Waste of money. No use with premium membership. There is no special features like call logs and SMS of my child device. Fed up with response. If they can't provide call logs and SMS , what is the use of premium membership. I hope the team will solve this issue

It is a great application, but not allowing parents to be able to have a pin to open the app just makes it frustrating. Kids often may have our phones for various reasons and can get into the app and make changes. For me, only way to prevent this is by logging out and logging in every time which makes it cumbersome.

Good app to give a little control over a huge part of children’s lives these days. I have three children and each of them has several devices. I am happy to have qustido on all of them. The app works well and encourages my kids to do other things which is why I like it.

We were having phone issues. Anyone else been there? Well I have a parent win.... We have been using this parent control app for the last 3 days. It's awesome it shows everything that they are on. It even shows their location. The best part there's been no arguing over getting chores done. I can shut their devices off at the touch of a button. No chores no electronics! I wish we would have came across this sooner!

We're so blessed! We're so happy to have found this app. With children switch users profile and organized the apps accordingly to age is real help. Assigning the app into the tab color was tricky but eventually managed to sort it out. Worth paying for the lifetime one-time fee. Thank you so much for making this available.

Works when it works, support is awful. Easy to use and fully featured, but buggy. Parents be vigilant. The app sometimes doesn't work at all but you'll never know unless you test it yourself periodically. The kids won't tell you, of course. Support is all by email. It's slow, and they always give the same response... Reinstall. I don't even bother asking anymore. They clearly have no interest in fixing flaws. I would switch but everything else is just as bad or worse. Believe me, I've tried.

With the caveat that we’ve only had this a few days, I’ve seen some significant gaps in Qustodio’s functioning. First, the idea that this can be an “invisible” installation on a computer is patently false. Yes, it won’t show up on the desktop, but it shows up in a simple search or scrolling the “uninstall apps” list. My kid found it within 30 seconds of the first time he got on his computer and immediately uninstalled it. Secondly, the parents app has limited functionality compared to what you get by logging in on the desktop. For example, you can’t adjust the off times from the app, if your kid needs to stay on late to finish homework, for example. Third, and this is my pet peeve with most of these type of apps: there’s no “kill switch.” I want a big button that lets me immediately lock out access to the monitored device, without having to go through menus, adjust time limits or off times, or whatever. Just immediately (and temporarily) lock it out and eventually re-enable it without having to change settings back. Is that so hard? Given that a year of this costs $50, I’ll give it some more time to see if it gets better, but otherwise I’m looking elsewhere...

I’ve been using this app since late June and overall have been pleased with the features. Easy to use and set up. Time limits and app restrictions have worked well until now. 5 months in and the app is glitching to the point of being worthless. Although the Qustodio app settings on my phone and my daughter’s phone says a specific app is blocked, she has been able to use it freely. All the time limit settings are no longer functioning. I’ve deleted the app, restarted her phone and re-downloaded hoping that a clean slate would solve the problem. Nope. Other aspects of her phone have been effected as well. She can’t connect to the App Store. A few of the games on her phone will no longer load. Her phone is 5 months old as well. She has an iPhone 11 so I know an outdated phone is not the issue. Very frustrating to pay for a year and only get 5 months of usable service. I’m currently shopping for a new parental control app.

I had this app for so long now at first it was good but later after phone updates I am just paying for nothing. I use on my kid pc and phone and do the tests on my phone, we both have same phone brand and version. On my phone (mi 9) I can still access everything including Gambling and X stuff. When I use the built-in Cleaner app it removes the qustodio process and when the app in running I can't access bad things from Chrome but I can from built-in browser app.

I wish I could give this a 0 stars. I can’t tell you how much I hate this app. Not only does it know where your child is, it is easy to get hacked into. Parents, do you really want this app seeing your child every day at anytime? Ever think of that? Well guess what. If you are the devil parent and decide to download this terrible app, I suggest you delete it right away. What happens when you can’t take a picture if you or your child are in danger? Your dead. What happens when you or your child can’t call one another because, uh-oh, the system messed up? Get what I mean? This app should get deleted off of the WORLD for all I care. And to the creators: don’t just put some Lowry comment saying everything’s gonna be ok, because I am a victim to this app. I know what it feels like. Parents and children, please don’t download this app. Or else...

