WOW!!! Okay let me start off by saying this is simply incredible!! This game looks better on apple devices than it does on console. There are so many options to choose from to enhance the graphics and frame rate. This game runs at a smooth 60fps but can be lowered if need be. Epic graphics on a phone port of Battle For Bikini Bottom is incredible to me! I’m glad I decided to try this out and I do not regret this purchase. I was afraid it would be a bad port but I am sold. It runs so smooth, and the graphics are absolutely insane and all for only 8.99$. The touch screen controls aren’t too hard to learn but I would recommend a xbox controller to make it easier. There are some issues with the opening cinematic where the voice acting doesn’t match up with the mouths moving BUT that’s okay because the rest of the game is so polished and smooth! Well Done!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend this to any Spongebob fan! It’s nice to relive your childhood in all this mobile glory. Well done job Handy Games! Literally blown out of the water at how well this was done.

Surprisingly, the game runs better on mobile platforms compared to Nintendo Switch. Overall, the whole experience is just as crisp and smooth like the original game that released in 2003. Satisfying platforming physics and combat, nice interactions and great challenge make this a worthwhile experience. If you’re going to go into this game thinking it is a real remake, then you will be left disappointed, since it is really just the old game with an HD paint job. Overall, it is still a very enjoyable experience and I honestly think it is still the best Spongebob game in existence. I do have a few suggestions though, one is having an option for a fixed camera mode and the other is being able to customize button layouts on screen. Overall, fans of platformers and Spongebob should really check this one out.

This is my first time writing a review on any app, and I’ve had the App Store for 6-7 years! I played this game when I was a kid for hours and missed playing it. I was shocked to find it in the App Store after playing it on my friend’s switch. I bought it right away, plugged in my rotor riot controller and beat this game in 6-8 hours. I don’t remember this game being so easy and short, but then again this game was made for kids. The most difficult part of the game was definitely Spongebob’s Dream. It is satisfying to destroy enemies and collect the shiny objects. The graphics look amazing on Max settings on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. No lag or slowdowns at all. I highly recommend this game for any one reliving their childhood.

The graphics look amazing! Unfortunately the game won't play right. The intro song plays to a black screen. The sound is not in sync with video. Sometimes the video stops but audio continues. The game also freezes very quickly. I'm patient enough to see if it unfreezes and sometimes it will after about 30 seconds or so but at some point it freezes again. Also sometimes the right bottom corner turns all black (1/4 of screen). Quality settings: Low Device: Galaxy Tab S5E. Can someone please help?

Running this on a Snapdragon 865 (Poco F2 Pro) with all settings maxed at 60fps, there's no performance issues except for the occasional stutter in the Jellyfish fields level. The black screen issue is more frequent now, especially during intense fight scenes and twice now during the Krusty Krabs level in SpongeBob's Dream. Also, if I lock/unlock my phone with the game running in the background, the screen appears to be squished, including all on-screen controls.

This game is so fun and the team that ported it to mobile did an awesome job. It runs at a smooth 60fps on my OnePlus 8 Pro.

Gameplay is great for a mobile port of this cult classic, but I only have 2 issues about it so far: 1. Knowing that the console hotfixes has the Krabs Spatulas fixed to the original game's values, it's hard to go back to how Rehydrated was originally released and get the extra Shinies, so a fix on this would be great! 2. It would be great if there was an extra action button for the "Sneak" mechanic, like in the console versions, as the Virtual Joystick input makes it very difficult.

Great port. Only problem I have is Sandy occasionally takes off with her lasso like a helicopter, forcing me to restart because she goes up to the game ceiling and just stays up there flying around. Oh well. Its new, so hopefully they continue to work out the bugs.

I would recommend this game to kids or those who were kids when they played the original. The game ran very well on low settings and 60fps on my pixel 4a. The visual style looks great and I ran into no visual stuttering or frame drops. I did encounter a few glitches like in bikini bottom square I ran into a ledge with sandy and she started lassoing indefinitely and I had to restart the game to fix it. This game is pretty fun. The game is not very hard but I had fun and had minimal issues.

Using an iPhone 7 and it runs great. My only issue is it doesn’t recognize my Bluetooth game pad I originally bought for Minecraft. Hopefully you guys work a bit more on gamepad support I understand it’s a new release I hate using touch controls ! Anyway good work, please I just want to play it with my controller Edit: I tried my game pad again after a few days of playing touchscreen and it works flawlessly. Great game looks beautiful. I don’t have the nostalgia a lot of people do for it I’m 29 and never heard of it, so my review isn’t clouded by nostalgia. Anyway love it thanks for the port I hope you do more

Would love to give this a proper 5 stars but I cannot. Playing off a LG V40 and its runs amazingly on the highest settings. Ran into a problem using a wireless Xbox controller. The RB button doesnt work properly and only opens the map and the right thumbstick doesn't move the camera. Not sure if a common issue or just my controller. Edit: Works perfectly with a PS4 Dualshock but still not with an Xbox controller.

This game is seriously rage inducing, This game makes me want to throw my phone at a wall. Everything looks amazing and there’s an awesome nostalgic feel but I seriously feel like they chose style over substance. Here’s an example of an unrealistically difficult level. In SpongeBobs dream the Krusty Krab level is just impossible. For the consoles I imagine it’s easy because it’s easier to control with a controller other than 5 buttons smushed together on your phone. There’s no way to maneuver SpongeBob through that level. It’s just impossible to the point that I gave up completely. And this game is made for kids. Also not every level is like this there’s just a few that are way more difficult than the others.

This game looks fun but when I try to press the jump button and others once, it doesn't work. I have to repeatedly press jump button many times and I am not ready to move once the character actually jumps. And it isn't just the jump button where this is happening. The same bug is happening with other buttons in the game where I have to repeatedly press on it until it eventually works. I don't think it is my phone because it is on the high end (Samsung Galaxy S10). Pls fix this bug.

The game itself is a load of fun, played this version on multiple consoles/devices now and the mobile version is the best when it comes to loading screen times, very fast. My big problem was the frame rate, I would have it running in 60fps and the game runs terrible, pretty much 15fps. Im using a Galaxy S20 so I was thinking it would run as smooth as butter but I was wrong. It also heats up my phone a lot when playing so I wouldn't want to play it for more than an hour.

I CANT SAVE MY PROGRESS!!! It keeps saying 'Error, game cannot be saved' EVERY TIME I TRY AND SAVE. Obviously this is seriously annoying and needs to be fixed ASAP. I loved this game years ago and replaying it is great. I'm using the latest Samsung device and yet the game is so laggy and the frame rate keeps dropping on 60fps max settings. Considering I paid £8.99 for this, I would like the game to run as best as it could
