Poor, confusing and expensive Sep 25, 2021

The game is poorly developed. Expensive to play, every time you die you have to purchase the gems which are over priced. The skills/upgrades are confusing and not clearly marked. Very frustrating levels, once you die you start the whole level again or buy those over priced gems. Any upgrades require purchasing and buying ships again are expensive and a total rip off!! more

This game is actually better than I was hoping for. Great multiplayer modes, loads of single player variations, tons of ships and mini ships and unlockables. Simple controls, smooth animation, nice graphics and sound. Optional rewarded ads. And you can completely enjoy the game without paying. However, there are whales and you will get matched with them in pvp. But even if a whale wrecks your score, you still have a blast wrecking the baddies. This game is a real gem. more

By and large I enjoy this game. That said, it's a bit heavy on the pay-to-win end of things. There are some of the resources needed to upgrade to the higher levels that are extremely rare without paying. Once you hit a level of difficulty where you're struggling and no longer get first play rewards it can take a ton of play time to progress. There is an option to get gems for ads, unfortunately it only appears during the campaign and not on endless mode and doesn't supply other resources. more

I lost track how long I’ve been playing this game, about 3 years. I love this game. I have downloaded several other games to give them a try and I always eventually delete them in short time and return to my favorite action play. While there’s a lot of hand eye coordination the play is quite simple. Kill everything and avoid getting hit by dropped bombs. Not at all a pay to play which I love. However I like this game so much I feel it’s important to support the makers for entertaining me. Some of the hardcore ships absolutely cost money, but success is easily earned on other paths without paying for them. I had 2 of my ships mistakenly locked. I contacted the command post and after displaying proof of ownership they promptly unlocked them. It’s like getting a girlfriend back. I felt very well supported. Thank You Command Post. more

**Update** I commend the customer support team for reaching out and being transparent about their efforts to bring prices down and make more content available. Good on them for communicating and genuinely trying to keep players/consumers happy! It really is a fun game overall and I can see that they’re making efforts to listen to feedback and improve. Improving my rating because of great customer support. Original review: Overall a really cool fun game. However it’s very hard and very expensive to upgrade your ships. And it only gets incrementally very expensive and hard to upgrade your ships unless you spend tons of actual money. PVP mode is kind of ridiculous because you can do everything right and assuming that the player you’re against is playing the same map, somehow they’re jumping thousand of points ahead? Also they seem to match you against people who clearly pay a ton of actual money to upgrade their ships. Which is really unfair. more

Good game, reminiscent of Galaga. Ads are optional. I was on a roll doing really well for free, about to finish another Boss and thinking about coming here and giving it at least a 4 star rating, when the game screen blacked out for a split second (was not my connection) and came back with a laser from the Boss Destroying my ship before I could react. Will keep playing for awhile to see if that happens often. If so uninstall if not more stars. more

I’ve been playing this game off and on for a couple years now. I’ve really enjoyed the updates and additions over the years from when I first downloaded the app. There is only one thing I can’t stand and that’s the “option” of the other ships falling during the game. Its terrible for me because I’ve spent time and money upgrading the ship I want and there’s been very few occasions when switching ships has benefited me. So the abrupt change usually kills me because the other ships aren’t as convenient or upgraded as the one I like. If I wanted a different ship I would have chose it from the beginning or paid for it. And sometimes theres no way to avoid them if you are trying to avoid something else. I do see the appeal in the feature for some but it would be better if that was an optional one for all. more

I would of gave this game 5 stars due to the fact that it isn’t a pay to win even though there is in game purchases and ads. Game is smooth, concept and layout is great. Haven’t been around long enough to see if there is any online events but I’ll keep an eye out. Last but not least, some recommendations would be FULL SCREEN SUPPORT FOR THE IPHONE X with an option to toggle it on and off based on personal preference. PVP could be better or more exciting if there was more battle information other than the ship type and score. Wave details, end game bonus score multiplier for x amount of ship changes, meteors/gifts destroyed, and power ups attained . More PVP game mode information. IE if your ship has the personal stats based on lvl. Other items, like side ship lvl up cards, etc in the PVP store. more

