The old Hollywood epics that could easily go on for 4 hours. Most movies today don't last as long. Still, if your bladder is on the small side, you may require a break. RunPee gives you a chance to find the perfect time you visit the toilet - without missing any of the plot. Sounds weird but it works.

I’ve been using RunPee for a few years now and it’s basically a requirement of going to the movies for me. The best part of course are the “pee times” that give you cues, synopses and times for when you can pee without missing the most important parts of the movie. There is also information about the credits- length, extras and if there are any extra scenes at the wayyy end. Super helpful to just know that it is or isn’t worth staying. There is a timer function that will buzz your phone when it’s a good time to pee. I also appreciate that the app is very conscientious about it being an app you use in a theater- dark background, all silent alarms etc. I will always enjoy the experience of the theater even if I could watch things at home- but I’ve even used it at home to check for things like after credit scenes or other information too.

Used this for a couple years and it was a handy app to have. Never had any issues. But since switching to Android 11 on my Pixel 4a5g it now locks up and refuses to start. **Update** The developer has 1st rate support. After posting this, I was in contact with support and the issue was resolved. It now runs "Pee-rfectly" 👍

This is one of those apps that should be a staple on every movie-watcher’s phone (so, basically, every phone). It provides very useful and concise information without risk of exposing you to spoilers. Worth every penny (for the value of what you get out of this app, the price is far better than fair - and they provide very flexible options for any type of user). I just updated to the most recent version of the app, which was described as a complete overhaul of the previous versions. IMO, the user interface is now even easier to navigate and I can see that no sacrifices were made to quality or performance. Hats off to all involved with this project! I’ve had the app for several years, but I don’t think I created an account until ‘20. I will be a fan for life, I highly recommend 😊 🙌👏🙌

I had a friend tell me about this app several years ago and once I tried it I was in love. I love to have a soda and popcorn or snack when I watch a movie - but that also means I can’t make it through the movie without having to leave to go pee. This app not only tells you the best time to leave to go pee, but how long you have, a brief synopsis of what you will miss and a couple other pee times where you will miss less. It also tells you if there are extra scenes after the movie. I think this is the first review i have done for an app - because i love it so much and wanted to share so others can enjoy it too.

App does well what it advertises. The dev(s?) is very quick to respond to issues too and resolve them asap. The UI is mostly fine but would suggest making it a bit cleaner (using material design maybe?).

I’m a huge movie fan, and this app is what I’ve always needed! I hate guessing when the best time to “run pee”, and then trying to figure out what I’ve missed. Or, timing when I can have a drink so I don’t leave during an important scene. I love and appreciate the vibration mode, the quick summary of the scene, and the timed “pee run”! Thank you to the whole Run Pee family for making my movie experience that much better! I jokingly tell my friends and family this is the best app for people with small bladders, but it’s useful to everyone!

I’m the person that can NEVER watch an entire movie without having to pee. This app honestly is a lifesaver. I’ve found their recommended pee times to always be pretty good in terms of picking the best time to leave the theater, and they’re very detailed on what cues to look out for to let you know when to leave. This is a very small app run by a few people, so the fact that it has a free version is incredible. I’m totally willing to watch a 30 second ad to help them out.

As an avid movie goer this app saves me the frustration of worrying about enjoying my soda and popcorn. Never miss any of the movie. Kept up to date so when I go today to see a new release, the info is already there. They listen to users and are always updating it to make it even better. Best app. Don't leave home without it. And support is amazing! Love this app so much, I bought the Infinity coin. This is a family-owned business, so feel good about supporting them.

Going to the movies is a fun experience, but drinking a 96oz soda has its side effects halfway through a 2h 45min movie. Enter Peetime, which tells you the best time to ditch out for a minute or two, whether it’s to refill your popcorn or refund your soda. On top of that, it has simple reviews and information on the latest movies, it’s more useful than IMDB and AMC’s apps combined.

