  • Ice Break Oct 17, 2020

Give me an icebreaker and I’ll update the review to 5 stars. Lol seriously though, I literally can’t get past the 7th mission of the ice level. Right when I think, alright now I have to be nearing the end, more ice. Patience is definitely required here but I can’t help but feel like I’ve hit I wall (literally) that I can’t get past unless I pay up and buy boxes and pray to the lord all mighty there’s an icebreaker in one of them boxes because otherwise good luck with level 7 of the ice world. It’ll literally make you wanna take everything you hold most dear in the world and throw it all out of the window. But other than level 7 of the ice world (which I’m still stuck on) yea the game is pretty fun. (Edit): I just beat level 7, and got the icebreaker finally. Here’s the five stars I promised ya.

This game is quite fun. The main problem is that to pass the next mission you need to upgrade your parts to have more fuel, or speed, etc. To get those parts you have to do a really easy mission that unlocks a few times per day. So you might have to log in for a few minutes a few times a day for a few days or a few weeks to get the vehicle upgraded enough to pass the main mission. Or you can spend an unspecified amount of money to maybe get lucky. Should have watch an ad to get in game currency.

  • Great game, just needs a little polishing Sep 3, 2020

    By DaveCoty
Like others, I was excited to play this since I loved the first one. I’ve been playing for a while now, and I’m now stuck on the ice planet as I don’t have the right parts to break through ice. I’m ok with how the new parts are obtained, but I think it would be better if essential items were gifted when the new planet is unlocked. I want to keep playing, but I’m literally stuck in the campaign, and I have to wait several hours for the delivery mission cooldown, which is a little disappointing. The other mode only grants coins, which doesn’t really help me at this point because I already have more than enough saved. If there was another way to obtain new parts (without having to buy chests), I think it would greatly improve the gameplay so I’m not forced to sit around waiting to *hopefully* get the part(s) I need in the next delivery mission.

It reminds me of those games with dirt bikes or trucks that you have to make it through obstacles, but with a building your own vehicle twist. Unfortunately the build your own vehicle is locked behind missions and other things that drip feeds parts to you rather than giving you free reign to buy and sell parts from a store. So you become reliant on needing certain pieces that the game doesn't want to give you and it just makes things more challenging and frustrating than it needs to be.

It takes time to unlock the items you need cause it’s chance based which is a bit frustrating but not a total deal breaker. It is still a great improvement from the first game. I am currently on the ice world without an icebreaker and let me tell you... certain items should be unlocked such as the icebreaker after the first mission. But I guess that’s another part of this game I love, rebuilding and trying again even if I’m on the verge of rage lol. Last thing. Cargo deliveries are a nice addition and keeps the game from being a total bust, cause when you are at a stand still you get a chance to unlock something to aid you. Thank you guys for a game worth playing and not having to pay to get anywhere!

  • Cards make for grindy play through Sep 24, 2020

You can’t just download this and in a couple days expect to have enough cards to get through some levels. BIG TIP FOR THE ICE LEVEL- use the flag to break the ice. I managed to play the whole way through without the icebreaker. As for the level that is underground. It is nearly impossible to finish 8 without three regular batteries. This is messed up. The charge should hold up better. I have two of each battery and can not pass the 8th level in Karen’s after over 8 hours of playing this level with a good amount of skill. It’s just impossible. Also watching the ad to start from a checkpoint is often BROKEN. Please fix this. I watch an ad and expect to start from a checkpoint and once the game resumes it says “driver down”. What was the point of me watching the ad, to then see my driver dies immediately before I can move. Please fix this devs. I will not make any purchases in this game until these random loot boxes are at least 1 USD, per box. 3 USD is too high for me to gamble with. 3 items randomly for 3 USD, and I have 22 items. There is no value here. What I need is battery cards that’s it. Why not let me buy that and that only? I can’t watch videos for gems. And no more free gems to unlock with progression through XP. It feels like a cash grab honestly. And I refuse to gamble on what’s currently offered. I guess I’ll go from spending hours playing to just 3-4 times a day when the deliveries pop up. Really kind of sad.

  • Great Game but limited by wait times and the parts system Sep 4, 2020

    By Josiah somar
Rovercraft 2 has a much better physics engine than rovercraft 1 making it a blast to play and along with a offer variety of parts to play around with, makes have much more depth than the original. However, the new parts system and linear level system is the major underlying problem with the game. The game starts off fine, with the game giving you an ample amount of parts to upgrade your rovers batteries and wheels, but you start slowing down once you reach the second planet until you eventually hit a level where it simply impossible to finishes as you don’t have good enough batteries to hold energy or enough power in the wheel to climb a hill etc. If this was rovercraft 1, you would just need to go back to a level you can finish to grind more coins to upgrade your parts but in rovercraft 2 you can’t go back. So what’s the only way to upgrade your parts? Deliveries. Deliveries that you wait for in real time ranging from 3-7 hours until you get a new delivery. There needs to be an easier way to get part upgrades that aren’t just a waiting game. I understand the devs want the players to buy crates for real money but it’s going to be hard to reel in new players for buy these crates when new players cant even see the bulk of the content in the game. So unless this system changes, my rating stays at a 2. I would rate it 1 but the improved mechanics in this sequel warrant acknowledgement.

