  • Awesome material! Crashes frustrating. Nov 21, 2017

    I've been using this app for a couple of years, this year it has become unstable, you can't view an entire video without it crashing. If your not watching the minutes you have a hard time finding where it stopped, even then it may take several tries before you can get it to stay open long enough to get back to the place it crashed. It's very frustrating in that the material is very good and information we all need at sometime in our lives. Please fix the bugs that are in this app, then more epode will benefit from these training videos.

    Chromecast was fixed and combined with AirPlay option making it user friendly and meeting my needs. When I first started using RightNow, I was able to cast to any Chromecast devices in my home including my main TV which has it built in. There have been two updates since I reported the issue with an update which resulted in Cast not working at all. The Cast button is displayed by cannot see any devices. Although I can use my AppleTV, it makes more it complex to share other things I use for display. I know it is an easy fix but am bewildered at how you can implement two updates without a fix - bewildered at not catching the error before it happened. As others have stated, I’ve had some crashes with AppleTV as well - problems only occur with this App.

    This could be such a great app. I’ve known of RIghtNow media for several years now and love what they do. I especially love some of the kids materials they have. However, i can’t remember the last time I tried playing something for the kids and the app didn’t pause every 30 seconds to a minute using airplay. This has been the case with this app for so long. When I begin playing a video, if I go to another app it will immediately pause. If I use airplay so the kids can watch on the TV and my phones screen turns off, it will pause or stop completely. Whenever it pauses it’s almost impossible to simply press play and have it play again. Most of the time I need to restart the app or choose another video and then get back into the video I was originally watching. Looks like I’m not the only one having these issues.

    This app started off working great but for the past month it won't let me get past the first page ("sign into RightNow" or something like that). When I click on it, it will try to go to the page to let me sign in but won't completely open and then about half a second later it'll switch back to the first page. If I just use the website instead of the app everything is fine. I tried updating to the newest version of the app, no improvement. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, no improvement. My other apps work fine and I've got plenty of space so I'm not sure what's going on to cause this problem.

    We’ve had RightNow for a couple years now. Our family absolutely loves the content-individual bible studies for every age group, or group studies that can be used for family devotions, homeschooling resources, and preschool songs and bible stories, etc. Our account works great on our internet TV. However, when I downloaded the app to my iPad so I could do personal devotions, it suddenly locked me out. I’ve reset passwords, etc, but it only locks me out of our account on the app, never through the internet site? Not sure what is going on, but for months customer service hasn’t really been much help. I’d love to update my rating as soon as they update their app. Great content—I’m just disappointed I can’t access it.

    (April 2018 - v 2.2.49 - used mostly on an iPad Pro, OS is up to date, plenty of free space) Sorry to be harsh but the instability of this app has gotten ridiculous. It randomly crashes when searching, accessing queue, a screen rotation change, or just randomly mid-stream. If it crashes, finding your place again is incredibly irritating since there's no bookmarking upon crashing. Seriously, this content is impressive but the platform is downright painful. I was tempted to give more stars for the sake of the content but I just can't. It's bad and someone needs to understand it's bad. Looking forward to seeing it fixed.

    We got the app specifically to lead a group bible study that requires watching the videos in order to have the group discussions, but the app has failed 4/4 times so far. It will stop playing the videos at a random point and refuse to continue playing (even if you wait a while for it to possibly buffer.) I have an iPhone XS and a 2020 TV - neither of which give trouble playing other content - so the IT errors shouldn’t be occurring. Unfortunately, it’s too big of a distraction when trying to lead a group & the negative IT reviews from 2016 seem to still apply, so I likely won’t give their content another chance. Huge bummer!

    My app stays up to date, yet when I cast the app shows the program on tv and immediately skips to the last three seconds... then turns off AND disconnects from casting. Air play doesn’t work either. It plays whatever has been selected for approximately 90 seconds then ends on a freeze frame like its cycling. Giving it five minutes to “refresh” doesn’t change anything. Restarting the app or my phone... doesn’t change anything. I LOVE RIGHT NOW MEDIA! So disappointing the app glitches so badly now.

    I love the app but ever since the update to connect with other devices it has stopped working for me. At first it used to connect through Chromcast but after some time it now doesn’t connect at all. The “RightNow Media” screen will pop up on my TV but when I select a video to cast to my TV, it only plays on my phone and disconnects from my TV. It’s been doing this now for some weeks. Pleaseeeee fix this! I love using the app but it’s frustrating when it keeps crashing on us.

    We love RNM! We’ve noticed issues since the latest update. We will be watching a show and the picture will freeze while the audio continues. It took us 60 min to get through a 30 min McGee and Me episode. We had to summarize the last 5 mins of the show for our kids because we couldn’t get it to work. Good thing that I saw the episode so many times in the 90s...ha! Looking forward to some bug fixes. 👍🏼

    The app has been working great for months on my iPad mini, then suddenly within the past 4 or 5 days, it will crash after about 3 minutes of video play. It makes no sense as there have been no updates, no other app installations on the iPad... I’m in the middle of two very important, life-changing studies actually and I can’t anywhere and I’m honestly heartbroken. Before this, I wish I would have already rated the app the 5 stars it so deserves - it has been a monumental blessing in my spiritual life and I am so grateful! It has surprisingly virtually replaced TV & other media for me by illuminating an unknown desire I have to spiritually and biblically grow in the Christian faith. With all that being said - i must beg you developers to PLEASE tell me what is happening and how do I fix it? I’ve logged out and back in, rebooted, uninstalled the app and reinstalled, but to no avail... What is the key? What am I missing? Are there other apps on my iPad mini I need to uninstall that will bring back The RightNow media apps stability? Vimeo perhaps? Anything? If you help me fix this, 5 star stellar rating promised and this one deleted immediately!

    I have this app on three different platforms/devices. On my Roku it works ok, but is a bit laggy and hard to manuver, but I manage ok. My frustration is coming from the Apple products, my phone and iPad. For some reason it keeps crashing when I try to open something. It's not everything, just what I happen to want to watch or do research on. Now after the latest update it signed me out of the app. I tried to sign back in and it refuses to let me put my email info in, it only lets me put the password. I'm not sure how to fix it or why this happening, but now I can't even get into the app. If anyone knows how to get this fixed, I'd love some help. Apart from that, I love the studies and such, but it's no good if I can't get in.

    This app has some of the best if not the best content I’ve been exposed to. But it being restricted to only certain church community subscriptions seems hypocritical of the content itself. I would love to see it accessible to anyone who wants to hear and learn about Gods word. Not just for the ones in select church communities. As a home group/bible study leader, this serves as a great tool. But I don’t believe someone needs to switch churches or talk their church into “purchasing” Gods teachings to be granted access to God’s word taught by wonderful teachers. I highly applaud the effort in putting this together, but I pray it becomes more open to the individual user.

    I’ve not been a RightNow Media subscriber very long so when I started experiencing app issues I thought it could be my internet connection; but other apps worked just fine. I decided to read some reviews and found others where experiencing the same problems I was having... freezing up when trying to scroll through media, videos playing the sound but the picture freezing up, casting to chrome cast and then all of a sudden it stops and then not able to cast, etc. It’s been very frustrating. I love love love all the content! But I want to be able to use it! It concerns me that if nothing changes will it be reliable enough to use when we do a group study in our small groups at church? Our church is also getting ready to launch this for our families. I would really like all these bugs worked out before we do. Again, I love all the content and thank you for making it available. Just need to be able to get to it!😊
