Jan 8, 2021 good game, but they have a competitive mode in which you can buy permanent magnet for 50 euros which is a disgusting pay to win feature. -
Yes!
Sep 19, 2017 Don't write too many reviews but I loved this game so much that I felt compelled to. Was looking for a new game after the latest Lords of Waterdeep update completely ruined my all-time favorite mobile game. Settled on the Ascension card game and then found this. This is a lot of fun...not chaotic than the Games I usually play but I absolutely love the variety of cards, power ups, craftable items, and treasures. Explosions are great and the monsters are just challenging enough to keep the game interesting without giving you the level. I have yet to buy anything in-app. You can totally play this free as long as you're willing to earn it. I don't buy victory. Going to be trying to collect treasure sets for a looooong time. Great game...thank the Lords of Waterdeep developers for pushing me over this way.more -
Super Amazing Game
Dec 12, 2020 The updates just keep getting better. Also I have just one request. Is there any possibility of bringing back the watch a video for gems like from the first game. I can never get tapjoy to work but if we had the watch a video option available it would be a really great addition. Because TapJoy never works. But I would gladly watch as many gardenscape videos for some sweet sweet gems. Otherwise such an amazing game. Always so fun to play and it’s has been fun playing on crews now. Also thank you for adding the participants get the prizes only in crew tournaments. It really helps motivate people to actually participate. Hopefully one day I will get to El1te.more -
Attack of the miner monsters!!
Sep 24, 2017 This game is great and better than the previous pocket mines, but the monsters are a bad addition. They always hit you because you have no time to react and kill them before they hurt you. You lose in unfair ways. My friend just a second ago got to the chest at the end and died to a monster down there before he could even open the chest. Please just take them out, or at least make them easier to kill. There’s a perk on some purple items that give 60% MORE monsters, like why would you equip that? I honestly almost wanna stop playing it or just get pm2 just to stop with monsters. I feel like the devs just made them to make it different from the previous game, and I don’t like it as much because of it.more -
Nov 15, 2020 Beautiful graphics with various events everyday, so it's not boring. The in-app purchase for set item is still within reasonable price. Overall it is a good mini game that can be played when we have only a little a spare time on hand. Not too overwhelming or time consuming but still fun to play with.more

Oct 23, 2020 Was really fun up until the new "Limit Break Tokens" were introduced. They've broken the progression of the game. At least prior to this update you could upgrade your cards as you saw fit so long as you had the requirements but now with this new system you have to play a game mode for the chance to upgrade your cards and if you fail (this isn't an overly simple game mode) you can't upgrade anything that day. Feels like playing and collecting cards isn't even worth it anymoremore -
Nov 16, 2020 OK, but a definite step down from version 2. Update, 11/15/2020: Can no longer get scores for daily tournaments. Shows me logged in, but cannot connect to Google Play. Google Play shows me connected to PM3, but not vice versa. I logged out and back in and still cannot play. Also, new upgradeable cards are ridiculous. Earn tokens only through Labyrinth, and you have one chance per day.more -
Energy requirements are outrageous
Jan 31, 2019 I hate the monsters. It's not at all clear how you're supposed to take advantage of "startling" them. But beyond that, the events and levels require way too much energy! What I loved about PM2 was the higher level events asked for rubies, which you had to work to earn, not 3 energy, which you have to wait--or, what Roofdog wants--pay for. I also hate the way the characters work now. Their powers are limited to charge ups instead of lasting throughout the level. That's a real downgrade from the second game. And I miss the variety of ore. It kept the mine visually interesting as you descended. I miss the goals. This game really misses the mark compared to its predecessor.more -
Nov 15, 2020 The concept is great but what I don't get and what games like this do is they put a cap on what you do this is stupid I just played for 3 mins and found I need to wait 15 mins to play again fix this if you want people to stay activemore -
Nov 13, 2020 What's up with the gems? It shows me I need to spend a gem or die now. I spend the gem and it says you need another in like ten seconds!!

