  • Overall love the game! Dec 4, 2019

    By Stine0489
I have been playing for a while and haven’t needed to pay anything which I like. Some times it seems like it takes forever to get chickens and coins but they go a long way when I get enough of them. There is the option to buy what I need but if I am willing to wait I can get it with out paying for it. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because pick axes are not easy to come by but is required for the events. It is also not clear how many is needed for each level of the event and if you have to back out of the event you loose your progress and all the pick axes you have used. I don’t want to pay for them which means I have never been able to complete the events.

Its a great little spin on basic Nonogram games, letting you build a neat village by playing. However, there are still some issues. Sometimes when a box pops up (ex. rating), it'll freeze and you have to close the app. When you use the shortcut to clear 10 chests, it'll take away 10 bombs, even if you've already cleared out some of the boxes. And in the 10 daily puzzles, the amount of 50/50s are horrible. Most bombs you lose will be in places where you MUST guess. Other than those, lovely game!

Fun pic cross game. Though if you want to play it constantly you will have to pay because there are several types of currency that are slow to build.

  • Upgrade Sep 7, 2019

    By kt1313!
I had finished all levels before the upgrade so it was nice to have new levels (buildings) but now it just shows “buy a tier 3 Bomb pack”. I can go no further yet again. I had previously finished all Atlantis levels but it doesn’t show as complete even though I can’t redo the levels to clear them out. Lastly, it would be nice on the special level (food this month) if it would show when the levels are completed. You have to build up on pick axes and you don’t want to waste them on redoing a level you have already completed. Plus you get no prize for finishing the entire pack.

Cool to play with extra “coins” but need to add how many in line like 7 X 7 or 9 X 9 so I don’t need to count every time I play. 👍

Ads are far too aggressive. There are puzzles that require guessing. Energy currency is too rare, unless you want to watch even more ads.

The old version of this game was pretty bad. The new version adds a lot of new features, but doesn’t seem to do anything to fix the core problems with the game, and adds a whole lot of new ones. I say “doesn’t seem” because the game is so unstable I can’t actually be sure. It crashes if I try most of the new features. The only thing I can seem to do is play a random puzzle. Which looks scrunched down compared to the previous version, and has a noticeable lag in responding to any clicks. And it still crashes if I make a mistake or complete the puzzle or try to x-mark a square. But the one puzzle I did complete was ridiculously easy except for one point where I had to make a 50/50 guess; no logic involved—so same as always. For extra fun, try rotating the screen (during startup, at the menu, or in-game): instead of redrawing it stretches the whole thing out to look ridiculous and then stops responding to clicks. Maybe this is for the best. A nonogram game that missed the point of nonograms, where most puzzles can only be solved by guesswork, and where you have to keep coming back to pick up energy before you can even play—it’s probably better that it’s not playable at all. The art style is still nice. Whoever the graphic designer is, it’s a shame they aren’t working with a competent game designer and a competent programmer.

Often will start a level with enough ammo, make one move and then it suddenly zeros out all my ammo. This happens so often and is especially frustrating with the rarer currencies. Occasionally will also just freeze and you lose all level progress. Love the concept but the execution is so painful.

  • Too easy and flawed logic Jan 5, 2018

    By CoDaPo
Some of the puzzles are unsolvable with logic. You just have to guess and risk losing more precious bombs. Too many of the puzzles are perfectly symmetrical. Also I seem to remember a puzzle or two where the the game auto-revealed squares even tho it wasn’t certain (hard to explain but like if a line has a 2 then a 1 and I tapped on the 1, it revealed the empty pixels even tho the 1 might have been part of the 2 because there was enough unknown spaces for it to go either way). And overall the puzzles are way too easy. Plus the dreaded energy system making progress slow. The art style is nice tho so I gave it 2 stars.

I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I have to say it’s incredibly frustrating that I have to force close the app almost every time I’m asked to leave a rating on the App Store. This is probably my favorite nonogram game, but having to close out of it every few minutes or so is beyond annoying, and having been playing this game for months, I’m losing my patience hoping it’ll get fixed. I’ve seen other reviews stating the same problem, and have yet to see an update doing anything about it. I’d be happy to change my rating once I see this is fixed.

One of the best puzzle games I've played! The puzzles become increasingly challenging with a few easier ones thrown in so that it doesn't become monotonous. The rewards are frequent and the graphics are spot on. The pirate girl is adorable and I love the comments after the completion of each puzzle. So far the nautical references I have seen are correct and well... Pirates! They want to make you smart! Increase yer problem solving abilities, matey! Yarr!