The game is fun but I don't like that when you lose a wave in a level it takes you all the way back to the first wave of that level. If I made it to wave six and then lose, I have to start over at wave one. Its very frustrating. Replaying the same waves is boring. Time to uninstall. I don't have the patience for that. You lost 2 stars due tofrustration. That is a shame because I liked it enough to pay for upgrades. more

Level 15 and 16 bosses so far game freezes! Level 15 I got so frustrated I went to delete the app but noticed there was an update and after I did update it let me continue to play. Now I'm at level 16 and it's doing same thing but there's no update. There's no of contacting customer service so now what???!! I spent MONEY buying upgrades and now I'm out that money??!! This is an awesome game, but with no customer service support and game freezing like this makes it a complete RIPP OFF!! I hope someone from customer service fixes this in next day or so before I delete the app and have to check out through the trouble of disputing my charges with credit card company. I'm not going to lose money still on the table because you don't have a customer service department to help us. more

UPDATE: So the developer responds but customer service is still being EXTREMELY unhelpful. I am telling them that I am not receiving my complete rewards for my subscription and they keep stalling with the same excuses say even saying that they don’t have that anymore. I sent them the screenshot of my purchase that I received from Apple and then they just say I have to claim it, BUT ITS NOT WORKING!!! And then they ask me again for the screenshot I already sent. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. if I continue to not receive my complete rewards I’ll just ask for a refund. The customer service is always very rude, and unhelpful. They never seem to know what I’m talking about. Yesterday I just sent an email asking for a reward that I did not receive. I mistook treasure chest for galaxy chest and that was enough for the customer service rep to just say: “We don’t have those anymore, we changed them for galaxy chests”, instead of checking their records for my purchase, which was for this month. I would like receive my complete GALAXY CHESTS, and please train your customer service reps to properly respond to people. It’s always an unhelpful error short answer and whenever I try to explain in details it’s obvious by their response they don’t even read, or they just don’t care. more

The game itself is fun. Takes me back to playing in the arcade. However the 1 star rating is due to the excessive advertisements that pop up in the game! Remove the ads and it would be perfect! Developer's response claims ads aren't forced yet anytime there's a pause in game play such as level changes an ad/vid pops up that you have to wait at least 30 seconds to be able to skip it. This in itself is intrusive!! more

When attempting to sync my progress from the iPad version to the iPhone version I lost almost my ships including mini ships for some unknown reason as it retained my vip rank, campaign progress, and pvp history. I lost ships you only get from playing pvp(wakanda), those ships & mini ships unlocked by watching videos, and ships & mini ships I bought with money which is the biggest thing as I spent actual cash to get these ships. Thankfully despite their records incorrectly saying the account was relatively new(they were skeptical as to how I had certain ships requiring play time or pvp experience due to my supposed account creation date) the support technician I spoke with managed to restore/unlock all my main ships(not any of my mini ships or the upgrades to my ships sadly). Then when I opened the app on a different device(iPad) it synced that versions across both devices(iPhone & iPad) erasing everything they’d managed to restore essentially putting me back at square 1. I apologized for wasting their time after saying it’d been erased again...then they replied saying they hoped I enjoyed the game more going further. Money and time down the drain apparently as it seems like those things are lost forever. I’m never playing this game again. more

I'm currently still playing this game because the fun outweighs it's issues, but I can't recommend it because of Space Shooter's many flaws. Material your earned either isn't added or, more often, is completely unaccessible (silver badges). Plus, while the variety of ads does make it tolerable, so many are of porn games. I could go on with the server connection issues, lack of tech support (ie "coming soon"), and reoccurring pvp glitches; but I'm out of space. I just can't recommend this game. more

