  • Best Realistic RPG Golf Game Out there, bar none May 29, 2020

    By Mr.mikeRawtch
I’m not even sure how I haven’t heard of this game before now; let’s just chalk that up to their marketing team. Anyone who’s played games like Summoner’s War where you collect 1-5 star monsters and upgrade their runes to grind through the game; picture that but with golf clubs and all manual play. Yes, a large part of the game is grinding to get the right clubs or level up your current clubs/components for better sub stats but it still comes down to sound judgement and skill on the course. You’ll level up faster if you’re just good at playing. This isn’t an arcade game with clubs that have their own special superpowers (thank god) so if you want that crap, move on to PGA Shoot Out or Golf Clash. In doing so though, you’ll be missing out on this little known masterpiece. THIS is the game company that the PGA Tour should have signed with instead of the jokes over at Concrete. Bottom line, if you want the most realistic and competitive mobile golf game, this one is for you. If you want a crap game to pass the time, pick any other game on the market. I want everyone who reads this review to do their part and find some way to spread news of this game to help out their marketing team.

The game is very good, they do a lot of things right, but I’d still like to see a few improvements. I think when you go online to play multiplayer, i think that everyone should have to use a certain set of clubs. Now if it’s a friendly game or clan game then they could use their own, but to keep things fair in multiplayer there should be some kind of leveling done. If I can’t reach a three par or if I’m using a driver and my opponent is using an iron, there’s nothing fair about that. I’d also enjoy the option to choose my own clubs, as you’re leveling clubs you are forced to make bad decisions like focusing all your resources on your driver and putter which leaves a serious gap between your driver and three wood, mine is 60 yards, lol. There should be an option for a two wood, maybe a one iron if perhaps I dislike the trajectory and rollout of a wood. And lastly, allow users to be more creative with their shots, by adding flop shots, chip shots, punch shots, let us dial back a driver to one yard if we choose, what’s the harm, I want to be able to create unique shots that make the game more fun and more rewarding at the same time, the current model leaves you with gaps in your clubs that are almost always impossible to overcome, we need more options, I want to flop my nine iron 10 yards if I choose, burn my 4 iron below the tree branch, the possibilities are endless. With that said, there’s a lot you all do right, it is a great game, thanks for listening.

This is without doubt the best golf game I have played, unfortunately, that says more about how poor other games are. It should be fun, but it's frustrating & negative. When you improve, the time shop has no items to buy which are any use at all Failed power up of components must be the most anti customer part of any game i have played, it's ridiculous. Most putts circle the hole even if you hit the centre of hole. Support are unhelpful, either blaming the player or not replying at all.

  • Enjoyable but with some annoyances Jul 28, 2020

I tend to look for games I can play for a few minutes during some downtime and for me this fit that bill. After logging several hours now with it, I still enjoy it but am quickly becoming frustrated. My biggest complaint is skill and distance mismatch against AI opponents in career mode and the insanely complex and convoluted club upgrade process. As others have stated, if you can’t clear a water hazard or bunker off the tee with a driver you’ve designed your course poorly. As a lvl 18, and with a decent driver and “perfect swings” I’m carrying 250 on a good day and I’m competing with opponents bombing 325 yard drives on every hole or 250 yard 3 woods off the fairway. Which means I can play a perfect round from the tips and be one putting pars and still losing every time. This would be manageable if the club upgrade process was straightforward. The videos tutorials help but there is still confusion on how long it’s going to take or what driver I’m going to have to craft (and don’t get me started on that debacle) to begin to have a chance. To the developers...swing mechanics are pretty decent (though being in the rough eats up too much yardage), graphics are really slick and gameplay hasn’t been glitchy at all for me. But golf is a difficult game as it is, I shouldn’t have to add club crafting to my resume to play a game on my phone.

The recent match play change is basically a rip off of golf clash, still can barely level up comps due to the number of fails and coins it takes. 55-85 yards from pin is broken. Clubs have skills now, another waste of coins. Different balls with different abilities, another rip off from golf clash. All a way to get you to use your coins and crystals for no reason other than to spend your money. They cant help the players with better odds on clubs so why help them line their pockets.

  • Horrible golf app Oct 7, 2020

    By Thomasw586
I have played this app now for a week or so and spent way too much on it as well. None less I really tried to like it as I was ready for something other than the WGT golf game. There is nothing like the WGT game. The Perfect Swing is an oxy moron as it wil never be the perfect swing. Issues that I see with the game: 1. There is never a actual view ahead of the area you are aiming and the app provides you an illusion that it is the right spot on the green but every time it lands way short of where you thought it would be regardless of whether you shot was either Good, Great or perfect. 2. No matter how much money you spend on upgrading or adding all these stupid things to improve the accuracy, speed or whatever to get a better shot it still doesn’t improve. None of which improve the distance especially on the driver. 3. There are aren’t driving ranges or putting greens that you can improve you game either. I could go on but I feel I have wasted too much time on this game already. Which is unfortunate as I have played WGT for years and just wanted a change.