Truly great app. I would recommend to every parent that has a child with a smartphone. You can lock the apps or ristrict usage. Also you can set schedules when the kid can use the device. I am now setting 3 hours daily limit and after that the device locks. Very convenient!

Pretty intuitive but does not allow granting additional time requests form child for special occasions. Each time they want more or need more time, time you need to alter the entire setting for that app or day. Then change back.

  • A little disappointed Oct 6, 2020

This app is not as user friendly as I had hoped. The Time Blocker does not work. I thought “this is great. I can set the times of day that I approve and magically at bedtime she would be locked out.” Not so. She can still get into everything and not only that, unless I block browsers, she can look for new apps. I finally found how to lock the device and that did work but it should not be so hard to figure out.....and no contact information......and it’s not that cheap. Takes a lot of work to get this do what I expect of it.

  • Good app plagued by bugs. Nov 25, 2020

    By StarSoldier450
I am a teenager, and my parents recently installed this on my phone. I appreciate that they care about me and want to provide guidance for me. This app, when it works, is quite helpful. However, the abundance of errors and bugs you run into is inexcusable for such an expensive app. It’s a good monitoring system, but be prepared to bang your head against a wall if you expect it to work all the time.

  • Good idea but sadly doesn’t work Sep 11, 2020

    By EuroTrashTrev
Win10 laptop it steals the root certificate for all sites which causes Chrome to give error on every single website. This is a man-in-the-middle type of monitoring, Chrome won’t allow this, MS Edge allows. I opened ticket to support and they gave me canned response. “Re-install and Make sure user doesn’t have admin rights” did that and still same error. No-response from support. Chrome is mandatory for school kids so this is a huge problem. iPad my son has figured out to just shut off the app and bounce the WiFi connection and it resets his time. This is ridiculous. No response from support. I’ve opened a refund from Apple.

App rarely works as its supposed to but I've tried several others and none work as advertised. The only thing that consistently worked was allowing me to see what they were doing so that was useful even if setting time limits didn't work.

We’ve used this app for 2 years. The first year went fine and did not have many problems but in the past several months the restrictive times does not work. I’ll put that the phone need to stop by 9pm but my kid ends up talking and texting until midnight. I emailed customer service and their response is to redownload the app. Well that didn’t fix it. I even sent screen shots showing the usage during the restrictive time. Just frustrating to pay for an app and it does not work like I thought it should. Annoying....

  • Good for the parent, but not for the child. Aug 17, 2020

I have Qustodio on my laptop and most say that it is a nightmare. When I was working virtually throughout the School Year, my computer was constantly blacking out because of Qustodio and blocking school approved websites. When time is up for the day, the next day the time is still up. I also hate that when time is up it straight up shuts down your computer. On my brother’s iPad, I heard that it was blocking him from doing simple features like texting or sending dog pictures. It lets you download apps but then when you try to use the app, no movies / TV shows show up (Disney +, Netflix). I am usually very tech savvy and I know that this app is good for kids, but needs to be fixed a lot. It’s broken on our household devices and always tries to charge my mom and dad 50 USD when they paid yesterday. SCAM

Effectiveness...this app gave us control of screen time for about a week. After that my 9 and 10 year olds figured a work around. Not worth the subscription fees for a week’s worth of effective service. Subscription...what I really dislike is that the company employs a business model that makes it almost impossible to cancel your service. You have to remove the app from all the kids computers. Then, the shifty business practice really come into play. They claim they cannot cancel it, but google or apple have to do so. The website offers no contact information. They simply hide out and continue to collect fees for a service that little kids can work around. In addition to be TOTALLY ineffective, it is also annoying to see how the company tries desperately to cling to your wallet.
