  • Fantastic App Aug 21, 2019

    By Electriccandle
This is a really basic app without a ton of bells and whistles, but it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Sorting photos into albums in the native Photos app on iOS was really irritating and time-consuming. This app makes it super easy—it shows you all of your unsorted photos one by one and you simply click the name of the album you want to put them in. Want to delete it? Just swipe up? Can’t figure out what to do with it yet? Just swipe left and it’ll hang out in unsorted photos until you do. You can also pin albums you use most frequently to the top of the list. You can also view and edit your albums on a different screen, allowing you to easily move photos into different albums or file one photo into multiple albums at the same time. For mass deletion of photos, I still use the iOS app. Unless there’s a feature I’m missing, which is entirely possible, deleting more than one photo in this app is a bit tedious. At any rate, I sometimes have to take hundreds of pictures in a day and was absolutely losing my mind until I found this app. Thank you!

Unless I'm missing a search term or something, if you love to make multiple pics of the same thing and then are usually too lazy to sort them into folders/trash afterwards (I usually favorite some, but still - too many) - this one's for you. 20k+ pics on this phone - it's such a huge backlog that doing it on the stock gallery app would take me years, lol. With this tho, I've already trashed ~400pics and sorted ~80 in 6 albums. Thank you.

Was originally worried about the privacy of my data the app was accessing - but the privacy policy showed that wouldn't be a problem. With over 10,000 photos of screenshots and pictures to go through - and the photos app in iPhone and Mac don't make it easy - this solved that 10,000 without a problem. All you have to do is swipe up to add it to a delete pile - you make your own albums and simply tap them to add the photo you're on to it. I haven't been asked to purchase anything yet and even if it does I'll buy it. I go through 200 photos easy when I have nothing to do or I'm waiting around. All of those 200 add up and I get to choose what happens to the photos. It's pain free, simple, easy to use, and is eye pleasing to look at. I generally dislike photo apps because they all try to throw in features you don't want or need which just complicates it. This app is simple and hassle free, and I'm incredibly glad it showed up first in the result for photo organizer. I'm seeing there is a reason for it too.

A lot of these programs make you copy the photos into a different database. This works on top of your iPhone database but lets you create new albums and sort the unsorted into albums. What iPhone albums does not do is let you see your photos that are not yet in an album. It works so well for that I gave it five stars BUT once folders are in albums they are not as easy to work with with this app. The great interface for the no-album photos goes away and there is a series of steps to sort photos. And strangely the photos that you move somewhere else stay where they are so it’s rather confusing. This would be perfect if they would have the same interface in all albums that they have for the files not in albums. So I still have a lot of photos now in the wrong album and this app does not help me move them.

Easily the best option for sorting through images, but due to the fact it hasn't been updated in years and likely never will be it has some bugs, some of which cause crashing, and the app will never get SD card support despite saying it will. Regardless it's still one of the best apps for this, I can only hope it one day gets the support it needs, or for someone to make their own version of the app.

This app is incredibly useful for people who collects hundreds of pictures a day and organize them after the day ends, the problem is that my files that needed organization reside in SD card and flashdrive; I can't use it yet and I guess I'll have to wait till SD card support gets implemented. Good app but not useful for some of us just yet, giving it 3 stars for now.

Ive had an IPhone with an the same account that is my apple ID for a minimum of 6 years. I have never really been that fascinated on any app that i am choosing for myself even if they have been great, except this one. I have been going through different photo/video storage app’s to find one that gets me and there has been a couple of goods ones I have come across. I honestly was relieve coming across this one because it is “manageable” and smooth for me that going through which pictures go in what album became fun. In the moment i feel like an “ah” sound came out and calmed me down, when it isn’t even close to hard how i am making it sound. It sure gets five stars from me. How funny would it be if this comment made it to the app page as the first review you see when you are scrolling down?

This is the app that I dreamed could exist, that allows me to quickly and easily organize my photos WITHIN my existing iPhone/iCloud storage ecosystem. I take photos or screenshots and I can quickly swipe to sort them into folders which automatically appear in my iCloud account. It is a genius app that solves a very real problem for those of us with thousands of photos that are difficult to sift through when you need a specific picture. So far the app has been very solid and integrates very will with iCloud. Thank you! My only suggestion would be the ability to swipe tags/keywords onto photos instead of putting them in separate folders. Alternately, the ability to easily add a photo to multiple folders (which then essentially work like tags).

