Learn to read EASY
Jul 31, 2014 My son uses this app and it's super easy & excellent quality. Learning to read with sight words and phonics, quick games and quiz to test understanding. The ability to move back or forward in the lesson as well as add additional users means all my younger kids will get to use this too. If they had this app for learning another language I would sign up, it's great for ESL (no matter the age) too. Wishes for the app: ability to play site word or phonics games without being part of the lesson, that the glitch of user names disappearing would be fixed. (Pay attention to the lesson # your child is on you can move back to it)more -

One pedagogical flaw
Apr 3, 2013 This is a good app, but there is one pedagogical flaw that I can't get past. At the end of the quiz, if the child misses a certain number of answers, he gets a big blue circle and a voice says "You have failed the quiz" and the program boots the child back to the beginning of the lesson. Sheesh! I thought that kind of stuff went out with the original McGuffeys! How about "good try, let's try it again." It's makes me not want to subject my Pre-school grandchildren to such categoric language.more -
Autistic son! Amazing app for him!
Mar 29, 2013 My autistic son is non verbal and is only 6 years old. This is an amazing app for him to practice on. We use an app called touch chat however very expensive and this one helps them to practice not necessarily speaking for them. I call the other app "A Voice for Jayce". This one is actually teaching him. Thank you very much for this app. So worth the money!more -
Great App!
Feb 6, 2013 This is really a great app, for learning the good old phonics way! My only suggestion to make it better, is for the male voice that you hear through out.... Sound a bit more excited... He just sounds a little dry.... or bored, which makes it a little harder to keep the attention of a little one! But otherwise, it is awesome!more

Nice sequence
May 30, 2013 Lessons can start off a bit slow. I like that you can move ahead. That said, lessons move forward in a nice logical order and my 5 yr old enjoys the animations. Some of the phonetic print can be confusing at first. -
Well Worth the Money
Mar 19, 2013 Very good app. My 6 year old son has a hard time with phonics and I can already see improvement in just a few days. He actually asks to play the app so it is five stars in my book. -
Save your $$$ for this!`
Sep 21, 2012 There are lots of apps aimed at phonics and reading development, and then there is this! My students always look forward to working with this app, and more importantly I see retention and development. Great app! It's the best $$$ I've spent on an iPad app...more -
Works!

Too expensive
Sep 24, 2015 I like this app a lot and use it almost everyday for my reluctant reader, but it is too expensive for what is basically a digital workbook. There's no variety in the activities, just a new list of words and reading for each lesson. It is not bad, but I would like for it to be $9.99 or less.more -
Using for son with autism
Sep 7, 2013 We have been using this for homeschool and my son read the first sentence! It is a great app, however, I do not like the " you failed" when they get the test wrong, my son almost had a melt down when he heard that. It should be changed immediately!more
