This is the perfect pick for picky pic cross fans. The puzzles are fun and the rewards system is engaging. You can pay for extra supplies, but you can also get by without doing so. A good way to kill five minutes waiting for an Uber ride.

Love the game. Unfortunately, I cannot go any further. Atlantis levels are not completed but it is because I cannot see anymore levels. Please add more levels. I do not want to stop playing.
  • Upgrade Sep 7, 2019

    By kt1313!
I had finished all levels before the upgrade so it was nice to have new levels (buildings) but now it just shows “buy a tier 3 Bomb pack”. I can go no further yet again. I had previously finished all Atlantis levels but it doesn’t show as complete even though I can’t redo the levels to clear them out. Lastly, it would be nice on the special level (food this month) if it would show when the levels are completed. You have to build up on pick axes and you don’t want to waste them on redoing a level you have already completed. Plus you get no prize for finishing the entire pack.

One of the best puzzle games I've played! The puzzles become increasingly challenging with a few easier ones thrown in so that it doesn't become monotonous. The rewards are frequent and the graphics are spot on. The pirate girl is adorable and I love the comments after the completion of each puzzle. So far the nautical references I have seen are correct and well... Pirates! They want to make you smart! Increase yer problem solving abilities, matey! Yarr!

  • Missing Atlantis levels 11&12? Oct 14, 2020

    By Swimfinsmom
I’ve played this game a ton, and I like it. It would be nice to be able to slide your finger to fill spaces instead of tapping each space. I’ve figured out a safe bet is to store up 1000 pick axes before trying to play an event. However, I cannot get the game makers to tell me where Atlantis levels 11&12 are. I’ve written them a couple times and been ignored. They are missing! The path only goes to 10 (and I’ve completed all those). Good graphics, pretty fun to build your pirate city, just need to be more responsive to customers.

  • Freezes on ‘Rate Us’ Screen Oct 7, 2019

Using one star to get your attention. My game often freezes on the ‘Rate Us’ screen. This causes me to have to force close my app and reopen it. Also, for the special events, you require us to use pickaxes for those levels. Unfortunately the number needed to fully complete all the levels is about 700 or so pickaxes. It takes way to long to save that many through the game. So oftentimes I end up not bothering to engage in the event at all. 😞 Yeah, I could drop $40 to get 1200 pickaxes, because that’s the only package that offers enough pickaxes. But I can’t do that every time you have a special event, because I don’t have money to spend like that. I highly doubt many other players do either. Perhaps lower the cost of purchasing packages. Or increase the rate at which a pickaxe drops after ‘random’ puzzles. I know for you, the point is to make money, but you may actually make more money if the cost was lower, because more players could afford it then.

The old version of this game was pretty bad. The new version adds a lot of new features, but doesn’t seem to do anything to fix the core problems with the game, and adds a whole lot of new ones. I say “doesn’t seem” because the game is so unstable I can’t actually be sure. It crashes if I try most of the new features. The only thing I can seem to do is play a random puzzle. Which looks scrunched down compared to the previous version, and has a noticeable lag in responding to any clicks. And it still crashes if I make a mistake or complete the puzzle or try to x-mark a square. But the one puzzle I did complete was ridiculously easy except for one point where I had to make a 50/50 guess; no logic involved—so same as always. For extra fun, try rotating the screen (during startup, at the menu, or in-game): instead of redrawing it stretches the whole thing out to look ridiculous and then stops responding to clicks. Maybe this is for the best. A nonogram game that missed the point of nonograms, where most puzzles can only be solved by guesswork, and where you have to keep coming back to pick up energy before you can even play—it’s probably better that it’s not playable at all. The art style is still nice. Whoever the graphic designer is, it’s a shame they aren’t working with a competent game designer and a competent programmer.

The game just straight-up stops loading halfway through the start-up loading screen and says it encountered a fatal error. I can't go any further after that.

Sad because the game is fun but it's clearly a money grab. No saving progress on unfinished puzzles, either do a puzzle or two a day or spend money to play, and not enough opportunities to make a decent amount of in game currency to play more. The game has a lot of potential but it's ruined by the developer's greed. Reponse to the dev:. The bomb houses barely give you enough to complete one puzzle. If you want people to not play your game that badly by making them wait then they wont.

  • Too easy and flawed logic Jan 5, 2018

    By CoDaPo
Some of the puzzles are unsolvable with logic. You just have to guess and risk losing more precious bombs. Too many of the puzzles are perfectly symmetrical. Also I seem to remember a puzzle or two where the the game auto-revealed squares even tho it wasn’t certain (hard to explain but like if a line has a 2 then a 1 and I tapped on the 1, it revealed the empty pixels even tho the 1 might have been part of the 2 because there was enough unknown spaces for it to go either way). And overall the puzzles are way too easy. Plus the dreaded energy system making progress slow. The art style is nice tho so I gave it 2 stars.