First, why does the sorting start from scratch when I move away from the app? That’s not good. I don’t want to add *every* pic to an album. Some can just stay uncategorized in the photo roll. The problem is, I have to swipe through all of the uncategorized pics (that I’ve already swiped through and determined they should remain uncategorized) to get back to where I left off. Massively annoying. Why can I only see one pic at a time? I should be able to scroll through to find a starting point. Second, your ad implementation is terrible. I get having an ad every now and then. But there’s no way to dismiss the freaking ads! Why??? I have to quit the app, and restart, which brings me back to point #1 above. I need to re-swipe my way back through all the pics I’ve already left uncategorized. This could be such a great app, but man, these are two big issues.

  • Ok app, just a couple issues Sep 17, 2019

    By Kaitibug526
There should be a way in the main photo view to sort the photos from oldest to newest. I would prefer to go through my oldest photos first so that when they’re added to folders in my iOS folders they are in there oldest to newest (like when you sort them normally in iOS photos). I tried scrolling all the way down to my last photo and going from there, but then it defaults back to a picture I already passed (instead of the next photo to sort from oldest to newest) and would just randomly change all the way back to the newest photo causing me to have to scroll all the way back down to the oldest again, which was frustrating. Also wish there was a way to add each photo to multiple albums without adding it to one album and then going in to that one photo and adding it to the other albums from there. As someone with 50,000+ photos on their iphone, this is a handy little app, but I probably won’t really use it much more because of the issues listed above...

UI is perfect and exactly what I want, but I can't build off my existing folders on my phone and the folders created in the app stay in the app. This kind of defeats the whole purpose. For example I can't move the folders to a backup on my computer because they wouldn't be sorted anywhere except in the app
  • Deletes Folders Dec 27, 2017

    By Mariposa211
While sorting through the 200+ photos on my phone, I noticed that the app kept deleting folders that I would create. I did previously have this app then deleted it, so there are old folders on it, but that shouldn’t interfere with it. I deleted the folders and made new ones of them that were blank since I couldn’t sync the old photos that were in them. About ten minutes later, while sorting through my photos, those old folders came back and the new folders I had made disappeared. I keep making new folders and they disappear. I don’t know what’s going on with the app, but until this is fixed, it’s getting 1 star. Especially since I paid for the subscription and for the app to back up my photos.
  • Why no delete swipe when in albums?? Sep 20, 2019

    By audge218
Really wish you could swipe to delete when reviewing albums. Having to click delete and then yes makes it no different than the iPhone photos app. Also, wish you could so a smooth swipe like in the iPhone photos app so you could see the minor changes picture to picture. The swipe left to right as is is not good enough. Also, the premium price is expensive for only giving one new feature. ***Update to my review. Still feeling disappointed. This is a good app when you use it on your daily photos - which I do, but I have so many photos from months and years ago and it's so hard to navigate to those photos (I'd have to scroll 10,000 photos back....) AND if I get out of the app, it jumps me back to the beginning. 🤬 I COULD navigate around this issue if I organized the photos into folders through the iPhone photos app BUT I can't slide to delete inside albums. 😫 I freaking paid you for the premium version, how about you deliver with some premium features!?...
  • Deceptively simple Sep 9, 2019

Two bugs and one needed feature keep it from being great. First when I remove albums from the list at bottom by resetting albums, don’t scare one half to death by making it look like it’s not sorted anymore. Several ways could be fixed and coded. Needed as some of us have hundreds of albums and don’t want to have to keep them all on the slide section. Next, when I choose to add a new existing album and I’m on a photo in the middle of my 1000s of photos, stop, since taking me back to first photo. Painful. Last, since I’m using iCloud to sync photos across several devices. I use this app on them all. However each one shows a different list of what’s left to sort. All of this has me asking for a refund and seeing if another app has this down or perhaps I’ll just write one. Btw, had written customer support asking about a few times. No answer.
  • Advertising with audio in an otherwise silent app is unacceptable Apr 30, 2018

    By superthanksforasking!
This app is great at what it does, but the way in which ads play in the free version is beyond obnoxious. An app that is otherwise silent should NEVER start playing video and audio advertisements out of nowhere. People often use their phones to play audio on Bluetooth speakers, and people should feel safe in the assumption that any app which has *no independent sounds of its own* will not interrupt their audio stream with audio ads! Fix the ads so they are silent and the ad-supported version of this app will be a winner. Until then, thumbs down.👎
  • No landscape, no video play Dec 24, 2019

    By Woowoose
After all the reviews I gave this app a try and organized more than 1000 photos into over 40 albums. I really liked the simple ness of the app! I thought the fact that you couldn’t see photos in landscape view or see videos play would be something I could figure out from support. But no - this app doesn’t allow those things. You HAVE to be kidding me! Seriously I would like my money back. Now I need to start all over in another app.
  • Not for me. Single slide >10k individual pics-no multi-select Mar 9, 2020

    By Ckimple
Very very manual process where each and every pic needs processed by user. Nice interface and GUI, but connection to iOS slow, iCloud slower, and not worth the money. Also couldn’t find how to contact the developer directly to request a refund-so I resorted to requesting the refund here in a review. Poor mechanism for customer feedback and developer response. I really wish you all the best, but fix these things and provide a decent product to your users.

