I enjoy playing the game especially since covid; however I find many of the men are looking for an on line relationships even though I make it clear I’m happily married and show a picture of the two of use they still push for more making it uncomfortable to continue to play with those men. Some have even pushed so far as to ask you to send them money due to their crises. This is wrong at all level and have blocked them. Out of 30 I have block 27. Other than that I’ve enjoyed building on my word playing game and the challenges from all the global players. The women play each other without conversation. What ever you do don’t give out your last name, home address, phone number and if you go to hangouts to chat remind them you faint accept calls and you don’t bail out strangers financial NO ACCEPTIONS!

Way too much going on and stuff on the screen. Difficult to navigate between current games and mini games and competitions. App frequently freezes and needs restarting. No help feature to get info about games you have to play and go through the tutorial. App wouldn't let me out of a mini game that I didn't want to play, had to close the app. I like that you can get and earn "customized" tiles and the chat feature is ok. It's not the worst social app but it needs to be simpler and not cluttered.

There's way too many intrusive ads. I can't stand it when they come on with audio when I'm listening to something, the audio on the ads should be off by default. Also, there are way too many men only on there to meet women and not play the game, just chat and when we don't want to chat and give our WhatsApp or Hangouts info. they resign the game. Maybe ban them when we report them so that we can play without the harassment and waste of time when they aren't actually players of the game.

Enjoying the game enormously, but there are two snags: (1) There is a huge amount of time wasted waiting for animations to finish, especially the 'rewards' feature, it would be nice to have an option to switch these off, and (2) The app itself is a serious battery power gobbler, even on a phone optimised for gaming. (3) Scrabble should be a family-friendly game, but the adverts appearing during play include sexy dating apps and sex-themed games which should definitely not be seen by children.

The core game is good but the screen is very cluttered with other nonsense, mini games etc. Far too many ads, I'm now getting them almost every turn and many are 30sec long. I'm not not paying £8 a month to remove them as I feel this is excessive. Has also frozen several times with only a forced stop resolving the issue. It could have been so much better. Shame.

Too much happening on each page. There are too many things to click on at once and way too many menus. Not only that, but their dictionary is inaccurate. Scrabble says it uses the Merriam-Webster dictionary, but wouldn't let me play the word 'Asia' I made sure none of the adjacent tiles were touching and did a double take to make sure I didnt accidentally put in an extra tile. I had to stop my game to look up if asia was a word in the dictionary (I already knew it was but I wanted to make sure)

  • Screw this app 🤬 Sep 15, 2020

Too many ads, too many flashing lights, dumbing down the entire experience, this “app” has it all. Do you want to be treated like you are in elementary school? Do you want correct words to not count due to a vaguely defined dictionary? Do you want the app to crash every five seconds? Love ads but hate actually playing? Then this app is for you! All the ads you could ever want, accompanied by all of the seizure inducing lights and effects you know you want. Oh, actually want to spare yourself the ads? Only $7.99/month and still will not spare you misery that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Avoid this app at all costs! You would come out better buying Scrabble and playing at home. Hell, it would be better to buy multiple Scrabble boards and play yourself at the same time! At least you do not have to worry about cheaters and bots. Oh, did I not mention that? Oh yes! Would you like to meet single guys from all around the world? This app is also for you! Terribly disguised “players” constantly getting Bingos all over the place while I am stuck with all vowels. There is a leveling system...in Scrabble. I should have known this app was a joke as soon as I saw the nauseating home page! The tiles you can earn (just stick with the basic tiles) are stupid, the ticket cap for arena is far too low, and you expect me to part with my money during a pandemic with this hack job of an app?! Screw this app and screw these computer bots! 🤬

This is the most annoying version of Scrabble I can imagine. I was hoping to give up WWF and find a classic Scrabble board game, not the arcade version this is. I tried to focus on Classic Scrabble, even though it meant leaving games in progress. It's only slightly less annoying. I'm uninstalling it. If there's a straightforward version of Scrabble I'm not seeing, please let me know.