Only way to advance in this game is to spend money. If you want to waste a ton of money trying to stay competitive then this game is for you. It would not be a bad game if it was not constantly asking for money. There is no way you can beat anyone that has spent money on power ships. Free ships are not strong enough to win. In PVD mode you are way ahead in the score the entire game and as the game ends you lose. It’s a joke. They want you to spend more to win Their response is the same to everyone. They fail to admit that the more you spend the more others who chose not to spend money have no chance at winning. I have been ahead over 20,000 points at the end of a game and still lose. This game is a joke. Don’t get taken. Again you avoid the questions. Why not just answer right here how it is that one can win a game by over 20,000 points and right at the end lose. I can tell you. It’s the people who are paying a bunch of money. Don’t say you can get quality ships and points by waiting ads. That’s your answer every time. You also constantly say you can buy. That’s my point. If you don’t buy you don’t win. more

I had a ridiculous amount of coins, ships, upgrades, progress on the map, stuff I’d bought, etc, that the newest update just blanked all of it out. Still has my pic and profile but everything else is reset to zero. It’s all gone. I spent many months across a few years getting as far as I did. I’ve really enjoyed this game - it’s very fun and challenging, and the graphics and sounds are fantastic. But I don’t think I have it in me to start over from the very beginning at ground zero and go through all of that again - just for it to possibly wipe me out again with another future update. This used to be 5 stars for me. It’s with a heavy hand I’m even giving it 2 stars now since all of my time, effort, money, and countless hours of watching in-game ads was, at this moment, absolutely for nothing. Did I enjoy playing it? Absolutely. It’s a very fun game. But I’m incredibly disappointed to see all of that vanish in the blink of an eye, with no recourse to recover it. more

This game is terrible!! You can't be successful unless you "pay to play". And just to be able to play for free, the amount of ads you have to watch is insane! There are a lot of other games similar to this you can download. Definitely avoid this one! It's way more complicated than it needs to be, and again, it's designed to make you pay or keep you constantly watching ads. Most levels last 1 to 1.5 min and then you end up watching 2 thirty second ads. Definitely not worth it!! more

QUIT PLAYING THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY! I used to love this game and played every day for 2 years. I purchased a couple of ships in this game and sometimes when they have an app update, I lose my ships that I have spent a lot of time and money to upgrade. I have to notify support each time and go through the process of showing them my receipt, Recently at the last upgrade, I notified support when I lost my Thunder ship and they actually accused me of using a fraudulent receipt. They asked me if I got the ship right away or if someone added it for me. It was over a year ago. How the heck am I supposed to remember?!? So I responded that I got it right away and they said there’s no way I could have done that. I emailed them copies of all my Apple receipts and they ignored it. It’s their responsibility to keep track of players and what players spend. If they can’t do that, how can you spend money on a game that has these flaws? So after 2 years, what a complete waste of time and money!! Play it for free if you want, but NEVER SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME OR YOU WILL LOSE IT!! more

Fun game, it does give options besides paying to level up, but that would take a long time. I'd probably spend money on the game but what they ask for in $, and what you get is too low to make a dent on leveling up. You need 200 cards to level up but it is $50 for 60 cards! Make that say $5, and i bet i would have spent $50 and would still be playong the game. Fix your pricing structure more

It’s breaks my heart seeing all these bad reviews that r not true. This game is so great, as it is complex and has so many ways to play and earn. This game has so much stuff in it that u can’t get to the end! U can just play forever with enjoyment and not worry all. This game gets better and better as some time goes on. Honestly the updates r the main cause. Like literally this is game is so good I can’t stop playing, daily rewards and this game itself make it the best game ever. This game can be played by a three-year-old or maybe a teenager that’s an adult and a beautiful person that’s smart enough to play with ships if little kids like playing with chips then they will play until their parents are gone to sleep and you will be happy that you’re a little one has played a ship game that will teach him how to shoot different animals and bumblebees and every kind of animal that he would learn about our flying animals. This game is really fun and you can play the single player portion without spending anything. If you want to do well in the PVP section that is where things lean strongly to the 'pay to win' approach. The developer is pretty good about fixing problems quickly. The ads have become pretty ridiculous but you only have to watch them for 'freebies'. Its a solid shooter that you can play for a short time or long and enjoy it either way. more

