Portal Knights has all the features to make this an adventure to remember! It is a well-polished action adventure role playing game with crafting and building elements and more importantly, it is one to be shared with your favorite gamer pal (in my case, it’s my wife). Like Terraria, we’ll be playing together for many weekends to come! As a matter of fact, this game will be the heir apparent until 505 Games gets their hands on another Terraria iteration (keeping my fingers crossed). With the release of Portal Knights, we finally have another excuse to cozy up and stay home! Thank you 505 Games for filling the void! ***With all of that said...there’s only one complaint. I’m playing this on iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2, but I don’t think that matters but: if an enemy attacks me near a building and I enter the building, the enemy manages to kill me through walls...even when the auto-aim is deactivated. Since the game is still brand spanking new...I’ll still give the 5 stars I know it deserves but I would love to have reason to delete this portion of the review. 505 Games is definitely one of the best and I have faith in their drive to create the greatest gameplay possible in every title.

Great game! Needs a little more optimization as max settings can cause some stutter. my phone is a snapdragon 865plus with 12 gigs of ram. it's very much capable of playing this game. Still 5 stars as that's just minor compared to what your getting!

I bought this game on my Xbox a while back and fell in love with it immediately so finding out it would come to the App Store made me more nervous than anything. I was afraid the game would be completely changed due to it being moved to a mobile device but there was nothing to worry about! The game is almost exactly like it is on the console. I just have a few things I’d like to see if possible. The first thing is customizable controls. I still get mixed up and use “A” for jump rather than attack/mine. I feel like if there was someway to customize the controls, it would be 6/5. Another thing is, when using “A” (or whatever button it would be to attack in future hint hint), to make that a kinda joystick as well. What kinda bothers me is that I have to take my finger of the button, scroll a little bit, and then continue to mine. I think it’d be easier as a player if that was a kinda “joystick” so you could look around while mining something rather than having to mine one block at a time. But those are really my only critiques. As far as the rest of the game, absolutely amazing job. Worth every cent

Hey Guys! Just wanted to say, I Love this game. I am addicted! Its not a very popular game, but it sure is Fun. There is one thing that i would like to be added. You see, I just reached level 12 in game, and I made myself a chest room. Each chest is for something different. But i always get confused, because I don't know which chest has the items i need in it. So, it would be cool if you could add something that will make you able to rename chests. It would really help with sorting items. Thanks

I’ve been struggling to find something for my 7 year old to play, and this has turned out to be great fun for him and I both! I find that the AppStore lacks solid games for kids about his age; he’s mature enough that he wants action and quicker gameplay (he loves the first person perspective), but I don’t want the violence and gun themes that seem to be associated with most of those games. Most games that I deem to have appropriate content, don’t hold his attention for long. Also, on a slightly unrelated note, I find Minecraft to be a bit of a bore, personally, but the structure and rpg elements set this apart a great deal. Portal Knights meets both our needs. As an added bonus, we are both super exited about the co-op multiplayer, and since it’s WiFi only I don’t have to worry about weirdos chatting him up, or building offensive structures in the game. So long as you aren’t opposed to magic fireballs and fantasy beat-em’ up “violence” this is a great way to take your child back from Pixel Gun.

Not bad but resuming to a black screen really needs to be fixed. I'm on an S20 and can't do anything outside of the game or else I have to kill and restart it. Even powering off the screen kills the game. Also I seem capped at 30 FPS which I can definitely exceed. Genshin on highest quality still hits a happy 50 FPS

I love this game on consoles my only complaint on the phone is that I can't choose the other species and races to play as! Also the druid class is sorly missed. EDIT: IT HAS NOW ASKED ME THREE TIMES TO RATE THE GAME AFTER I ALREADY HAVE! ALSO THE A BUTTON SHOULD BE A JOYSTICK AS WELL SO YOU CAN LOOK AROUND AND MINE WHILE STANDING STATIONARY!

I truly enjoyed the pc version and was excited to see this game in the App Store. Being able to play a sandbox game on the go with my phone sounded like a sweet idea. After playing for a bit, the game drove me nearly insane with one simple issue. The flick evade controls are horrible. Simply trying to step to the side to place the next block shouldn’t send me diving off a cliff (in more ways than one). Please add an option to have an evade button near the A&B buttons. It is unbelievably frustrating to build on a pixelated tight rope, only to dash off your platform to your death. Even in creative mode, it is near impossible to build anything without rolling all over the place. (Yes, even though you can fly I still find myself rolling half the time by nicking a surface) If it weren’t for that, I would honestly give a 4 or 5 star rating. Personally, I would like the layout to stay the same (action button above the A&B buttons). Just resize it a little and add the evade button to the left of the A&B buttons.

