There are few things more fascinating than space. Children can learn all about our 8 planets, how stars are formed, and even get a digital view of our constellations. Kids can grow with an appreciation for the science behind the universe.

Whether you are 8 or 80, you will find this app fun and interesting. Not only does it give you lots of information about Venus and the other planets in the solar system, but it lets you play around with them. It's an educational and fun app in one.

Whether you want to learn about Saturn or the 1,000,000s of stars that are in the sky, this fun and educational app is one that you'll enjoy using. With many facts and some options that allow you to move the items around, it's fun for any age.

  • Great app, but... Apr 14, 2021

This is really a fantastic app, it was almost what I was looking for to explore our own solar system. I think the mechanics and representations are great, the only reason I can’t give five stars is that what I was hoping to see and learn more about was the other moons of the planets. I appreciate the fact that even the dwarf planets are represented already, but Jupiter and Saturn are only represented with a handful of moons here, where, in reality, each has 53 confirmed moons and many more provisional moons. I was really hoping to see their orbit and and the encyclopedia detail provided for the other entities that already exist in the app (even if what is known about them is limited - if there isn’t enough information to represent them in the model, they should at least be listed as such in the planet’s moons with whatever minimal detail is available... representing the lack of information is just as important to curious minds). So, ultimately, I’m wishing for more detail... but, I don’t want to detract from how great this app is for what is already in there.

Could have been better. Yes its good to look at but don't get that much more when buying the upgrade. Also when I select the show spacecraft setting, the planet Earth disappears completely from view when you tap on 'explore Earth' option. I reconfigure settings but still happens. Nice addition to my space app library and has some useful star system layouts but average overall for me.

This is the best app I have ever experienced in my entire life! My intelligence about space increased by at least 45%. I love this app so much, that I am going to keep it forever. Solar System Scope has taught me so many things about space in just one day! I love how realistic it is. Literally the stars, planets, and other things look so real! You guys did a good job, and I appreciate it. One thing I wish the app could do is: Visit Messieurs. I wish it could be able to go to the Messieurs so you can see them up close, and clearly. It would be so beautiful and cool to be able to see the Messieurs up close (Visit). If you could try updating it so you could be able to see other things like Messieurs, Comets, and Satellites, that would be great. Another last thing I wish the app could do is: Exploring other Galaxies! That would be so great, I would never delete the app in my life! If this app could visit other Galaxies, it would be so Awesome, everyone would have it. But other than those two things, the app is incredibly amazing!!! Great job you guys; you have changed my view about space, and the Galaxy. Thank You

A MUST BUY IF YOU LOVE SPACE. The amount of information alone on just the planets and moons is staggering and accurate, but you can also view comets, spacecraft, constellations and much more. You can also change the date to see where everything was at the time. So far my favorite moment was changing the date all the way back to the '80s and seeing where Voyager 1 and 2 were (they are now in interstellar space some 44 years later). This program is seriously cool!

I have used the website and now this app for years and I’ve learned a lot from it. My biggest frustration is I have always wanted to zoom in on the part of earth facing the sun to see its position. You can sort of see it from behind the sun but always you’re left with wanting to zoom in to get a closer look. There are some zooming features but it always seems like a frustrating experience and it blocks you from getting it exactly where you want it. Other than that, it’s been a really useful website/app over the years.

Amazing! Just Amazing! To the Scope Team..... Bravo! I truly thank you for creating this app. Giving us the ability to explore and learn and it also reminds us how spectacular our universe truly is. Our planet needs major healing and fast. I encourage everyone to live a more minimalist life and remember to always Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Our planet needs us to change! Plastic useage is destroying our oceans and mother earth is choking on the amount of waste our country Lets save our planet!

I was only looking for a map of the solar system and how it would look a few months in the future. Oh wow was I underestimating this app. It has tons of stars, moons, planets, detailed maps and guiding points, and more! Some things are a bit too much at times, but never fear! The video settings lets you toggle what things you want to see! It shows you the perspective from earth’s orbit, all the way to the whole Milky Way galaxy fitting on my screen! This is an amazing way to plan for things like viewing planet conjunctions, as well as just exploring the visible universe up close! My only suggestion is making it so that you can lock on to nebulas like you can other objects, as well as maybe making a free look mode where you can fly through the universe without having anything locked on to. Thanks so much for a great app!!