  • Look at all the fake reviews!! Feb 25, 2018

    By tab1075
This app has an overall rating of 3.8 stars out of 5. Yet when you look at all of the newest reviews, there’s a massive string of them that are all 5 stars. That should tell you that something’s fishy. I believe that the developer is paying to have, or submitting fake positive reviews themselves ever since they changed the payment format of this app. Just read the titles of all of the most recent reviews. Never in all my years using the App Store have I ever seen so many review titles that absolutely gush over an app like these do, one after another after another. The reviews themselves are just as fake sounding and many just so happen to encourage users to buy the lifetime coin option. We used to have to watch one add to use this app, but now are forced to buy virtual coins with real money for every movie we want to look at. Or watch ads to earn coins, but it all requires giving them our email, which they more than likely sell to other advertisers, resulting in an inbox full of spam. I’ve known developers to use fake reviews before, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one go as far as this one. I rarely go to the bathroom during a movie in the theater, so I didn’t use this for that, but did use it to check for scenes after the credits so we didn’t waste our time waiting. Even so, I always thought the whole concept of this app was a great idea. But I refuse to support such crooked behavior from a dev. APP UNINSTALLED!
  • Great idea, poor execution Feb 10, 2016

    By CrouchingDomo
I love the idea of this app, but I have beef with the notification aspect. Be aware that if you want to use the feature where it gives you a heads-up when you can actually, you know, run and pee, you have to have your iPhone UNLOCKED and with the RINGER ON. I've got all possible notification buttons turned on for this app in Settings, but the only way my phone will vibrate when the pee break arrives is if the phone is unlocked and the app is open and running. Won't work if the phone is on Vibrate; won't work if the phone is on Do Not Disturb; won't work if you've even turned off the screen. So basically, for the Alert feature to work, you have to sit there with a fully-on phone in your lap, turned screen-down so the light doesn't bother people. It completely defeats the purpose. I know the technology exists to allow the app to run in the background and nudge me even if I've turned off the screen. This is ridiculous. You're better off using the app to get the timing and then setting your phone's alarm to buzz you gently at the pee break. It's nuts. The app has good information about the movies, gives you a synopsis of what you might miss, etc. I'm not crazy about the ad at the beginning, but I start the app before the lights go down anyway. It's the complete and utter failure of the Alert feature that really grinds my gears.
  • USED to be so awesome! Jun 3, 2018

I have been a LONG time user of run peetime. Like almost since the beginning. And in the beginning the people at peetime where humble and just beginning and made an app that was simple and useful. THEN came the greed. It started with guilt inducing announcements to us about the huge cost associated with the service and then justifications for new advertising and wait screens. (Appropriately about bladder control medication!!) It all seemed bearable until the pee coins came along or whatever they are called! I mean seriously!!!! Now u have to buy coins to get times or some crazy thing and it is just too dang complicated. What I need, and I think anyone really needs is a simple recommendation of a slow moment in the Movie that u can miss!!! The “anything after the credits” thing was really the only thing I actually used and now that’s even messed up. The people at pee time can’t even agree on what “something during the credits” even is now a days!! Anyway, I’m done with it. Iv carried this app for years and have finally given up. I think what is needed is a crowd sourced app with simple “pee time” recommendations and advice on after credits scenes. Simple!
  • Great premise, ruined by their own model Apr 12, 2018

    By Cratcho
I won't give it 1*, because I do use it and it comes in handy for knowing if there is a scene after the end credits. However, like others I paid for this app. There is a reasonable expectation in paying for an app that it won't shove ads down your throat (locking the app until ads have run). The idea of trying to get a subscription fee out of me after I already paid for the app? Laughable. These people do NOT know how to monetize what they have and are forcing users to suffer through their hamfisted experiments. UPDATED: Now it is 1*. Initially you paid for the app and got the service, as any reasonable person would expect. Then they placed barrier ads you were forced to watch before accessing the ad, which felt like something you do on a free version of a pay app, not the full version. Now they have a “token” system, hiding the service you already paid for and forcing you to jump through ad hoops just to access it. They have done uncorrectable damage to the app owners and will not recover. This is bound to fail now and deserves to.
  • Unethical Sep 21, 2019

