I haven't used the app too much but so far so good. I use it with my C2 Pro and everything seems to run well. You have to download the video clips to your phone to watch them without being connected to the camera, which it seems some people haven't figured out yet. Once downloaded you can find them in the 'local storage' section, otherwise it will only been viewable by clicking on your camera, while it is connected.

Works like a charm. Very simple and easy to use. Camera has great picture quality day and night. I've bought 2 different brand cameras in the same price range to see which one is better. Roav a1 was an easy win. Better picture quality, easier navigation through menus, great build quality. Dont expect 1Gbps wifi speeds on a $50 camera. It probably has cheapest 802.11a wifi chipset as an added value feature. It works, just a little slow, but works. Cons? Too cheap??

Does what it needs to for managing and downloading videos from the Roav Dashcams (A1). Interface makes sense and is easy to use, with two notes: 1) Requires location permissions. They say they need it to connect to the dashcam. Not sure if that's right or not but I'm not too worried about it. 2) Requires the creation of a VPN to download videos. Fishy to say the least. If you let it create the VPN and then delete it from your settings, everything still works. Do this. Untrusted VPNs are bad.

I've only been using it for a day so far, but it seems to run really well aside from show download speeds from the camera to the phone and if you watch a video directly from the camera without downloading, it buffers every few seconds. I'm recording at 1080 though, so I don't expect a great connection speed from the camera. The only complaint I have with the app is that it doesn't have a way to stream live video from the camera to the phone.

I try to connect to the camera and it gives vague instructions about setting up "tethering" on the camera. it makes no sense. I think they just mean enable Wi-Fi. eventually I got everything going and even installed a version update. the image is good albeit oversharpened. it's hard to read license plates unless you are really close. still for the price it seems okay.

The app buffers to much when you're trying to watch footage it will play 10 or 15 sec than buffer but video quality is good tho and easy to use just buffers to much

App is good to have as a companion to my Roav Dash Cam A1 but each time I update from version 3.0 to 3.2 the update appears to work but when I connect to my cam via wifi the version reverts back to 3.0. Current version states 3.2 but I'm sure it will revert to 3.0 once again after I connect to the cam via wifi as it has already done several times now. It also took some time upgrading from version 2.4 to 3.0. Trying to remember what I did to stop reverting from version 3.0 to 2.4. Any solutions?

I've had this awhile now, and had to come back and make it 2☆'s; when I connect to the cam, all the vids say they're full. When I click on them— Pzzzt! Nothing! I think I'll just go with a more expensive cam- not that I want to spend $$, but because I want the damn thing to work! What's happening to your Quality Control, Anker??? And what's the deal with no updates in a year and a half? Tsk, tsk.. Time to say bye!!

Had the camera for approximately two months. Nothing but problems. First it wouldn't connect to my phone for video playback. Now it turns on and turns off within two seconds. I've tried turning it off but it won't stay on long enough to do that. Currently it also shows no memory card.

C2 Pro here. No updates, instructions are still vague. GPS works half the time. Avoid purchasing any DahCams from Roav, this company is rubbish.

EVERYONE HAVING ISSUES READ THIS REVIEW. connect to wifi with phone from camera, then select "manage router" that will bring up a page where you can see your videos and download without a app. good luck.

Needs an update. Very slow and requires me to force quit the app after Every use. Love the dash cam itself, but the app needs some improvement.

A waste. Doesn't connect to the app on phone. Had to take the SD card out to watch it on a computer. More than half the videos are corrupted files. The handle part of the set up completely broke apart making a light adjustment. Terrible product and app.

I downloaded this app as a means of getting videos off of my dashcam and onto my phone quickly in case of an accident, but this app has proven to be anything but quick. It takes a long time (several minutes) to download video to the app from the camera and even longer (ten minutes and counting) to compress video if you want to upload it to Youtube. The app also uses really strange language, which leads me to believe it was developed by people who didn't speak English as a first language. That's fine, but it's hard to understand what I need to do to connect Wifi and do different things within the app. This is fairly disappointing coming from Anker, as I normally like their products. If you have the ability, I would recommend just taking out the SD card and downloading video directly to your computer, as it's probably faster than using the app.