  • The Best On IOS! Aug 21, 2020

This game is the best in App Store as far as realism. No stupid super power wind resistant turbo balls here. However, you can upgrade your club and find actual parts to customize the club to match YOUR style of playing. I haven’t found any other quite like this, very unique and gives me something to think about when playing. The putt is hard, just like in real golf, but it will feel GREAT when you finally sink a long one. Don’t give up, just play through career and you will start feeling it. To the devs: Thank you for this! I can tell y’all love golf at least a little and not just money. Will be supporting! Only complaint is that a couple times the wind was blowing right and ball went left. Not a game breaker, Just letting you know.

  • Great Golf Game Aug 19, 2020

    By Ncraximus
Okay this is definitely the best golf game on the App Store! Actually plays like the real game of golf and great graphics! I do have an ask to make it even more exciting in the future: can you expand on your career mode so that your golfer plays an actual tour season against computer opponents, so basically simulating what it would be like to be a tour pro playing a pga tour like season? Each year your golfer would have to finish high enough to get their exemption card to be able to compete in next year’s tour and so on. Basically simulating the experience of what it would be like to be a real tour pro. Thanks for the consideration and again great game!

I think the game is far better then other golf games. It has good mechanics and plays mostly the way golf plays irl. It will take time to lvl up and build clubs, but that’s part of the fun. I have had a great experience with this game so far and hope it will continue. I do agree with some others about the lack of personalization though. I think some of the negative reviews are players who prefer and are more used to the arcade type matches where shots are made that are humanly impossible. Keep up the solid work!

  • Short Fun Quick Golf Game for Everyone Jul 4, 2020

    By RecklessGolfer
First thing, even tho it’s a free to play game. You will quickly noticed, it’s pay to win. At the same time, you can’t buy skills and course managements. Hint, be sure to play career mode as much as possible to gain exp and gears. Doing this will help you catch up to the people that spend money. Hint, Before you enter “tournaments mode” look at what course is being played and use the career mode and practice on the same course and holes. Don’t be afraid to do “match” play, you can gain some key resources. Only thing I would change is the ability to do draw and fades, this is very limited. Also, putting can be a little better, after 15 yards you will never hit one in let alone get close. Overall, this game is very good, I enjoy it. Reminds me of “Clash” golf. Hope they expand on this. “A must download” for any golf fans!

This is definitely the best of the golf games out there. Only thing not giving 5 stars is that you can't change your character after you set up initially. When you do this at the start you don't really know what to do so are stuck with your first choice.

This is a great game in terms of gameplay and graphics. I originally gave this 5 stars but had to edit and deduct 2 stars because this game does not incorporate cloud or social media account linking. I didn’t play the game for a few weeks b/c life got very busy. Deleted it but added it back, yet my account is gone, could not be recovered. In this day and age, must have some type of backup or cloud system. Can’t be tied just to the device so now all progress is lost. I had all 3*-4* clubs. I’ve been playing WGT for over 10 years and have played others like Golf King, Golf Star. Clash, you name it. This is a nice blend of them all. It’s very realistic and the controls are very good. I came from WGT but it grew boring, too-stimulation and wasn’t as fun, no excitement. This game encompasses good gameplay, realism and graphics. None of this matters when the there’s no backup system though. Also when making a player name, it’s letters only, many already in use.

Been playing Perfect Swing for two months. It has been one of the most fun games that I have had the opportunity to play. Clan mode, match play all are fun to play. At first the game feels great and looks even better but beware under the surface is a big cluster. I’ll walk through each one. 1- The club drop selection is hot garbage. It doesn’t matter if you waste money on buying epic boxes or crystals you aren’t getting squat out of the club drops. You literally have to spend and spend and spend in order to find the good clubs to become competitive. A good game also even the cheapest player a pathway to being the best at the game, not prevent it. 2- clan registration. In order to be in a weekly clan match you captain of the team must select for you clan to be registered. There has been numerous occasions where the clan registration button was selected and it not registered with the software that the button is clicked. Causing clan to lose position, gems, coins, and clan points. 3-Email of the dev. When you have an issue you are supposed to use tech support found in the game, which is great but responses from tech support do nothing. In fact, it makes some even more frustrated knowing that GM Mina is just going to copy and paste some standard verbiage in the the email and be done WITHOUT resolving the issue.

The game has always had strange bugs, like having the ai aim in the complete opposite direction at random times when putting, and inconsistencies with how much the wind was affecting the ball in flight. But you get used to it and move on. But after this last update the ball is behaving so drastically different in flight that I’m pretty much done with the game for now. My ability to aim and my timing on the swing haven’t miraculously changed for the worse within the last day. But what did change was the game update. So, go figure.

I think the biggest downfall is that if you don’t spend actual money, you will spend forever in a constant cycle of the same course. There is zero chance to move ahead, as you will constantly play an opponent that plays -1. So even when you par the course, it’s hopeless as your opponent in career mode will play -1 every single time. Have played the same 3 holes at least 30 times . Simply cannot get past it because the computer opponent is better than perfect every time. I have spent 7 straight days in eagle glen he’ll. I’ve upgraded and power boosted every club. Nothing changes at all. I’m stuck with no chance of moving forward. About ready to delete the app.