To reiterate, this is one of the funnest games ever. It just needs more content. (Hill climb 2 is the direction this game should go) I see a lot of negative feedback about the batteries, which is why I wanted to rewrite my review. You are playing a free game guys! A game that would have cost $50-$60 back in the glory days of 2D Nintendo or PlayStation games. This game can be played through to the last level, but it will take about 3 months of playing every six hours... or you can give them some money to get through the game faster. These guys deserve every penny they get! Please support these guys and this game! I can’t wait to see more levels and more... whatever they come up with!

I downloaded Rover Craft what seems like years ago and now it is a part of my daily routine. I play a daily challenge once every morning and one at night. Two days ago, I discovered, much by accident, that Rover Craft 2 existed and I have felt like it’s been my birthday. Thanks so much for making these excellent games and please continue to add levels in the future. I really appreciate all of you at Mobirate.

I have played the previous game and I can't help but draw comparisons to the previous game. While the presentation, music and sound effects have improved I feel that the gameplay mechanics have deteriorated. Rovercraft 1 still had some flexibility related to what one could procure to improve their crafts as all improvements were available on the store. This game introduces the concept of loot-boxes which has literally prevented me from progressing beyond a certain point unless I pay real money.

  • Awsome but BIG Flaw.. Sep 14, 2020

Awsome game, great gameplay just like the old one, few minor flaws like you guys need to add the reset button for the rover when building it, add throphies like the first one for more pilot rewards, but the biggest flaw this game have and definetly should fix right away, is that offroad wheel, at least on my expirience with the game, you can mix the wheels for better control in diferent terrains, but that offraod wheel is WAAAAYYY TO WEAK, it does not have any strenght what so ever when trying to push up a cliff and offroads wheels are suppose to help you climb up not stay still because they even begin to push back up unless you help with a booster. FIX RIGHT AWAY!! But other than that awsome game.

compared to one this game lost a lot of the fun. still a good game, but if your looking for excitement, go to one! Edit, based on response: that's awesome, and like I said, the game is good, and the lack of in game purchases is awesome! I do wish there was more playable content! I've beaten all but the last level of the last planet, and I open the game a couple times a day to do my cargos then I close it, sad day.

Fun, Looking forward to future levels. Just wish I could replay previous levels just to experiment with different configurations. UPDATE: Got a new phone, apparently progress isn't saved to Google play ID, tried to move save file from old phone to new one and nothing changed. I lost everything it's a real bummer.

I am SO glad RoverCraft is back again. It was by far one of my favorite apps. The sequel is just as amazing, I just think it needs a few tweaks. Parts and part upgrades are much much harder to obtain. The daily cargo thing doesn’t give many rewards, and the cooldown is multiple multiple hours. If you get stuck on a story mode mission, you have to wait for the reset on the cargo run, and then HOPE it gives you upgrade parts for something you need. If it doesn’t? Wait many long hours again and hope it does next time. I also very much miss the ability to replay levels. I reaaaally wish that would come back. Even for half or quarter of the rewards. I just want something to do other than the same story mission I’ve been stuck on for a day. Otherwise? Still a great game. The physics are nice and the gameplay is smooth. A little lag with the throttle control, but nothing major. My only complaint or suggestion would revolve around part acquisition. EDIT : new found issue. 9 times out of 10 when I watch an ad to revive at a checkpoint, I immediately die again at the checkpoint and I’m forced to the menu.

  • Decent game, just lacking content Sep 11, 2020

By why do i even care
Not a bad game. I like it Over the previous game. Just is lacking content which makes it feel empty. Already on the last level and haven’t had it for even a week. Also wish there were other game modes. The deliveries take too long to reset, no real reason to explore given you only get gold which I have plenty of, and the missions aren’t repeatable (mixed feelings on this. It would be cool to go through it again with the better equipment, but I do see how it would feel repetitive.) love how it doesn’t feel as if it is begging for money or filled with ads. Feel like that makes it perfectly balanced. Please add more content and more modes!! Only reason why I gave it 3/5.

  • Fresh at first... Sep 10, 2020

    By Ghost freak 747217
It’s a fresh new game coming from the first one, which is great since I loved the first one. The freshness however ends real fast just after the 1st planet when you’re struggling to grind for the right parts to go on with the story. With the only way to get new parts pieces or parts it self being the transportation missions, which is nice but the wait times are too long and no way to make the shorter. There’s a bug where your pilot insta-dies at the checkpoint right after you spent 30+ seconds watching another one of those “home escapes” game ads, which makes it really frustrating when you try to get a little lucky by going on with the parts and craftiness you already have. So with the bug being annoying and topping it with those “garden escapes” ads I really hate I have to give it a 2*. But with the bug fixed I’d give it a 3*-4* and if those annoying ads meant reduced wait times for the transportation missions then it wouldn’t be so bad.

    By Fgggfygyvyft
This second version lacks ALOT of things Rover one was great for. There is much less content and freedom. In the first one you had the ability to choose what you wanted to upgrade, there was always a planet or challenge to complete. If you got stuck you would work harder to get the money for the right upgrades. In the second version your stuck playing these mundane delivery missions that you have to play over and over again until you get the right upgrade.
