I have had this phone number for 2 years. I have had many times where the line will only say my smart number and doesn't show the contact that I have saved. It never saves phone numbers that I saved to my phone or Sim, So if people call I have no idea who's calling it just shows my number. When I go and look at my tax every other day the contact name or races so I've no idea who I'm talking to. My phone will ring but sometimes text messages do not go through. Update - 2021 no vmails showing now

This app was great when I first got it over a year ago when signing up w/Go Daddy. It used to be able to effectively make and receive calls...now it FAILS!!! This app fails to do this correctly. Most of the time, when I receive a call from a potential customer, I just go ahead and tell them I'll call them back from my cell phone number they get frustrated and hang up or the app just drops their call. Guys you have 1M+ customers please develope this app a little more I'm sure you can afford it

After over 6 months, texting still poor
Texting is by far the worst feature of this application. Texts fail to send often enough where it is frustrating. I have written about this before with GoDaddy emailed support. However this review is how texts are received on the other end. After sending a longer text, about 6 paragraphs long with spaces between paragraphs (sent to more than one person), people on the receiving end told me that my texts are confusing and out of order. So that is confusing, I only sent one text. After getting a screen shoot from a receiver the text what is noticed it that each paragraph gets sent as a different text through SmartLine and get a label at the bringing of the text saying ‘2/6’ or ‘1/6’. So not only does the text not get received as one text but in multiple texts, they get received out of order. This never happens through messengers on phones. I am a Landlord and most communication with tenants are through texts, this SmartLine system is currently not a quality system when it comes to texting. And if your company runs heavy in the texting department SmartLine falls well short and is going to cause more frustration than help, just buy used smartphone on a normal phone carrier. This is just one of more than a few issues I have with SmartLine. -
Recently stopped downloading and sending notifications automatically. Until I read the latest reviews I thought it was something I did, and have been looking in my phone settings to find the fix. I have been using this app for my business for almost two years without issue, but now, despite settings, cannot get messages unless I refresh app. NOT GOOD!! Is it an update glitch, or new feature?? Whatever it is, please fix!

What a nightmare
I very recently bought this to use as a business line on my personal phone. The texting feature works great - shows business colleagues and clients my new business number . But as soon as I started using the app to make calls, it changes my business phone number to a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT number! Different City and State than my personal or business phone number. And the worst part is - the number it shows on people’s caller ID’s is one that’s blacklisted on the web for being a scammer phone number. This is so horrible! I now have business cards with my new number. And I can’t even return calls to my clients without a DIFFERENT NUMBER showing up - a junk solicitors phone number FROM A DIFFERENT STATE showing up on their caller ID?!. Spent over an hour on the phone with tech support, they can’t figure it out? Now I am waiting to see if someone else can fix the problem. They told me to give them 72 hours. I will update this post if the problem gets fixed. I NEED it to get fixed. This is a big and costly glitch. NOTE:::: This app is through ITunes which apparently isn’t affiliated with Godaddy directly. Which could be a problem for people. Esp when something goes wrong and Godaddy can’t even help you- they’re left emailing iTunes support. Just keep that in mind. Also, you cannot link this to your regular Godaddy billing. Very inconvenient.

App needs better improvement and updates
This app needs a makeover compared to other apps. Its like go daddy does not even care making the app better. You can clearly tell they just want your money -
I would Stay away from this app
Within 2 hours of installing this on my phone I have started getting wierd pornogrpahic spam texts I have never gotten before. I am absolutely disgusting and horrified but I shouldn’t be surprised a company like godaddy that had commercials that resembled soft core P. I have also ran a domain through godaddy years ago and that experience was awful too. From my experiences with the company I would rate them a -2/10 -

Problematic with IOS
I switched from android to iOS and app keeps telling me I need to purchase product. Deleting it another failure by godaddy. -
Not happy!
This is the second time that my number was blocked on my own SmartLine number and I know That I didn’t do it. Why would I? For some odd reason on my android and now on my iPhone it blocks my SmartLine number so when people call me they get some service saying it’s not a working number. This happened last year as well at the beginning of covid. I lost business then and got a bad review because of it and who knows how long this has been happening again and how much business I’ve lost. You guys need to have some kind of system check to make sure your paying clients aren’t paying for something they aren’t getting. I’m struggling as a business right now and come to find out it may be because of you. You guys owe me money!

Work in progress
I’ve had SmartLine for a couple years already. when they first offered it i purchased it. So I I thought it was a good idea to use for my business so I would know when a customer was calling for my business. My option It’s not the best, I’ve had problems where there’s been texts or calls from customers are just not in my call log, as a small business with competition you just can’t afford to miss any customers. Not only that most of my customers go to my voicemail 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ so I end up missing the customers they end up not needing me because they contacted the next business they found. The support keeps you on hold (most times) to long, so I don’t call them and the call log does show up at later time, but if I could rewind I wouldn’t use them I would find a better company so do your research. These guys gonna do research nobody has time for. -
I love the fact I could have a second number on the same cell phone but ever since I changed my plan to the yearly rate my service has gone down. I can no longer get incoming calls. I am only able to make outbound calls and text messages fail to send sometimes. I've tried to call but the customer service line takes hours to get to someone so I always end up hanging up.

I have gotten a lot of spam calls since adding this app. The spam filter does not work. The calls are annoying! Fix this! To those who need a business line you may want to be aware of this problem.

Version 4.20.0 does not work at all!
After reinstalling twice I still continue to get the same error message, “Error, no cellular connection. Please make sure you are in an area with coverage.” I have checked. Cellular works for all other apps, my actual cellular connection is great. Cellular is turned on for the SmartLine app in settings. Wifi has been tinted on and off, off and on, I’ve tried it each and every single possible way I could think of and still no outgoing calls work. Incoming calls work though, as does text messaging. But outgoing is a bust. This app is useless as it now stands, and I’ve just gone past my 7 day free trial period so I also had to pay GoDaddy $10 for an app that doesn’t work. I tried calling for support to no avail. Customer rep was nice but just as clueless as I now am, and when our call got disconnected after troubleshooting for 20 minutes, and then being put on hold while my rep went to try and find a resolution, I received no call back. So app gets 1 Star and support gets 1 Star. I pray that the reason my app is not working is that I’m simply doing something wrong but after troubleshooting by myself and with tech support for a while, I fear that this app is a buggy waste of money. Maybe 4.20.1 will fix it? Maybe 4.21.0? Can I wait that long to not be able to make calls though? Probably not. -
Worked great the first half year or so, after I got locked out and got back in, I don't get any of the calls. Its gets forwarded to my voice-mail immediately. I have have random people calling me saying I've been calling them when I haven't. It glitches alot.
