Personally I've had the Roav for the past 2 years love it going to pick up a secondary! As a back up .Clear crisp pic and video Day or night the right price and efficient.

I've had several of these dash cams for my semi truck and this is by is the best camera I've ever owned for the $40 cost (Walmart) and how long it's lasted me. It even made it through the 120f summer window temps and didn't freak out on me. I wish they still sold them. The 3 friends I've recommended it to & who bought it are still as of today 18mo later using theirs too. I. Love the fact you can wifi it to your cell phone, which my prior models didn't have the ability. Wish WIFI was faster.

Feature missing: Once I download a video on my phone from the Dashcam, I dont see an option for downloading rest of the videos from dashcam. The option to download comes again only if I delete all the local videos on phone. Please fix this.

I haven't used the app too much but so far so good. I use it with my C2 Pro and everything seems to run well. You have to download the video clips to your phone to watch them without being connected to the camera, which it seems some people haven't figured out yet. Once downloaded you can find them in the 'local storage' section, otherwise it will only been viewable by clicking on your camera, while it is connected.

A waste. Doesn't connect to the app on phone. Had to take the SD card out to watch it on a computer. More than half the videos are corrupted files. The handle part of the set up completely broke apart making a light adjustment. Terrible product and app.

App trying to stay running in background, no simple way to close. Have to adjust settings to stop it. Or force close each time.

I'm sure it's great for wifi dashcams, but I wish it would support local video from any location and not a specific spot. It says no videos found when I have a lot of videos on my device. I'm using a Roav Duo so I hoped it would work on their app.

Video download is S-L-O-W. And to make your video downloading experience even more special, the app won't download in the background, so you can't use your phone/tablet FOR ANYTHING ELSE during the download!

I downloaded this app as a means of getting videos off of my dashcam and onto my phone quickly in case of an accident, but this app has proven to be anything but quick. It takes a long time (several minutes) to download video to the app from the camera and even longer (ten minutes and counting) to compress video if you want to upload it to Youtube. The app also uses really strange language, which leads me to believe it was developed by people who didn't speak English as a first language. That's fine, but it's hard to understand what I need to do to connect Wifi and do different things within the app. This is fairly disappointing coming from Anker, as I normally like their products. If you have the ability, I would recommend just taking out the SD card and downloading video directly to your computer, as it's probably faster than using the app.

This app has never let me down, so easy to use, and very handy if you need to show a video, very fast to download a video also, I'd give this app many more stars if I could

Works like a charm. Very simple and easy to use. Camera has great picture quality day and night. I've bought 2 different brand cameras in the same price range to see which one is better. Roav a1 was an easy win. Better picture quality, easier navigation through menus, great build quality. Dont expect 1Gbps wifi speeds on a $50 camera. It probably has cheapest 802.11a wifi chipset as an added value feature. It works, just a little slow, but works. Cons? Too cheap??

Does what it needs to for managing and downloading videos from the Roav Dashcams (A1). Interface makes sense and is easy to use, with two notes: 1) Requires location permissions. They say they need it to connect to the dashcam. Not sure if that's right or not but I'm not too worried about it. 2) Requires the creation of a VPN to download videos. Fishy to say the least. If you let it create the VPN and then delete it from your settings, everything still works. Do this. Untrusted VPNs are bad.

I've only been using it for a day so far, but it seems to run really well aside from show download speeds from the camera to the phone and if you watch a video directly from the camera without downloading, it buffers every few seconds. I'm recording at 1080 though, so I don't expect a great connection speed from the camera. The only complaint I have with the app is that it doesn't have a way to stream live video from the camera to the phone.

I try to connect to the camera and it gives vague instructions about setting up "tethering" on the camera. it makes no sense. I think they just mean enable Wi-Fi. eventually I got everything going and even installed a version update. the image is good albeit oversharpened. it's hard to read license plates unless you are really close. still for the price it seems okay.

As soon as I connect via WiFi it drops 10 seconds later. Then I have to connect a 2nd time for a continuous connection. If not for that it would have been a 5 star. Problem has persisted since I purchased 8 months ago. I can't be the only one with this issue, unless it's LG V30 related. After a firmware update my issue of dozens of 2-3 second parking mode recordings finally ceased.

App is good to have as a companion to my Roav Dash Cam A1 but each time I update from version 3.0 to 3.2 the update appears to work but when I connect to my cam via wifi the version reverts back to 3.0. Current version states 3.2 but I'm sure it will revert to 3.0 once again after I connect to the cam via wifi as it has already done several times now. It also took some time upgrading from version 2.4 to 3.0. Trying to remember what I did to stop reverting from version 3.0 to 2.4. Any solutions?

It is a good cheap dashcam with wi-fi function, and collision detection. video quality is clear. Only thing that disappoints me is their interface. They hv limited sharing options like fb and utube only. no options to share on watsapp, skype Or Instagram which reduces the ease of transferring from phone. Also, once u upload from phone to any other site, the original sound in recording vanishes. I would rate 3.5. It is avg cam at this price point. It costs $60 but i got in sale so cost was $45.
