  • Useful to raid but can’t confirm weather boost Aug 16, 2020

    By Battlegods18
If you’re hosting a raid, this is awesome. Can usually depend on at least 3-4 to actually join the raid with you, but often all 5 invitees join the raid. Very useful if raiding by yourself and need to get help quick. If you’re trying to join someone else’s raid, it can be difficult to get into a raid room because there’s so many users on the app now. The wait times can be quite long, upwards of 30+ minutes before you get into a room during peak hours. Otherwise, still very useful, especially when the raids aren’t active in your region anymore due to the hour of the night. My biggest feedback is there must be a way to confirm that raids are actually weather boosted. Some trainers lie about it being weather boosted, and we get tricked into wasting our raid passes, which we spent money on to use. m0rb1u5scuni is one such user who lied about a raid being weather boosted and everyone in the room was incredibly frustrated about this false information which we only knew after it was completed. Please integrate coding to be able to verify the weather boost before we use our passes please! I’ll give it 5 stars because it’s actually a genius platform that just needs more development.

Amazing App but.... what needs to be reworked is the auto join system. I understand it exists to make the App creators money- which they totally deserve but this feature really makes the App less desirable to people who can't pay to use auto join which in my opinion decreases potential customers. What needs to be utilized is a queue system that gives precedence to paying customers but also includes nonpaying customers. That would make this app 5/5 for me.

You have to pay if you want extra coins if you want any chance of getting in to some of the raids. I understand the concept however when those coins are spent on getting in and it’s then up to a “host” to make sure everything else goes smoothly it’s a recipe for disaster. I would say out of the 5 raids I paid to auto join half of them don’t work or something goes wrong. So after an hour of waiting it is very frustrating then to lose those coins(real money) and not have anything for your trouble. From what I can see there is no reporting system to even try to get those back. This needs to be fixed. Update.... I was contacted by PokeRaid and they did refund back the coins that were lost do to the “Host” issue. Although I still think there needs to be a better system in place for this I definitely commend them for stepping up with their customer service. I am updating to 4 stars. Will wait to see where the app goes from here and possibly update later.

  • Great when it works—horrible when it doesn’t Sep 10, 2020

What’s great about this app? Host raids and instantly get guaranteed participants. Raid locations all over the world. Virtually meet people from all over the world. What’s horrible about this app? The people who abuse it. From people who write offensive things in the raid rooms to hosts who start a raid, don’t communicate with you then leave, there has got to be a version of this app that allows you to report those who do these things. Today I lost 100 coins in two raid rooms because the first host ghosted us and the second host started the raid then left. My review would be a 5-star review if it weren’t for these issues.

I have enjoyed finally getting to do t5 and mega raids! It took me a while to learn how to work it. It's hard to get in a que without auto join but not impossible. To use auto join you will need coins. You can get coins from daily login and a post on Facebook. Also coins can be purchased. I've been using this for a while and havent purchased any coins. All in all I'm glad I found this app!

Nice idea, but can't really get into raid rooms unless you use coins. And then, if you do use coins, even coins that you may have purchased, you still may not get into the actual raid. Nice way to lose money.

  • A Cash Grab with SOME Benefits if You're Lucky Sep 22, 2020

    By JDwg222
I've spent money on this game only to be shafted by hosts who either don't start the raids or hosts who don't invite people in time. There's no report option for these situations either. The "daily coins" are way too low for the amount of times you'll be screwed over by being thrown into a bad lobby. If there was a refund option to where you received your coins back due to a fault lobby host/connection/etc it would be fine, but there's not. And to accumulate enough to do ONE raid for free, you have to open the app consecutively for a week. Why open it if you can't battle? Why not get a small amount of coin for hosting? There has to be a better set up for this. With that being said, this is a vital thing for players who live in remote areas or people trying to get the distance trading awards. But the cons of it outweigh the good.

I’ve only been able to host raids, never join. Why? Cuz the moment a raid opens, its auto filled and closed even when it says its open. The app constantly pushes you to select auto fill.. except you have to spend coins for it. 50 coins per auto fill, a dollar gets you only 100 coins. You don’t even start with 50 coins to try it and the Pokémon you want isn’t even the one you’ll get at times. This app is literally only useful if you can host raids and need help or if you want to dump $$$$ into maybe getting into a raid.