I do lots of picross games and this is my favorite so far. Hoping it really catches on because I think it would encourage other games to have better storylines and add that extra level or two of engagement. I will say though, I didn't see an option on the game to rate it. I had to leave and go to the play store to look it up to do this. You would get more comments if you added that.

  • Doesn’t deserve 5 stars Apr 25, 2018

    By App Store ratting
Look. The game’s fine. It’s okay for a picross game, I’d rate a three-star if I was rating based on gameplay, but I’m not. This game has one redeeming feature that raises it to five stars: PIRATE WAIFU! I love her! She’s an interesting character who you can love without even hearing her talk (unless you count the descriptions of the solved puzzles). In the end, the pirate girl makes this game stand out.

Great game, just the waiting period for the "treasures" is waaaaaay too long and makes you lose interest in the game
  • I enjoy it but... Sep 21, 2019

There needs to be something on the Atlantis puzzles to help players out. Even just listing the minimum number of bombs needed to complete each section would help. The earlier puzzles you can get through reasonably, but you have to save up 400 or so bombs to do one Atlantis section. To even things out a little, I’d suggest doing some of the following: •List the minimum number of bombs needed for each section •Change the cost of colors (1,2,3,...) instead of (1,3,5...) •Don’t have to restart if you run out of bombs in the middle of the puzzle •If you run out of bombs and have to restart, you get back the bombs you used.

So many programming errors. It's bad enough that the design of the game is unnecessarily hard (difficult to get enough bombs, long wait times, ridiculous penalities for mistakes) but the programming is just terrible. If you click on the "10" to eliminate a row, but you've already spent 3 bombs on that row, it takes 10 bombs from you, even though you used 7. When you play the random puzzles, you never actually get what you win. For example - I have 0 bombs. I win 10 in a puzzle and now I have 4?

The upgrade was pretty cool! You have more options to earn prizes over time and you can play a lot. But just recently (yesterday and today) they’re interrupting with ad after ad after ad. I don’t mind a few ads but two in a row while you’re playing for legendary treasure and getting NO reward for watching the ad. It’s completely off-putting. Feels like I’m wasting more time on the ads than the game. Why bother? And there’s no option to get rid of them, like paying to have them permanently removed.

I was very happy to find just what I was looking for in a nonogram game. This game has the puzzles I love with a meta game outside of the puzzles and abilities to help solve the puzzles. It is the only app I could find that was similar to Pokémon Picross. Unfortunately, you are very limited on how much you are allowed to play without constant monetary input. I would love to make a reasonable purchase to be able to play as much as I would like. You just have think a moment about what this game is really worth.

so the energy system is fine, because it keeps me from playing too much. however, for the limited time event, having another very limited energy for it is ridiculous, especially because we can't save puzzle progress. also not being able to select multiple squares via dragging is a bit annoying, especially with puzzles getting bigger. hopefully you can improve on this system bc I did download this game a while back before we could earn bombs this way, so it's at least better than before.

Bombs, which are needed to play, fill SUPER slowly. "Random" levels, which provide items used for alternative levels, are poorly designed and often force guesses, and you can't depend on context clues because they're basically pictoral gibberish. The penalty for wrong guesses is also WAY too high for forced random guessing. It's fine if you want to play for a few minutes and then move on, but don't waste any money on this poorly designed game. You don't even get all of the items that you "earn."

With the new update, there is more to do. There are also a lot more items you need to get to play them and attaining them is a chore. To play the game like the way it was before you now need log in every 10 to 20 minutes or the free bombs caps out in small increments. I enjoyed playing this game more casually and this update seems more fixated on having you constantly coming back for small helpings just to progress or pay to buy items to play. I don't appreciate it and lament the change.

Really fun game, although many of the puzzles are quite easy and the logic is skewed on some. However, the reward system is ridiculous! Thousands of bombs used for the colored puzzles, and the reward is a whopping 8 bombs?!?!?! This game was designed to take your real-world money, or leave you waiting DAYS to collect enough bombs (about 90 per hour possible) to make any progress. I love Nonograms, but making me wait days, having to check in hourly, is ludicrous. Just can’t afford to stay in this one ...

Cute game. Would give a 4, but recent update has made it virt unplayable. I need resources, ESP DYNAMITE AND RINGS, to unlock the next level, only gotten from RANDOM BOARD, which now can only be played 10 times a day. At 10/day, it may take a week to get resources, for every level I need to unlock. The time limit on bombs is enough. The limit on Random is too much. Ads have also become more intrusive, and buggy. Auto-ads causes back button or X to not work, requiring closing and reopening game.

I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I have to say it’s incredibly frustrating that I have to force close the app almost every time I’m asked to leave a rating on the App Store. This is probably my favorite nonogram game, but having to close out of it every few minutes or so is beyond annoying, and having been playing this game for months, I’m losing my patience hoping it’ll get fixed. I’ve seen other reviews stating the same problem, and have yet to see an update doing anything about it. I’d be happy to change my rating once I see this is fixed.