I’ve been playing this game every day since I saw it on my wifes phone about seven months ago. She hates me for spending so much of my time on it but it’s the only game that I can enjoy the time with. I’ve deleted all social media off my phone so its all I got. HOWEVER. I really want to let go of a few ships. I get these useless ships on the pvp that don’t do anything but drag me down. I thought they would be cool so I spent gems and coins to beef them up but they’re still crap. There should be a “redeem” option where you can sell back your ship for gems/coins that has been spent into it. Please look into this! more

I’ve been playing this game off and on for a couple years now. I’ve really enjoyed the updates and additions over the years from when I first downloaded the app. There is only one thing I can’t stand and that’s the “option” of the other ships falling during the game. Its terrible for me because I’ve spent time and money upgrading the ship I want and there’s been very few occasions when switching ships has benefited me. So the abrupt change usually kills me because the other ships aren’t as convenient or upgraded as the one I like. If I wanted a different ship I would have chose it from the beginning or paid for it. And sometimes theres no way to avoid them if you are trying to avoid something else. I do see the appeal in the feature for some but it would be better if that was an optional one for all. more

It's fun for the first hour or two, but then the bosses get too unpredictable and impossible to defeat without purchasing upgrades. Along the way, you need to figure out which ads are worth watching since there's an offer every three minutes. I don't understand 90% of the rest of the money sucking icons on the screen. It's a mine field. I'm uninstalling at this point. more

I really like this game, takes me back to the space invaders/galaga days, but the enemies have much better movements. Several ships to choose from, each with different weapons and ballistic patterns. LOTS of freebies, too many in fact. Some are hidden, some you watch ads for. Spin wheel, mystery boxes, progress, etc. All awards are released on a timer, most require you to have the app open to advance the timer. I’m ok with all that. The part that is frustrating is there are too many different currencies (I can think of 5) and if you don’t want to pay for them you have to play for days or even weeks to get enough currency to upgrade so you can play any level past 5. Currency packs are as high as $99! Absolutely crazy. more

My dad put me on to this game. I was a little skeptical at first because space ship games aren’t really my cup of tea, I’m more of an rpg/fantasy adventure game kinda guy. I gotta give it to the game designers for space shooter. Love, love, LOVE the fact that I can upgrade multiple items and share things with my guild members. If I had to give you guys any suggestions and feedback on my experience, I would have to say it’s that someday in the future there should be another gameplay mode that would involve joining in on missions with other guild/league members, but the round would include both shooters on the screen at the same time.....now THAT would be epic and worth more time out of my day to shoot these alien bogies out of my galaxy more

This game is pretty entertaining, a good mix of challenging but hits a roadblock at level 10. You can play w/o buying stuff for early levels, not that they don't try to get you to spend. Ads are offered as second chances and to earn items - reasonable trade-off. Complaint: it is tough to see what resources you've earned in the game, and you have to guess what you have. Lots of graphics on the control board, but good luck interpreting it. more

The gamification is solid and keeps me coming back, even if it’s just to collect awards. But they are everywhere. So scattered, in fact, it’s easy to lose track of everything. There’s so much of it, and you upgrade so slow, that you could be playing for ages for free, and it quickly goes stale. I get it, they want you to buy stuff, and I have, but I could be spending a lot of money to not get very far. That said, it’s one of the few games I’ve justified spending a little money because I e enjoyed it so much. I just wish that it can move me a little faster. It’s starting to get old how much I’d have to play or pay to advance quickly enough to outpace my attention. more

I was on chat seeing people i said hi everybody they replied to me hi then a guy sent me a message it think his name was razas ihe said “why didnt you reply” well thats another whole story there. He asked me “whats ur name” and i said “Alex” he said where do u live” this is the part were i had to lie i said china even tho i dont know chinese i deleted the app downloaded it again he was still there i was having had a heart attack i was so scared i was creeped out i couldnt take it anymore i was so scared for this now i cant play because of that he keeps asking me weird question and seriously help more