Honesty, this app is absolute trash. The developers do not reply nor have a way for you to get your coins back. Whenever there is a new raid boss, the app crashes or you gotta queue into auto join. Ok, you get 10 coins a day so if you wait a whole week, there’s some host that will queue you in and never invite you. If you’re unlucky like me and buy coins, well you might as well be burning your money. There’s no accountability for bad hosts, honestly, just look up a raiding discord

  • Just used for the first time and I love it! Sep 19, 2020

I love how you can refresh and filter raids with spots available. It is easy to navigate. I have never beat a top tier raid but with PokeRaid it made it possible! Yes you do have to be quick on the draw to join a “raid room” before it fills up but it’s honestly worth it when trying to take down a raid you really want. And I absolutely love being able to host a raid. I post it up on the app with a screenshot, and boom! It fills almost automatically and it is up to me to orchestrate the invites. With this app, my girlfriend and I will never miss another big raid boss! Thank you PokeRaid!

Great way to find raids happening worldwide, especially after dark when raids stop happening in your time zone. Also, if there's any advice I have for those using this, I'd say don't send gifts, because the other person will probably remove you from their friends list after the raid is done, due to the 200 friend limit in-game.

There are a lot of reviews saying the app was ruined, so I didnt install the app until today when, in an act of desperation, I installed it to do a deoxys raid. The quick join feature does not inhibit the app's abilitities in the slightest and it is very easy to use! Ive done 3 raids using this app so far and its all gone great, no obstacles, and good players to back me up in a level 5 raid. I would review on the feature of joining rooms but all Ive done is create them, but the process seems very straight forward and simple.

  • Hosting is incredibly easy Aug 7, 2020

    By Clayhitchy
Hosting a raid is so easy! The hardest part is waiting for the Pokémon to move slightly so you can get a screenshot where the text will be recognized (although I’m told this is fixed in the latest update). People join almost immediately, I add them then invite them to the raid, simple as that. 41 Rayquaza raids (and counting!) and I can say this app has been essential when raiding in small towns.

  • Good but needs improvement Sep 22, 2020

    By Juytrreee
Such a great idea! Love the app but withholding 1 star because: 1) too many new hosts screw up the raids. This is fine, there is a learning curve. But participants shouldn’t be punished for bad hosts (losing auto join coins). 2) the whole concept depends on the hosts but there’s no incentive for hosting. Should get coins or at least positive ranking for hosting properly

  • Pretty good PoGo raid supporting App, but still need improvement Sep 24, 2020

    By Jsn Cai
Works as intended. However, it is better to have a rate system to rate the Raid room host, as some host post wrong weather boosted information or not responding. So let user choose current weather when posting the raid INSTEAD OF choosing weather boosted or not

  • Getting Better Sep 8, 2020

    By TonyPjamas
They have improved this a lot since launch, however due to this app being shared on social media and so many new players coming in we need a rating system for hosts ASAP. Last 8 raids I have tried to do were a big waste of time. Give us that and I’ll rate 5 stars! Also I would suggest making the training videos mandatory for new accounts or at least before you can host?

I spent way too long refreshing on the dot and not getting in any groups. I tried the auto join feature and I waited hours. You can't even queue in the background so if you click off or your display turns off you're out. Very frustrating cannot even confirm if auto join works as I got to next in queue and was waiting 20 minutes and still didn't get through.

It's good for 3 star raid or lower because raids like 5 stars you really need high lvl players. As to why 3 stars it's definitely the people, there needs to be a mute or either a kick player option for room admins. I've had experience where some people are beyond rude and just complete douchebags. Overall the app is good

This app was great for about the first day it was out, until they started monetizing it and restricting raid rooms capacity so you’re forced to spend money. Except! Oh no! Half the time you auto join, the host has no clue what they’re doing, and you don’t even get to raid! You can’t monetize other people’s stupidity, so until this gets fixed I’m leaving this at 1 star and also definitely steering clear of this scam