Good app for organizing and deleting photos. I like the interface. Even years after though, it’s still lacking the features that people are asking for, so I bumped this review down to 2 stars. Until these are added the subscription is just not worth it. • PLEASE ADD LANDSCAPE VIEW TO PHOTOS • Allow us to select a homepage the app opens to. For example, I want it to open straight to the Albums page instead of the Sort page.

I am a professional photographer and when I don’t wish to carry all my gear I use my phone to take pictures and videos. I upgraded to the version and have just flown through about 4,000 pictures and videos and sorted them in the albums I named for very easy access. Slidebox is a fantastic app and I’ve seen a countless number of photography apps and software. Slidebox is far and above any other that I’ve used for sorting my iPhone pictures! Don’t hesitate to try it and I highly recommend their $4.99 upgrade. You’ll be amazed and thrilled with its performance! Update June 1,2020: have used this incredible, user friendly app . I am now using it to sort pictures into folders for easy access. Don’t hesitate to try this app and soon after you’ll be thrilled!

Incredibly useful app for organising your photos. It's very fast and responsive. I've been using this app for months and months... You set some album names and a single photo from your device will appear large on your screen... Tap the album you want it in and then the next photo will come up (fast!). If a photo appears that you want to delete, swipe up on the screen and you will flick it over to the bin :D it's a bit like Tinder. Would highly recommend this app! Thanks Dev! A+++

I saw this had good reviews and filled a need of mine. Today is the first time I have used it and I was up and running in no time. Now I can find new homes for all those poor lost orphan photos hiding in my camera roll. BTW, an earlier reviewer expressed a need to sort a photo into multiple albums. I don't know if this is an update, but I found that selecting a photo from within an album allows you to assign it to multiple albums. People? Pets? People AND Pets! My own wish is for integration with Google Photos. One catch: if you want to go on a search and destroy mission looking for doppelgangers, this app is not what you need, although you probably need it anyway. The only way to do that is if they are adjacent or nearly so.

i think this app is great! way better than trying to individually sort photos in the original gallery app on ios. it was easy to get the hang of and i really enjoyed it at first. but then i realized it kind of got messy as i got to sorting, no problem though... i thought, i can just select the ones i want to move in a bundle.. but when i went into my first album i realized half of them needed to go into another album, and tried to select them like i normally would in ios- hold down on one, then select the others, then move... but that wasn’t the case. i had to go to each individual photo and not only chose to sort it in a different album, but i also had to make sure i unsorted it from the current album as well. and now i’m not really sure how to fix the whole album situation in the ios app because now i have like 30 albums. and just one more nit-picky thing... when i’m in the unsorted section, i’d prefer the albums not so spaced out where i have to scroll back and forth and back and forth because i keep passing the one i’m looking for... like i said, the app could use some work, but over all a great idea, and a very sophisticated set up.

This app does what it says it will do. The only thing that would make it a lot better is if you could select multiple pictures at a time. It would be so much easier if you could select them this way from your photos & again once you want to make extra or sub folders or change photos from where you originally put them. It is tedious to do it one photo at a time. And also if you could then select multiples or an album to print. Otherwise this is a great app & very useful. No glitches it does not freeze & works smoothly. Now if I can just figure out how to transfer it With all the data to my new phone. 🙂 I am not finding anywhere to sign in & retrieve the albums??
  • Great App, Sometimes Inconvenient Jul 27, 2020

    By InternetPerson BoiIiiIIIi
Great app, however I have suggestions to make it more user friendly. #1: if you accidentally sort a picture into the wrong album, and that picture was old, it will be organized way back in the album, making it hard to find and sort back. A “recently organized” feature would be nice. #2: The ability to select multiple photos in an album would be nice, especially if you accidentally sorted a bunch in the wrong album. With these minor inconveniences aside, it is a great app and I would recommend downloading it.
  • I love this app (could use a few more features) Dec 15, 2020

    By Jay_sproch
I freaking love this app! It’s helped me so much and I’m seriously considering buying a premium account however before I do so I would love the option the sort the opposite direction, as in start from your oldest picture and make your way to the front. I’d also love if there were options to change the main organize page and it’s layout, just something to make it easier to sort through when you have a whole lot of albums like I do. But overall great app and I highly recommend it!
  • Best app to triage iPhone photos Feb 4, 2020

