  • You missed the chance to call it roller bear Jul 23, 2017

The game is fun and I love the graphics, although I have one complaint, you missed the chance to call it roller bear. It makes me very mad that you did not call it that. I expect more from the best game studio on the App Store. But in all honesty I love you guys and the game plays extremely well, keep doing what you're doing.

I was about to give this 1 star because you didn't give me a tutorial on how to jump over stuff, but now I realized you have to double jump over the tree and it made me feel better now. Good game!!!

A great achievement! RollerPolar is a great time waster by nitrome! In the game you play as a polar bear rolling downhill on a snowball. There are many obstacles including trees, rocks, snowman, and even the animals. You have a powerful jump and double jump so everytime you get over something you get a point and that's the goal: to get the highest score in order to be the best! This leads to addictive competition with friends. Like all nitrome games, it has one-touch game that's easy to learn and hard to master. You can also collect coins and buy other bears. If there's something I can't "bear" it's that this game isn't the best nitrome game. But even then, it's a perfect example of nitrome's fantastic throw-back graphics and music! It's a sure 5/5 stars!

  • Fun, but a bit buggy Jan 8, 2020

I’m a big fan of Nitrome stuff, I used to play their games on Miniclip years ago. I have a bunch of their other apps, which work great, but this one has a few issues: > Sound settings do not keep if app is reset (every time I open it, I have to re-mute the music and sound effects). > Remove Ads button does not work. I hate pop ups, and I don’t mind paying a bit to get rid of them, but the button doesn’t do anything. It animates as if I’m clicking it, but nothing pops up. > Restore Purchases button in settings links me to Nitrome in Apple Music’s “browse” section. I don’t have Apple Music, I don’t know if it would be different if I did, but nothing shows up for me on that page. Based on every other restore purchases button I’ve clicked on, it’s not supposed to do that. If these defects could be repaired, I’d greatly appreciate it. Other than this, it’s a fun, simple game.

I am irate over this fascist game that is completely unrealistic. I am so disappointed in the minuscule quality of the realism, its hard for me to even put it into words...but here it goes. I am a doctor on the forefront of polar bear research. First off POLAR BEARS CANNOT run on snow balls. How does said snowball become so perfectly symmetrical, basic metrics suggests that the wight of a polar bear on a perfectly round snow ball would make the ball disproportional. Furthermore how could these objects become so lodged into a snow ball. Lastly, the migration patterns of ravens suggest they do not settle in the arctic regions , so how they got into this game is beyond me. Save your time and your space DO NOT GET THIS GAME

  • Don't listen to the bad reviews Jan 26, 2015

This game is A+! The controls are simple: tap once to jump, tap twice to double jump (does that explain why you couldn't get over the tree to those who were complaining?). Listen, Nitrome makes games for GAMERS, specifically those who can figure out game controls without a tutorial (I'm not the only one who has eagerly lept into a game and completely skipped the tutorial because thug life) and honestly, you don't need a tutorial for this incredibly simple game. It's definitely a good time waster, and is more about beating your friends high scores. Who cares about the physical anatomy of a polar bear or the perfect roundness of a snow ball (I'm talking to you Dr. Butter thumbs!) this game is just a source of entertainment on a bus or train or maybe in a doctor's office. It does the job perfectly. So don't be fooled by biased or misinformed reviews, try it for yourself. It's really a great game!

Great game, its definitely a game you play when you've got nothing else to do but its great. More skins would be appreciated, maybe some more obstacles too, I noticed in this update many of the harder obstacles have been shifted from about the 2nd/3rd snowballs to even further away so it would be great getting the odd hard obstacle in the early stages(triple tree, quadruple rocks)

The game is great I love the simplicity of a one touch game with as much detail as this. However, the only objective is to beat your own high score. An addition of finding coins, unlocking new characters, and playing in different maps would make this game an easy 5 star rating.

There's an odd glitch where, if I attempt to start a new game while a right-facing bird is onscreen, the bird keeps flying to the right and offscreen while the game begins. When this happens, a game starts with only rocks and the counter remains at 0. Often, the music stops working when this occurs. Also, some of the achievements just plain don't seem to work. I'm fairly certain I've jumped from one ball to another and tripped over snowman hats multiple times, but I don't have the achievements for those.

  • Very fun game except one point Jan 25, 2015

Fun, cute, and addictive. Overall I like it. The dynamic night and day feature, however, is more of a nuisance As the obstacle blends into the dark background at night, which makes the game unnecessarily difficult and less enjoyable. Otherwise it is a very good game.

Die few time > advertisement > player can't die + same obstacle (rock) == I think the problem is around the advertisement program. Beside that bug, is fun to play.

This game is fun, and addicting. But it often glitches, and repeats the same obstacle, without giving you any points. To actually play, you have to restart. Nitrome, you've had some good games, and I think you can improve this one, if you fix this problem.

C'mon Nitrome, you're better than this. You made creative, full-fledged, complex games, great games. You sort of did that with Ice Vikings on the App Store, but that wasn't one of your better games. You know what was? Feed Me. Speaking of which, when's Super Feed Me?

Nitrome's move to mobile apps has been going pretty well so far. Roller Polar is their second attempt at a free game, and it's just average. It's fun for a few times, but there's not much to it besides a high score. If you're easily amused by games like Flappy Bird, this is for you.