Definitely enjoyable, make sure to get in on the events and pvp, the rewards are very long term for gaining the good stuff. The match system leaves something to be desired unfortunately but not a big deal, wish the sales would apply to the gem purchase price for the mini ships. And lower prices for the equipment would be glorious as it would seem the only remotely possible way to get it is to buy it and not cheaply either. Be cool to have the possibility of acquisition without paying cash. Aside from that been playing for months and still enjoy it Most the time. more

It’s a fun game, definitely challenging but not so much that you need to go break the bank on spacecrafts. They frequently offer to use a higher level ship if you watch an ad so that’s nice. There are a few bugs in the menu though. Don’t worry, they made sure all the menus for in app purchases work, but the buttons that give daily rewards, progress rewards, and their wheel of prizes will all of a sudden stop working. It doesn’t stop you from progressing in the game but it does take away some of those freebies. I give it a 4/5 more

By and large I enjoy this game. That said, it's a bit heavy on the pay-to-win end of things. There are some of the resources needed to upgrade to the higher levels that are extremely rare without paying. Once you hit a level of difficulty where you're struggling and no longer get first play rewards it can take a ton of play time to progress. There is an option to get gems for ads, unfortunately it only appears during the campaign and not on endless mode and doesn't supply other resources. more

Good game, reminiscent of Galaga. Ads are optional. I was on a roll doing really well for free, about to finish another Boss and thinking about coming here and giving it at least a 4 star rating, when the game screen blacked out for a split second (was not my connection) and came back with a laser from the Boss Destroying my ship before I could react. Will keep playing for awhile to see if that happens often. If so uninstall if not more stars. more

The game is fun but I don't like that when you lose a wave in a level it takes you all the way back to the first wave of that level. If I made it to wave six and then lose, I have to start over at wave one. Its very frustrating. Replaying the same waves is boring. Time to uninstall. I don't have the patience for that. You lost 2 stars due tofrustration. That is a shame because I liked it enough to pay for upgrades. more

An OK game. You have to watch ads in order to get extra spins on the wheel or extra items or extra play time. If you want to level up you'll have to either watch ads or buy equipment. Just Realized I would need to complete 50 more nearly impossible levels at the equipment level I currently have to get the next major upgrade. I'm going to go find myself another game. more

Can be frustrating. Takes a while to learn all the ins and outs of the game. Still learning new things. Some of the changes/updates are bad. Lots of cheaters out there on PVP. You are winning the round all the way through but suddenly they are able to score 20K points in the last few seconds. Or they jump out to a 15k point lead in the first 10 seconds of the game when it is normally impossible to score that high that fast. more

Love the actual play of this game. It’s super addictive!! My only problems are the interface and all the ads. There is very little explanation on how to gain all the badges and ways to upgrade your ships. You earn a badge in one place but then need to move elsewhere to actually collect it. You need certain badges to upgrade your ships but there’s no explanation on how to earn those badges. The ads are horrible. You need to watch ads over and over again and at times you’ll have to stop play..either because the ads will freeze your game and you’ll have to reboot or it’ll say that there are no videos available, so you need to try over and over. I’d be willing to pay a monthly subscription in order to avoid all the ads. more

On any given day (for well over 2 weeks now), the majority of the extra features — team, email, arena, PVP, etc. — which are really key features, don’t work. You tap on them and it just says “under maintenance” after an annoyingly long “loading” screen that you can’t dismiss. Today I tried to make a purchase, authorized my card….and nothing. It sat there “processing” for 30 seconds then the processing screen went away and i was back in the “make purchase” screen. Was my card charged? No idea. But I know I didn’t get the skin I bought. Glitches aside the standard gameplay is fun. If you can tolerate a single-note gameplay because all of the additional play modes are routinely inaccessible. more

