Airframe studying done
Jul 3, 2019 I have the App and the three written test study guides for A&P. The Airframe book and the App were spot on for questions. And I have been getting in the 90’s for my practice test with my study method. As I began the Powerplant though there is a definite difference in the number of questions between the first three chapters in the book (Recip, Turbine Engines and Engine Instrument Sys) vs. what App is showing me. I stopped comparing at that point due to the moderate difference in the questions and sent an email to ASA tech support to seek some assistance. But, aside from the Powerplant my experience has been great so far. Have not studied General yet. Will update rating based on level of support I receive or start a new rating all together based solely off of support. TBD. Update: the support was excellent. Definitely recommend the App.more -
Great for on the go studying
Jan 22, 2020 I’m currently taking my airframe written test and there are some questions that are not in the app but if asa would like the questions I would give them to you. a friend of mine went to bakers and they gave a printout of new questions and they are in their book as well just a heads up I have asa books bakers, and the app just to try to make sure I have full coverage now but it would be nice to have all the questions on the app since it’s the easiest for me to usemore -

I still passed but you really need to know your stuff for the general.more -
Mar 23, 2019 Great app. Among the 3 A&P tests Power plant was the hardest for me so I'd suggest you spend 1 entire week (minimum) of multiple hours each day memorizing these questions. I didn't notice any questions on the test that weren't in this study app as was the case with the airframe test. Good luck testing!more

New update is horrible
Oct 8, 2020 Used to be smooth functioning, it would tell you both the wrong and correct answer when you answered a question, now, if you get it wrong, it marks it wrong (obviously) but it then doesn’t tell you what the correct answer is. I used to be a great tool to find the answers to the questions and made studying easier, but this new update has completely ruined that, and has now actually made things more difficult and confusing. It wasn’t until I randomly checked an answer on a different source to find that after the grading, the answer was still marked wrong and didn’t show the correct one. Using this app now adds more wasted time to make the app work for you. Hopefully this gets fixed very very soon or I will have to quit recommending this app to other people. Can it still be used? Of course. But is it still the valuable tool for learning it was before this last update? Hell no. Fix this please!!!!!more -
Feb 15, 2020 The mobile app leaves so much to desire for. It sounds like the PC version has all the nice features. I just wished they would pass it on the the app. Additionally, the Android version is more expensive than the app for iPhones, and you have to pay amd download the General, Airframe, and PP separately. What gives?more -
Aug 25, 2019 Installed a few years ago and dissapeared. Tried reinstalling and it will not install. Need refund. -

Gleim aviation is far better, you get what you pay for
Jan 15, 2021 This app is SERIOUSLY annoying me. I take a test and should get well in the 90's, but multiple questions are wrong because ASA themselves have the correct answers as wrong answers. I'm done with this and moving to Gleim, at least until it's fixed. It's literally the devs ONLY job to build their app well, and in something that matters as much as earning your A&P license, just like working on aircraft, mistakes are and can be deadly. Do yourself a favor and purchase Gleim written study guides, you won't regret it.more

Great App
Jun 30, 2018 Appreciate this app heavily. Has contributed to my career as an AMT in many ways. However, my main concern in relation to this app is that questions are extremely outdated and some are irrelevant or completely incorrect in reference to aviation right now. Also, please update the app to provide secondary testing questions to reinforce what I just went over while studying. Gave this app 5 stars as a reflection of what it currently is and based off what it has provided to me.more -
I would not even consider another app
Jan 26, 2019 This app is the holy grail for anyone serious about passing their test and that is on the clock. I have a family of my own and 2 jobs, and just studying through this app, pushed me to pass all my written exams at once back to back one week apart from each other. Best luck out there. Good A&Ps are disappearing and the exams are getting harder. Prepware will give you the edge you need to succeed at it.more -

Start Button problem
Oct 8, 2019 It’s a great app but the only thing that stinks is when you’re in the middle of a test and save and exit to come back in a bit and accidentally press start it doesn’t ask you are you sure you want to start a new test. I was at 52 of 100 and pressed save and exit and swiped up to open the phone menu where the flashlight is and the app thought I pressed start.more -
It’s very helpful but has not been updated since 2017. Beware when taking FAA written
May 1, 2020 This is a great app very helpful in studying and learning the subjects. I found out that this app has “not been updated since 2017”. The FAA has added way more questions and it’s not very helpful to the person who buys this app knowing it’s not up to date. Don’t completely rely on app, yes a lot of these questions will be on test but a lot won’t.more -
Great app just passed airframe and general.
Jun 7, 2019 This is the best app to use for the written test. I just wish the developer would add a missed question test after you take a test or after the study quizzes. Also it would be awesome when you finish it would break Down what questions you missed from each section so you can focus on your weak points. If they would add these features I would give a 5 star.more

What’s Groovy
Missing a lot of questions. I took my FAA PowerPlant written Jan of 2021, and I'd say PrepWare only covered about 60-70% of the questions I was given. A lot of the existing questions had been reworded, but those are easy enough. Most of the questions not covered by this app can be figured out if you know the system, however the FAA written likes to ask specific and annoying questions that the only practical way of knowing is just memorizing. Which is a big disappoinment that they aren't covered.

I studied all through this app and even got 90s on practice. But the actual exam was so different that I feel this prepware is not helpful nomore

Everything is great besides testing.
This app is really helping study for my airframe written. The only problem is, with the most recent update, I cannot see the correct answers right away after I take a test. The correct answers are not highlighted green.

A & P License
The books really helped along with the app. I would recommend using both. I read all three books and used the study guide on the APP after each chapter. Reading the explanation in the book is what really helped because the FAA question are worded differently. I felt like some of the answers were in the explanations and the explanation are easier to read from the book than the app. -
Excellent to help you get your powerplant license. I got mine. The study and test are excellent. Statistics for scoring are a great help.Zero adds.

Military A&P Prep
As a service member I was referred to this app by a current Military A&P holder. Helped me pass my General and Airframe. I will be taking the Powerplant soon. I also have all three of the 2019 Test Guides. The only improvement I would like to see is the breakdown of your scores per subject area as it is on the desktop version. Aside from that amazing app and investment.

Great app but I have a suggestion
This app is great. Very good studying tool. One thing that would make it perfect is if you could select which questions you wanted to study. Instead of studying an entire section, if you were able to pick and choose questions from that section, this would be the amazing. Other than that, this app is great. -
Current student MIAT college of technology
This app is very helpful and has really helped me prepare for my exams. My only suggestion is to be able to select which categories you can test. Right now if you want to test, it's the entire section. I have 5 categories down, and it would be nice to test out just them, and add more as I get them down. Otherwise it's a 5 star -
Please fix GUI interface.
Please address or return graphical user interface to how it was. As it is now especially in dark mode makes it rather difficult to distinguish or focus on any answers, which in this case is rather crucial. I have used this app for a while and gotten great use out of it but unfortunately as of now it’s hard to not focus on the oddities of its appearance. -
Good study tool, needs constant updates though
I just took the airframe portion test today and there where questions on the test that were not in this app. I know that the app was just updated 2 weeks ago, but many people use this product alone to study. Please continually apply updates. -
Color
Great app and works well, I would like to see an update on the way they show correct and incorrect answers because I’m colorblind and can’t tell which one is right because it tells you the right answer by the color of the words so I can’t use the app.