    By NitNatNok
Really good small app to do exactly what it designed for. In 3 days I installed it I went through more photos in my iPhone then over all my years using iPhone. The only major shortcoming I found so far, that is worth other users to know, is that it doesn’t handle live photos well. Not only it lacks ability to play them, but it doesn’t even mark them as live. That’s creates a real risk of deleting great live photo that has mediocre final shot (or there is similar other photo), because you didn’t realize that it is live. I now go through my live photos in my backlog in iOS Photo app first and mark those that I want to keep as favorite to prevent its accidental deletion in this app. Another minor annoyance is that you can’t rotate phone to see landscape photos proper way. App only has vertical layout.
  • Love this app, would like to edit photos Aug 28, 2019

I'm a huge fan of Slidebox! It really helps me sort all my memes, inspirational art and screenshots in a quick & fluid way! But as far as editing I can't seem to get any photo editing app extensions to work on the fly so I have to sort unfinished pics into a separate folder to work on later. I'd at least love for Slidebox to work with iOS's native Markup or Photos app to do small edits but I haven't had any luck so far. If there's anything I'm doing wrong, please let me know!

I used the free version and was able to sort over 1000+ photos before the ads popped up. That was enough usage to know that this app was great to purchase. I now have organized almost 4000 photos in just a couple of days. I’m very happy with the ease of use. The bad part is that I have around 10 photos that won’t stay sorted. They show up every time I reopen the app. I emailed their support but never received a response
  • Ads & Fee Apr 1, 2020

    By msdddassas
Great app, however started pushing adds about 10 minutes after using. Asked if I wanted to upgrade for 4.99 one time fee to get better storage and no ads. No issues with that so I paid. Ads still continue coming. If I knew that was going to happen would not have paid 4.99. Other than that it is a great and convenient way to organize with albums.
  • Idea is nice; usability can be better Mar 22, 2020

    By eriktheswift
Allows you to discard or sort “unsorted” photo stream into albums. Still does not help you to select best-of-series photo. Adding a feature to allow you switching between sibling photos without animation (btw iOS Photos “swipe to browse” feature allows you to do it without animation but switching between apps/syncing context is hard)

  • Good idea, but some terribly annoying quirks Jan 27, 2021

    By sammadog

Would have been 5 stars, but the app doesn't work well on my new device. It doesn't move photos into folders sometimes, and I'll have to go and move them manually. I have a new Samsung S21+. The app always worked well on my old device, and I've been using it for years. Hoping this gets fixed so I don't have to get a new app.

Been using this app for a while and it's been great, but it leaves behind corrupt files every time you move a photo, and I didn't realize it was the culprit until recently, so now I'm having to manually delete thousands of old corrupt image files.

I very handy app. Very easy to sort, file and delete photos. Unfortunately when I came to review the photos in their albums blanks appeared in the matrix view of the folders even though the photos were there. Please fix if you can because I like the functionality of the app.

Very disappointed.my phone is too...new(?)I've heard of phone is outdated or too old, but too new(?). I can't give you a rating unfortunately, however, what your app offers would make an ideal photo organizer. I hope to try it some day, thank you
  • Not Quite As Good As I Thought It Would Be(By Fallout Boy) Nov 9, 2019

    By Anti_social_Butterfly
Well, it SEEMS great at first, but then you use it. It's great and all, but it said it would get rid of identical or similar photos, and not only did it not do that but it is making me hand-pick out them by myself…I'm not averse to doing that, but I've tried that before and I always miss a bunch of stuff, which is why I got the app, because I'm forgetful af and I download the same memes like five (5) times and it's Not Okay because it takes up my storage. And it gives me an ad and suggests I switch to Premium to not get ads every three(3) photos I sort. But I like the format, so…silver-lining!
  • Good, but one major missing feature Dec 18, 2017

    By heffphoto
I like the app overall.. good layout, speedy sorting, etc.. but it has one MAJOR flaw in my opinion and that is the total lack of support for landscape view. Seriously. In a photo app. No landscape view. And as a landscape photographer, this is particularly annoying as I can only view most of my image as a small portrait-oriented preview, rather than full size landscape as they're meant to be viewed. This unfortunately relegates the app to being used solely for sorting rather than my primary image viewer, hugely reducing its usefulness.

No answer.

  • Really? Jul 28, 2019

This app is totally useless for anyone who stores their photos on an SD card. Don't expect an update anytime soon...this app has not been updated in over 5 YEARS!

Until then, thumbs down.👎
  • Not for me.