You need this
Oct 2, 2019 Fun game. Had pocket mine 2 before this, loved it, so I got this one. They’ve added monsters, which my first take was “no,” but now, I occasionally play pocket mine 2 on my kindle, and miss those little things. Love the surprised faces before you kill them, and yes, they are a very good addition. It’s harder to progress in #3, I think, but it’s because they give you harder levels sooner, so I’m getting more stars on the levels I already passed. But yes, this is a good game, and you will enjoy it.more -

Nearly perfect....
Sep 17, 2017 I loved pocket mine 2 and I love 3 even more. The power ups and gear are amazing and collecting money, coins, and artifacts are extremely satisfying. It's so exciting when you craft an awesome piece of gear and manage to combine it with equally powerful cards. The only thing keeping the game from being virtually perfect is the monsters, you have literally a millisecond to kill them before they hurt you and there's a ton of them sometimes. If we had just a little more time to kill them before being hit and your energy built up a little faster then I'd give the game a total 5 stars. Either way though, I'm completely addicted to pocket mine 3 and I highly recommend you try it!more -
The explosions are quite satisfying
Oct 2, 2017 I've been looking unsuccessfully for a proper digging/exploration game for some time. This one is hugely addictive thanks to the feeling of constantly opening presents, with explosions. And it's not too greedy with the IAP: the starter pack is enough for me to make nearly constant progress with an appropriate level of difficulty. I managed to reach the end of the adventure just when I was afraid I could not progress due to the blacksmith limit. But now I’m out of content and would really like some kind of endless mode...more -
Very fun
Jan 26, 2018 I enjoy playing between classes on campus rounds are quick and fun The one feature i miss most from pocket mine 2 is being able to setup specfic builds for characters with both cards and gear Theyve recently rolled out a feature that you can buy legendary gear with a random card equiped to it... this caters to pay to win players which is a bit scary but hopefully we will see more content readily availble to those who dont want to or cant pay real moneymore -
Prefer Pocket Mine 2
Oct 6, 2017 I love the series, but I like pocket mine 2 more than this version. Not as much variety of equipment. I have created like 8 of the same gold item. The mines only go to 200m and simply take more pick hits per block as you advance. There is nothing you can do with the extra common artifacts you find. I like the daily challenges which is nice way to earn extra cards and equipment. Hoping there are many updates to come.more

Not as good as the second one.
Oct 15, 2018 It just feels like a lazy repackaging of Pocket Mine 2 (for the most part the same textures are used, sometimes where unnecessary (beach anchors and starfish in a desert area?)) with some odd mechanic choices made. The enemies, while interesting, often feel finicky to have to deal with. They try to make up for a much smaller variety in ore types by upping how many pick hits each block takes to mine and by setting a depth limit of 200m on areas you’ve already completed. Characters are now randomized, which is just a smidge frustrating. Pickaxes are now gear, which can only be upgraded to a certain point, as opposed to the indefinite upgrading featured in previous games. Overall, it’s just not as enjoyable of an experience as the previous entry.more -
Dec 4, 2020 I'd be more inclined to play and care for thos game if I weren't limited to playing for about five minutes maximum per...I don't even know how long it takes to regenerate to full energy because it's too abysmally low and slow to regenerate.more -
Nov 20, 2020 Laggin as balls, at almost any exploration, otherwise same awesome game as the first and second installment ! -
Nov 18, 2020 Its a great game but it needs more tries than 5 and time to rebuild energy cuts time out for playing

Nov 11, 2020 Great game for both casual and competitive players. So sad to see the greedy monetization and pay2win elements. Would have been 5star otherwise.

Nov 8, 2020 Latest update has killed this game for me. Unlikely to keep playing now the ridiculous upgrade system has been implemented.
What’s Groovy
I was a bit skeptical of this version when I first read some reviews. Having played both the first and second in this series, I was excited to see a new version. Reviews were shaky the first day and I was reluctant to try it based on them. But I wanted to see if it was really as bad as some said, so I downloaded and very glad I did. It is so much fun!
My biggest concern were the monsters and what they brought in terms of mechanics. Essentially they are blocks that move and will chase you if they have a path. But you can be smart and blow them up without losing pick hits or armor. And there is great incentive to go after the monsters. They drop the coins to craft better gear. In this version gear crafting is much more strait forward than previously.
The mine building algorithm is much better in this version as well. Many more chaining events with each run. This had been a particular gripe of mine with v2. In the first version I had many chained blasts and events, but they seemed to tone them down in v2. Now this version brings back that excitement!!
While I have already put in a lot of time, there are some block types I have yet to see from previous versions. And I have not seen any new block types (aside from monsters).
I look forward to updates. Hope they produce a Halloween map full of monsters wearing costumes and classic movie monsters.

What’s Subpar
It's a good concept, but needs work on their performance. Whenever there is an explosion, the entire screen starts lagging. Even on the beginner levels it's noticeable.
