  • Capability to customize word lists is a big plus Jun 24, 2019

    By DoverDragons
This app is very useful in combination with 2 other sight word apps that we use. Each uses a different teaching technique, and that variety seems to hold our 2nd graders attention better. Being able to create customized word lists, focusing on words the students seem to have trouble with, is a big plus. Well done.

Very good app to help young students. Here in Texas the custom lists are a must. I only wish it used Google Text To Speach (TSS) rather than having to record my own voice. Well worth the money, I highly recommend it.
  • Love it. Dec 21, 2017

I love the fact that he can record the word with his own voice. With this app he has been able to learn his sight words quicker than by using flash cards. Only set back is that it only allows you 2 custom sets with 10 words each. My son already has to review 45 words and it’s only halfway through the year.

Both my Jk and 2nd Grader use this app. It is exactly what I was looking for. Now I don't have to bring our flashcards if we are going out and want to spend time on our sight words, they are always with us, they can work on them anytime.

This is our 2nd year using this sight word coach app to help my son learn his sight words! We love that you can create custom lists, take quizzes and view a list of their problem words. It’s a great way for him to work independently and me to be able to see how he did later.

Not what I was expecting. . It doesn't have any sentence structure as it displayed in the demonstration video, there are just a small selection of words to read and select and it's way to easy for a 6yr old! Where's the rest of the game?

Easy and fun to use. Love the custom lists feature. My kid thinks he's playing, but he is learning.

  • Like the custom list feature Sep 30, 2018

I like the custom list feature but I wish there were more words available. Or that I could choose the words my son has to learn from a list in the app. His teacher has them learn them in a particular order and assess them then they move onto the next list.

  • Wish for the ability to make more than just 2 custom lists Jan 30, 2019

My child’s teacher has them learn sight words in a specific order so I would like the ability to make more custom lists
  • So far good Jan 27, 2019

It very good so far just recently downloaded. The only thing I don’t like so far is for custom words you can only do 10. Which is not good. If there a way you can add more please do it.

I was really excited about this app! I wanted to quiz my son on his current sight words while stuck at home. It worked great up to where it told me that in order to make a 3rd list, that I would have to pay money...Really?!? Each list only ALLOWS 10 words! 20 words is an insult. Thanks for getting my hopes up for nothing....☮ After receiving your response, I will change my 2 star review to a 3.

Good app. I like that it only cycles through a few words at a time and records the one you have trouble on and gives you the option to review those. The fact that it makes a various noises even when you get the answer wrong does not always show my child that they got it wrong. it's almost like a reward. the sounds need to be more simple so that it is always clear for my child. this may not a be a problem for your child so It may be perfect for you but It was not working for us for that reason.

I really like that I can make a custom lists to match his lists from school. I was a little disappointed that you can only do multiple choice quizes. I dont want to confuse him (being only 5) with all the wrong choices. I would like to see just the word in a game or something. Like find the word in this picture or trace the word.