I do lots of picross games and this is my favorite so far. Hoping it really catches on because I think it would encourage other games to have better storylines and add that extra level or two of engagement. I will say though, I didn't see an option on the game to rate it. I had to leave and go to the play store to look it up to do this. You would get more comments if you added that.

  • Doesn’t deserve 5 stars Apr 25, 2018

    By App Store ratting
Look. The game’s fine. It’s okay for a picross game, I’d rate a three-star if I was rating based on gameplay, but I’m not. This game has one redeeming feature that raises it to five stars: PIRATE WAIFU! I love her! She’s an interesting character who you can love without even hearing her talk (unless you count the descriptions of the solved puzzles). In the end, the pirate girl makes this game stand out.

Love this game! The only complaint I have is I wish it was easier to switch devices and keep all my progress. However the company did get my progress switched for me just took a little bit of time. Other then that great app.

  • I enjoy it but... Sep 21, 2019

There needs to be something on the Atlantis puzzles to help players out. Even just listing the minimum number of bombs needed to complete each section would help. The earlier puzzles you can get through reasonably, but you have to save up 400 or so bombs to do one Atlantis section. To even things out a little, I’d suggest doing some of the following: •List the minimum number of bombs needed for each section •Change the cost of colors (1,2,3,...) instead of (1,3,5...) •Don’t have to restart if you run out of bombs in the middle of the puzzle •If you run out of bombs and have to restart, you get back the bombs you used.

Only gets 3 star for cute concept. Came across two major flaws in game. One the puzzle would help you solve it automatically by disappearing clouds that at that point were still possible. Two I came across a random puzzle that required multiple guesses because the was no logical pattern to follow

The upgrade was pretty cool! You have more options to earn prizes over time and you can play a lot. But just recently (yesterday and today) they’re interrupting with ad after ad after ad. I don’t mind a few ads but two in a row while you’re playing for legendary treasure and getting NO reward for watching the ad. It’s completely off-putting. Feels like I’m wasting more time on the ads than the game. Why bother? And there’s no option to get rid of them, like paying to have them permanently removed.

so the energy system is fine, because it keeps me from playing too much. however, for the limited time event, having another very limited energy for it is ridiculous, especially because we can't save puzzle progress. also not being able to select multiple squares via dragging is a bit annoying, especially with puzzles getting bigger. hopefully you can improve on this system bc I did download this game a while back before we could earn bombs this way, so it's at least better than before.

I really enjoy this game but it seems like I am now stuck without paying cash. I had 3 chickens last I collected some, which should allow me to build. I go to play the puzzle to build and I have no chickens. Kinda like bomb counts on the old version. The special ones that changed every month, no matter how many bombs I had, when I went to play it would say I didn’t have any.

Really fun game, although many of the puzzles are quite easy and the logic is skewed on some. However, the reward system is ridiculous! Thousands of bombs used for the colored puzzles, and the reward is a whopping 8 bombs?!?!?! This game was designed to take your real-world money, or leave you waiting DAYS to collect enough bombs (about 90 per hour possible) to make any progress. I love Nonograms, but making me wait days, having to check in hourly, is ludicrous. Just can’t afford to stay in this one ...

With the new update, there is more to do. There are also a lot more items you need to get to play them and attaining them is a chore. To play the game like the way it was before you now need log in every 10 to 20 minutes or the free bombs caps out in small increments. I enjoyed playing this game more casually and this update seems more fixated on having you constantly coming back for small helpings just to progress or pay to buy items to play. I don't appreciate it and lament the change.

Not a bad picross game except the "cannon ball" consumable that acts as the number of chances to guess a square that refills at the rate of about ~30 per hour and you have to log in every three hours. Unfortunately such limitations mean the game is heavy on puzzles that have alot of sqaures to fill and if you are not careful you might end up being unable to finish a puzzle due to running out of "cannon balls"

Sad because the game is fun but it's clearly a money grab. No saving progress on unfinished puzzles, either do a puzzle or two a day or spend money to play, and not enough opportunities to make a decent amount of in game currency to play more. The game has a lot of potential but it's ruined by the developer's greed. Reponse to the dev:. The bomb houses barely give you enough to complete one puzzle. If you want people to not play your game that badly by making them wait then they wont.

Really cute game, I loved the premise. But waiting 12 hours for two chickens (when you need them to advance in the storyline) is completely absurd. The game is very obviously trying to force people towards microtransactions. It's a shame, because like I said, the graphics are cute, and it's a new way of playing picross, but I'm over cash grab games. If you have money and time to spare, this might be a better game for you than me.