Not enough to have paid for the app when it was still premium, now I have to either watch ads or pay for an "infinity peecoin" to use what I already bought. This is unethical, and developers who do this should not be rewarded. It's Simply. Not. Done. by any reputable application. Reputable applications innovate new functionality and then charge for it as an upsell when they need more money. They might change the rules for new customers and charge them differently. But they don't take away what you already have and resell it to you, as if they never received payment from you. I get that the developer got in over their head and what they charged didn't do enough to offset their time. I respect that the revenue model had to change to mitigate that--but not for me. I paid for functionality offered for a one-time payment and expect to have it available as long as the app exists because that's what one-time payment means. And what happens when this model fails too--another infinity peecoin to buy? Perhaps more ads, or maybe I'll have to sign up for free trials or Venmo some cash straight to the developer. Or perhaps they'll ask for a "sign in" email address--to sell to spam lists. Please do not pay any money to this application, watch ads, or otherwise enrich these developers. Runpee deserves to fail out of existence, if only as an example of exactly how not to treat paying customers.
  • RunPee Sprung a Leak Jan 3, 2019

This app was revolutionary when it came out, I was stoked to find out there’s a way to find the best places during movies to pee, even if I didn’t have to at least I still had an app that told me. Then “PeeCoins” came in a few years later, which I was mad at first but gave in since they got to make cash somehow, so whatever. The final nail came when the TIMER just DIDN’T WORK ANYMORE... I didn’t mind it at first thinking it was nothing more than a short term glitch with my phone, but it persisted. I’d figure out halfway through a peetime that I was already 5 minutes past said time, or I’d get a pee time prompt that already prompt an hour ago. It’s funny writing something critical about an app that tells you when to pee during movies, trying to be serious... but your app is a mess, a big mess, I hope you fix it soon because I’ve been using this thing since it came out and I don’t think I’ll be using it anymore.

  • New ad ruins it Aug 25, 2016

    By Vondrook
UPDATED: They finally updated the app to have a dark ad that is much less intrusive, so I gave it another star. The UI isn't the best so I'm still keeping it at 4 stars but it's the only app out there that does this, so I have to give them that. It's so useful because when you watch a new movie, you don't know when the best times are to leave. This gives you a little buzz for predetermined "Pee Times" that the app makers and users create. Then people can comment and say whether one Pee Time was better than another. It also gives you info on whether you should stay past the credits in case there is bonus footage. Overall, and excellent app that is unique and super useful, but they could update the UI and possibly add a paid "Disable Ads" option.
  • Thanks for Push Notifications! Nov 22, 2014

    By fadedfilmsinc
This app has become infinitely more useful since the developers have added push notifications to the mix. Using it before meant turning my auto-lock off, my brightness down all the way and draining my battery for two hours. Now, a notification pops up on my screen with a prompt for the dialogue cue I should be looking for and it's absolutely the best feature of this app. As a utility, it can't be beat. The only small criticism I have is that the interface could be a little bit better designed. Other than that, I have absolutely nothing to say. This is a great utility and a godsend for a frequent moviegoer like me. Thanks for making this awesome app!
  • PeeCoins? Good update. Feb 18, 2018

    By uncleguff
This is a fun & very useful app. The “Pee Coin” concept is new but pretty simple. Basically, you need one coin to access PeeTime info for one movie. You can get a coin by watching a 15-sec ad. Now, some people are upset by this. But I figure... you’re at your movie. You want to access the info for that movie but you need a coin. Easy... just take 15-seconds & watch a really short video ad during the movie credits... or on your drive to the theater... or while you’re standing in line for popcorn... or while you’re taking your preemptive movie wizz. 15 seconds and you have your coin! And now you have access to your movie’s PeeTime info & more. It’s certainly a better setup than all those annoying timed ads that cluttered the app on previous versions. They were the worst! One negative: Some of the ads say you can earn multiple coins... up to 10. But it still only gives one coin per video. I guess they still have some glitches to work out.
  • Be careful spending money on app Feb 11, 2018

    By garnerlb
Be aware that the developer is selling an infinity credit now saying you will never have to watch advertisements again. However, there used to be an option to buy the app which I did a long time ago and shortly after spending money on the app, the developer started adding must watch ads before you could use the app. The reasoning given was “the app can’t be free forever”. So be careful paying money for the app as it will most likely be changed in a year requiring you to watch ads and asking you to spend money again for its use.
  • So genius!! Jul 15, 2017