This game is super fun. But with the play games needed to play. I can't play multiplayer with my kids. Please remove the need for play games, so we can actually play together again. Google isn't gonna fix this issue for family link, it has been 2 years now. But we always play terraria together, and miss playing this... thank you in anticipation.

This game is pretty fun, and would be really fun if they were still maintaining/updating this (Android) version. Sadly the version for Android is multiple versions behind all of the other platforms (PC/XBox/Playstation) which makes cross platform multiplayer impossible. Something they don't bother to include in the description. Could easily be 5stars if they decided to update it.

Super fun and easy to pick up! I would give 5 stars but I wish I didn't need to be on the same wifi as the other players for multiplayer option :/ . Would be cool if you could invite them from anywhere. None the less, absolutely LOVE the game .

I enjoyed playing this game with my family. It was something easy for a non gamer like me to play as well as kept us intrigued on what would happen next. My only problem is that even if your level for your character is lower than the place you are going to you can still succeed and move on. Cause of that we got all the way to the end and just dropped it cause there wasn't anything keeping us wanting to play. Great game to play just a little too easy and quick to beat with others.

It has some bugs but it's a great game with a lot of potential to become greater. It reminds me a bit of minecraft but with better graphics. It's also similar to dragon quest builders but not to similar. Fun game, if it didn't have the bugs I'll have give it 5 stars.

  • Great game, never perfect but worth it Feb 2, 2018

I love this game, it's one of my favorite time wasters and I have it for other platforms too. A lot of reviews are about the awkward controls and I really hope they patch the iPhone version. Someone suggested making the button double as the right joystick I think, which makes sense because you have to move your finger painfully far to look around otherwise. But I have a different suggestion! If we use the third person camera, add an option to let the character move absolute to the screen view, so that up moves them to the top of the screen and so on. They can just lazy-target whatever's in front of them and you can switch to first person for construction and such. That way you don't have to worry about the camera controls at all if you just want to grind five minutes before bed or something. Just have it be like an old top-down RPG that targets the most obvious thing in front of you without the crosshair.

The game is great, however I am unable to minimize the game. After switching from another app, the game freezes ang giving me a black screen. I am already going to give it a 5 star if the bug is fixed.

I really enjoy this game but for the second time. When I attempt to update this game it says that it can’t update the app at this time. This happened with the last update and I couldn’t update it. So I deleted it and tried to redownload it expecting that it would have saved my save data. I was wrong, lost everything. And now here I am again an update has come out and it won’t let me update the game. Yet I can update all the other hundreds of games and apps I have on my phone (iPhone X) Edit: the developer response suggests that I attempt to use a different WiFi and or restart my phone (the first two things that any competent person would do when something goes wrong, which I did) as I mentioned I have countless games and apps that are updated on my phone daily. Yet this game doesn’t update twice. Perhaps this issue Isn’t with the actual coding but some sort of App Store glitch. Regardless as the maker of the app I’d make it my priority to find out why it’s happening and get the responsible party to fix the problem. I’ll give it a three star instead of one seeing as it may not directly be the developers fault but it is still an issue that is unique to this game and in my opinion the responsibility of the dev.

Meh. I bought this game for 5$, I was hoping for a decent game. Dont get me wrong, i like it and enjoy it but just a few things id change 1. Islands? Really dude? Falling off the islands is stupid, and you lose coins ontop of it. Dumb idea. 2. The camera system is total garbage, it has the hardest time switching from any mode to any mode.. Makes your game bounce in and out until the camera can focus on where it needs to be. 3. A.I targeting needs to have a dropdown list to target enemies.

  • Game keeps freezing and losing progress Jan 2, 2018

    By Frequent_User_6
I first played this on the Nintendo Switch and it was awesome. So when I saw it for my mobile I was excited to play it. Game play is good and touch controls work well. Playing on an iPhone X, the graphics seem better than the Switch and it is very smooth. Only note is playing it will make the phone hot. Noe my reason for the low score is the game keeps freezing and when it finally reloads, I have lost progress and items in my inventory. For example, I placed a bunch of looted furniture around my house, crafted a new wand, and built the spawn shield. When I placed the shield, the game froze. When it finally reloaded, everything I did was lost and all the items I used to craft the wand and shied were missing also. This type of thing has happened several times now and it is very frustrating to lose all the time I spent collecting the materials only to have to do it again. Developers, Please fix this!!!!!