Solar scope is an AMAZING game for learning about space and there is no ads also DO NOT BUY ANYTHING in the shop that cost real money because you already have those items and some of the items you don't have are unless because you can already see the whole galaxy. Also update the thing you could buy because the things you could buy are useless. But what's my final opinion? It's great because you can learn and you don't have to buy anything so great game!

The designer of the game asked me to write a response about zooming in and since my email is quite working here I am. Anyways, you should be able to zoom in on other planets but when you try to zoom in it’s just zooms in to the sun. If we could do that we could look a constellations better, view planets better and so much more. Even when you look at the galaxy the only place you can really zoom in is towards the sun. If we could zoom into the earth and see where it’s day and where it’s night without having to click view, it would save so much effort and experience. So uh thanks for reading, hope you take my ideas into thought.

So, i purchased the desktop version for Windows, i purchased the iPad Pro and iPhone iOS version, i purchased the 3d models of the solar system upgrade pack, and....nothing? Your software doesn't work. On iOS, it won't even open. As i said, it crashes on startup. (and i even went to the trouble of completely erasing my brand new iPad Pro 12.9 and reinstalling all its programs and resetting all its settings as a new device because i want to use your software.) I firts contacted your company about this months ago. I'm sure you folks are good people making a fun product, and i would imagine you take your work seriously, but if you take money from someone then don't supply the product that was paid for, that's a scam. It has been MONTHS ihave patiently waited for a resolution to this issue. I don't have anything i paid for from your company, (excepting the desktop Windows version, which works just fine.) And the one reply i got from you is just to say "thanx for the email"? It's been so long now that the software i bought from your company crashes on startup that i'm now on a newer version of the operating system, that being 11.4. I would expecteithera refund of my purchase price or some kind of resolution to the issues that prevent me from using the product i purchased from you. I await your detailed reply with answers to my inquiry.

When I first bought the app, you could view the solar system with the orbits close together so you could see how they compare. Now you can only see the natural planet orbits and you have to zoom way out. And it’s hard to compare the planet orbits because the planet size is too small and scale is too large in natural orbit view. I’ll give this app 5 stars if you bring that function back where you can see the planet orbits close together.

I've been studying astronomy for a few years now and just found this tool. it is amazingly useful and it the $3 in app purchase upgrade was totally worth it. I do wish that you could get information on stars. Furthermore, the app occasionally crashes; so that is something that should be fixed. The new app icon looks so much better; Thanks for taking my suggestion. [old- I also would like to see a redesign for the app icon.] Anyway, i would usually give this app 4 stars but since i haven't seen an app that looks, feels, and functions as well as this one and because it looks like you need a few more 5 star reviews I would love to help out by providing one.

This app is truly amazing . It is very scientific and you should use it to extend your brains 🧠 instead of having extra classes after school . You could earn constellations , what universe are we in ? And all kinds of stuff . Especially when you zoom out you can see that the galaxy is in the middle out of nowhere . And honestly, you can learn more details about the planets ( mercury , Mars Venus, earth 🌎 , Jupiter, Saturn Uranus , Neptune) . It is really simple kids .

This is a great app and well worth the upgrade within. Definitely recommend this for iPad for kids and adults! not sure how often updates happen but this seems to be missing comet C/2020 Neowise. Since this is visible this month, July, would be great to get that added!

Just downloaded and I like it already! There are some troubles though. It's hard to like, move around. Example is, you're at pluto and, you can't really move forward or backward. Haha Idk why I want that in this app. Maybe because it feels easier? Oh and the ads aren't really much a bother.

This app has many details, but could use some work. Examples: There are many comets and their orbits shown, and the comets look spectacular, but one I noticed was missing was the Hale-Bopp Comet that was clearly visible in the night sky in 1997. Even though this comet will not be visible in the night sky again for over 1000 years, it should be part of this app. Planetary and planet moon details are also limited and should be improved. Use Celestial as an example of how this app can be improved.