So many things wrong with this app it’s hard to know where to start. The main thing I object to is being held hostage to watch their idiotic animations. This has nothing to do with them making money, which I know a lot of other people have objected to; this is just about their developers so proud of their work that they want to force us to watch this idiocy when instead we want to make a move. The worst is when the tile animations prevent you from actually making the next move. And another outrage is when they match you with someone who actually doesn’t want to play with you, but then even when the person quits the game after one or two moves, they make you watch the stupid statistics about which was the longest word, which was the highest scoring word...It’s bad enough to watch it at the end of a long game, but here it’s even worse. Yet another example of them holding you hostage to watch all their idiotic animations about things you don’t care about. Then there’s a strange phone icon with a red exclamation point in it, which means nothing if you’re not playing on a phone. What else? There’s so much that’s bad. E.g., you can never really tell whether you have a chat or not because it looks as if you do but then you don’t. Hopeless, why did they have to ruin it? It was fine when it was with EA but this company is obviously just appallingly bad.

I enjoy Scrabble. However, the ads are super annoying and sometimes agonizingly long. My harsher criticism is that I just discovered today that there are bot players that aren't labeled as such and appear as real players. I don't use the chat feature so the only tip off was their almost instantly taking their turn after I played - at all hours. I was hurt by this, as I thought I had made a couple app friends who were just really into Scrabble and had a lot of time on their hands.

Great game! My only negative comment is the ability to message the other players. I am constantly being messaged by men with "canned" sayings. I don't want to message anyone, or engage anyone in conversation while playing this game. I am just wanting to kill some time during the pandemic. How can I stop people from messaging me?

As somebody who stopped playing Scrabble for lack of real-life opponents who didn’t spend half their time being toxic, this is a bonanza. Sure the UI on the main menu isn’t the best, but the app does a good job making the experience worthwhile, even suggesting opponents who play at your pace. Duels are especially nice because you can squeeze in a quick match in just a few minutes without having to worry about playing a full game. Earning new tile sets to customize your rack with is pretty cool too...I’ve already seen some that scream to me, “I want to earn that!” My only real suggestion for the developers is that I would like to see some puzzles in the sense that you are given a game in progress with words already on the board and a rack to play with, and you need to find the best possible play on the board that you can. I just feel that this would help people become better players by giving them a chance to practice board awareness. Other than that, I love this. It’s worth the $5 a month for Club membership.

This is the worst online version of this game ever. Ads are annoying. Can't swap tiles. It's too aggravating. I want my old version back. My phone crashed and reset twice. I didn't attribute it to this app until today when I downloaded it again. Thànk God I have everything but my wallpaper backed up. Y'all need to fix this.

It would be nice to Scrable and skip so many interruptions...then not have an ( X ) close option...is like added punishment. Sick of it...truly. Will be looking for a replacement to this game. I play Scrable to UNWIND at the end of the day...the interruptions are frustrating, therefore, does not support effort of 'unwinding'.

The Classic mode is not very classic, it's a hastily thrown together version to appease players who don't like Scrabble Go. It's glitchy, missing key features such as a dictionary, teacher, and multiplayer capability, it's also a haven for scammers. Lock down your privacy settings when you download the app. They've improved the visibility of the blank tiles on the board which is nice. Update: Even though I am hidden from searches and visible only to friends, strangers now send game requests.

Hi scopely I’m glad I still have access to the old scrabble. Tbh this is just all around weird to market scrabble like this. If you want to attract real scrabble players then please have a version that is the same as the ea one. Namely, the ability to look up a word if it’s not your turn or in play, and the teacher should always be free, not free for a little while. Honestly that was such a turn off. The needless animation is also kind of terrible and I find myself quitting the application just so I don’t have to click through a series of annoying clicks to buy a subscription for $5 a month I’m never gonna get. I really think you will get a lot of people paying a one time fee over doing that it’s kind of ridiculous and I doubt in the long run you will keep it. The one thing I do like about this version is it seems that it’s easier to play with people who are actually pretty good as opposed to the ea version where it was harder to play against random opponents in a way that was user friendly. considering scrabble is a game probably played by a lot of people who are over the age of 15 the whole like Disney feel animation thing is just kind of weird.

Mis-advertised -- fewer ways to play than previously. Eg. Can't play 2 players on one device. Some very dodgy words allowed but some legitimate ones not. Bugs in programming. Constantly bombarded with too many long ads repeated over & over + other garbage within the game. Why can't I just buy a freestanding game? Overall what should be a fabulous game is ruined & a very poor experience. I just don't understand why producers do this to themselves when they could do something truly worthwhile.
