everywhere If you're stuck and you find the right combo. I wish the interaction was more complex and locations open up more. It definitely needs the gross factor turning up when you look in the spirit world. More ick needed! Happy to pay to remove ads to keep developing such games.

It’s always nice to see a good game from a new developer! This one has some elements that are similar to Rusty Lake and Forgotten Hill, which is good with me as I love both of those. I found some of the puzzles to be pretty challenging and needed help on one of them. There’s an in-game link to a walkthrough which came in handy. Great work, dev! I’ll be looking forward to more from you!

As others have stated, this is a copy of Rusty Lake/Escape Cube, only not as good. A couple of puzzles were difficult enough that I got bored and watched the walkthrough. The tile puzzle was not intuitive at all. I solved the flask machine puzzle by luck. Even with the tutorials I had no idea what the goal was. The x-ray puzzle was ridiculous. I’m an avid anagram player, but just used the walkthrough. Last but not least, it’s short. I spend $60+/month on games. This one is worth a cup of coffee, no more.

Gameplay is actually quite fun, but I do not condone stealing and unauthorized usage. This game completely rips off the rusty lake series' art style, AFAIK through illegal usage, and cannot defend itself by claiming to be a parody or "inspired by" as this is clearly art copyright: it is a blatant copy and also does not credit rusty lake anywhere, signaling they didn't get prior permission. Also, uses an aggressive "donate or ad" money strategy: both annoying and profiting from stolen (trace) art
  • Impossible tile puzzle Jan 28, 2021

    By Sarah Smash
I feel like I could love this game but stuck completely on a ridiculous tile puzzle that makes absolutely no sense on how to solve. Walkthrough is useless once you attempt it once as there are endless moves with one single tile to attempt. Wish there was a skip function after a certain amount of time.

The puzzles are clever and fun to work out, but some of the pieces needed in order to solve a puzzle blend into either the background (like some runes), or blend in with the inventory boxes (like the chains). This could partly be due to my bad eyesight, but my only criticism here is there should be a bit more color contrast with items you pick up. Overall, I liked the story so far and I'm looking forward to future chapters.
  • PLEASE MAKE MORE!!! Feb 4, 2021

    By HonestSeana
I love this game soooooo much!!! There is a certain amount of chapters on here and then this developer asks for donations if you would like to play more in the future when more is made. PLEASE donate as much as you can afford! I honestly would pay more if I thought there could be more content sooner! Truly one of my favorites! If you like the Rusty Lake games and/or any Amanita Design games, this one is awesome!!
  • The right amount of challenge Feb 13, 2021

Some of these type of games is too easy, and some are way too hard, this one is just right. Challenging enough that when you solve a puzzle, it makes you proud.

So personally I love puzzlers. And this one has been the most thought provoking by far. It's got a great creepy factor to it making it more fun. The story is going good and I want more honestly. But, I'm kind of worried that the weighing scale one, doesn't make sense. Like all other puzzles were brilliant since they used actually science and knowledge. But that one bit ticked me off. Regardless I must say, please release the chapters soon! Great work!!!!

Great game! It is heavily influenced by the Rusty Lake games so if you are fan of those you will probably like this. My only complaint is that there aren’t enough levels. I want to more.

Well designed, logical problem solutions, and sideways thinking is required. No “Why on earth would anyone do that?” moments. Clearly borrows style and tone from the Rusty Lake and Forgotten Hill series, but does it well, so that’s fine by me. Play patiently, and you should not need to look up any answers - you DO have to walk away sometimes in order to clear jammed thinking. But that’s why it’s fun. Would have awarded five stars, but this game is pretty short, so...

Not bad for a Rusty Lake knockoff. Got kinda frustrated at the lack of touch response at times and the nonsensical scale puzzle, but it entertained me for about an hour and a half. Waited until I finished the first chapter to see if I liked it enough to "donate" to remove ads. I'm glad I only paid $1.49; there's only two chapters (so far). I'll be on the lookout for chapter 3...

I'm really enjoying this, it is incredibly well constructed and the fact there is so much game play for free is fantastic. My only problem is it's too hard for me! I have to watch the walkthrough to solve at least 50% of the puzzles. So I suppose I am scoring myself 4 out of 5 rather than the game. The 2 dimensions is a great mechanic and it's genuinely creepy in bits.

An overall good experience, the puzzles are smart. It just gets real tricky sometimes due to the limited area where you can click on an object to interact with. A lot of times I clicked on something and then left a room only to find out if I clicked on one specific point I could get another item. Minor issue but it can mislead and limit progress. Great game overall but

It’s not a bad game, but it’s not a great one. I just can’t give it more than 3 stars because it’s such a clear imitation of another game franchise. Everything from the art style to the layout of the user interface is like a rusty lake game but not as polished. It’s just not as smooth to swipe through and play, but the puzzles themselves aren’t bad.