The game was great until they done this new update that affected the Galaxy Chests. You could get a bunch of Galaxy Chests with 9 red gems and do it as many times as you had red gems. Now you can get one Galaxy Chest for one red gem and you have to wait 30 minutes, or you can spend $4 for 20 Galaxy Chest. I'm sorry I'm not goin to pay that or any money for a Galaxy Chest. The ship cards you randomly get from a Galaxy Chest was the only way to upgrade your ship to a higher level now I'm stuck with crap ships and a level that I have been unable to defeat for many months now. Without being able to up my ships strength to progress any further on the game it has lost it's luster. more

I write this review like it really matters LOL... Call me cheap that’s fine, but I don’t spend money on games. I don’t mind some ads. However, this game has a ridiculous amount of ads. You watch more ads than you get to play it seems. I like this game a lot, but I’m thinking there’s more than me not paying the 99 cents so they have to punish us with more ads. I guess they’re making more off the ads than the actual game. Also, the bugs that need fixing. Finish a round of play then an ad of course then it blanks out and you lose what you just watched the stupid ad for?!?!??? Anyway... other than that great game! more

So I love this game, although the ads can be annoying at times , there is still ample opportunity to proceed and excel in the game. Past this one irritant I have yet one more to complain about. Regarding PVP competition, I assume that the other player and I are in fact playing the same exact screen however I have noticed at times when I was stuck in the very seemingly long asteroid shower that the other players points substantially counted upwards as oppose to my barely crawling point count. This can be very frustrating when before hand I had been thousands of points ahead of my opponent. What is up with this? more

I had a ridiculous amount of coins, ships, upgrades, progress on the map, stuff I’d bought, etc, that the newest update just blanked all of it out. Still has my pic and profile but everything else is reset to zero. It’s all gone. I spent many months across a few years getting as far as I did. I’ve really enjoyed this game - it’s very fun and challenging, and the graphics and sounds are fantastic. But I don’t think I have it in me to start over from the very beginning at ground zero and go through all of that again - just for it to possibly wipe me out again with another future update. This used to be 5 stars for me. It’s with a heavy hand I’m even giving it 2 stars now since all of my time, effort, money, and countless hours of watching in-game ads was, at this moment, absolutely for nothing. Did I enjoy playing it? Absolutely. It’s a very fun game. But I’m incredibly disappointed to see all of that vanish in the blink of an eye, with no recourse to recover it. more

Fun game, it does give options besides paying to level up, but that would take a long time. I'd probably spend money on the game but what they ask for in $, and what you get is too low to make a dent on leveling up. You need 200 cards to level up but it is $50 for 60 cards! Make that say $5, and i bet i would have spent $50 and would still be playong the game. Fix your pricing structure more

It has pretty cool graphics but it is way too easy. Like, I haven't died once since downloading and have played for a few hours. The enemies barely ever shoot at you and your ship autofires so you can pretty much afk and dodge a bullet every 10 seconds. Not so many ads but so many options to watch ads and it doesn't seem like upgrading your ship really does anything because everything is so easy anyways. I was looking for a challenge and was disappointed but I think someone casual could like it. more

Definitely my favourite space shooter app out there. It's fairly easy to get in game currency plus you can watch ads for currency and to get pretty powerful ships without real money. edit: it now constantly pauses the game and lags no matter what I do. I tried to calibrate my touch screen and the problem still persists. Only have this problem with this app more

The game is fun to play at first but when you get into the player-versus-player you realize there is a problem. Almost every player you are matched against happens to have a ship that cost $20 to purchase. They also have maxed out stats. So either it is faking player-versus-player characters in a manner that is almost impossible to beat or there is something terribly wrong with the matching process and just happens to match you with people who has spent a lot of money on the game. I have been playing this game for about 2 yrs. when I 1st started it was a simple free versions. Great chances at rewards. Great team options ( or so I thought) . Now they want your credit cards to be maxed out for ships. Everything is merging into something else in order to get to higher level you need these outrageous ships that are costing $1000 of dollars. Give us back the basic free items in our chests boxes and spins. The Facebook page is a joke. Players like Tyrone Evans Mike Silva Frazy get to verbally abuse demean insult and brag about stuff they have “earned” paying or hacking your way though a game is not “earning” anything. Getting tired of playing for hours just to receive nothing in return. more