    By MightyMounce
I don't isualalt write reviews but this is genius in itself. I don't know why someone else hasn't came up with it because it's helpful for people who always hold their bladder during the whole 2nd half of a movie. The only thing negative about this is the timer before you can get into each movie. I surpass that though because it's so great. Not only can you see peetimes and read synopsis of the quick 4 minutes or so that you miss, but it lets you know if there are after or post credit scenes. Such a great app! Kudos to whoever came up with it!
  • Very Helpful May 30, 2018

    By eecooldog
I used it for the first time during Solo (the Star Wars movie) and it worked. The app gives you cues when to go by telling you quotes or scenes that DONT SPOIL THE MOVIE. It gives you multiple times, and there is a option to turn on a timer that will quietly buzz about a minute before a pee period is about to begin. It asks you to rate the movie before and after (to compare your expectations to what you thought after). I recommend but it is outdated so it would be nice if they could update it (it looks a little sketchy).

Too much clutter. I like this app for the good break times and info on post movie features. But there is now way too much clutter and questions you need to get through to start the timer. I was recently running late to a movie and didn't want to disturb others in the audience; I had to give up because I couldn't get through to the start timer. I've paid for the app and have infinite coins so I shouldn't be facing ads. FWIW, I hate the request to review. I don't use the app for movie recommend

This is an awesome app! I use it mostly to find out if there are any out-takes or extra scenes after the credits. There have been many times I would have left and missed some funny stuff if not for this app. However... if I don't remember to check it before going into the theater, it won't work. I thought it was my phone/a server issue, but it does it 100% of the time! Everything else on my phone works fine, except that app (it has happened on two different phones too.) I'm just REALLY glad I don't depend on it to actually 'run pee!!'

I really wanted to give this app a chance! I always tell my friends about the fact that this exist as if to prove "there's an app for everything" and then I finally bought it. Low and behold, I got an app with a HORRIBLE UI, which doesn't fit the App Store at all. I said, OK, maybe the guys don't have enough time, seeing as they are going to the movies each day and taking notes, ok. SO I found the movie I was going for, star trek, and then got an email. When I returned to the app, I needed to search for my movie again. WHAT?? I'm in the middle of the theater and I need to search for the movie? Haven't you heard of persistent state? Ok Ok, the timer seemed very nice, I'd get a notification when there's run pee time. The screen said there are 4 pee brakes, so I've waited and waited. Nothing happened, either I didn't feel the vibration or I don't know, when I pulled the phone out I saw they I missed it by 15min. And then, that's it. Instead of showing me when the next break is, and what's gonna happen where I can go, the app just showed me "it's -25min pasty your pee break" AND THAT"S IT What good does this information give me? Why when I have 3 more breaks, I can't know when they are happening?? Please get a UX designer, pay him, and make this app a perfection, because now it's bad!

The app probably works fine IF you don't close the app. By "close" I mean you can't even flip over to check your texts, because once you do the app kills itself and you have to start over. I know, "I shouldn't be checking my texts during a movie", but when you have kids at home with a sitter you have to make sure all is well. I don't disturb others in the theatre. Anyway, all my other apps run in the background without a glitch, why can't this one? Hopefully by my next movie this will be fixed, and I can write a different review, because this would be a very valuable tool for a guy that pees at least twice during a movie.

App unusable. Completely freezes on the main screen. Running on Pixel 5. Cool idea though.

Does not work on OnePlus 7T. At all. Also pay to use, which is ridiculous irrespective of diseconomies of scale.

How fun to open an app THAT I PAID FOR to see a message that they’re now charging for “peecoins” to “keep the app FREE” for everyone. It wasn’t free for me. I paid money for this. To help get your app off the ground. And now all benefit of that payment has disappeared. You changed the fee structure after the fact, so you can kindly repay me so that the app is also “free” for me. What a crappy, crappy way to do business. Plus, you rarely have newly released movies or non-blockbusters up right away. You were useless for Isle of Dogs tonight. All these 5 star reviews all of a sudden? Yeah. I don’t believe any of them. I used to love this app and would tell everyone I knew how worth it it was to buy. I didn’t realize it was being run by unscrupulous developers who can’t figure out how to grandfather in the users who paid to get them going. Bye, I hope another app comes along that blows you off the map.
