  • Capability to customize word lists is a big plus Jun 24, 2019

    By DoverDragons
This app is very useful in combination with 2 other sight word apps that we use. Each uses a different teaching technique, and that variety seems to hold our 2nd graders attention better. Being able to create customized word lists, focusing on words the students seem to have trouble with, is a big plus. Well done.

Disappointed that the custom words don't create games. Grandson loved recording his own words. My apologies, added words are included! This has been a life saver as I have taken over the education of my grandson. The site is user friendly and my grandson loves to play. Thanks to all of those who worked on this product!

I love the fact that he can record the word with his own voice. With this app he has been able to learn his sight words quicker than by using flash cards. Only set back is that it only allows you 2 custom sets with 10 words each. My son already has to review 45 words and it’s only halfway through the year.

I'm happy with this. Son played for 45 minutes and was delighted with the silly animals that marked a correct answer. I liked that I could customize a word list for his current lesson.

As a public school teacher, I am always looking for good teaching tools for my students as well as my two sons. This program is really helping my 5 year old son. I will also use it with my 3rd grade English as a New Language students.

  • Customization doesn’t work Dec 31, 2018

I was hoping this app would allow me to create customized word lists, but it has never worked. I finally gave up and started using a flash card app that allows me to record my daughter’s voice for the words. This one still needs some work.

  • Like the custom list feature Sep 30, 2018

I like the custom list feature but I wish there were more words available. Or that I could choose the words my son has to learn from a list in the app. His teacher has them learn them in a particular order and assess them then they move onto the next list.

It was installed correctly on my Android box with external mouse/keyboard and monitor. But while playing, it only shows the upper half of the app window.

  • So far good Jan 27, 2019

It very good so far just recently downloaded. The only thing I don’t like so far is for custom words you can only do 10. Which is not good. If there a way you can add more please do it.

Good app. I like that it only cycles through a few words at a time and records the one you have trouble on and gives you the option to review those. The fact that it makes a various noises even when you get the answer wrong does not always show my child that they got it wrong. it's almost like a reward. the sounds need to be more simple so that it is always clear for my child. this may not a be a problem for your child so It may be perfect for you but It was not working for us for that reason.

I really like that I can make a custom lists to match his lists from school. I was a little disappointed that you can only do multiple choice quizes. I dont want to confuse him (being only 5) with all the wrong choices. I would like to see just the word in a game or something. Like find the word in this picture or trace the word.

Does what it says. Would be better if it helped beginning readers by having the support of reading the words for them at the end.