Game is kind of fun. Nothing to go crazy about. But you won’t get far without spending cash. Plus, to get chests you have to spend gems - which are rare - but can be caught with real money. The problem is that when you open a chest you are presented with 5 cards to pick, and you get someone see on what card you pick. It could be something awesome or something weak like 5 coins. Can’t imaging spending money on gems to get a chest and then I pick a bad card and only get 5 coins out of it. Plus, of course, everything is overpriced so you can never actually play enough to get a good ship or a real upgrade. And - many items can only be bought with cash. more

You basically have to pay to play if you want to keep up. Even then there are glitches where some of your purchases don’t go through. I had to purchase something 3-4 times to actually get it and when inquired with customer service... good luck. They are continuously coming out with new events with awesome prices but the only way to actually get them is to purchase them. All in all it is a fun game but there is NO way for you to really advance without putting in hundreds of dollars. I would love a refund so I could delete the game but unfortunately I am a little too invested now to do so. more

This game was perfect. I used my free time often to watch ads to get bonuses in the game. However after the update now the ads auto play at random when on the Home Screen. Watching an ad doesn’t even give you the promised rewards anymore. Now instead of getting a second chance after watching an ad when you die you have to watch the ad and pay 2000 coins. And when the double your money option is up it doesn’t actually double your money for the board. Probably delete it this evening. I hate it when great game developers get greedy and ruin their games. more

The game is poorly developed. Expensive to play, every time you die you have to purchase the gems which are over priced. The skills/upgrades are confusing and not clearly marked. Very frustrating levels, once you die you start the whole level again or buy those over priced gems. Any upgrades require purchasing and buying ships again are expensive and a total rip off!! more

UPDATE: So the developer responds but customer service is still being EXTREMELY unhelpful. I am telling them that I am not receiving my complete rewards for my subscription and they keep stalling with the same excuses say even saying that they don’t have that anymore. I sent them the screenshot of my purchase that I received from Apple and then they just say I have to claim it, BUT ITS NOT WORKING!!! And then they ask me again for the screenshot I already sent. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. if I continue to not receive my complete rewards I’ll just ask for a refund. The customer service is always very rude, and unhelpful. They never seem to know what I’m talking about. Yesterday I just sent an email asking for a reward that I did not receive. I mistook treasure chest for galaxy chest and that was enough for the customer service rep to just say: “We don’t have those anymore, we changed them for galaxy chests”, instead of checking their records for my purchase, which was for this month. I would like receive my complete GALAXY CHESTS, and please train your customer service reps to properly respond to people. It’s always an unhelpful error short answer and whenever I try to explain in details it’s obvious by their response they don’t even read, or they just don’t care. more

The game itself is fun. Takes me back to playing in the arcade. However the 1 star rating is due to the excessive advertisements that pop up in the game! Remove the ads and it would be perfect! Developer's response claims ads aren't forced yet anytime there's a pause in game play such as level changes an ad/vid pops up that you have to wait at least 30 seconds to be able to skip it. This in itself is intrusive!! more

When attempting to sync my progress from the iPad version to the iPhone version I lost almost my ships including mini ships for some unknown reason as it retained my vip rank, campaign progress, and pvp history. I lost ships you only get from playing pvp(wakanda), those ships & mini ships unlocked by watching videos, and ships & mini ships I bought with money which is the biggest thing as I spent actual cash to get these ships. Thankfully despite their records incorrectly saying the account was relatively new(they were skeptical as to how I had certain ships requiring play time or pvp experience due to my supposed account creation date) the support technician I spoke with managed to restore/unlock all my main ships(not any of my mini ships or the upgrades to my ships sadly). Then when I opened the app on a different device(iPad) it synced that versions across both devices(iPhone & iPad) erasing everything they’d managed to restore essentially putting me back at square 1. I apologized for wasting their time after saying it’d been erased again...then they replied saying they hoped I enjoyed the game more going further. Money and time down the drain apparently as it seems like those things are lost forever. I’m never playing this game again. more

I'm currently still playing this game because the fun outweighs it's issues, but I can't recommend it because of Space Shooter's many flaws. Material your earned either isn't added or, more often, is completely unaccessible (silver badges). Plus, while the variety of ads does make it tolerable, so many are of porn games. I could go on with the server connection issues, lack of tech support (ie "coming soon"), and reoccurring pvp glitches; but I'm out of space. I just can't recommend this game. more

Only way to advance in this game is to spend money. If you want to waste a ton of money trying to stay competitive then this game is for you. It would not be a bad game if it was not constantly asking for money. There is no way you can beat anyone that has spent money on power ships. Free ships are not strong enough to win. In PVD mode you are way ahead in the score the entire game and as the game ends you lose. It’s a joke. They want you to spend more to win Their response is the same to everyone. They fail to admit that the more you spend the more others who chose not to spend money have no chance at winning. I have been ahead over 20,000 points at the end of a game and still lose. This game is a joke. Don’t get taken. Again you avoid the questions. Why not just answer right here how it is that one can win a game by over 20,000 points and right at the end lose. I can tell you. It’s the people who are paying a bunch of money. Don’t say you can get quality ships and points by waiting ads. That’s your answer every time. You also constantly say you can buy. That’s my point. If you don’t buy you don’t win. more

This game is terrible!! You can't be successful unless you "pay to play". And just to be able to play for free, the amount of ads you have to watch is insane! There are a lot of other games similar to this you can download. Definitely avoid this one! It's way more complicated than it needs to be, and again, it's designed to make you pay or keep you constantly watching ads. Most levels last 1 to 1.5 min and then you end up watching 2 thirty second ads. Definitely not worth it!! more

QUIT PLAYING THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY! I used to love this game and played every day for 2 years. I purchased a couple of ships in this game and sometimes when they have an app update, I lose my ships that I have spent a lot of time and money to upgrade. I have to notify support each time and go through the process of showing them my receipt, Recently at the last upgrade, I notified support when I lost my Thunder ship and they actually accused me of using a fraudulent receipt. They asked me if I got the ship right away or if someone added it for me. It was over a year ago. How the heck am I supposed to remember?!? So I responded that I got it right away and they said there’s no way I could have done that. I emailed them copies of all my Apple receipts and they ignored it. It’s their responsibility to keep track of players and what players spend. If they can’t do that, how can you spend money on a game that has these flaws? So after 2 years, what a complete waste of time and money!! Play it for free if you want, but NEVER SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME OR YOU WILL LOSE IT!! more

When I first installed the game, I did so, because I love arcade style, space invaders type games. The game was easily 30 days ago. The developer frequently updates the game. The difficulty increases with each app update. You get coins and gems for ship unlocks. Some levels are so hard, you can either watch an ad for a 2nd “free” turn or pay coins or gems for more turns. I beat the entire first planet and went back and played through it again. I beat it the first time with much effort and ads watching for free turns. Now there are some bosses that are too tough to beat that I previously beat! I’m stuck now, wanting to play and like the game, but it is heavily marketing ads driven. This is all about cramming products down your throat. Ugh! Fail! Fail! Fail! Fail! Stop doing this developers. You are ruining games. more

Just a couple examples of how incredibly greedy the developers are: 1. You will quickly need to level up your ship to progress. The game uses puzzle pieces. You need at least 160 pieces to upgrade. You can watch 5 ads to get ONE puzzle piece. One. 2. When you have "wingmen" ships, upgrading them increases their damage output by like 0.2! Literally less than 0.1%! And those upgrades quickly get expensive if you are trying to acquire them through game play. Avoid greedy developers at all costs. more
